We visited on the 16th August for dinner. The food, drinks, ambience and service were all excellent quality, but most importantly, my friend left her phone in the bathroom and didn’t realise she had lost it, Rajesh found the phone, charged it and returned it to us by finding the name through our booking name. Many thanks to Rajesh!

Takk for en flott kveld med god mat og utsøkt service. Både forrett, hovedrett og dessert smakte utmerket. Kvaliteten på maten er god i forhold til prisene. Anbefales.

We combined a three courses dinner with musical tickets. The food was very good and the staff very service minded. We will highly recommend this restaurant.

Buzzy restaurant in Haymarket, close to the heart of Theatreland. Staff are attentive, & service is good. Food is great! Bursting with flavour & each dish was layered with depth & spice, which is just enough, but isn't overpowering. Thankfully this restaurant does not have the typical British curries, of the rather dull & boring Jalfrezi, Madras & Tikka's, all designed for the western masses, however its geared towards the more sophisticated pallet. Their Pre/Post Theatre offer is excellent value, and its a great restaurant to visit if in the area.

Great food no doubt but service was not as expected. They forgot our drinks and bread so cancelled them as we had finished eating by then.

Great food and drinks(try the mezcal negroni). We had the farzi taste menu (vegetarian) which was WOW. Nice atmosphere and staff. Waiter Munish was such a lovely friendly guy. Highly recommended.

We stopped off here for a cocktail before going to a show and it did not disappoint! Beautiful cocktails, pricey but it's London and what isn't! Beautiful setting, attentive staff and amazing looking food coming through the restaurant!

Horrible place, a small bottle of cobra for 9quid and a si gle vodka for 12 quid. Complete money vultures. Disgusting thieving people. Outrageous

A shame because the food is quite good, but as a customer we didn't feel noticed, from the moment we walked in. There was no smile, no welcome, after a while one of the 3 men milling around the desk said "in a minute" to us. Really lacklustre, and this continued all the way through - our waiter led us to our table and didn't ask whether we wanted water or to order a drink, so we flagged someone down after 15 minutes of waiting. Each time we were attended by a different waiter - it certainly doesn't feel like you're being looked after or that they are interested in your experience. Some of the individual waiters were friendly and nice, but overall it wasn't a very enjoyable experience - we wouldn't return.

Food quality was very poor. Food was not fresh and was not even warmed up properly. The naan was undercooked. Perfect example of a poorly run restaurant. Staff needs training. Place has serious quality issues.

We attempted to book this restaurant through the Fork but sadly it didn't work, happily the owners contacted us and made the booking. The food is a modern fusion and features some unique combinations. All were very tasty, particularly (and surprisingly) the spinach and kale chaat which was crunchy and bejewelled with pomegranate seeds. Wine was a bit expensive, but overall we enjoyed our lunch.

A lovely dinner at Farzi. Superbly flavoursome food, including an excellent chicken tikka masala and very indulgent black dhaal. The golgappa we had to kick off were also top notch. Overall, way better than the formulaic, mass produced rubbish you get in so many places. Lovely service too and a nice, relaxed atmosphere.

Food very tasty, staff very attentive and friendly. Menu not what we are familiar with but the food was well favoured and so tasty. Nice wine list. They accommodated my daughter with fries but she ended up eating my lamb 🤤 Very glad we stopped here.

London is teeming with excellent Indian eateries. Sadly, I picked Farzi on the 15.12 for a boozy corporate XMas lunch: • Ambience - dull; almost lifeless. • Service - service was patchy. Waiters seemed poorly trained. Drinks orders were confused. • Food o Chicken starters were raw! Whilst the waiter was quick to address it, we waited up to 45 minutes for other dishes to arrive. o Plastic shards - the raita and dal arrived with plastic in it! I complained again and was told by Savio (Ops Manager) that ‘it’s the first time it’s ever happened and he’s extremely sorry’. Savio was sufficiently gracious to reflect our poor experience in the final bill. Given the choice of London restaurants at this price point, you’d be well advised to look elsewhere. It’s really awful.

We stopped in the night before our reservation to make sure the place would be good for a date night pre-theatre meal, since we had to give a credit card to make a reservation. The manager assured us that at 5:30, the place would be quiet and enjoyable. He said we would be seated downstairs, away from the bar. This was not true—the restaurant had a private event tonight so we were seated in the noisy bar where we found the music to be very loud and had to strain to hear one another. We ordered the pre theater dinner and the portions are small. My chicken tikka Marsala was not very good—would not recommend. We are quickly and left, hopefully never to return.

I had the Thali (only £14.99) which had four dishes, rice and a sweet. My wife had sea bass. Beautifully cooked and tasty. We also had their speciality teas which were very high quality. Friendly staff and pleasant surroundings

My friends and I had a great time at the private dining room in Farzi for my friends 30th! I’m vegan and the waiters were so accommodating, checking with the chef what adjustments could be made. I had the cauliflower to start, aubergine curry with rice and roti for the main, plus poppadom and chutney and it was all unreal! We also had some delicious welcome cocktails! Highly recommend

Fantastic private dining experience with friends to celebrate a 30th birthday. Food was delicious and staff were attentive. Set menu provided lots of sharing plates enabling us to taste a variety of flavours which worked very well together. Portions were generous and we left feeling great. I will be returning!

This is a really great place. Every dish was outstanding: spicy chicken pakora, wonderfully crunchy and delicious spinach & kale chaat, succulent baby goat kheema masala, perfectly spiced, and great rawa prawns. For pre-theatre, perfect as service was very efficient and with a smile. Drinks are a little pricey, but all is forgiven for the best Indian food we have tasted for a long while. We will be back.

Walked without any expectations and absolutely enjoyed the food. We were waiting for the theatre to open an ordered a parda biryani it was delicious and a generous portion enough for both of us. We look forward to returning again.

Average given the price. Nothing particularly bad, but given the price the food quality was about average and nothing really stood out as wow, as you would hope for somewhere charging £50/head. On the face of it the decor looks ornate and impressive, but actually when you looked closer the wood panelling looked tired, and in places may have had black mould on the edges of the mouldings. The atmosphere was also somehow cold and lacking warmth and class — it is possible this was due to a poor choice of lighting, mostly overhead and cold in temperature, and not enough side lighting and of a warmer colour temperature. It was also actually cold! It is not clear why the air conditioning would be on and set to such a low temperature in October. It was too cold for my 74 year old mother, but eventually they did provide a small space heater, which greatly improved things. The staff were friendly and helpful — i.e. with the space heater —and the manager honoured the price I was quoted online, which disagreed with the price in the menu in the restaurant.

Its closed. Thank heavens. Dirty place. Oily food. Hideous. Had a photo of Princess Diana in the window so as to lure in punters. In the photo Diana is running away from this place.

The idea is interesting, small plates but interesting and very well cooked. Staff are helpful and knowledgeable which is a very big plus. We've been a couple of times and will go again.

I had an incredible dining experience at Royal India in Covent Garden. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a beautifully authentic atmosphere that set the tone for a memorable meal. The staff was attentive and friendly, making excellent recommendations tailored to our tastes. The food was truly exceptional—each dish was rich, flavorful, and expertly spiced, capturing the true essence of Indian cuisine. The butter chicken was silky and packed with flavor, while the biryani was aromatic and perfectly balanced. Whether you’re a fan of Indian cuisine or just looking to try something new, Royal India is a must-visit. This is easily one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to in London, and I can’t wait to return!
