Visiting family we popped in for lunch 😋 had fish & chips which was amazing 😋fish was white batter lovely & crispy 😋 washed down with a Guinness 😋 Highly Recommend 🙋🏻‍♂️ Thank you 😊

***Update as I can’t reply directly to your response *** Please provide a timestamp of your cctv footage because I don’t believe you’re telling the truth. It was 2.15pm as I came directly from work (finished at 2pm and it’s a 15 min walk away). Please do not accuse me of being a liar to save face. Your times on your website are wildly inaccurate and you should include a disclaimer if that is in fact the case. came in at 2.20pm for lunch - a friend lives nearby so thought I’d grab something to eat before visiting as I’m looking at moving here also. The woman was beyond rude to me as I sat down and informed me the kitchen is shut and it always closes at 2.30 (even tho I was before this time) I even suggested I could just get some chips if that was easier and she just said crisps or nuts that’s it. I told her I’d seen on the website and the menu that the lunch options and menu looked to be at least open until 3pm but she just said well it’s not. I was super shocked at how rude and u welcoming she was - I expected a country warming pub but all I got was rude and unacceptable behaviour. It’s a shame as I was super looking forward to eating here and it becoming a local spot but it’s really put me off.

Great place. Booked a table for 8 adults and 2 toddlers for Sunday for a family birthday. Was asked for a rough pre order as Sunday was aleady busy. Everything was great on the day. Food was delicious as always and the staff were great. Thank you

Lovely place staff were friendly and helpful. We had the Turkey roast, the veg and the potatoes were delicious. For pudding I had the cookie brownie with ice cream it was amazing! Will definitely return

Visiting a friend for the weekend. Found this lovely place the Hotdog was so tasty. Hopefully we will be back again soon. The staff were friendly. The fudge cake was amazing

The Landlords are very friendly and polite the pub itself is very clean and food was absolutely amazing. I couldn’t recommend the pub enough cannot wait to go back here.

Great service and food/drink, we stopped before going to Reading match, we got a bus from outside and returned after game for a quick drink(parked outside in a lay by), the lady behind bar was so helpful and friendly spending time with us advising which bus, times etc , we will be returning when next in the area, thankyou

Popped in whilst passing through with my husband. The roast was top notch and my husband was so impressed with how they kept their ales he got chatting to the landlord Pete. Great service all round from him and his team. Decent selection of gins too!! Will definitely go back if in the area again

Booked the table the night before by email which was acknowledged. On arrival table for 4 reserved in nice place by window. Ordered two pints of Courages and a lager. The cask ale was in good condition. The young barman handled the food orders very efficiently and delivered it to table. Straight no nonsense pub food and good prices.

A nice local pub with good actually affordable prices. Go there fairly often for just a drink or a quick lunch. Also they have steak night on Thursdays and that is well worth it.

Another good night at the Farriers with my mates. By far the most reasonably priced food of any pub in the area and also as ever the portions were large,well cooked and piping hot, especially the fish and chips with the fish portion that big it hung over either side of the plate. The beers are well kept and reasonably hence the crowded pub on Friday night . If you want to eat in the evening I would always advise to reserve a table as they can all be taken up by 7pm . A basic old fashioned village pub with good food....

Hello, Took this opportunity to add a bit of context into the response by "The Manager". It has been myself who has been challenged and could provide not only a single ID but rather offered to show a British driving licence, but that was declined - I suspect reasons, but do not feel they should be mentioned since they do not change the opinion at all. I would not recommend this place, based on how we were treated and although I could provide further proof, feel that there is no point to do so as there are better places and breweries in the area where we felt welcomed and well treated on multiple occasions. Cracking little boozer, beers good and the staff are lovely particularly Paul (affectionately nicknamed the big fella) he pours a cracking pint and always goes the extra mile for his punters.

The Farriers Arms is well worth a visit. We enjoyed an evening meal here for 6 and it was very good pub grub. The burgers are all very tasty - the cowboy burger and southern fried chicken burgers were very tasty and the ultimate burger was a delicious challenge. Drinks were good and service was very prompt and friendly.

Very good birthday meal with family and friends. Google said the pub was dog friendly but it’s not. I arrived with my dog and had to take him back home my dog was very anxious, not a great start to the evening.

Always nice atmosphere and lovely food enjoyed very much. WILL RETURN.

Found this little pub while passing through. We only popped in for a drink but ended up staying for food as the menu looked great. Food wasn't delayed, served hot and was delicious. Will pop back next time we visit family close by.

Great spot visited a while back and the service was good but been in recently and the service received from maysie was exceptional. She really lifts the atmosphere and pub on the whole. Fully deserves a good tip if you ever visit!

Local pub with a garden. Quite traditional. Curry night - less than £10 for a choice of 4 curries with rice, naan, chutney, papadum and a drink, which included a pint of lager or cider, a glass of wine or soft drink. Great value. First class crispy chips. Satisfactory steak, mushroom, tomato and peas. We took a very large picnic table outside, amply big enough for 6 - good to find tables to fit a large group. Friendly, efficient service.

Looking for somewhere for a quick bite to eat after a long day in Legoland. This was just the ticket. Friendly staff and a homely feel had us all feeling like it was our local. They managed to fit us in a short notice and the food was lovely.

Beautiful evening - filthy garden Granted they are redoing bathrooms - but all the more reason to keep it neat Ordered some food because we were starving Fish and chips - chips and peas great - batter on the fish tasted 4 weeks old Bacon and Chicken salad was reasonable - but when asked for some dressing a pot of olive oil was provided Followed Google for the rating - you seriously got it wrong!

A wicked little pub run by Karen and Pete that in my opinion beats any of the other local establishments hands down. The food is always delivered hot and fresh from the kitchen and has not been left on the side to come out 5 minutes later like other pubs. A good drinks selection too. Keep it up guys.

Newly refurbished. Food is very reasonable and well prepared. Nice atmosphere and good service. Consistency in their delicious food is my experience. Never had a bad steak, alway juicy and taste delicious. Great menu variety. Good quality at great prices. Ideal for a quite meal or a group. Cozy atmosphere.

Staff are always friendly and very welcoming, management team are 5*. I hope to pop back in again soon!

We have visited the farriers arms on several occasions and felt we had to leave a review, the staff are so friendly and welcoming every time we visit, the food has been delicious every time, I can’t name a dish in particular as everyone has been tasty, hot and reasonably priced, keep doing what you are doing you are all a credit to the team!
