A mixed bag. We'd heard about Farm & Table locally and wanted to support a local business. A full English, eggs benedict, coke and coffee came to just shy of £40. Which was frankly ridiculous. The menu has a no substitutes policy, which seems reasonable for a small business but an extra slice of bacon was £3? For one slice? The portion size of a breakfast for £15 was tiny, also. Hubby had shell in his eggs and a skin to the house beans. Eggs benedict was ok, but lacked flavour. Waitress was lovely and sweet though and the setting and decor nice. It's just too expensive for what it is and we sadly won't be back.

We went on a busy sunny Sunday morning for brunch. My three friends and I were waiting for another friend to join with her baby and considering how busy it was, they did what they could to get a large table for us downstairs and help with the buggy. Service was quick for how busy it was, food was delicious and I’d say fairly priced for the quality. Couldn’t fault the food and drinks. The farm shop strawberries looked and smelt incredible and a lot of the fruit and veg were some of the largest I’d ever seen. Would highly recommend and definitely return :)

Delicious food, Had the beef roast dinner. The meat was tender, crispy roast potatoes and the Yorkshire pudding was amazing. Only thing id say, is only a small amount of cauliflower in the cauliflower cheese (ordered as a side dish) but it was still very tasty!

Update: We had our first lunch here today. The RUBEN sandwich was absolutely the best thing I’ve eaten in the UK so far. Honestly I’m gonna be craving this sandwich. We also had the chicken caesar salad which was delicious. We drive from Birmingham just to eat here. That says a lot about the quality of the food and staff, I admit I’m hard to please. Updated response to owner: I understand that you wish to cover for your employees, but turning this around on your customers and stating we were rude and disrespectful to your staff is despicable. I would be more than happy, and even request, for you to post & share the CCTV recording of the event on your socials, but I can guarantee you would be too ashamed to do so. In fact, please do send it to me so I can share our experience online. My takeaway coffee cup from Starbucks was empty and I brought it in to throw it in the bin before having lunch with my family. Maybe I am in the wrong for that, too. Your staff member was incredibly hostile to myself and my wife for absolutely no reason at all and did not inform us that you were closing in half an hour and couldn’t have lunch. Although I’m very pleased we didn’t. Original post: We live locally in Middleton Cheney and I took the afternoon off work to take my wife and our baby out for some lunch. We were told about Farm & Table by some friends of ours and we were looking forward to having a nice meal here. However, we didn’t even get as far as sitting down. We were greeted by one of the most obnoxious members of staff I’ve ever met. We’ll never know if the food was any good as we turned around and walk straight out and will never return. Farm & Table, I would think carefully about your hiring as bad word spreads faster than good.

My first time here and it won't be my last, as the food is excellent. On Friday and Saturday nights the menu is tapas based, with a good selection and generous portions. Food: We had breakfasts (full one and super one), overall the quality of the food was good and on the larger side of portion sizing, coffee was average. The only gripe was a rather long hair in mine. I natually made them aware, I did finish the rest, so we agree'd on a % off for some compensation. They claimed it was thier supplier, I shall leave it with them, obviously I can't do much more than acknowledge my experience. Service: We were greeted and served as expected, no problems there. Atmosphere (decor, etc): Obviously has that farm feel with the use of brick, wood, etc, which is nice. Atmosphere (Staff): Somebody wasn't happy today, as an elevanted voice (sounded a French) kept making an appearance in the air, with very critical tones. The kitchen is open to the tables so the sound travels well.....use your loaf a little (pun intended) with such an arragement. We all have off days, and maybe today was one for someone, but personally i've learnt to do it in private where applicable.

I was disappointed with the menu. Set in a lovely Located on a farm with extensive farm shop there I was only one dish that had vegetables which was mushrooms and avocado. No vegetable were a side dish or included in any of the other meals available. So I ended up with a (chicken burger) that had salsa and 2 limp leaves of lettuce, encased in a brioche bun. I didn’t eat the brioche or the lettuce I ate the chicken fillets dipped in the salsa. The fries, unfortunately overcooked for skinny fries I ate the edible ones. We shared an avocado side dish which was heavily sprinkled with salt!, maybe some lime juice and some chilli flakes would have made it more edible. This experience could have been so much better and maybe some more consideration taken for vegetarians, and lower carb preferences.

Strange manager. Asked for a takeaway cup outside not allowed. Ordered the last two crossaints (everything else sold out) then it was sold to someone else so only had one. Bought a pastry from shop (this is permissable) but was then interrogated as to where it came from as the manager doesn't like outside food. I would say if the manager, who was obviously observing us had an issue perhaps they should come out themselves instead of hiding behind the 16yo waitress who was obviously embarrassed and nervous to ask us. Also I would say the manager should perhaps focus their time on getting stock levels right rather than trying to catch people out. Oh and finally it's all overpriced. Won't be back.

Went here for breakfast whilst on holiday. When we arrived, we stood around for a few minutes with multiple members of staff ignoring us. The guy making the coffees acknowledged us with a somewhat friendly remark, and we got a table. (I will say, the coffee guy was absolutely run off his feet and seemed stressed). We sat at our table, and after 10 mins, a couple sat at the table next to us. After a further 5 mins, a staff member started taking the other tables' orders. We said something about having been there longer and another staff member served us. We waited 20/25 mins for our food, which was fine, but by the time food came out, we hadn't had our hot drinks, we asked about this, and they arrived 5 minutes later. We noticed several tables dissatisfaction at the wait times for ordering. One table made a bit of a fuss, and one male staff member asked a young female member of staff to take there order, we heard her say "oh, these people, I will try to be polite", very unprofessional and what an attitude when you work in a cafe!! The food was ok as we're the drinks. We wouldn't return due to the attitude of most staff. As I said above, the place was fairly busy, and staff certainly weren't standing around doing nothing but........the staff are quite young and probably need managing. Some of the attitudes were really poor. It was also pretty expensive for what it was.

This is a delightful eatery in a nice location. The food was very tasty. We had the lamb and trio mix roast dinner followed by some delicious icecream. The portion size for the roast was good, although I would have liked more than one carrot. The servers were friendly and efficient. Dogs are welcome and can be treated to doggy ice cream. The only thing I would say needs improving is the upkeep of bits whilst service is going on I.e the cleaning of the toilet (I could only find the one shared toilet) and the replenishing of the free ice water dispenser outside. This isn’t a cheap eatery however, the food is well worth the money so I would recommend here for a nice treat.

It was our first time in Farm and Table, the atmosphere and place itself is very sweet. We ordered an asparagus dish and a Ploughman board, and they were both nice. The service needs improving, our drinks didn't come until we asked for it after food arrived. Everytime we needed to get staff attention, we had to wait, I personally preferred to go to them in the end. I asked for an extra slice of bread(1 slice of cold sourdough cut in half and a cold butter on top) they charged us £2.50 for it!? I believe that was a little excessive. I saw another review written 3 month ago about charging £2.50 for an extra slice of breed, I guess they didn't take the feedback seriously. The restaurant is dog friendly, and there is a balcony section indoors where dogs are not allowed, which is a good separation.

We visited today for a late breakfast, and unfortunately didn’t enjoy the experience despite the food being really nice. I do understand it was busy, however we ordered coffees with our breakfast and had finished our breakfast, still not having received any coffees. The waitress did say there was a backlog making coffees, we waited maybe 15 minutes or more for our food. I’ve never experienced that before and maybe they need to review how they manage the front of house. I personally didn’t appreciate allowing dogs, I had one dog jump up at me whilst eating from another customer. It’s a small restaurant and can get noisy, adding dogs to this is not a great experience. As a suggestion, on the coffee front why not consider having filter coffee on the go for quickness. We only ordered black Americanos, this could have be very quick with a filter coffee option. Farm and Table used to be one of our favourite places to visit for breakfast or lunch, but I’m not sure I’d be returning anytime soon. I’m happy you’re busy and successfully, as the food is amazing, but seem to have outgrown the premises and need more front of house staff. (I also feel I might have been mis-charged or a 10% service charge was added, pretty poor if it was the latter given the coffee situation)

Food is good however I realised I had been overcharged on my order and when I queried it I was told that’s because of the service charge. There is no mention of any service charge on the menu and I was only eating with one friend (who was also charged more than menu prices) If you want to charge extra you should be transparent about it rather than adding fees on and hoping customers don’t notice. Very underhand way of running things. It wouldn’t have been so bad had the service been outstanding. My friend was served and finished her breakfast before mine came out. A glass was smashed on the floor beside us and not cleared properly. Not an issue for me but I had to get up and warn a couple who had come in with their dog in case the dog stepped in the shards of glass.

Came last week for a Sunday roast and was blown away. Absolutely delicious roast dinner. Everyone enjoyed their meal and there probably about 15 of us. Thanks to chef for dealing with our difficultness with some of the group arriving late yet still delivering outstanding food. Very good size as well. Service was just as good as the food and the place was really nice to be in and a cool location too. Price worked out at about £30 per person which isnt that bad considering there were a lot of drinks involved and most of us had a 3 course meal. Cheaper options were available but we splashed out a bit as we’re celebrating 3 people’s birthdays. I would even travel 30 miles to eat there its so good - definitely the best in Banbury and probably a lot of Oxfordshire/Northamptonshire. I also ordered orange juice, I was a bit disappointed because I thought it would come freshly squeezed but it was still far better than other store bought ones. They also have a shop for you to buy things from veggies to meat. Obviously they are a bit pricey because they are from the farm, but if you prefer organic I recommend you to visit the shop.

By far the best breakfast I have ever had! Amazing service, staff genuinely seem happy to be there, dining area is well decorated, the atmosphere is very pleasant, plenty of parking, good stop for bikers (be courteous and keep noise down) Could not recommend a better place for breakfast!

Great place for a cocktails and tapas evening. The food is delicious, authentic tapas style and flavors. The service was very attentive all night and accommodating for dietary requirements (gluten free).

Hidden gem. I came across this great place when I googled the best place for breakfast in Banbury and it was on the list. Its a lovely working farm with a deli as well(a bit expensive though. The deli) The restaurant/cafe has outside space in the courtyard as well

Traditional rustic pub offering drinks, restaurant, and rooms. Advertises a fine selection of cask ales, craft beers, locally sourced food, and Clumsy Goat coffee. Dog friendly. Five tables and wicker chairs on a patio at the front. Attentive service. Only gripe was seven people in the pub side, five sat spaced out at the bar like it’s their place, giving you the look that you’re the inconvenience trying to get served.

Fantastic service and super friendly staff. Extra help to find me a gluten free sweet treat 🥰 as they had none of my favourite lemon cake. Thank you so much.
