Located at the end of Rosedale, take the Rosedale East road, and when you come to a dead end you're there. All the seating is outside although there is a shelter if the weather is unkind.A simple menu of home-made sandwiches and cakes, and Yorkshire tea and coffee.Apart from the welcome and the food what makes this place special is the view, right down Rosedale.Apart from bank holidays it's closed Monday and Tuesdays.

Have had Pignut on my radar for a while and we came in for a family lunch over Easter. It was a wonderful meal - very friendly and knowledgeable staff who are clearly passionate about their work. Especially interesting but tasty wine choices.

What a lovely little restaurant . Visited with my wife to celebrate our 45th.wedding anniversary . We were staying in Pickering and selected this bistro from reviews on tripadvisor . It is a very intimate restaurant with a small but varied food and drinks menu .The service was excellent with the owner and other serving staff. The home made bread and tapenade as an amuse bouche was very nice . We chose scallops and beef feather for starters .My scallops were perfectly cooked , my wife loved the beef feather which was a suprising dish. For mains I had duck and my wife had steak , both were perfectly cooked and presented , accompanied by perfect vegetables . Finished off the meal with the cheese board , nice cheese , chutney , crackers , grapes , apple and other fruits.Home made fudge was a lovely touch at the end of our meal . We would recommend this bistro to anyone in the area , who would like to enjoy a perfect meal .Thank you to all at the Willowgate bistro for making our anniversary that bit more special.

This is our second visit in two days! Lovely food and excellent service. We will definitely come again. We had soup and cheese scone. The bread and scones were home made.
