Fernandos in Reading

Este conjunto, ahora llamado Manzano's, sirve sabrosos platos de pollo a precios de valor. Fui 3 veces durante su estancia en la ciudad. Me encantó el cuarto de pollo hecho en salsa de mango, también las alas exuberantes. El pollo de Manzano es de buena calidad y se cae del hueso. (Puede elegir otras salsas, por supuesto). Papas fritas decentes aquí también. La única mala elección eran las pepitas de los niños, pequeños medallones de pollo comprimido y reformado: el revestimiento sabe bien, pero el producto de aves de corral no tiene sabor. La hamburguesa Tikka Combo es excelente. No esperaba una empanada de carne de res y una de pollo, como esperaba, sino una empanada de carne de res y una pechuga de pollo entera, que sobresale de ambos lados de la pila. Suena un revoltijo, pero realmente funciona. (Manzano es en primer lugar un porro de pollo, por lo que el pollo en esta hamburguesa es el jugador principal, no la carne de res). El bollo es liviano y solo un soporte comestible, realmente, así que permitió un poco de moco. Pero se mantuvo lo suficientemente bien como para ser comido a mano sin ser retorcido. El tikka y las salsas fueron bien juzgados y no abrumaron el sabor de las carnes, que estaban cubiertas con queso, cebolla roja y lechuga. 4) 99 para este niño grande. El personal era alegre y servicial, Irfan en particular. La comida sale bastante rápido. No comimos en, pero las instalaciones son limpias y atractivas, una unidad de tamaño mediano ubicada en el exterior del Broad Street Mall, que, por alguna razón, se encuentra en Oxford Road. Pero Manzano tiene un juego 'A' y está a la altura, tanto por calidad como por precio.

Lugar ideal para hamburguesas gourmet y pollo peri. Fresco sabroso y a un precio razonable. Una visita obligada para comida gourmet Halal en Reading.

Realmente disfrutamos el peri peri pollo. Era muy sabroso. Las papas también fueron muy buenas porque están crujientes y bien sazonadas para combinar perfectamente con el pollo. Desafortunadamente, el arroz picante no era tan bueno. Estaba cerca de ser tan seco. Recomendamos encarecidamente el pollo y las patatas fritas.

I visit this branch weekly. I cannot recommend this enough the food is always consistent and the service is really good.

En general, la comida ha sabido mejor desde allí sorprendida, ya que no estaba tan ocupada como siempre. Sin embargo, el servicio podría haber sido mejor. Manger en el día no fue muy educado

This was a return visit for us. We were staying in the Travelodge opposite. We met up with family on the Friday and enjoyed a lovely meal . On the Sunday lunchtime we picked up a takeaway. Delicious. The staff are friendly and helpful . We will definitely be going again in our next visit to Reading .

Walked pass a few times so decided to have a try. This place is like KFC but sells Nando food. We had 1/2 chicken and chicken tikka. The food was not bad. Tikka was a bit burnt but tasted okay. Worth a try.

Just visited Fernando’s for an early evening meal . Staff are friendly and helpful. Portions are generous. I had to bring half mine back to the Travelodge that we are staying at, just across the road . Chicken cooked to perfection. Lovely fresh side salad . Very convenient if you don’t want to go too far to eat and spend too much . Two meals with drinks costing under £15 . Not too sure about previous reviews , but we can only give Fernando’s 100% praise .

The food was more bones than meat and the staff didn't acknowledge me or smile, just put my food down in front of me without even making eye contact. I wont be returning.

i go there quiet often and food and service is good.. recommended other friends as well and they liked it

Went in today with family. Ordered fully loaded chips which clearly on menu says cheesy sauce and jalapeño but when it came out it had grated cheese melted in it, which I told the lady who served us is not the same thing. Wouldn't go in again.

It was obvious the staff didn't want to be there, no smile, no real service. Food was just placed on the table. No direction as to who's it was. Drinks took longer to come out than the food for the majority of us. Food was mediocre. Nothing special. Cheaper than Nandos, but definitely not better. None of us will be coming back here. Maybe if they replaced all the staff I'd think about it.

Rude and lazy stinking attitude of staff. Poor/cheap quality chicken. Oh well we learn by our mistakes.

Was here to collect a take away order, this is when I observed an employee picked his nose,then went to the fryer picked up some chips from where they serve the customers are them and wiped his hands on his clothes and then went back to serve another customer. It made my skin crawl they handle food and money without gloves and there is no good hand hygeine. I will never be going back. My food went straight in the bin after that.

First time. Was really impressed with the lovely tasty meal. We had the whole chicken meal which comes with 2 drinks and salad.

Been here 3 times and have to give this place the thumbs up. I ate in with friends on the first occasion and since then I can't resist going in if I am passing by. Chicken is very fresh and succulent. The sauces they provide are very complimentary and an added bonus. I would also recommend their burgers as well as they are very filling and great to take home after long a evening in the office if you like me who wants to relax and eat in front of the telly

Good portion sizes but they need to get the extractor fans sorted as it's slightly smoky in there. Also, when they ask you how you like you chicken, that isn't a light marinade or seasoning as with the other place. If you ask for hot, (as the wife did,) they smoother your chicken in very hot Peri Peri sauce !! And Wow ! Our lips were still humming on the train home !

I'm not sure about the comments I red because the food was excellent and the place is just so clean. Indeed the service is not very fast but waiters are nice. Special star for the nachos and fresh hand cut fries.

Chicken dry and burnt, sauces to sticky and cheap tasting. Overall disappointing experience. I guess you got to try a few bad ones, in order to appreciate the few good ones!

This is blatant copy of the well known Nando's. It is shameful, though, clearly, shame is something that the owner does not have.

Great restaurant, Chicken is nice and of a good quality. I prefer the branch in The Oracle though !!

Always loved the chicken at this place, fresh tasty and affordable (without the 30 minute wait for a table); not surprised that copycat companies such as 'Nandos' are popping up to try and replicate their success (they even stole the classic Fernando's rooster logo!). Will continue to visit and support this place forever

My daughter and I enjoyed a very tasty lunch here. The food was delicious and served promptly. The dining area is really stylish and was very clean. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

The chicken tasted as good if not better than a place like nandos at half the price, highly recommend

Place came highly recommend, being from London I met friends at this place. First impressions very clean and fresh. We ordered a selection of different foods. BBQ wings was amazing, Buffalo wings was amazing, beef burgers was amazing, grilled chicken was amazing topped up with fries. Overall very well cooked and plenty of flavours. Must try the mango and lime. Only bad thing there's no Fernandos in London. Can't wait to go back

Met up with some friends and Reading was central for all of us - I'm really happy we went to this place.
