Surprised by the good reviews. While the pasta is edible, starters of burata and the salad side were truly horrible. Burata is just a mozzarella ball with old basil leaves under it and salad was just strange. Tacky and cheap with bad music too.

My family with total of 14 pax. We had a delightful Lunch at Sandro's. The restaurant itself was cozy, well-decorated with a lovely atmosphere. The food was excellent. We particularly enjoyed all the pastas and pizzas. Everything tasted fresh and authentic. And the real standout was the staffs and owner. They're very friendly, engaging, hospitable. We will definitely be back for our next time in Glasgow.

Was in town for the weekend and were looking for places to eat and stopped in to Sandro’s. We were greeted upon entry and we given a table quickly. The server was quick and very polite. We ordered our food and it came out very quickly and wow the flavor on the pastas that we both ordered was fantastic. Highly recommend stopping by and getting some pasta or pizza!

A truly fantastic experience. Sublime mains, coffees and desserts. Servers were friendly and attentive without intruding. Would recommend as a local who can say it’s among Glasgow’s finest establishments.

We’ve been multiple times and the pizzas are unreal. So accommodating with a dairy allergy, and the home made ketchup is unreal! Food always delicious, cannot recommend enough.

Frank was very attentive and had a positive attitude the whole time we stayed. We were a large party without a reservation and he was very accommodating. We also didn’t feel rushed as there was such a big party.

Great experience and great service was very good food and frank was very nice and gave us free tiramisu, very yummy. Would come again.

We are tourists visiting Glasgow, so we didn't know anything about this restaurant, but decided to give it a try. It was a wonderful experience. We got a ham and mushroom pizza, drinks, and pistachio cheesecake. Everything was delicious. I especially liked the strawberry daiquiri and the cheesecake. We hope to return for the pasta!

A Hidden Gem Opposite Kelvin Grove – A Truly Special Experience We visited Sandro’s on Good Friday before a (fantastic!) visit to Kelvin Grove Museum, and what a lovely experience it was from start to finish. We arrived half an hour early in the rain, not realising the restaurant didn’t open until 12 – but the staff were so kind and welcoming. They invited us in out of the rain while we waited for the kitchen to open. That kind of hospitality really sets the tone. Once we ordered, we were blown away by the food. The pizzas were absolutely incredible – proper Italian, beautifully made, and full of flavour. Between myself, my sister, and my daughter, we were all in agreement: these were some of the best pizzas we’ve had. The place was spotless, the atmosphere relaxed and authentic, and the service was genuinely brilliant – friendly, attentive, and warm. It’s rare to find a place that gets everything so right, but Sandro’s really did. Would absolutely recommend, and we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Glasgow. Thank you for a lovely lunch!

Impeccable service! Ordered the pizza capricciosa and the crust is fluffy with very aromatic flavors from the sugo and mozzarella di bufala. The beef ragu rigatoni is awesome! Don’t forget about their desserts too!

In search of a good pizza after a walk through the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum? Then this is the place – literally right across the street, so you don't have to make a pilgrimage. Here you will find the taste of real Neapolitan pizza, with fresh ingredients and solid Italian vibes. You can choose to enjoy it in their cozy restaurant, or do like me: grab it as take away and find a spot in the park - art for the stomach after art for the eyes. I went with a classic ham and mushroom and it tasted great! The only minus was that the bottom sometimes stole a little too much attention - like that colleague who always interrupts. All in all: For the price, it's definitely worth recommending.

Fantastic experience! If you are looking for real Italian food Sandro's is the right place! Very kind Italian owner and excellent food. Delicious Neapolitan pizza cooked in a wood oven. My father took a generous platter and my mother a generous plate of pasta cooked just right. And finally a real espresso coffee! If you are around Glasgow it is worth stopping to eat here!

Accidentally found this gem for lunch on my first day visiting Glasgow. The staff is incredibly kind, food is outstanding, and prices are very reasonable. After finishing our first pizza we immediately wanted another. We ended up ordering dessert instead which was also satisfying and delicious!

We went here on a whim, and I’m so glad we did. The food was authentic and so delicious. The owner was so genuine and we had a lovely conversation. We were able to get two pizzas for less than 25 pounds. I’ll definitely be returning.

My wife and I had pizza to take away on Friday and it was sensational. This spot is right on our doorstep and for the past couple of months the pizza has been getting better and better! 😋 HIGHLY recommend the Diavola and the Four Cheese!

Really awful experience on pretty much every level. The pizzas were chewy and oily, the server was passive aggressive, even the tapwater smelled really weird. I don't understand the positive reviews for this place. Don't be deceived by the nice location, go somewhere else.

Went in for an unexpected dinner and was pleasantly surprised by incredible host and amazing pizza, would definitely recommend for anyone local or passing through. Tiramisu was the best I’ve had.

My boyfriend and I spent a very pleasant evening with another couple of our Italian friends. As an Italian and Apulian, I can say that this is certainly one of the most authentic places in Glasgow. You can see that the selection of ingredients and wines is not random and is of quality. The pizzas were really tasty and well cooked, great Neapolitan style pizzas. The ragù (NOT Bolognese, but the Neapolitan/Apulian ragù!) reminded me a lot of the one my grandmother made at home and this is not something to be taken for granted, because until now in Glasgow I have not found any place where they cook the ragù so faithfully. To top it all off, Alessandro was very nice and made the evening more pleasant with a bit of healthy chat. I felt very at home. We will definitely be back. :)

Everything was amazing. We wandered in here by suprise and this was the best suprise. The food was fantastic and the waiter was so welcoming. We kept waiting for something to not be a perfect 10/10 but everything exceeded expectations, the food, the drinks, the desserts and coffee. Absolutely amazing We’ll be back

The pizza is incredible and authentic Neopolitan style. The owner is a great guy and very attentive, he takes a lot of pride in his work. Best pizza in Glasgow by far. I would also recommend the Tiramisu! We go at least once a week for either a date night or a quick takeaway service.

best meal we had all trip! lovely and full of light even on the dreary day we were there, decorated tastefully and comfortable. Service was amazing from the moment we walked in, so friendly. I had a delicious carbonara, and my husband loved his funghi and sausage penne. We'd just gotten off at the wrong bus stop and popped in, but it'd be a great place for an espresso and desert after the Kelvingrove as well :) plenty of vegetarian options too!

Popped in today for a late lunch with my husband and 2 teenagers. Lovely friendly service and really great food at a very reasonable price. My youngest has an eating disorder and we'd already taken him elsewhere for something he could eat but he proceeded to ask for and devour a plate of pasta too (very rare for him!). Just an all around lovely dining experience, sitting eating perfect al dente pasta, looking out at the kelvingrove. 5 stars, we'll definitely be back.

Hi, I visited Sandro's for lunch with my dad and 2 year old daughter. The food, service and atmosphere was exceptional. Value for money also very good. The owner (Sandro) made us feel very welcome and made such an effort to interact with us as well as my 2 year old daughter which made the experience even better. Overall I would recommend this restaurant to friends and family and I can't wait to return - the hot and spicy pizza was yummy! :)

Came across this delightful family run Italian restaurant right across the street from the Kelvingrove. We both had cheese related appetizers, caprese and Bufalla, perhaps the best I have had. Potato and sausage pizza was excellent and the service lovely. These 🇨🇦 would return.

Very friendly personal and attentive, asking if everything is ok, bringing extra cheese... Compared to higher star restaurants I would give the food a 8/10. The arancini are good and pasta was cooked al dente.

We had taken advantage of the ITISON deal £29 for a pasta pizza and a bottle of wine, and I must say, what a great find this restaurant is. Friendly staff authentic Italian food and a pretty good red wine considering the value for money deal. It's always a good sign to see other Italians using an Italian restaurant which gives an indication of how authentic this place is. I hadn't downloaded my ITISON coupon properly so I didn't have the code, but the manager kindly offered me the same deal at the same price as the offer, which was above and beyond, so thank you for that. All in all we'd highly recommend Sandro's for food, service, and ambience, with a perfect setting overlooking the Kelvingrove art gallery, what''s not to like.

Nice pizza forgot the Sugo on the pizza which is stated on the menu, then family members asked for sugo also but wasn’t on it. Apart from these errors overall friendly services

I’m in love!! Carbonara was probably the best I ate in my life, was prepared in really Italian way with egg yolk. Pizza was also delicious. Place is really nice and I will come back for sure 🥰

Very nice experience. Food was lovely, various options but not too much to bamboozle you. Very reasonably priced as well, around £25 a person for 2 drinks and 2 courses. Staff were very friendly, chatty, and helpful. To quote my son, "best pizza he's ever had!" We will definitely be back.

Sandro's is a lovely family run pizzeria with very good quality pizza and a friendly atmosphere. The restaurant also sells fresh baked products such as bread. Staff is very polite, friendly and makes you feel at home.

I visited Sandros for the first time after I was recommended by several friends, and it was incredible! The atmosphere is lovely, and the whole experience, from the amazing food to the friendly staff, was fantastic. All I can say is... if you want a pizza like in Italy, THIS is the place! Take it from me that I am Italian ;)

Popped in with my son, was middle afternoon and we got seated quickly and served fast, he got the pizza which he couldn't finish, I got the rigatoni carbonara and it was phenomenal.

WONDERFUL, warm and YUMMY! We walked in reluctantly with coffee we had just bought somewhere else and apologized for being rude. They greeted us warmly as though they were still happy to see us. The food was delicious even though my stomach was small from jet lag and I wasn’t feeling too well. They are so observant, noticed I went to the rest room, checked in with me, offered me hot water for comfort and were so lovingly hospitable, I left feeling much better than when I first walked in. THANK YOU ALESANDRO!!! So personable and charming! Bravo!!! Mille grazie!
