The Old Schoolhouse Deli & Bakery in Ryedale

This is a wonderful place. The staff are lovely and always take care of me and my cycling buddies when we're out this way. Amazing food.

Lovely place with great food, friendly staff and in a beautiful location

Lovely little spot. Just what was needed in the middle of a long ride.

We arrived at Hutton le Hole at 4.30pm after walking through four hours of heavy rain. We were delighted to find The Old School House Deli and Bakery open and received a wonderfully warm welcome there. It really lifted us both, and transformed our afternoon. We had delicious cake and scones, and were very impressed with the range of baked goods on offer (including pastries). The woman behind the counter was very friendly and generous to a fault. Highly recommended!!!

Great little place serving hot latte and delicious cakes. Also light snacks/ toasties. Can't fault it.

Tried out this lovely cafe. Really nice menu and delicious food. Lovely to have a small gift/shop section where I purchased some unique birthday cards. Would definitely visit again

Good menu choice for a nice lunch at reasonable prices. Exceptional service - friendly, efficient and went out of their way to make sure we could personalise our order and not lose out because of it. This business gets what good customer service is, which is so unusual these days.

Very friendly host and fabulous coffee! Can't mark the food as we didn't try it this time, but it did look very tempting... Next time !

Nice little tea room, lovely home made pies and scones.

Delightful cafe/deli in the old school building, at the top of the village, opposite the road to the public car park. It does have it's own small parking area and some outdoor seating. We received a warm welcome and enjoyed a lovely cuppa and a sandwich. We also bought some pies and other goodies to take home. Super place but could do with a few more tables and chairs inside. I know space is limited so a bit of creativeness will be needed.

Just tucking in to the chocolate tarts we got to take away today and WOW, so so lovely! We visited this lovely cafe and deli today and thoroughly enjoyed our food - the baguettes were freshly baked and so crispy! The owner was so lovely and nothing was too much trouble; will definitely visit again next time we're in the area

Friendly, welcoming and very pleased it was still open and serving drink and cake 20 minutes before closing, thank you! Has some outdoor seating to the front and also space for a couple of cars to park up. Reasonably priced. Great tea selection. Has milk alternatives. Has interesting deli products for sale. Homemade carrot cake with pistachio icing, really yummy and delicious. Yep, I would revisit.

Always fabulous food and service. Great menu choices and excellent value. Very 'biker friendly', easily the best in the area. Very highly recommended.

Omg if I know the cheese scones tasted so Devine I would of bought half a dozen of them and the lemon and blackberry cake bloody delicious the lady give us an extra piece which was left much to our delight great service will definitely will be back just a shame we had already eaten in the other cafe before hand which was not up to much as the savoury pastry’s looked very tempting

Ordered a hot steak bake, not a single piece of steak and the filling was cold. Staff were nice though

I’ve been working in village for a few days bacon butty’s generous and lovely, tuna melt to die for, warm scones butter jam clotted cream magic. Excellent cakes with dollop of ice cream spot on. staff welcoming and friendly spot on felt at home.

The scones were awful, we asked for butter but got terrible margarine, service wasn't good. Kids liked the Ice cream.

A lovely cafe in the pretty village of Hutton Le Hole. Proper homemade cakes, refreshing tea and dog friendly. It was a pleasant change to have cakes not covered in frosting.

Stopped off for coffee, very friendly service, cakes etc looked amazing & I must say the coffee was the best I have had in a long time.

Stopped here for lunch, lovely baguettes, staff allowed me to choose fillings off menu which was really great. Amazing staff, incredibly friendly. Would highly recommend!

She really is a top notch baker. The Cornish pastie were tried by 8 of us when I got home and everyone agreed: best they ever had, no question. The scone was the same, superb. The lemon cake was so moist and actual tasted of lemon rather than just sugar. Chorizo sausage roll was to die for. I'll will definitely be stopping in whenever I'm passing.

Delightful cafe just yards from the official moorland car park. Cakes and scones made frechly on the premises. Good selection of pies and sausage rolls. Where else in the world can you get a hot drink of tea or coffee and a scone with cream and jam for less than a fiver.

This has to be one of the best cafés in the area. This is because of the quality of the food; both the cakes and pastries baked by Sarah, and the sandwiches that she makes to order. She sells an amazing array of artisan bread too. But the cakes are exceptional, especially the caramel brownies. I had two in one day (two visits on a circular bike ride) and I may have accidentally discovered a third type of diabetes! Really motorbike-friendly, it's the best cafe to start a ride around the moors, or finish with on the way home. Or both!

A really pleasant little Deli/cafe in a beautiful village. The pasty and pie that we had were top notch and a lovely tea. Inside seating was limited so you may struggle at busy times.

Only stopped for a quick coffee but the range of homemade cakes and pastries looked lovely (wished we hadn't already had lunch) really friendly welcoming staff , really nice place to stop.

Amazing cakes and excellent quality home baked food. Whether it's coming in for a quick coffee, or a sandwich to eat on a walk. I highly recommended this place, and the prices are good too. 👍

We regularly visit this cafe and bakery and have never been disappointed. The welcome is as warm as the coffee, food and bread.

Very friendly lady served me today. I thought nothing was open in the village, but found this place. Lovely pork and caramelised onion roll and coffee. There isn't much room to sit inside, but more than enough for a dull midweek November day. Kept me going on my bike ride. She also offered to refill my water bottle. Thank you.

A lovely deli and bakery in the heart of this ” chocolate box “ village. Very spacious and well laid out, it has a variety of interesting produce. We all went for the ice creams which were top drawer. The lady behind the counter was so friendly and helpful, a true asset to this great little place!

Fabulous coffee and banana cake & Millionaires Shortbread. Sara is so friendly and helpful about the area. All the homemade items look delicious... unfortunately we didn't need anything. Seating is limited which is a shame...but we were lucky to have the two seats indoors by the window. There are seats outside too. Would definitely visit again.

Great coffee and cake, with plenty of gluten-free and vegan options, including vegan roll, Cornish pasty, and pie. Limited seating, with only 2 bench seats inside, and 2 tables outside, but tasty food and coffee.

Great tea and service. Love the homemade sausage roll with black pudding. One of the best i have tried so far!

The Old School House Deli and Bakery a wonderful new addition the village. A small parking area with a little out door seating. The food is of a very high quality and the breads, pastries and cakes are baked on site. Home made pork pies and quiches are amazing. Sandwiches made to order. A range of vegan and gluten free products. Ice cream available. The COFFEE is worth 5* too All of this wonderful food served with a smile from the lovely friendly owner. This is the perfect addition to Hutton Le Hole.

Grabbed a pain au chocolat every day I stayed in Hutton le hole. Was impressed. Tried there scones too, great.
