Waited 1 hour 40 mins for my order. The meal itself was poor and disappointing. Most of the chips were scraps and hard. The fish did not taste fresh. Ate about a quarter of it and binned the rest. A waste of money.

Originally ordered at 18:15 and it said it would be 25-40 minutes the food wasn’t received until 19:55, and it was cold. Nightmare sitting in waiting on it all this time, really disappointing. I would like a full refund!

I have known this Genaros chippy for years we called in an order for 1.30 for a group at the Temple shafton youth project and I picked it up food was lovely everyone enjoyed it clean plates thank u so much all in order was £66 well worth the money

the app said it was ready for collection but when i went into the shop it hadn't all been made up yet. i ordered 2 rolls and only got one. the breaded haddock was not fresh at all, was at least several days old.

Chips weren't as good as usual, fish lovely, disappointingly late.

Brilliant service and delicious food

£1 for a roll. Just a roll, nothing in it. 10 p for butter on the roll. The fish wasn't haddock, I think it was cod, yuck ! And the chips weren't cooked enough and very greasy. I would not recommend.

Best fish and chips ever! Had several meals from here while visiting my Mum at Gartnavel Hospital. The fish and chips have been top notch every single time. My Mum who has not been eating much has always managed to eat some of the chips. The fish is perfectly cooked in nice crispy batter, every time. Highly recommended!

Mini breaded haddock, chips and pickled onion. The chips and onion were great, but unfortunately the haddock coating was dark and dry like a re-heat. I appriciate my order was small and late in the evening, but the expected quality was not there.

We order from Gennaro's quite often and really enjoy their food. They have a wide variety of food on offer and its always hot when delivered. I have never had any reason to complain. Great shop.

I didn’t give a 5* rating this time as we were let down by the chips. They were dry and cold as if they had been lying about for a while. Completely tasteless. However the fish was amazing. Huge flakes of fish in a tasty crispy batter. Piping hot. Next order I will ask for freshly made chips. Still the best chippy around.

Ordered a 2 piece fish supper with chips. Being pensioners, the portions were enough for both of us. Chips exceptional, fish to die for. Lots of thick flakes of tasty fish and yummy crispy batter. Best we have ever tasted. We have eventually found the best chippy. 5*

Most awful food. Kebab meat was as tough as leather, battered burger horrible. We have been ordering from here for quite a while, I’ll be honest, that was the last time tonight. There’s been a couple of bad deliveries that we overlooked, but not anymore, wasted £26 odds, time to look for a new, good food chippy

Homemade Mac cheese was excellent. Good size portion. Black pudding had a lovely spicy taste with a fresh batter. Chips were fab. The best we have had in years. Our new local now. 5*

Love the staff and place but ordered tonight and the chicken pakora was dry and over-cooked for 8quid! The pizza was under-cooked almost like dough. Wasn’t cheap with all the add on fees etc so extremely disappointed

Food was inedible, hamburger was cold and hard as a rock. Chips freezing and order was about 20 mins late. Cannot even get a refund, all I was offered was account credit of £3 when the order was £13.

Worst fish and chips I have ever had! CHIPS WERE HARD AND FISH TASTED BURNT! This was on Friday 10:48pm. The woman was very nice but the manager with a weird moustache (John) very rude. Called him on Monday Saying that your line wasn’t working on Friday (he stated that he closed at 11pm). He said he can’t do anything 2 days later, I said I have photo evidence of the calls and pictures. Would not recommend at all!

We've visited this chippy on a couple of occasions when we've been passing through Glasgow and have always had the best food. We called this afternoon after having a drive up to Largs and made a detour to go here. Wish we had never bothered. The chips were fine, the batter on our fish and our haggis was awful. Thick and rubbery, not even sure how they got it to that consistency! Needless to say, we won't be making any more detours to go here.

Travelling late at night after finishing a course in northern Scotland, there wasn’t much open in the Anniesland area (and I was starving)! Fortunately, underneath the ‘currently closed’ platform two stairs, Gennaro’s was still very much in full flow. Located on Great Western Road and a short walk from Anniesland Cross, this was a Chippy i’ve never tried before and i’ve been living in the area for 18 months. We normally pop into the Chip Chik Inn due to location. Overall however, a great experience! There wasn’t a lot to choose from given the time of night but I managed to order Chicken Pakora and Chips (or a Pakora Supper). Five decent sized strips of Pakora, which were still tender, and a generous portion of Chips cooked to perfection, with a little bit of crispiness to them. All topped off with a good, mild Chilli Sauce, which was about the right heat for the time of night (I was in bed twenty minutes later). I’ll definitely be back here - quality Chippy food right on my doorstep. Hopefully choose something from a packed food warmer at a more sociable time.

I asked for a jumbo sausage supper and the staff member serving laughed and called me gay. Do not expect to experience this level of homophobia in this day and age. I expect a sincere apology otherwise i will be forced to take this further as i believe this is a hate crime.

When you're paying for the extortionate prices for mediocre food. Unfortunately you need to leave a review. (1) Chicken Pakora (5 Small pieces) £7.80 I have to mention you don't paid these prices to eatin restaurants, example my local Chillies Hawthorn Street & Bawarchi in Anniesland. Also my local takeway you get 16 pieces each of fresh Veg £6 & Chicken £9 odds..plus two different sauces I believe this is the average prices between Anniesland-Clydebank area.

This used to be such a good fish and chip shop, but not these days, I’m sorry to say. For the past three visits, the fish (haddock) has been thin and covered in far too much batter. Worst of all, it was swimming in oil, so much that the cardboard boxes were soggy with oil. Chips were good, though, so it’s two stars instead of one. The shop itself seems to be organised around meeting demand for Just Eat and other similar delivery companies. Inevitably there is less care and attention given to the food preparation, and what used to be a highly regarded fish and chip shop is now just another very ordinary chippy. It’s also expensive, which was fine when the quality was very good, but now it’s not worth it. So after many years of my family treating themselves at Gennaro’s, we’ll be going elsewhere from now on.

No grease proof paper like usually provided. It wasn’t very pleasant to have all the food inside the cardboard box as it stuck.

Very disappointed with this delivery, ordered a single fish and a special fish supper, the special fish in particular was overcooked and practically inedible, paid extra for this special fish and I was very disappointed, every time I order anything from Gennarros that has batter on it, I don’t know who is doing the frying but everything always turns up too overcooked for me. I like Gennarros but unlikely to order anything from here again.

sadly macaroni cheese, tasted like out of a tin. pizza stuck to the box and was soggy. For a take away that normally so good this was very disappointing
