Although high social media buzz , it is below expectations, food is below average , Philly steak sandwich lack taste , meat quality isn’t great either , chicken is better , yet too much sauce you can barley taste the chicken , and bread is average

Saw about this place from a food blogger, who said it was the best sandwich he's ever had! Now that's high praise so when I was here for work I had to try! And it didn't disapoint, it was a bit weird having just a window for comunication to the guys and ordering on my phone, but they was friendly and quick and the food tasted like effort was put into it! I do think its a lil pricey, but I feel that way with most of manchester 😅 However if you have any allergies this probably isn't the place for you, its a very small kitchen and they don't have the ability to cater to allergies so beware. But as someone blessed to be allergy free I would recommend!

Food was tasty, definitely lived up to the hype and I would say value for money. However, nobody answered the bell on arrival so I had to wait 5 mins before someone came down by chance to tell them I was here for my collection. Those 5 minutes were almost enough to put me off the food. A grim alleyway with a cocktail of bad smells from bin juice to p*ss. Then it’s difficult to find somewhere to eat it. Once we found a bench, it’s a naturally a difficult food to eat on your lap - resulted in greasy stains on my jeans :( if you guys grow to a shop with tables then I’d consider returning.

The online ordering and collection was seamless, although collecting food surrounded by bins is a bit unusual! We both got the Philly cheesesteak. Nice flavours but I think for us personally the strong and salty taste became a bit overwhelming after a while. Maybe we picked the wrong sandwich for us!

JUST TRY IT ONCE…stop debating it…YOLO. This is probably one of the only places that has ever lived up to social media hype. You can only order online - if you don’t, you risk not getting anything because they will sell out. Basically they sell 3 sandwiches, tried the Philly cheesesteak and the hot honey. Now, a lot of people in the reviews claimed these sandwiches were life changing…well for £15 quid per sandwich, I sure hope so. Both sandwiches offer very unique flavours, the bread was super fresh and elastic, and both sandos were packed to the BRIM with meat and were steaming hot. Really nice guy at the window, gave us our order earlier than our pick up time, was def freshly made. Very unique and worth giving a try, at least once. Sandwiches are def way too big for one person, one of them can easily be shared between two people

Ordered via uber eats, this was exactly what it's hyped up to be absolutely banging! The sauce is beautiful aswell! It's quite a high price for a sandwich but so worth it! Considering nowhere in manchester seems to be very cheap! After being disappointed at american pies last night this has definitely made a come back! Would 100% order again makes you do a happy dance it's so good! Ziggy fries was okay but nothing amazing but the sandwich was phenomenal!

I'm sure the food is good, but we stood out the side for 10min trying to order online and it kept giving us an error with incorrect postcode and mobile number. So, we never got to try it. Mate, we're tourists. Why would we have a postcode? And why do you need an address to order a bloody sub! Also, the collection point is a rubbish bin area...

After the longest time of it being on the wishlist, I finally made it to Fat Pats! The subs definitely live up to the hype. The philly cheesesteak was hefty to say the least! Packed with steak and melty cheese. I went for the combo which also included a drink and ziggy fries. 10 out of 10, would eat here again. Remember to order online and pick up from the alleyway! And make sure you have an appetite!

I tried both the Philly Cheesesteak and the Hot Honey Fried Chicken sandwiches at Fatpatz, and they were absolutely delicious. The flavors were spot on, and you can tell they use quality ingredients. Surprisingly I preferred the Hot Honey Fried Chicken, as it was saucy and full of flavour. While the prices are a bit higher compared to other spots, the taste and portion sizes make it worth the splurge. Definitely a great place if you’re craving a solid, flavorful sandwich. You have to order online, and depending on how busy they are waiting times vary, and drinks menu is limited so best to bring your own.

I chose Philly Cheesesteak, I was very pleased with it, it was really great. You place your order online and go to the specified time and pick up your order from the window. Only the atmosphere of the side street where it is located is a bit bad. I chose the drink included package and paid £16. You can also buy one to try for two people, the portion is large.

Very overrated, Philly cheesesteak is not nice at all meat in it is terrible and so chewy and hard. Tastes like a cheap burger from a burger truck. Decided to try it cause been seeing it all over TikTok, Dont know what all the hype is about to be honest.

I LOVE fat pats. We aren’t from the area but drive up (2hrs) regularly for the sandwiches. Honestly never had anything like it. The fries are super fresh and crispy, nicely salted and the white sauce is a very strong garlic sauce (really good). It does take a while to get your food even though you have to select a pick up time so make sure you have enough time to be waiting around for a bit. It’s totally worth it and for how much food you get the price is extremely reasonable!

Ordered Uber delivery. The food was nice. The French fries were soaked. Overall the sandwich was tasty and Recommended.

This place is the undisputed king of delivery food! Whoever Fat Pat is — someone really needs to shake his hand for creating something this good. I’m writing this after at least 5–6 orders, and every single time the food has been just as delicious as the last. That kind of consistency in delivery is honestly impressive. My go-to is The Philly Cheesesteak — a.k.a. the big boy you see in the picture. I order it with a side of Ziggy Fries, which pair perfectly. I’ve tried the Hot Honey Fried Chicken too, but the Philly Cheesesteak is just too good not to keep going back to. You can see the packaging in the photo — it changes from time to time, but it’s always super sleek and well thought-out. And let me tell you, unless you’re really hungry, finishing one of these solo can be a challenge. So no, I don’t think the £15-ish price tag is too much — with that size and flavor, it’s totally worth it.

I ordered from Fat Pats on 16/03 and didn't have the greatest experience due to a long wait. I reached out to them via email to share my feedback, and they were very understanding, offering to provide some cheesesteaks on the house as compensation for the negative experience. When I returned to pick up the cheesesteaks, the staff was aware of my visit and provided excellent service. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious, and the overall customer experience was much improved. Highly recommend Fat Pats for their great resolution and outstanding customer service!

I'm about to lay on the glaze. The best sandwich I have ever consumed. That was a masterpiece. The philly cheesesteak was SO flavourful, with properly spiced meat, herbaceous fillings, and oozing cheese. I can see why this is a Philadelphia staple and I'm so glad Fat Pat's has brought it to the UK in such remarkable style. A must eat if you find yourself in Manchester. 10/10 would recommend.

Some fantastic sandwiches on offer but they are quite expensive. Kind of like a fancy subway sandwich. Ordering online and collecting through the hatch is novel but a little disorganised at busy times. Super tasty food though.

The philly cheesesteak is unbelievable. I’ve actually never had a sandwich like this before and it blew me away. It’s also absolutely massive and filled to the brim so although the price is higher you get a mount of food. Came back again the next day, can’t make this a regular or I’ll turn into a fat Pat 😂

A delicious philly cheesesteak. Absolutely stacked with filling and flavour and soo large it took 2 sittings. The ordering process is simple and effective but as you'd expect, the alleyway is dingy - but this adds somewhat to the atmosphere and expectations. Absolutely bloody delicious.

Wow big hype so had to try fat pats and to say am disappointed is an understatement i had to walk away from the bins literally opposite fat pat window because of the smell and that's the waiting area the hygiene is none excitence and rats are in abundance there very active at night, I wouldn't be surprised if that meat your eating is a big ass rat or two 🙄, never again. P.s we where all ill 🤒 all 5 of us.

Went to try out the super famous philly - cheese steak . It was sooo good ! too salty for my liking , and had to drink pints and pints of water after , BUT ! it was honestly an amazing, flavourful , descent sub ! would recommend to anyone , especially those who like their food on saltier / spicier side . You will not be disappointed ! PS. If you are not super duper hungry, one sub will be just enough to share with someone else as they are BIG ! 🤌🏼

As expected this was brilliant, although the sandwiches are absolutely enormous you could definitely share this with somebody else.

It was quite bizarre waiting around a dumpster alleyway for a literal hole in the wall. You have to order your food online before you get there or you end up waiting 20mins next to the main bins. There was a lot of hype on the Philly cheese steak and so I ordered that and then decided to also try the honey chicken. The honey chicken was amazing, bursting with sauce and flavours. Absolutely would eat again. Got to the Philly cheese steak and was disappointed. Other than being quite heavy, I didn't see the hype at all. It was missing texture and acidity. Just a heavy beef and cheese patty with alot of salt.

I ordered a cheese steak sandwich with meat and cheese. The size of the sandwich is approximately 12 inches, enough for two, and it is fatty, but very ordinary. There are stores that offer better and lower prices, and their meat costs 14 pounds. You order the food from the website and there are no sittings. You order it, so you take it with you, my love. If he comes from afar, you eat, and he stops, be careful. You come and plan to sit. 🙂

The sandwich was okay but the experience was not. Dingy, unsafe, unclean alleyway and the person serving seemed intent on making as few trips as possible to the window. This resulted in me waiting for much longer than necessary as he was gathering as many orders as possible, maybe to gather a crowd who knows. Shrimp sandwich was in fact nice enough to recommend, but if you're charging a 15 pound price tag, your customer base is likely not on ubereats.

Difficult to imagine it living up to the buzz, but honestly the Philly Cheesecake is life changing. You can scrap all your smash burgers and focaccia sandwiches - all you need in your life is steak, lathered with cheese, packed into a soft buns. Exceptional. Order ahead online and pick up from the inconspicuous booth down an alley (in between a variety of bins). It's not exactly a salubrious environment, but you'll forgive it at first bite...

The fillet steak is beautiful, very delicious and distinctive, and the filling is delicious. The sandwich is enough for two comfortably, and you may not be able to finish it.. but the price is ridiculous, but it is normal. After 4 years, I may return to it.

We tried both philly cheesesteak and hot honey fried chicken sandwiches, and they were delicious. The price is higher than other restaurants, but the portions made it feel almost fair. However, the order took 1.5 hours to arrive, even though the restaurant is only 1 kilometer away. We were in a hurry, which made the wait very stressful.

We spent the weekend in Mancester and Fat Pats is one of the most recommended food on Tiktok. The place is definitely a hidden gem. We ordered on Saturday the Philly Cheesesteak and it blew our mind! 🤯 The filling is even more than the bread and it has so much flavour and everything works well. So before we left Manchester we have to try another sandwich which is the Shrimp Po’boy which is our new favourite sandwich that we ever tried! Like the BEST!!! The shrimp is cooked perfectly and the size of it is massive. Price is good especially it is a big sandwich good for two people. Definitely will come back to Manchester and order it again. Will be craving it for the next few months to come. 💯 Highly recommended!

I ordered the hot honey fried chicken, and it was absolutely delicious! The sauce paired perfectly with the chicken—truly amazing! However, I must share my concerns about the safety of the location, especially as a woman. While I was waiting for my order, a man followed me and started talking to me. I firmly refused his advances, but he lingered nearby, which made me extremely uncomfortable. Thank goodness there were other people around—a couple—because I felt genuinely scared as the man seemed to be waiting for the right moment when I was alone. At one point, I didn’t even realize he was standing behind me while I was ordering. When he noticed the couple wasn’t leaving, he finally walked away from another side. I was so shaken that I considered leaving without my order, but thankfully it was ready in less than 10 minutes. I have recommended this place to a friend, but I advised her to come with her husband for safety. I truly hope this feedback highlights the need for improved safety measures at this location. It’s such a shame because the food is fantastic, but the experience was distressing. Please take this into consideration. 🙏

This is an advanture I took the crispy chicken with honey The sub was very very big The sub bread was cloudy and cozy hugging all the integridiants And the flavours were good The soda with cherry was amaaaaaazing Some how i would Recommend you try this place because if felt to me like an advanture and a journey

I ordered the Hot Honey Fried Chicken which was very tasty! I would come back to try the philly cheesesteak and would recommend this place to others! I don't see myself visiting frequently purely because of the prices but that's just me. The only thing that knocks off a star for me is that the chips were clearly oven/frozen chips, so unless you absolutely must have a side, i would avoid ordering them. Would be great if you could consider hand made chips in the future!

Had the honey chicken sandwich and it was probably the best sandwich I've ever eaten. Only bad point is the rude and obnoxious deliveroo drivers pushing past customers to get to the window and constantly shouting up to the staff that are already stressed trying to keep up with the orders. Will definitely be back though!

Never tried this before until today and my god I can’t think of many better things I’ve ever tasted in my life. The chicken one 9.9/10. Steak 9.8/10 throw some jalapenos on that and it’s on par with the chicken. Absolute joke how good this place is, HEAVY Butties! Only issue I’ve got is that I didn’t know about it sooner because it probably would’ve changed my life.

Got the hot honey chicken sandwich and was not disappointed. It was very tasty and a huge portion, you get good value for money and the ordering system is very efficient. I will be returning.

One of the worst service i ve had in whole of manchester. Made me wait in the street for over an hour beyond my pickup time for an order i placed online. They kept telling me 15 mins more and didnt even start to make the order untill i was there for half an hour. This was my 2nd time and def the last time because not gonna go and waste my time here anymore.

Firstly, they brang the food out 40 minutes after the time it said to collect!!! this alone is ridiculous and out of order. Secondly, we ordered both the philly and the chicken. Chicken was good, I enjoyed the flavour BUT it was COLD! LIKE STONE COLD. The Philly however was DRY and lacked flavour, I don't understand the craze over this one, Its actually the worst I've ever had.

Off the beaten track, we pre-ordered & waited about 20 mins when we got there but kind of expected that based on reviews. Amazing flavours, soft bread, cheese throughout & crispy onions & chives too. Nearly could have shared one between us but we powered through. Thankfully our hotel was nearby to bring it back to as otherwise it's a very messy street eat!

I unfortunately am not local to Manchester so whenever we visit this is always on my list! I love the Philly Cheese Steak it’s the best thing on the menu. On my last visit I decided to try the Hot Honey Chicken, it was nice but for me it didn’t hit like the PCS. My only fault really is the wait time I pre ordered both times and still had to wait 30/40 minutes. After working in the food sector myself, I can’t understand how you can be so behind when all of your orders are pre booked ahead of time. That being said, both times I’ve had to wait they have given us complimentary fries or drinks. Apart from that and the alley being minging! I do love fat pats and I think about it year round until my next visit to MCR!

This is the second time I have tried fat pats and both times it has blown me away! The philly cheese steak is incredible, I have also tried the hot honey chicken which I liked but was no where near as good in my opinion. I can't rate high on atmosphere as it is down an alley but that doesn't really bother me, I'm only there to pick up the food! My only issue is both times I've placed an order hours in advance and when I have gone to pick it up I've had to wait 30 - 45 minutes for my order. I don't really understand how you can be so behind when people have preordered so far in advance. But they were very apolgetic both times and gave us complimentary drinks and fries. Even with the wait time I'd still be there every week if I lived nearby, its worth the wait!

I saw the reviews before placing an order and didn’t expect much. When I got there, it was in an ally right at the heart of China town with que of people facing a window. Almost looked like one of those shady movies where people are waiting to buy their fix but the only thing is the people didn’t look like crack heads but genuine working professionals. I got there for 12:45 lunch time so expected it to be busy. Guy at the window told me it would take 15 more mins, but offered to chuck in a few goodies. I grabbed me a Philly cheese steak, the food dealer chucked in a drink, sauce and fries on the house. Quality: god damn! 10/10. Service: 8/10! environment: you can do much about it but it’s a secret gem hiding. The portions are heavy and I cannot complain at all. Just finished half a sandwich and decided to write this.

Went to get dinner , rang the bell and no one came out. Waited a couple minutes outside, no one came, and in the meanwhile some delivery drivers shouted inside and someone came to serve them right away, ignoring the people waiting and going back inside right away.

Best sandwich in England. Been here 4 times since last year and I’m not even from Manchester. Chicken Sandwich is insane and a must have. The Philly cheese is even better the next day when air fried. 100% recommend. Make sure to pre order on the website.
