Nice hotel Got our starters very tasty but the main meal was a disgrace had to send back to kitchen i went for the basic haddock and chips both the fish and chips were brick hard back heat im really diapointed that a chef would allow this out his kitchen .got meal replaced but the meal wasnt the same after that... Staff very helpful.

Bit apprehensive after reading previous reviews. The hotel is in the process of refurbishment. However I have to say the food was outstanding and great value.Room was of a good standard apart from water pressure problems with the shower and sink.All staff were very pleasant.Would we stay again ? YES.

I had booked this Hotel on Booking.com for 12th October for 3 rooms to attend a family wedding nearby. I had emailed the hotel on 12th May asking if it was possible if we could have an early check in for one of the rooms to allow us to get changed. When we arrived at the Hotel we were told to have the room early we would have to pay £10 per hour per room until check in which was 3pm. We arrived at 12 as our wedding started at 1pm. We ended up having to pay £30 as we had to take one of the rooms to allow us to change) I was extremely annoyed i wasn't informed there would be this extra charge as i had no contact from the hotel to advise me of the charge. There were other guests staying at the Hotel who attended the same wedding as us and hadn't been told. VERY POOR SHOW, IF THERE IS A CHARGE FOR THIS GUESTS SHOULD BE MADE AWARE BEFORE CHECKING IN AT THE HOTEL. I WOULD DEFINATELY NOT BOOK AGAIN

The stay we had here was unexpected and due to unforeseen circumstances. The staff on when we arrived Becca and Andrew where Amazing, caring going above and beyond. Becca was attentive to needs and friendly. Would highly recommend this place and cannot thank Becca and Andrew enough there should be more people in the world like you!!

Avoid if you can !! Booked a room here over a year ago for a nearby wedding called and confirmed room a few weeks ago was told yes booking confirmed My husband came to hotel was told no room booked, we then both had to leave wedding to come to hotel again sorry no room .. Told receptionist the room was confirmed a few weeks ago and was very strange she could not find booking as I had recently spoke to someone she said they had migrated to a new system and booking may have got lost !!! Eventually said a room will be available later could not allow us in room as a night shift worker was using room. She said leave luggage and it would be put in room. Returned to hotel after midnight case still lying at reception was given room key. Entered room it was filthy, skirting dirty doors dirty flies in light shade went to bed pillows smelled of musty sweat could not sleep went to reception to complain was given another 2 pillows and a bottle of febreze !!! Told no other rooms available. In fairness to the boy who was on reception said he normally works in bar and don’t think this was the only complaint he had to deal with. Told him room completely unacceptable he did agree and waived charge This ruined our experience of a fantastic day Cooked breakfast cold Not a pleasant experience and will certainly never return!!

Meals excellent. Staff were great apart from young man in Restaurant who was more intent on impressing his friends. They came in behind us yet they had their drinks before us. Had to wave someone to take our order for drinks which normally is taken when you are seated.

Menu not as good as previously,mushroom soup had a strange taste not creamy ,ordered Pornstar martini ,it should have come with a shot of procecco,it didn’t ,I asked server but she said she’s new so didn’t know, we asked again apron paying bill,she didn’t know either and said sorry! I said I saw that other customers hadn’t received it either but it is on description of drink ,a shrug was response

Very dissapointed had wanted to come for ages but left very underwelmed. Went for dinner ordered the lentil soup had to send back as was clearly something wrong .Staff very apologetic but not good enough .Then went through to bar to have cocktails but was told blender not working a very poor show won't hurry back

Came in at 10 and was told chef wasn’t making breakfast anymore. Not a very friendly welcome, very monotonous lady at front of house - not the best start to anyone’s day.

I went to the Fenwick Hotel for the first time on Sunday as the carvery had been recommended to me. We were not disappointed - really tasty food, big portion sizes and nice atmosphere. Will definitely return

Booked into the Fenwick Hotel after looking at other options in the Ayrshire area, very disappointed. Sunday lunch and wasn’t busy. 4 of us were informed it was carvery and limited menu, not informed on website of limited menu. Staters were ok but definitely not value for money, we had prawn cocktail and pâté. All opted for carvery but 1 of the party had limited mobility so had to have another support and get carvery from the other side of restaurant. Meet choices were good albeit very dry. Very limited veg, soggy sprouts and cauli with only herbs dusted on it rather than sauce. Yorkies and roast potatoes were clearly frozen (aunt Bessie’s) with a vet bland thin gravy. Disappointed to say the least when we sampled other restaurants in the vicinity on quality and price.

Got to the hotel after a long day with 4am start to find wrong room reserved for me. Was told Hotel was full despite me booking the correct room weeks before. Got to the room and the door was open and the handle on the floor in many pieces, so you can’t open or close the door. Back to reception to be told they are full and can’t help. Requested the manager and was left waiting for 45 minutes. Back to reception, to a ride attitude saying they are busy and I must just wait. Another 15 minutes, not a word of communication or apology and I decided to leave and stay elsewhere. No manager (apparently called Kali) ever came to see me although she did skulk around me a few times, each time she made eye contact ,she ducked into a room so as not to come talk to me. Pathetic and unprofessional service. Not an ounce of customer care or bother. Never again!

My wife and I booked a Saturday afternoon tea, it was a present from a very good friend. The food was very nice, and included the remains being parcelled up for us to take home. The location, room and general ambience was nice too. However, the service left a little to be desired. We overheard a nearby table being offered additional soup, which I'd probaly have gone for, but we were not offered it. When offered tea or coffee. my wife asked for a specific back coffee, which was duly served, but I didn't receive mine and had to go and inform them of this. When it arrived, the waiter said that only one coffee been requested, very odd! Shortly after this, another black coffee for my wife was delivered, she didn't ask for this, and then another black coffee was offered, which she declined. So it seems that the ordering department needs addressing. Over all, we enjoyed the experience.

We meet here once a Month on Saturday mornings for a Mens Breakfast which is always a delicious Scottish Breakfast. The Staff are very friendly and cant do enough for you. well worth a visit but better to book ahead to ensure a table just in case the hotel is busy with staying guests

We were given a gift voucher by friends and went along for a set meal deal. Menu was pretty limited but ok. Ordered steak pie with mash and requested without veg but with a bit extra mash. Food came with a very small standard portion of mash and no extra but immediately noticed mash was dried up and hard around the edges as if it had been over cooked in a microwave. Raised this with waitress who said sorry and that she would speak to chef. No feedback, explanation or apology received from kitchen or from the manager who delivered coffee. Paid for drinks and left. Won't be back I'm afraid. Not at all good

Were really looking forward to going back to the Fenwick after a long absence. Hadn't realised it changed hands in 2019. The menu seems very similar to previously, so that was reassuring, but unfortunatley the quality of food has dropped quite a bit. The service was trying hard, but nowhere near as attentive and helpful as before. Hope things pick up for them.

Had dinner bed and breakfast here, they had plenty of advice and precautions re covid in place. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Dinner menu was a reduced choice, probably because we had a deal and were not paying normal price, this is an observation not a complaint as what was on the menu was satisfactory for us, we have been here before, several times, and know what they have to offer and feel they missed an opportunity to showcase what they normally offer because anyone going on the same deal as us would not be attracted back, fo dinner on its own, by this menu. Breakfast was excellent and despite my observation we will be back.

Myself and my partner stayed on the overnight stay with dinner bed and breakfast deal. Everything was perfect!!! Staff couldn’t have been more helpful, welcoming and accommodating. Food was delicious, although the restaurant was extremely busy we were well looked after and didn’t wait long for out food. We sat up until the last people left at 11pm chatting to 2 employees Gillian and Catriona who made us feel so welcome and right at home. The perfect get away to relax after lockdown. Looking forward to coming back on Tuesday for 50%

Went here for evening meal to take advantage of the half price bill. We stay local and it’s been a few years since we’ve eaten here. Son ordered Khatsu chicken and I ordered Cajun quorn with rice.When mine arrived I had a thimble sized portion of boiled rice, 4 or 5 green beans, 1 carrot sliced down the middle and 2 tiny quorn fillets covered with some sauce. These fillets were the same as the ones in any supermarket freezer compartment and this place has the utter cheek to charge £11.95....yes £11.95 for this.Sons chicken was inedible, tough and undercooked...awful. He didn’t eat it.I spoke to manager who freely admitted that the quorn fillets are indeed purchased from a supermarket....unbelievable....and she thought the price charged for these was fair!She was quite helpful though and was apparently grateful for my feedback. She knocked the khatsu chicken off the bill. Will never be back....utterly dreadful.

Arrived for a Government led, half price lunch meet, with a friend.. Table booked for 12 midday. Apart from another 3 or 4 occupied tables, restaurant was relatively empty. Right from the get go, staff were far too keen to hurry both of us along.. We had ordered drinks and were just having a catch up natter and were interrupted 4 times by 3 staff members, wanting to take food orders.. Now correct me if wrong, this wasn't some Xmas or New Year set sitting, or one of those Chinese buffets, where you have an hour and a half then you are out!!!! This is what it felt like, it was particularly pressurised and verging on rude. When asked, staff said oh it's because we have lots of people booked in today for half price meals, referring to the Govt's help restaurants out.. Needless to say, come the time of our departure, there were still a considerable amount of spaces..Then onto the menu's. My friend literally had to negotiate some salad combo, because of a complete absence of salad section and in my case, gluten free options.. We both looked at another with a similar reaction.. I left my sandwich on horrible gluten free bread, it was a pathetic effort.. It never fails to amaze me that places like this, are happy to dress themselves up, trying to look the part, then reality of customer care and quality of food, along with a balanced menu, fail miserably..Not a lot more to say, other than I left hungry and pretty disgruntled..

Myself and partner went out for dinner 10/8/20 as part of the government scheme to support local hospitality businesses.There is a facial scanner at the entrance that checks your temperature as well as hand sanitiser. It’s reassuring that the hotel has taken steps to keep everyone safe. The restaurant itself has a one way system in place and the tables are well spaced.The staff were pleasant and polite, the starter, chicken tempura, was nice but portions were quite small.The main course, both chicken dishes were nice, good presentation and good portion sizes.The sweets, sticky toffee pudding and white chocolate cheesecake were nice and presented well.The only real grumble would be that no waiting staff came to clear the desert plates or asked if we enjoyed our meal or offer tea and coffee.We just went up to the desk and asked for the bill up there as there only seemed to be 1 waitress who was busy with other customers.

Had booked a weekend stay here in February 2020. What a weekend it was. The staff were among the friendliest I have ever encountered and the meals were fantastic so much so that we never bothered going out for a meal anywhere else we just dined in the hotel both nights. Our room was very clean and tidy and also very warm. We never had to bother the staff much but when we did they responded very quickly and were very attentive and eager to please. I would recommend this Fenwick Gem to all and cannot understand some of the negative feedback it has attracted here. I for one can't wait to return.

My Mum and had afternoon tea at the Fenwick hotel on Saturday. I am very disappointed by the whole experience, especially as I bought the voucher as a special treat for her! I contacted the hotel personally to raise the issues below and the manager was belligerent and condescending! Firstly arrived at the bar and we needed to wait several minutes for the host to great us (even although there were three of them there when we first arrived). We were swiftly and politely taken through to the room the afternoon tea was being served in.Upon being shown to our table (in a room which there were no other guests in) I had asked if it was possible to have a window seat where I was briskly told that they had already been booked. I feel that when it is completely empty the lack of choice of seat is disheartening.We were brought a cup of coffee and tea and only offered a refill after everything was finished (possibly due to the lady overhearing my mum say it’s surprising that they don’t offer a refill). Normally you would expect to be given a small individual pot of coffee etc to refill yourself or if this isn’t the case attentive service which sees that you are getting low and offers you a refill.No dietary requirements were asked upon our arrival and when the sandwich selection came firstly I was really disappointed with the lack of choice (tuna, beef and ham), this resulted in me only being able to eat 2 fingers of the sandwiches. Not what is expected when you go for afternoon tea! Secondly the cakes did not lead up to the expectations that you set with the graphics you used in your advertisements. It was also not presented like you would have expected on 2 plain plates. I seen other people in the other bar/ restaurant area with the usual presentation- is it because we used a voucher that we were given the substandard option? I feel that the advertisements completely miss sold the whole experience in comparison to the substandard reality!When leaving not one of the staff at the bar had the courtesy to ask how our experience had been. We had both been looking forward to this afternoon tea as a special treat at a stressful time of year and it was an added bonus that it was local for us. This has been a very disappointing afternoon tea and not what you would expect from an establishment which prides itself on its reputation and its 4.5/5 rating on trip advisor. To top it off condescending and rude management when issues were raised; I certainly will no longer be visiting here or recommending to friends and family after this experience.

We stayed here using it as our base as we explored Ayrshire - it is a gem. Lovely welcoming staff, lovely cocktail bar, very comfortable beds, sparkling clean bathroom, free WIFI and the meals were well presented and absolutely delicious. And it did not cost a fortune! The secret is out though, as we tried to get a room for a couple of nights on our way back from exploring the highlands but they were booked solid so you’ll need to book well in advance to secure a room. If we ever come back to this part of the world we’ll be staying at the Fenwick Hotel.

Friendly staff, good service and excellent food. Really enjoyed our visit for my mother’s 80th birthday meal. Steak’s cooked exactly to order, Cajun chicken, Roast chicken haggis fritters and Haddock all very good. Highly recommended for a good meal

Dropped in on a Saturday afternoon about 4.45pm just before the 2 courses for £10.50 stopped. My wife and I had a starter and main course and had no complaints..

I have been to Fenwick many tims for Afternoon Tea and have enjoyed it, however i went with my daughter on Friday 02.08.19 and our tea was cold by the time our sandwiches arrived I had to ask for a pot of hot water so i could put it into teapot to try and heat the tea up. One of the finger sandwiches had no bread on the base I don't know what happened to it. We had 3 pieces of what looked like brownie cake it was ok but the rest was tarts. We had 3 small strawberry tarts, 3 small tarts with cream and few slices of BLACK banana on top and 3 small tarts that looked as if it could be apricot with crumble topping. All of these were not very appetising looking and we did not touch any of them. What if you don't like tarts and we had 9!! Then we had a fruit scone. We were very confused as to why there was 3 each of the different tarts and the brownie cakes when the afternoon tea was for 3. It really looked like they didn't have anything for afternoon tea and had just filled all these tarts with scraps left in kitchen. I can say it is certainly the worst afternoon tea we have ever had. I feel i also need to mention that when we arrived the place was stinking of fish which did not smell very fresh. We have never smelt this before at the Fenwick. All round our experience on Friday was not a pleasant one. Very very disappointing compared to previous experiences but we hadn't been for a while and it will certainly be a while before we chose to go back and that is if we do.

Went to this hotel for an overnight stay.Our allocated room was a care room with a cracked and blocked sink and a care shower wet room ( not asked for! ).In addition to this there were NO drawers in this room and a lovely view of an old builders bag out the window. The bed was one of the best we have slept in.Please don`t get the idea we did not enjoy our stay because the evening meal was quite simply excellent as was the fast attentive service.The breakfast ...ah the breakfast - for us so poor as to be an apology .We are not eaters of cooked breakfast and the promised fruit, cheeses , cold meat and croissants were no where to be seen.We would perhaps use this hotel again because with a little more attention this could have and really should have been a 5 star review !

I frequently eat here during lunch times with my family. There is a 2 course menu for £10 which offers great value. The food is always good and great value for money. The staff are lovely and service is always quick. This is one of my go to places to eat as it’s always great.

Went today Saturday 20/04/2019 on way home from Glasgow wish I hadn't bothered. Cauliflower and broccoli soup so thin and runny it was tasteless , wife had the battered cauliflower they were solid with a disgusting sauce. I ordered the steak burger wot I got was a tiny burger on a toasted frozen bap burger tasteless, oioins rings were so over battered could not eat them as batter wasn't cooked all the way through, chips worst I,ve ever had left them can't remember last time I left chips , wife had fish and chips two bits of thin over battered fish and chips again more batter than fish . I see ty do a cheap £10 2 course deal but I didn't know that before I went in I,d rather pay more more get a decent meal than this rubbish . Must be one of the worst in Ayrshire as I,ve been to so many better even at the same price.

Lovely hotel, rooms are spotless (although window sills and door handles in the room could do with a clean). Bed is very comfy and huge. Bathroom is modern with soap and shampoo provided, it also has a hairdryer, breakfast is very good, choice of full Scottish or continental breakfast. Afternoon tea (part of our deal) was very good, but sandwiches were a bit poor (1 choice each) picked up the bread and it fell apart. Cakes were also poor. The scones were great with jam and cream and bubbly was spot on. Overall we had a great time away

Felt like we were putting them out as a walk in coustomer. Shown to seats not asked for drinks. Took food orders and still not asked for drinks. Two trips to the carvery due to not wanting t leave a child at the table alone ment eating on my own due to the length of wait for the cheif to come out and cut meat. Food was mediocre. My daughter asked why the Yorkshire puddings were hard, there was no veg left only mash and solid roast potatoes. Asked for the bill and waited 20+ min for them t come back to take my card before I left and paid at the door. Service was brought to us by a young man named Adam... if u would call it service. Would not recommend. I have to return to attend my friends wedding later in the year... I am not looking forward to it.

this is a very nice hotel, beautiful entrance. We had a coffee in the bar/lounge area and it was very busy. We have since returned several times and the staff are very pleasant

We dropped in here for lunch after visiting Whitelee Windfarm. It was our first time here and would recommend it. They do a 2 course lunch for just under £10, we couldn’t fault anything. The food and drinks were served promptly. The quality was good and the portions ample. Perhaps they could be a little more inventive with their hot salmon and prawn salad. Plenty prawns and salmon but maybe a bit too much basic salad stuffs, maybe some avocado?

The Fenwick is advertising a super afternoon tea however not suitable for gluten free. We did provide notice there was a gluten free member of the party and there was special sandwiches made however the cakes were extremely poor. A cookie which tasted past it's best and clearly from a packet and not homemade, two plain digestive one chocolate digestive and a couple of rotten brownies. This is very poor when for other people in the party there was loads on off from tray bakes, tarts, scones and cupcakes they clearly did not prepare or care for others in the party. The staff were lovely but they could not hide the poor experience for a coeliac person. Such a disappointment as it is great for other meals.

My boyfriend surprised me with a wee dinner out on my birthday and I was really excited when I heard we were heading here.

Had a really lovely meal tonight with one reservation. I chose the carvery option while my husband chose steak pie. I was told to wait until the steak pie came to go up for the carvery. The steak pie came and although the place was not busy I had to queue behind a family of 4 who seemed to take an age at the meat then another lady, then at my turn there were no plates! The young lady carving the meats was very apologetic but still no plates appeared and she eventually went off and came back with one extremely hot plate for my meal which even though she gave me two bundles of napkins to hold it with was so hot I thought I was going to drop it on the way back to my table where my husband was half way through his meal. The food, especially the roast beef was excellent (avoid the Yorkshires - you could sole your shoes with them) but it would be nice to eat together. Surely not hard to keep the carvery area supplied with plates!

My starter was Stornoway black pudding with a poached egg but was mainly salad with a thin slice of pudding, although egg was properly cooked. Mains were small serving and poor. Lamb was undercooked and fatty, veg undercooked and dauphinoise potato mushy. Other diners had similar experience. Place is looking tired and service no more than adequate.

My husband and I popped in, lovely restaurant, nice clean ,friendly staff, chilled not stuffy everyone was in casual wear, the food came out hot, tasty, my hake with cauliflower was cooked to perfection flavoursome, and filling. Prices were very good, Will be back

Came here for the first time in a while and was a bit disappointed. Don’t have the fish and chips, the menu said it was haddock but it just tasted bland as cardboard, tartar sauce didn’t add anything either, I felt it tasted like a cream cheese rather than the tartness you would expect. I couldn’t finish it and have some indigestion now a few hours later.

We had dinner with two friends from Derby who were staying overnight and we live quite close. Staff all very attentive without being overbearing, just right. Menu had a good choice with special's also. Food came well presented and within a reasonable time.

We were a table of 7, with ages between 94 and 30, so a lot to contend with. The service, food and general experience was simply sensational. There was only one complaint, one dish served on a cold plate, if we go back we will mention this, but only in passing. Prices are about what you would expect and we dined on a Sunday, the place was absolutely full, with a 2 hour return on the table, fair enough as we ate at 5pm. OK so it is not on the radar for a lot of people but if you are prepared to head out south of Glasgow or north from Kilmarnock, this is a great spot for food.

Visited what used to be a favourite of ours with friends for Friday dinner. . . Food was ok, but service and staff were deplorable. Waitresses obviously not trained and food was passed over people instead of the waitress moving round. Asked if we required anything else the waitress was moving away as we were talking and had to call her back twice to complete what we wanted. Main course plates were eventually taken away and we asked to see desert menu. At least 20 minutes later I had to call a waitress over and again request the desert menu, when she eventually brought them they were practically thrown at us she turned and walked away telling us what the cheesecake of the day was. None of us at the table could hear what she said and had to call another waitress to ask. After another long wait someone came to see what we wanted, by this time we had had enough and decided not to have desert. Another long wait to get the bill, and also to pay. We left the hotel after 3 hours having only had 1 course! Having eaten all over the country recently can honestly say this is the worst service I had experienced anywhere. Surly unfriendly rude stafff, won’t be back!

A favourite Sunday lunch spot for us, the carvery is great value and good quality. The a la carte menu is extensive but most people go for the carvery. My wife was unhappy with the portion she received last time with slices of beef resembling bacon rashers but mine were ok. They need to keep on top of the game if they are to compete with recently opened The Lairds Table.

Great hotel just off the motorway, rooms are a good size, and spotless. Beds are very comfortable and huge. Breakfast has a good selection of eats.

Dropped into the Fenwick Hotel recently during a trip to Scotland, had not had chance to make a booking but that was no problem.Staff are very friendly and welcoming,service was excellent and overall standard of the food we had was top class

Booked the function suit at the Fenwick Hotel for a surprise birthday party. Excellent. Highly recommend. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Nothing was a problem.

I stayed here with 3 friends the night before a wedding. The interior of the reception, restaurant and bar area is very nice. Our room was basic and lacked any wow factor. Very basic and not reflective of other areas of the hotel. Where I was most disappointed was at breakfast. Firstly, during the 45 mins I was in the restaurant there was only 1 employee serving all the guests. This lead to problems. She said to help yourself to the buffet. I decided to have some cereal and juice first. The milk was a room temperature, as was the orange juice. Why was it not sitting in ice or at least replaced every half hour. By the time I finished and got up to the buffet, all that was left was freezing cold scrambled egg (was not kept under the heat lamp), mushrooms, links and bacon. The beans, slice, black pudding and tattie scone were all finished. Our eggs were cooked separately and didn't arrive until well after we had all finished. I had to tell her that half the buffet was empty. She didn't seem pleased to hear that but after about 15 mins it was refilled- just in time for breakfast finishing. Additionally, the toast we received was cold and did not have the heat to melt the butter. My tea was cold too. Overall a very disappointing breakfast. They charge non residents £9 for this!

Family visit for a set menu lunch. Absolutely first class service and food at an extremely reasonable price. Cannot fault this pace. Delightful experience. will be back!

Visited Fenwick hotel for lunch as I heard the salmon crepes were to die for. Was tempted to order pakora for starters as I smelt another diners and they did not disappoint- absolutely gorgeous. The salmon crepe did not disappoint either. Surrounding and service were top notch too. Little gem - I will def be back and have highly recommended to family and friends

Visited en route to a golfing holiday in Perthshire. The hotel has recently undergone a very good refurbishment. The rooms are modern well equipped with tea/coffee making equipment etc. The room we had had a well lit modern bathroom with a good shower. The food in the hotel was very good and reasonably priced. I had the haggis starter that was excellent followed by an equally good beef pasta dish. The bar was reasonably priced and staff very helpful and pleasant. It is a bit out of the way with shops and pubs a good 20-30 mins walk away. All in all however I thought it was very good and would give it a recommend.

My elderly Mum is 80 in July so we asked her how she would like to celebrate it and she decided she would like to go for a family meal to Fenwick Hotel. On enquiry we were told that to have a family celebration separate from the main restaurant would incur a £50 fee. I’m sorry but I find this totally unacceptable as a party of 16 people eating and drinking in these premises are expected to pay £50 fee on top of the overall bill.

The room was spacious however it was missing drawers and somewhere to put toiletries in the bathroom. The room was very hot and the shower only worked by turning on a switch in the hall that you realise once you are stood in the shower.

Great food, excellent serviceDuring our stay here in January 2018 we had dinner at the hotel and it could not have been nicer, the staff are very accomodating and pleasant. We would eat here again for sure.

This was a fabulous afternoon tea,there was plenty of choice and cakes and scones were lovely.You must give it a try you won't be disappointed.

An excellent venue for lunch or evening meal. I was so impressed I bought over £200 vouchers to give to friends as gifts. I have now been several time and would recommend it to one all,

We had a large table at the rear of the lovely restaurant. The staff were very attentive and service excellent. The food was delicious and with a large party it's sometimes hard to please everyone but we all thought it was fabulous. Already planning a family meal there in a week's time. Can't wait.

This restaurant caters for groups and party nights extremely well and this party was no exception! They have very accommodating management, well-trained staff and the food is always very good.

We stopped in here on the way back from Glasgow. They were fully booked but said could wait for a table in the bar area. We didn’t even wait 10 minutes. We went for the carvery & both enjoyed it. The deserts however were amazing. Just what we needed on a cold day. Service was quick. Price was more than reasonable. Will definitely be back.

Stayed here for 1 night when working in the area. A really nice hotel that I have driven past numerous times and never thought about until now. Large spacious rooms. Really nice restaurant and menu and the food at both dinner time and breakfast was of a really high quality. The wifi was also really fast. Well stay here again if working in the area.

We have recently moved across the road from the hotel and had only ever visited the hotel many years ago and was not that keen on visiting when I moved, so glad I did. What a gem of a place, great little bar area for food as well as a stunning restaurant with really helpful and pleasant staff. Great for a quiet night in the bar with your friends, really good buzz. Totally refurbed to a very good standard. Highly recommend you give the Fenwick a go, you will not be disappointed. Looking forward to spending more happy nights here with the added bonus of not needing a taxi

Initially I wasn't sure as the Hotel exterior is not much to shout about, however the interior is beautifully done, very tasteful and the food is not only delicious, it is amazing value.

Good food and great service the food was served quickly and was very warm the staff very friendly and helpful.

My wife and I were given a lovely ground floor room, and we were booked in for the New Year’s Eve party.

We were here on 15 th December for our works Christnas night out. Brilliant on all counts but especially the meal which was absolutely first class. Far above what you would expect at a large function. Tasty, plentiful and really just great, very impressed.

Stopped here for a breakfast pit stop just after Christmas. The place was quiet and it wasn’t initially clear if they served food at that time.

Just visited for our eagerly awaited family Christmas Day Dinner, disappointed doesn't even cover it just shocking from start to the finish. We had booked in September after visiting several times for Sunday lunch which always delivered to a high standard, unfortunately this was not the case today as the service was appalling the food was a disgrace. We had to wait 30 minutes for a drinks order the table was never cleared in fact the empty drink glasses from our 1st order were still on the table when we left. The list goes on and on and we just wanted the management to know how disappointed we feel, Christmas day wasted!
