Favorite Chicken Apsley in Dacorum

I was going to order on line and collect my chicken 🍗 🙂 but instead I decided to go & order it in the shop & as I was only 3 minutes away from the shop it made sense. Well all you couch potatoes sitting on your lazy ass ordering stuff of the web and complaining that the delivery drivers an hour late & your foods cold. Go get off your backside and go outside & collect your food,cos it worked out CHEAPER to order at the shop than online! 😁 About £4 cheaper I think. Going on line doesn't always work out cheaper! And if your foods late it's probably the driver fault for that NOT the shops fault. The other week I see a food delivery driver cycling 🚲 down the hard shoulder of the M4!!...must of had a death wish?. The Chicken 🍗🍗 was good & hot. Chips = hot 👍🏻 no cold and soggy ones here. ( I asked for the spicy 🔥 chips try em if you've never had them). Drink = can 7up And finally the chicken 🍗 Spicy 🔥 🥵 burger was good 💯 😊 I didn't have to wait for a lost delivery driver & cold food!! I was in & out quick + It was hot & tasty straight from the shop with no waiting around for the food. Overall it was good 👍🏻😊 If you like my review then leave me a thumbs up 👍🏻👍🏻😎 & maybe follow.

Chips were tasteless ,spicy chicken wings tasted like the oil wasn't changed in a long time. Chicken pieces were the same.I'm sorry but fried chicken should taste like it,not like and old bowl of rancid oil.Coleslaw was decent enough.

Came at expected time, but left restaurant around 30 minutes before it arrived. Was freezing, not happy.

Daughter brought a burger that was pink inside, called up and was told it was the chickens fault and they thought it was a bad batch. Then continued to say we can collect another one, questioned that if it was a bad batch of chicken then why are you still selling it. Couldn’t answer the question.

Hot a fresh food delivered quickly. Drink was nicely chilled too.

1hr 45 mins to deliver food… they said it would be 45 mins. Called twice they said driver has left. Didn’t arrive. Then they stopped answering the phone.

Definitely the best fried chicken in Hemel! Owner makes sure everything is always spot on! Never cold, good portion sizes and cheaper than everywhere else. I telephone order prior to collect. Seems the best service and always ready when I come to collect. Last review was about 3 years ago and still feel the same about this place. Keep up the good work. :-) New update. 14/06/24 I have tried to order now for delivery. This has been firstly met by no delivery available or yes but different menu with different prices! I don't mind paying a delivery charge but the way favourite have gone around adding costs to each item and restricting particular items which they don't profit from is just wrong. Unfortunately since last couple of years we have lost the amazing place this once was. Very disappointing.

Placed an easy order in the shop i had to ask for a refund for some wings and few pieces of chicken was hoping to be in and out but 15 minutes later still waiting They should tell customers if something is not ready and there is a delay. Bad communication destroys business This place is going down the drain day by day

was missing drinks and extra piece of chicken but after speaking to someone they sent them without delay. overall will have again.

Forgot to give us one of our orders then got mad when we came back for it saying this is why you should order one by one instead of together, which is what we did you meady yute. Short guy has absolutely no customer service nor respect, I will never even come back here again 1 star ridiculous behaviour, owner fix up your staff with some common sense and training and tell him to keep his voice down mate we ain’t his kids but paying customer ,food tastes not fresh either

Short man making the buns 5 minutes ago forgot my order and got loud with an attitude because i didnt have my receipt to show him

Fresh chicken. Popcorn chicken was actual pieces of breast meat as opposed to the processed stuff at KFC. Little bit expensive but better quality food that we don’t feel greasy after eating.

Terrible service, no salt no serviettes yet again. We paid extra for a large chips and didn’t receive them. Having driven there to collect the order. We stipulated one burger with no mayo but the other one with mayo, but both came without no mayo. No spoon with bean that were ordered. I spoke to the woman on the phone and she was so unhelpful never offered for any compensation or to deliver any chips to us and a new burger with mayo to us. She was really rude on the phone shouting at me it was our fault. Chips are cold and the employees don’t know what they are doing. Go to KFC !!!!!

We ordered the food and got scammed. Never recieved the food or a refund. The staff was very rude and hung up the call and refused to deliver our food or offer a refund lying that they have called us many times when we have not gotten any missed calls and the food was still marked as being prepared on the delivery app. Never ordering again. Very dissapointed.

Absolutely disgusting. First time at fried chicken and thought we'd give it ago soon to realise that this is not the place to be. I had got the chicken burger and fries and within minutes could tell was something wrong with it. This had left me the sickest I've ever felt and has affected my stomach ever since. If you don't want food poisoning, DONT go here.

This particular Favorite Fried Chicken shop in Apsley sticks out as being very clean, friendly, and fresh-tasting. They have good in-store deals, their portions are generous, and their meal offerings are plentiful. If you are a fan of the classic fried chicken burger meal then this is the place for you to visit. I would strongly recommended to any fried chicken lover.

Asked for peri peri chips but didn't get them. Ordered one piece chicken but it looked like it was 2/3 days old. A shame really because I order from here a lot in person.

Ordered on the 2/4/23 Ordered a family 6 piece with fries and a burger., was told I need to wait 15 minutes. Negative experience based on the following: Got home only to discover the chicken burger was missing, called up and was asked to come back as they wouldn't deliver: the manager wasn't in so unable a refund: they would give it when I ordered again . I returned and requested a refund , they gave me coins (10p ans 20p), which I thought was odd. Cashier handles coinage and food which is a no no. Place looks like it's not been cleaned (floors and work areas dirty) Poor service, poor quality assurance, poor customer service and lack management, it's a shame.

I hate to give a bad review but on this occasion it’s well & truly justified !! when it comes to any kind of cooking I’d rather it be slightly over cooked that severely under cooked chicken looked raw and when I mean raw still pink & very poor food quality awful !! I wish I’d taken pictures totally disgusting 🤢 I rang & spoke to person on serving counter & I was told to bring back & they would swap for another meal but my confidence was totally lost I was put off sorry but if you don’t want food poisoning stay clear from this chicken shop !!!

Late delivery is nothing to do with the restaurant itself. We contract people like just eat & uber for example, to collect & Deliver. The food is cooked fresh for us upon ordering & time required, so you get fresh, plump, juicy and non burnt food or coatings. Unlike KFC, dixy or any other chicken outlet which 9 x out of 10 is ineadable & they decide what you can or cannot have. Unlike Favourite who give you what you ask for. So if it's late, it is worth the wait as you've just bought quality. But take any delay up with who you've asked to collect and deliver it. It's not fair to blame the restaurant

The favorite chicken is very unique but I pleasantly surprised. The food had great flavour and was still warm. The only thing was maybe the popcorn chicken was a but dry. However, I would definitely recommend and will be ordering again.

The chicken is nice(although sometimes you can tell that the oil is old) but the customer service is non-existent. The staff is rude and the shop isn't clean. Not sure what happens guys but you should get your staff properly trained.

They sent the wrong stuff at 1st and they're like... Oh the driver mixed the orders although he only had my order. Then they sent it again 2 hours later... Awful service, awful customer service as he wasn't helpful at all. He just didn't care. He didn't knew how to get rid of me on the phone....He kept saying "not my problem" , "not my fault ".... But who's problem is it? Who's fault is it? Never again. Awful behaviour.

Ate here a couple weeks ago, don't really eat out all that often and hadn't eaten anything different. The next day I started feeling awfully unwell and it just got worse from there. The doctor had said I'd caught listeria from something (normally salad based) and it made sense cos I got the favourite burger which had salad in which was bad.

Food was banging burger was nice and sauced with a crunch, not dry and dead, wings were juicy and succulent easy off the bone, amazing customer service, bossman was BUSSSIN out bareeee sauces for man, and even gave a extra drink, would defo recommend.

It was very good to start with. But now i would not reccomend it to anybody. The last time i went there for a food order . When i got home to eat it you could smell it was old oil they was still using. It gave me an upset stomach for 2 days. Never again will i use this place nor reccomend it

This was nit jush one oice it was a box of chicken Has made me and my partner really I'll even after biting into it and spitting out wrong order completely and burgers have more mayo than chicken in it staff are verry rude and shop not clean everything is covered in grease

Picked up a takeaway from here for a group of us - first time order as we recently moved offices to Apsley. Prior to this we had been driving into Hemel Town centre to pick up food from either Pepes or peri peri original. They are both garbage with regards to quality of food and especially the time taken to get your food ready. Favourite chicken got the order spot on, had it ready in good time and the quality of the food was spot on! Easy to order from website which is a great touch! Will definitely be going back here!
