Feng Shui Inn in City of London, Westminster

We went as a group of 5 and started of with the satay chicken skewers and crispy pork belly. The pork belly was incredible. We also had the duck and pancakes as well as an assortment of dumplings. We had a great experience and the servers were extremely efficient and the food came really quick! Highly recommend! We spent around £50 per person including two bottles of wine and all the food above.

If you are hesitant about going to this restaurant, one piece of advice: turn around! The dishes are excessively expensive, for very little quantity and more than limited taste interest. Rice and miso soup are not included with your dishes. The service is fast but you are quickly made to understand that you have to leave. We were placed in a windowless cellar with the entire Ed Sheran album on repeat, with the sound turned up loud (although I love Ed Sheran I came out with a headache). As a fan of this type of restaurant, I am extremely disappointed. Sorry.

All the restaurants in Chinatown are much of a muchness really, once you've been in one you've been in them all - or so I thought. Popped in here as we liked the look of it and the waitress/greeter standing on the street next to the menu board was pleasant to us so we thought we'd give it a try. Decor is a bit dated looking but better than a lot of Chinese restaurants in the area, it felt warm and cosy and relaxing. Went for several starters rather than mains, the salt and pepper spare ribs and chicken wings were amazing with batter that had the crispiness absolutely perfect. Also had a couple of the dim sum platters and they were amazing too. Service was very quick we didn't need to wait very long for the food to arrive. All the waiting staff were friendly and courteous - I've been in a few restaurants in Gerrard Street where I have felt I was being "encouraged" to pay up and leave but not here. Overall a lovely meal I would definitely come again to try something else on the menu.

The worst chiness restaurent. Tourist trap. They charge you 8% service charge, then they ask you to pay before you eat, and they request another 20% service charge on top. It's very cheeky, and the food is terrible. Avoid avoid.

Had dinner here for 3 adults and 3 children, great size portions, and food was very tasty. All our bellts were full on exiting the restaurant. The staff were welcoming and polite. Would definitely recommend trying. Spent £170 in total

TOURIST TRAP! scandalous the rice is not included in the dishes at almost 20 pounds each dish, the bowl of rice in addition 8 pounds I ordered 1 glass of plum wine I received 2 cm of wine literally, the spring rolls did not even have sauce..we should have read the reviews before going home, the dishes themselves were not bad but not worth it

Wir haben schon oft in chinesischen Restaurants gegessen, aber noch nie so schlecht wie in diesem. 6 Personen, 3 unterschiedliche Menue und nur 2 waren befriedigend. Die anderen 4 gingen nach max. 1/4 Probieressens, wieder zurück. Es sollte, knusprige Ente mit Reis, süß-sauer sein. Bekommen haben wir lapprige Ente und Soße, überschwemmt mit Ingwer, so dass es einem den Magen verdrehte. Ich ließ den Manager kommen und sagte ihm, dass wir noch nie so beschissen gegessen haben. Wir zahlen das Essen, aber werden niemals wieder kommen. Er gab uns zwar 50% Nachlass auf die 4 Menues, aber das machte es ja auch nicht besser. Keinerlei Empfehlung möglich!!!

My daughter and I love King prawns Chung fun, we have been to many restaurants trying this dim sum dish. This restaurant Chung fun was very good nice texture, great tasting prawns. The sauce was excellent and the chilli oil is very tasty. We also had garlic and chili aubergine, it is the best one we’ve had so far, again having tried many. Great service too, staff were attentive, friendly. We had an amazing experience dining here.

like everyone else has written here, this place SUCKS BIG TIME. they offer dim sum but don’t have an ordering sheet where one can fill in what they want. nothing remarkable and way to pricey for what you get. ZERO STARS.

Disguisting Slop at an extreme Price. My friend ordered chili shredded beef, it contained close to no Meat. It tasted like Cheetos. For 17 Pounds a Meal i expect more than ~100grams of Food. We had ordered dumplings and such wide noodles. The food was delicious but the atmosphere was not inviting. We sat right in front of the stairs and felt disturbed. I paid €51.52 for the food in the picture plus two cola drinks. Unfortunately, we also had difficulties communicating with the waiter because he didn't understand us straight away.

Arriving with our suitcases at the metro exit, we were placed on a large table at the back of the room, we had enough space to sit down and store our belongings. The service is fast and efficient, our menus arrived immediately, making one wonder if the dishes are not prepared in advance and simply reheated... but even with the flow it doesn't shock me. It must be said that the kitchen is open at all hours so it is quite practical. It works great if you're hungry and in a hurry. It's still quite good, the flavors are there but don't expect great cuisine.

Firstly, it's not the ideal place to dine in Chinatown, London. The food is very expensive, and the taste does not meet expectations considering we paid £55 that included a mixed fried rice, a dumpling soup, and the herbal tea. Additionally, the portion size is barely sufficient for one person. I was so disappointed that I couldn't even take a picture of the dish. While the service was friendly, I would not recommend visiting this place to anyone.

Honestly one of the best Chinese restaurants. I cannot understand how it has such a low rating. Probably the friendliest staff which combined with excellent food and a busy/cosy atmosphere gives you everything you need when you want to indulge in some classic Chinese dishes. Went back 3 days in a row on our last trip and twice this time round and every time it is fantastic. We have no good Chinese food where we live so this place gives us our yearly shot of Chinese until the next visit 😊

In the middle of Chinatown, a very nice place. Service was very good, the food was very tasty. We took noodles in soup, shrimp dumplings, vietnamese spring roll 😋

*TOURIST TRAP DO NOT COME HERE* My family and I came to Feng Shui Inn on Christmas Day given it was one of the few restaurants that were open. The menu at the entrance looked good so we chose to queue for this restaurant. However, we received the Christmas menu after being seated in a room, which was different from their ordinary menu including the items and PRICE. We were not informed about a different menu when we were taken into the restaurant. Each dim sum item costs 13£ and mains cost at least 25£. The flavour of each dish was alright but absolutely not worth the price. The worst of all was the portion was 1/3 of what normal portion size of a Chinese restaurant. As we found the menu too pricey, we ordered 3 mains for 8 people and decided not to order more as the waitress pressured us. We asked for tea refill after finishing the food, the waitress ignored us and we had to shout to get attention and got yelled back by the waitress shouting that she heard us. Then the tea came back half filled and cold. This is where we drew the line and left the restaurant. We ended up paying £113.9 for 3 mains, 8 ppl’s tea and horrible customer service. This was the most unsatisfactory meal in our celebrations of Christmas. So please avoid this restaurant given the lack of transparency and honesty and the poor attitude of staff. Good thing was we found another restaurant in the area that was well worth the price after this trap and our Christmas meal was saved!!

If you're going to pay 16£ for bok choy one would expect it to be top of the pops. Absolutely shocking food at a shocking price. Even if it was cheap, it would still be shocking. Nice staff though.

Seaweed seafood rolls are my favorite food. High quality as always. The shrimp dumplings are thin and large.

We ordered something different from the menu. When we asked about the food when we ordered, the waiter seemed very annoyed and as if it was a stupid question. The waiters also came quite quickly and wanted us to order and we had to say several times that we were not ready. We ordered, among other things, four dumplings for £9.80 and when we had to pay they had taken £11.80 for them because they steamed the dumplings, which they did not point out that it would be more in price (just a small note). When we got the food none of it had any taste. Our colas tasted the most. All in all, not a super experience, neither food nor service, but cozy decor and atmosphere in the restaurant itself

We had a delicious meal here. A good kitchen with dedicated staff. There was a small queue (which says something). We were received professionally and within a few minutes we were seated at the table. The service was fast, correct and friendly. She had it under control. The food was of good quality and came to the table fairly quickly considering how busy it was. Compliments and recommended to everyone!

Waiter didn't show bill, which already had a 12.5% service charge on, then asked me for a tip, so I ended up tipping 22.5% on already insanely expensive food. They refunded the next day when I realised they'd charged me £60 for what should realistically have been a £30 meal. Bit of a rip off.

Love the food here. The atmosphere isn't the best but the service is friendly and fast. The kung bo prawns, the aubergine and the beef are excellent choices. Crispy duck can be a bit dry though.

Stay away! Another rip off in Chinatown. As other review says, they make the 12.5% service charge compulsory and if you try to dispute it they are ready with a print screen of legal extract proving they are right. No service whatsoever, the tiniest portion you can think of for very basic food quality. There are other great options around the corner, like Beijing Dumpling. Stay away from this tourist trap run by an arrogant manager.

Absolutely terrible experience, I went in with two of my friends yesterday who came to visit London from India and they asked us to leave, after seating us, since we didn’t order for £15 per person. My friend who was a girl was sick and didn’t want to eat at that time. They just said we had to leave. This is my first and worst experience in the entire UK. We just went in to the next restaurant who very accommodative. Horrible experience with rude waiters.

The food tasted burned and the waitress rushed us the whole time by asking immediately after we finished a drink if we are ready with this. We really regretted eating there.

The food was very average. After we had started placing our order the waitress told us that we need to order for food worth at least 15 pounds per person. We weren't that hungry and if it was mentioned to us before we probably wouldn't have picked this restaurant. However we ordered extra food to avoid any drama but then they also charged us extra for the service charge which I politely told them that we would only pay part of the service charge. To my surprise, the waitress said that it's mandatory for us to pay service charge. I'm pretty sure it's illegal to not give the customer an option. I'm generally happy to pay a service charge but not when I'm told to order extra food. The whole experience was unpleasant.

Restaurant with 2 floors, one in the basement. Cozy atmosphere. Karaoke music is playing on the TV in the background. The food is delicious and is delivered incredibly quickly along with the drinks. Tight but still acceptable prices for mainland Europeans.

Food was fast and tasted okay, but not worth the price paid. £15 for 6 (small) chicken balls is insane. Definitely had tastier food for less at other Chinese restaurants. The staff were helpful and quick to serve/take payment however.

Overpriced, small amount of bad replica of Chinese food. Nonpolite waiter was impatient and you first pay then get the food. Waiter bring us handwritten bill. When we asked for a real reciept because our was wierdly high we sam that they charged us £5.3 for a service fee which was not written anywhere before. All together, Chinatown is a big dissapointment!

Tasty chow mein. A hefty surcharge and you’ll also be pressured (verbally, by the staff) to leave a tip on top of that, so not exactly an economical lunch option.

This place deserves 0 stars, the food was horrible, very expensive, fried food was so bad that it could not be chewed. I ordered chilli fried chicken. There were more chillies than chicken on the plate. The were recommended by the restaurant staff to not eat and when tried to eat them, it felt like I had red plastic chillies in my mouth. The chicken was so hard and couldn't be chewed. Told the staff about it and they said that it is what it is. Overall very bad experience with all the dishes and the staff itself!

I guess they thought l’m a tourist but still shouldn’t charged 15% as they are not a posh restaurant. They charged same price as Nobu. I would not go there again.

The food is very good. Order the shredded duck, fried rice, lemon chicken, and red meat. Add some spring rolls because they are delicious and finish with some juicy pork dumolings. One of the best in London's Chinatown.

I travel to London from the U.S. almost every year and I eat out a lot. This is the best Chinese restaurant in London! Excellent food and service. Their dim sum are delicious and dishes like Braised Pork and Preserved Vegetable (梅菜扣肉）and Sticky Rice Stuffed Crab (糯米飯釀蟹) are out of this world.

This place is a typical Chinese restaurant with good food that it won’t disappoint you. It has an external place to eat and inside too. This time we wanted to eat outside, but the server told us it was too late and that we needed to seat inside the restaurant. I guess they were about to close. It was around 10:00 pm the time we got there. The place was very busy, but they served our food fast and everything was delicious. The atmosphere is very typical for a Chinese restaurant where you seat, eat and go. I ordered some Sweet and Sour Prawns, fried rice and spring rolls and I really loved everything. It was a nice place in a very tourist area with a lot of things to see and do around.

This was the worst food I’ve eaten in years and extremely over priced. The restaurant was fairly full and while there more people came in. The majority were tourists. When seated which was quite fast we spent ages looking at the menu as neither of us could work out what was going on with the prices as we couldn’t believe a bowl of Pak Choi was £13.80, cabbage £13.80 . The Chinese supermarket across the road sells 6 to 8 Pak Choi for £3.25. We shared a starter of 3 crispy duck rolls and a dish of soya sauce, £8.80. The duck rolls had an odd, unpleasant taste and the soya sauce wasn’t very nice. For a main I had stir fried vegetable noodles ( chow mien), £11.80. It was very oily with approximately 4 mangetout, 4 slices of carrot, a few limp cabbage or lettuce leaf ends all over cooked. The only thing in abundance were the noodles and beansprouts. The cost of the veg on the plate can’t have been more than 30 pence. Over cooked, over priced and not nice. I left most of the noodles and beansprouts. It was boring and dull. When I eat out I like to eat something that is better and more tasty than my cooking, it wasn't. It was dreadful. My friend had Kirin roast duck with pineapple, £18.80 and a bowl of plain boiled rice, £5.80. She hardly ate any of it and asked for a doggie bag to take the remainder home which she never ate, it went in the bin. She said it was horrible. The waiter asked me if I wanted to take mine home I declined as I knew it would go straight in the bin. Oddly enough he didn’t ask us if we enjoyed the meal! The service was ok but not worth the service charge of 12.5%. The restaurant was grubby, it was dimly lit yet bright outside and you didn't want to look to closely at anything as it looked dirty. We will never go here again.

Great meal, great value set menu! We had no clue where to go, and found this place that did a great set menu for good value, including duck pancakes an absolute favourite! We loved all the food and the atmosphere and service was great. Am making a point of reviewing because I want to remember it for the future. Thank you we will be back!

Dined here today. Good food. We ordered for the pork dim sum, hot & Sour soup, salt and pepper shrimp, curry chicken, egg fried rice and noodles. Highlight was the salt and pepper shrimp. The soup was very good. Egg fried rice was very dry, overcooked and average in taste. Curry chicken was good. The serving lady was very rude and arrogant. Please read the fine print, they charge 12.5% service charge which I felt was not worth considering the level of service.

Lots of options to choose from even for veg people. I can recommend spring rolls, bao and chowmein. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available.

Stopped here on an early Friday evening and secured a table with ease and considering start of the bank holiday was a surprise. Server was friendly and placed our order. The food was out within 10 minutes which was a surprise. We’d ordered chilli chicken and when it arrived I can honestly say I was gobsmacked. It looked like someone had opened and forgot to stop pouring the dried chillies as the chicken could barely be seen! The prawn kung bo though was really tasty. Portion size for the price seemed a little on the smaller size. Was it authentic? Probably not and certainly wasn’t the worst food I’ve eaten but think there are better restaurants in Chinatown.
