Friendly staff, very fresh food served super fast. I came here three times over the course of a week

This place deserves 0 stars, the food was horrible, very expensive, fried food was so bad that it could not be chewed. I ordered chilli fried chicken. There were more chillies than chicken on the plate. The were recommended by the restaurant staff to not eat and when tried to eat them, it felt like I had red plastic chillies in my mouth. The chicken was so hard and couldn't be chewed. Told the staff about it and they said that it is what it is. Overall very bad experience with all the dishes and the staff itself!

Tasty chow mein. A hefty surcharge and you’ll also be pressured (verbally, by the staff) to leave a tip on top of that, so not exactly an economical lunch option.

Not so good as before as portion of food smaller, also they charged me 15% service charge. I have been there a few times, but never charge so much. I guess they thought l’m a tourist but still shouldn’t charged 15% as they are not a posh restaurant. They charged same price as Nobu. I would not go there again.

The food is very good. Order the shredded duck, fried rice, lemon chicken, and red meat. Add some spring rolls because they are delicious and finish with some juicy pork dumolings. One of the best in London's Chinatown.

We stopped here by chance and were absolutely thrilled. We had super nice service staff, excellent food and a great ambience. We'll definitely be back!

Dreadful food. We shared a starter of 3 crispy duck rolls and a dish of Soya sauce, £8.80 between us. The crispy duck rolls had an odd, unpleasant taste and the Soya sauce wasn’t very nice. For a main I had stir fried vegetable noodles ( chow mien), £11.80. It was very oily with approximately 4 mange tout, 4 slices of carrot, a few limp cabbage or maybe lettuce leaves ends all over cooked. The only thing in abundance apart from the noodles were the beansprouts. The cost of the veg on the plate can’t have been more than 30 pence. Over cooked, over priced and not nice. I left most of the noodles and beansprouts. It was boring and dull. When I eat out I like to eat something that is better and more tasty than my cooking. I make much better. It was dreadful. My friend had Kirin roast duck with pineapple, £18.80 and a bowl of plain boiled rice, £5.80. She hardly ate any of it and asked for a doggie bag to take the remainder home which she never ate, it went in the bin. She said it was horrible. The waiter asked me if I wanted to take mine home I declined as I knew it would go straight in the bin. Oddly enough he didn’t ask us if we enjoyed the meal! The service was ok but not worth the service charge of 12.5%. The restaurant was grubby, it was dimly lit yet bright outside and you didn't want to look to closely at anything as it looked dirty. We will never go here again.

I travel to London from the U.S. almost every year and I eat out a lot. This is the best Chinese restaurant in London! Excellent food and service. Their dim sum are delicious and dishes like Braised Pork and Preserved Vegetable (梅菜扣肉）and Sticky Rice Stuffed Crab (糯米飯釀蟹) are out of this world.

This place is a typical Chinese restaurant with good food that it won’t disappoint you. It has an external place to eat and inside too. This time we wanted to eat outside, but the server told us it was too late and that we needed to seat inside the restaurant. I guess they were about to close. It was around 10:00 pm the time we got there. The place was very busy, but they served our food fast and everything was delicious. The atmosphere is very typical for a Chinese restaurant where you seat, eat and go. I ordered some Sweet and Sour Prawns, fried rice and spring rolls and I really loved everything. It was a nice place in a very tourist area with a lot of things to see and do around.

This was the worst food I’ve eaten in years and extremely over priced. The restaurant was fairly full and while there more people came in. The majority were tourists. When seated which was quite fast we spent ages looking at the menu as neither of us could work out what was going on with the prices as we couldn’t believe a bowl of Pak Choi was £13.80, cabbage £13.80 . Great meal, great value set menu! We had no clue where to go, and found this place that did a great set menu for good value, including duck pancakes an absolute favourite! We loved all the food and the atmosphere and service was great. Am making a point of reviewing because I want to remember it for the future. Thank you we will be back!

Dined here today. Good food. We ordered for the pork dim sum, hot & Sour soup, salt and pepper shrimp, curry chicken, egg fried rice and noodles. Highlight was the salt and pepper shrimp. The soup was very good. Egg fried rice was very dry, overcooked and average in taste. Curry chicken was good. The serving lady was very rude and arrogant. Please read the fine print, they charge 12.5% service charge which I felt was not worth considering the level of service.

Lots of options to choose from even for veg people. I can recommend spring rolls, bao and chowmein. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available.

Stopped here on an early Friday evening and secured a table with ease and considering start of the bank holiday was a surprise. Server was friendly and placed our order. The food was out within 10 minutes which was a surprise. We’d ordered chilli chicken and when it arrived I can honestly say I was gobsmacked. It looked like someone had opened and forgot to stop pouring the dried chillies as the chicken could barely be seen! The prawn kung bo though was really tasty. Portion size for the price seemed a little on the smaller size. Was it authentic? Probably not and certainly wasn’t the worst food I’ve eaten but think there are better restaurants in Chinatown.

This is my second time visiting this Cantonese and Sze Chuan cuisine. The eggplant claypot and roast duck are fabulous.

Ordered roasted duck and crispy pork with rice. Roasted duck and crispy pork meat were full of fat (at least 80%). Did not enjoy my expensive meal with fat. The bill was £56 and ended up with 10% tip. They should remove their tip option from paying contact less machine. The minimum tip was 10% which I had no choice to pay less tip. Never visit the restaurant again.

The waiter was rude and the food was not good for the price

we came here around 7 pm today and the waitress was so rude and also they have a minimum spending rule £10 per person. Even if you are 3 person all of you need to order, so i don’t recommend this restaurant for you. Thanks!

I was dubious as the reviews here aren’t great but it was very busy so I wondered how bad it could really be and I was going to be expensing the meal so decided to risk it. I’m glad I did. The service was prompt and the food came out quickly. It was fresh, hot and so tasty. It’s one of the best Chinese meals I’ve had in a long time. The service was great and well worth the charge that the menu stated. I’ll be back.

I don't like to write posts like this. Especially at somewhere that I consider the only place in China town with good food. I tried to come in today just for a quick lunch like I did a few weeks ago. But sadly, for whatever reason, I was denied entry. By a lady outside with a black jacket. She was saying it was bookings only. Even though there were multiple tables outside with nobody in them, Only a few tables outside included people. I then kindly asked the lady if I could quickly book on my laptop. She still said no, which I still found not right. If the place inside and outside were full and all outside tables were reserved, Then the restaurant was doing nothing wrong, but sadly, that wasn't the case. I am a male who likes to enjoy his own company while eating and minding his own business. Which was my main aim at the restaurant. In fact, if the food was as delicious as it was on my last visit, I would have thanked the staff member who served me. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case, baring in mind. I have told a variety of people that the food here is good and they should try it out. I am just disappointed that this restaurant either seems to have a problem with solo diners or saw me and looked at me as though I didn't look good for the restaurant. Keep in mind that I have a medical condition. Like I mentioned above, I was just after the nice food and good service, and I would have paid. I also asked if I could get a takeout, but sadly, they seem to have had an issue with that as well.

First time. Overall very good experience. The menu was elaborate with 100s of choices. As I observe a GF diet, they looked exceptionally well after me. They started by explaining that only one, yes one option, one dish on the menu was good for me. The Singapore rice noodle. Minutes later, the manager came and offered a seafood mixture with lettuce wrap for starters that it was custom-made. My husband ordered the wings and the seaweed dishes for starters and the sizzling beef for main. Everything was delicious. Very good, overall, not cheap though.

Over priced and no flavour. £5.50 for water which we didn't know about until the bill came! Charged £5 for a can of coke! Again didn't know until the bill came, didn't think to ask how much the can of coke was when ordered as never thought would be that much! Walk around the corner can get the same can of coke for £1.30! £10 service charge. Meat was dry and crunchy. Slow service. Discussed issue with manager who became argumentative and refused to take any money of the bill.

We've been tricked with hidden service charge at the bill first, then forced to pay that service charge on top of an already overpriced dinner. The temper and the attitude from the manager was intolerably rude in front of our young children.

Steer clear unless you're looking for cold, dry noodles, dry chunks of pork in a drizzle of sweet and sour sauce and small portions of rice. The waiters were unfriendly, the room was cramped and overcrowded (we felt we were placed in the back room where they kept cutlery, drinks etc.) and the bill was disproportionately high due to "hidden prices". They also stand behind your back and follow what you give in tips. Definitely our worst memory from London and a total waste of money. Is not recommended!

Highly recommend the chilli fish! We went for pre-theater dinner. Quick service too! It was very busy as well. Firm favourite - lots of options in Chinatown but this remains the best.

I came here in order to enjoy a nice dinner. Instead, I was surrounded by rowdy, loud, drunk people from the midlands who sat in big tables in front and to the side of me. Their chairs were blocking my way through (too many ppl seated at one table) and the staff did nothing. They were rude, misogynistic to the female staff and noone did anything. Please do not give e business to drunk people who are abusive to staff. As you then ruin the experience for other people. Also, the food was somewhat bland. The side door to the street was left open yhr whole time so a freezing blast of cold air blew on me the entire time. Wine was below average. Do not come here. A major disappointment.

A busy place in the heart of China Town with reliably good food. They have a large choice of noodles in soup stock which are decadent and flavoursome. Their dim sum is equally good. They are busy and serve delicious, fresh food all day long. We came here for dinner after the theatre and still joined a queue at 10pm. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Considering the large choice in China Town, we chose to come back to this place twice because we knew we could expect excellent food. We came back just for their Dan Dan noodles! As others have said, watch out for their service charge which adds a considerable whack to an already expensive bill. Definitely worth a try when visiting China Town.

Had the schezwan double cooked pork belly, one of the best chinese dishes i have had in years. Good mix of meat, fresh vegetables, mushrooms the balance of salt, chillie spice and pepper spice was on point. I had it with plain steamed rice and think it was the way to go to prevent it being too much/too fatty. Will be back👍

Was there twice during the Chinese New Year weekend. Experienced really nice food (ask for “no MSG”) and a quite friendly service. A bit disappointed by the constantly changing staff at our table, many questions asked multiple times by different staff. Everything else was good. Place is a bit crowded with little distance between the tables.

Popped in for lunch with my daughter today, was not given a lunch menu so we ordered off regular menu. One spring roll, 2 mains, one portion of rice, one fanta and one glass of house wine, £68…..absolutely floored by the price! Food was nice but at that price it would want to be outstanding, and it wasn’t.

Every time o am on central London this place is a must. The crispy duck pancake is to die for, it is authentic and honest the best! The way the duck is brought to your table, hot and on the bone, and then Shredded off the bone infront of you! THE BEST
