Wow big hype so had to try fat pats and to say am disappointed is an understatement i had to walk away from the bins literally opposite fat pat window because of the smell and that's the waiting area the hygiene is none excitence and rats are in abundance there very active at night, I wouldn't be surprised if that meat your eating is a big ass rat or two 🙄, never again. P.s we where all ill 🤒 all 5 of us.

Went to try out the super famous philly - cheese steak . It was sooo good ! too salty for my liking , and had to drink pints and pints of water after , BUT ! it was honestly an amazing, flavourful , descent sub ! would recommend to anyone , especially those who like their food on saltier / spicier side . You will not be disappointed ! PS. If you are not super duper hungry, one sub will be just enough to share with someone else as they are BIG ! 🤌🏼

As expected this was brilliant, although the sandwiches are absolutely enormous you could definitely share this with somebody else.

I ordered a cheese steak sandwich with meat and cheese. The size of the sandwich is approximately 12 inches, enough for two, and it is fatty, but very ordinary. There are stores that offer better and lower prices, and their meat costs 14 pounds. You order the food from the website and there are no sittings. You order it, so you take it with you, my love. If he comes from afar, you eat, and he stops, be careful. You come and plan to sit. 🙂

It was quite bizarre waiting around a dumpster alleyway for a literal hole in the wall. You have to order your food online before you get there or you end up waiting 20mins next to the main bins. There was a lot of hype on the Philly cheese steak and so I ordered that and then decided to also try the honey chicken. The honey chicken was amazing, bursting with sauce and flavours. Absolutely would eat again. Got to the Philly cheese steak and was disappointed. Other than being quite heavy, I didn't see the hype at all. It was missing texture and acidity. Just a heavy beef and cheese patty with alot of salt.

The sandwich was okay but the experience was not. Dingy, unsafe, unclean alleyway and the person serving seemed intent on making as few trips as possible to the window. This resulted in me waiting for much longer than necessary as he was gathering as many orders as possible, maybe to gather a crowd who knows. Shrimp sandwich was in fact nice enough to recommend, but if you're charging a 15 pound price tag, your customer base is likely not on ubereats.

Difficult to imagine it living up to the buzz, but honestly the Philly Cheesecake is life changing. You can scrap all your smash burgers and focaccia sandwiches - all you need in your life is steak, lathered with cheese, packed into a soft buns. Exceptional. Order ahead online and pick up from the inconspicuous booth down an alley (in between a variety of bins). It's not exactly a salubrious environment, but you'll forgive it at first bite...

The fillet steak is beautiful, very delicious and distinctive, and the filling is delicious. The sandwich is enough for two comfortably, and you may not be able to finish it.. but the price is ridiculous, but it is normal. After 4 years, I may return to it.

We tried both philly cheesesteak and hot honey fried chicken sandwiches, and they were delicious. The price is higher than other restaurants, but the portions made it feel almost fair. However, the order took 1.5 hours to arrive, even though the restaurant is only 1 kilometer away. We were in a hurry, which made the wait very stressful.

We spent the weekend in Mancester and Fat Pats is one of the most recommended food on Tiktok. The place is definitely a hidden gem. We ordered on Saturday the Philly Cheesesteak and it blew our mind! 🤯 The filling is even more than the bread and it has so much flavour and everything works well. So before we left Manchester we have to try another sandwich which is the Shrimp Po’boy which is our new favourite sandwich that we ever tried! Like the BEST!!! The shrimp is cooked perfectly and the size of it is massive. Price is good especially it is a big sandwich good for two people. Definitely will come back to Manchester and order it again. Will be craving it for the next few months to come. 💯 Highly recommended!

I ordered the hot honey fried chicken, and it was absolutely delicious! The sauce paired perfectly with the chicken—truly amazing! However, I must share my concerns about the safety of the location, especially as a woman. While I was waiting for my order, a man followed me and started talking to me. I firmly refused his advances, but he lingered nearby, which made me extremely uncomfortable. Thank goodness there were other people around—a couple—because I felt genuinely scared as the man seemed to be waiting for the right moment when I was alone. At one point, I didn’t even realize he was standing behind me while I was ordering. When he noticed the couple wasn’t leaving, he finally walked away from another side. I was so shaken that I considered leaving without my order, but thankfully it was ready in less than 10 minutes. I have recommended this place to a friend, but I advised her to come with her husband for safety. I truly hope this feedback highlights the need for improved safety measures at this location. It’s such a shame because the food is fantastic, but the experience was distressing. Please take this into consideration. 🙏

I ordered the Hot Honey Fried Chicken which was very tasty! I would come back to try the philly cheesesteak and would recommend this place to others! I don't see myself visiting frequently purely because of the prices but that's just me. The only thing that knocks off a star for me is that the chips were clearly oven/frozen chips, so unless you absolutely must have a side, i would avoid ordering them. Would be great if you could consider hand made chips in the future!

Had the honey chicken sandwich and it was probably the best sandwich I've ever eaten. Only bad point is the rude and obnoxious deliveroo drivers pushing past customers to get to the window and constantly shouting up to the staff that are already stressed trying to keep up with the orders. Will definitely be back though!

Never tried this before until today and my god I can’t think of many better things I’ve ever tasted in my life. The chicken one 9.9/10. Steak 9.8/10 throw some jalapenos on that and it’s on par with the chicken. Absolute joke how good this place is, HEAVY Butties! Only issue I’ve got is that I didn’t know about it sooner because it probably would’ve changed my life.

One of the worst service i ve had in whole of manchester. Made me wait in the street for over an hour beyond my pickup time for an order i placed online. They kept telling me 15 mins more and didnt even start to make the order untill i was there for half an hour. This was my 2nd time and def the last time because not gonna go and waste my time here anymore.

Firstly, they brang the food out 40 minutes after the time it said to collect!!! this alone is ridiculous and out of order. Secondly, we ordered both the philly and the chicken. Chicken was good, I enjoyed the flavour BUT it was COLD! LIKE STONE COLD. The Philly however was DRY and lacked flavour, I don't understand the craze over this one, Its actually the worst I've ever had.

Off the beaten track, we pre-ordered & waited about 20 mins when we got there but kind of expected that based on reviews. Amazing flavours, soft bread, cheese throughout & crispy onions & chives too. Nearly could have shared one between us but we powered through. Thankfully our hotel was nearby to bring it back to as otherwise it's a very messy street eat!

I unfortunately am not local to Manchester so whenever we visit this is always on my list! I love the Philly Cheese Steak it’s the best thing on the menu. On my last visit I decided to try the Hot Honey Chicken, it was nice but for me it didn’t hit like the PCS. My only fault really is the wait time I pre ordered both times and still had to wait 30/40 minutes. After working in the food sector myself, I can’t understand how you can be so behind when all of your orders are pre booked ahead of time. That being said, both times I’ve had to wait they have given us complimentary fries or drinks. Apart from that and the alley being minging! I do love fat pats and I think about it year round until my next visit to MCR!

This is the second time I have tried fat pats and both times it has blown me away! The philly cheese steak is incredible, I have also tried the hot honey chicken which I liked but was no where near as good in my opinion. I can't rate high on atmosphere as it is down an alley but that doesn't really bother me, I'm only there to pick up the food! My only issue is both times I've placed an order hours in advance and when I have gone to pick it up I've had to wait 30 - 45 minutes for my order. I don't really understand how you can be so behind when people have preordered so far in advance. But they were very apolgetic both times and gave us complimentary drinks and fries. Even with the wait time I'd still be there every week if I lived nearby, its worth the wait!

Never been to an alleyway for a sub before but it was well worth it…. We got both chicken & steak and they were absolutely delicious and huge! I have to say the chicken takes the lead as the sauce was just amazing. Will definitely be returning.

Absolutely incredible as always. Every time I visit manchester I get a fat pats sandwich. I pre-ordered my sandwich but I got it about 15 minutes later than the pre-order time. Definitely not something I would complain about, but they threw in 2 drinks and chips anyways. Amazing customer service and delicious food!!!!!

I saw the reviews before placing an order and didn’t expect much. When I got there, it was in an ally right at the heart of China town with que of people facing a window. Almost looked like one of those shady movies where people are waiting to buy their fix but the only thing is the people didn’t look like crack heads but genuine working professionals. I got there for 12:45 lunch time so expected it to be busy. Guy at the window told me it would take 15 more mins, but offered to chuck in a few goodies. I grabbed me a Philly cheese steak, the food dealer chucked in a drink, sauce and fries on the house. Quality: god damn! 10/10. Service: 8/10! environment: you can do much about it but it’s a secret gem hiding. The portions are heavy and I cannot complain at all. Just finished half a sandwich and decided to write this.

Went to get dinner , rang the bell and no one came out. Waited a couple minutes outside, no one came, and in the meanwhile some delivery drivers shouted inside and someone came to serve them right away, ignoring the people waiting and going back inside right away.

Best sandwich in England. Been here 4 times since last year and I’m not even from Manchester. Chicken Sandwich is insane and a must have. The Philly cheese is even better the next day when air fried. 100% recommend. Make sure to pre order on the website.

I was ill on my first visit and try of the philly cheese steak, so just tasted like hot food. However, so glad I went back to try the honey chicken. The flavoured hoagie, the fresh fillings and sweet chicken. It is £14 pound but it took me 2½ days to finish, every bite was worth it. If only there was better parking round here as this is majorly limiting from another visit, but definitely worth giving a go if you're in Manchester

Large subs. Tried both the chicken and the Philly cheesesteak. Have tried chicken one twice, first time it was spicy which was nice, second time it was very sweet and not spicy. Does get quite messy when eating. The Philly cheesesteak is always the same. Large amount of meat in the sandwich and very soft. Good flavour however feel it could do with a little more sauce. Did find there was a large amount of crispy fried onions on it this time too. One sub can easily feed two people. Just be aware when you collect it is in an alleyway.. and you will be standing next to bins whilst waiting for your food.

You have to place your order online for collection. A bit odd but fine, we placed an order for 1h15 minutes after we arrived as that was the earliest slot available. Order don’t go through (we didn’t know that till we arrived). Tried again and Still didn’t work. We spoke to them and they said our site must be down just order through deliveroo. Meaning we’d have to wait another 30-40 minutes. The ordering system is wack and it shouldn’t take 1-2 hours to get a hold of 1 sandwich 🥲

Wow! These sandwiches are incredible and are a must try if you are in Manchester. I put 5 stars for the atmosphere even though it is not a sit down restaurant because it is a cool experience to walk up this tiny alley and see a bunch of people waiting with great anticipation for their sandwiches to be passed out through the window 😂 The way it works is you put your order in online and it will tell you an estimated pick up time... It is worth the wait but ours was 1.5 hrs so just pre plan to get the order in well before you want your food as it is in high demand. My gf and I split and sandwich combo with crinkle chips and drink and it was plenty for us but also wish we had both got a different sandwich just to try two. The portion of chips was pretty big and the raspberry lemonade was great. I highly recommend eating here as often as you can. Absolutely loved the Philly cheese steak and can't wait to try the spicy honey chicken.

Had a day trip to Manchester planned out and this was going to be our final food stop after seeing a guy go here on youtube. It’s a shame to say I would have given zero stars if I could. Google showed it to be open till 11:30. We arrived at 8:30, the hatch was open. We looked online to order but everything bar one combo was showing as out of stock. We were going to order this combo regardless however it said the next pick up was the following day at 11am! I am so glad I spotted this before I paid. We attempted to ring the bell for a good 5 minutes but no one came even though they were in there so we we ended up leaving and were quite gutted because we had walked quite far to get there and were obviously hungry. I honestly wouldn’t bother again.

I like the vibe and sandwich was well constructed. I got the cheesesteak and the meat itself was lacking in flavour. Predominant flavour was just the cheese which was disappointing. Bread was nice.

I got the Philly Cheesteak with chips and a drink. It's a good sub but I wouldn't say it's the best I've had, I definitely think it could use more cheese and sauce. Other than that the flavours in the actual sub were great. Make sure you order in advance as it's pickup only. They gave us an estimated timing but it did take a little longer for it to be prepared. Lastly, the sub was so big so definitely share with someone else.

Very overrated, the food in manchester and england as a whole really isnt good probably explains why people overrate it. Not saying I wouldnt recommend atleast trying it, im saying only try it because you want to, dont buy into the hype. They give you a solid amount of food but its really average

I get mine delivered on deliveroo so if you don't fancy the pick up point round the back can always get delivered. It's so good everyone should try it at least once if your in manchester. Delicious.

Why does this place have such good reviews? Im so confused. I was the most excited I’ve ever probably been but so severely disappointed. I ordered the philly cheesesteak (which I stopped eating after a couple of bites it was that bad) and the hot honey chicken, this was just okay, average but nowhere near as good as it should be for that price. If you want to try it because it’s been so hyped on social media then just order 1 thing and try it out. Do not buy the chips or anything else, they were awful too.

Visited this place yesterday with my husband. As it was on top of his list for trying out food places in Manchester. We ordered the Philly Cheesesteak & the Hot honey fried chicken. We started with the philly, and all I can say is that it is the BEST philly I have had in my entire life! Fully loaded, full of flavour and so so delicious! We loved it sooo much! The size of the sub is huge, we shared one and were super full. So saved the chicken one to have later. The chicken one was absolutely delicious too, considering we had it a little later we still really enjoyed it. Although the subs are quite pricey, I have to say the fact that the subs are filled to the rim is so worth it. The portion sizes are huge. So definitely worth it! Would I go again. 100% yes!!!! A MUST TRY...

Order didn't go through properly. Downside of having a gimmicky hole in the wall down an alleyway that youre encouraged to order online for, is that if it doesn't run well you end up....standing in an alleyway next to commercial bins that absolutely reek for 15 mins. Wasted time arranging this pickup on my only day in Manchester on a trip back to the UK. Joke place. Waste of time

The food was much later than the time given, but delayed food doesn't really bother me as look as its good. Unfortunately the chips were cold and none of us finished them. We ordered a philly steak each and shared a chicken one. The philly steak was absolutely garbage, didn't have any kind of wow factor and was massively overpriced. The chicken one was a bit better. My stomach has been messed up since eating it their food and its been 3 days. In summary, don't believe the overpriced hype! Not impressed at all.

I only ever get the Philly Cheesesteak. Find me a better sandwich in England. I dare you. I hear the chicken on is good too but I just love the steak so much I can't go there and bring myself to order anything else. I only bothered with the chips and drink once. Just get the sandwich! I don't really care about the hype.... I went for the food and it has never disappointed. The flavours are out of this world. As for the location.... It's a hole in a wall. Lots of customers to talk to. Yeah it's a dingy alley in China Town but that for me just adds to the atmosphere. Go early and explore China Town. Some great shops there including the Arts and Crafts store up the stairs. My kids love that one!

I ordered the honey chicken and now I can die happy. What the hell do they do to make it taste that good?! Yes it may be a little pricey but unless you work in town and eat there often I don't see the problem with spoiling yourself and especially when it tastes that good. I would have added a photo but after sitting in my van and smelling it as I unwrapped it, I'd destroyed it. 10/10 and thanks for the x2 wipes, they were needed. Definitely coming back... often!

I knew the place from Tiktok, I ordered the philly and I it was a little bit too salty for me, I wish there was a "fresh" element! The fries were good and hot, the Montréal sauce was good, intense and a little bit spicy. The portions were really generous. I liked it! Next time I would try the friedchicken sandwich.
