Estaba sucio y huele de algas. Wc estaba sucia y la música no era genial. Sólo vinieron a ver a mi amigo, o yo no me quedaría.

Yo y un montón de chicas salieron en un viernes para cumpleaños de un amigo, tuvimos la noche más increíble! Las bebidas eran geniales y buenos precios también comparar a otros lugares. El personal era muy agradable y amable. Me encantó la decoración! No puedo conseguir en ningún otro lugar, y así propicia para la zona. Seguro que volveremos! Seguid así! ! Xx

No vienen aquí para las bebidas. El camarero literalmente se sacudía de una copa de alcohol para dos la pena Long Island Té Helado. Un gusto y yo no pude ni probar nada sin mencionar la bebida es pequeño y 2 salieron a 17 libras. 90! Después de un 5 libras de gastos este lugar no vale la pena. Prueba otro lugar hay mucho alrededor.

Bien, viajo a América muy a menudo, así que estaba interesado en ver esta "Nueva York" en el bar de Londres. Después de ir allí, me enamoré de este es una mala representación de Nueva York. La comida estaba bien, nada especial y yo acabamos elegido porque no podía en realidad comer sin pensar si los platos estaban realmente limpias. Mi punto principal era que las bebidas estaban muy sobre precios y aguadas. Yo bebo, así que sé que mi licor y no me impresionó la Jägerbombs por £5 y muy aguadas y totalmente inaceptable, no hacer una reclamación, pero el personal del bar a mí y me dijo ok y se fue. Servicio de atención al cliente no era aceptable y que no vamos a volver aquí.

Good vibes , good music for the first half, nice atmosphere. A really good night out. Only downer one bar so forever to order.

This place has a lot going for it. Very versatile venue. Food, gaming, music, cinema and ping pong, giant connect 4 and jenga etc. It is a charming venue. I recommend it highly.

**MOUSE** Upon entering the restaurant I couldn't fault it , it looks cool and a decent scene. However it seems what is beneath the surface that is pretty disgusting. During our meal we saw a MOUSE running across the restaurant floor and under the sofa and table area we were sat at! It wasn't particularly busy and so I didn't intend to make a fuss or a big scene so I went to one of the waiters and I informed him that there was a mouse just sitting literally with us at our table. Obviously put off by this I couldn't continue to enjoy my meal I for sure was not going to eat any more ! It then took 10 minutes for someone to come to our table to ask if we were ok and if there was anything they can do? Annoyingly I had already paid via Groupon so apparently there was 'nothing the waitress can do' apart from Offer us something??? As if I was going to eat or drink anything else in the restaurant ?? Seriously?? To make matters worse upon our departure the waiter came over and said 'sorry, I seen them before, the come out the kitchen!!!' I mean for god sake, how can you continue to serve PEOPLE food if you have a vermin problem. This is one for environmental health I think! I will also be requesting a refund from Groupon advising them of what we encountered at the 'restaurant'. I have emailed the restaurant and contacted Groupon to demand a refund. **AVOID**

We had a very nice meal and a good time. Burger, fries and cocktail for 2 for £20. Can't beat that! It was happy hour, so we had another cocktail each. Half price.

I went to London on Tuesday to see a gig and met up with some of my best and oldest girl friends. We had intended on going to the Blues Kitchen but the table was booked far too late for me to make the show so we pottered about Hoxton a bit looking in a few places before, to be honest, hunger and time restrictions forced us to choose Far RockAway. There was a sign outside saying happy hour til 8 burger and a drink for £10 so we went in at half 7 and there were quite a few people in there watching football and eating - good sign. Decor is cool in a reminds-you-of-your-favourite-small-music-venue-at-home kind of vibe. Massive place. I assume they make the most of it on weekends. We sat down and my friend went to the bar to see if it was table service or not - she was told to sit. After ten minutes a lady came over to us, we enquired about the happy hour deal and were disappointed to find there was no vegetarian option for one of the girls, the veggie burger wasn't in the deal just the cheeseburger or plain burger. The deal also only includes a drink and burger- no chips. This isn't really an issue as we'd been planning on spending far more on a flashy meal but in case you're on a budget it works out cheaper to just buy a meal, which is what we did. The waitress said "you have to hurry up for happy hour" she was generally grumpy and moody and kept glaring at us. We were at this point doubting the "deal" and she pursed her lips at us and said she'd be back and stropped away. None of us were being loud or rude or indecisive she just instantly seemed to have a problem with us. Or her job. After a couple of snappy "just a minutes" when we smiled at her to catch her attention we were a bit out out. Having all done this work at various points it does annoy me when a waitress is rude - especially when it prints on the menu that gratuity is automatically added. Either way twenty minutes later she hadn't come back so we found a new waitress who took our order. Now i have to say I can't remember if her name was Monica or Veronica but she was lovely and when there was a delay with the food she was ever so nice about it. We ordered 2 beers and 2 ciders. The beers came in glasses the ciders in plastic cups. One of the plastic cups had lipstick all round the rim. We took it back and they exchanged it and didn't charge for the drinks. Very nice of them. All the while this first waitress scowled and was unhelpful. The food was amazing. I can't fault it. I had the piri piri chicken burger and sweet potato fries. All excellent. The coleslaw was delicious. Girls all suitably enjoyed their meals too. The lovely waitress was and the food totally turned around what was feeling like a big mistake into a lovely meal. If you want a decent burger at a reasonable price, you could do much worse. Just hope for the nice waitress!

Okay food, great cocktail but absolutely terrible customer service. We ordered starter and main and they brought them both together. We then complained and had the manager (Mo) tell us that we were wrong. So we had to eat our starters whilst our main course then got cold... I won't be returning!!

Me and my girlfriend enjoyed a fantastic meal here, the staff are very accommodating, especially Florina, who's attitude was attentive, kind and unique. We shall remember our experience here, mostly thanks to her and her colleagues. Highly recommend the cocktails and food.

I dont think theres a front of house so to speak, wondered in and was passed by 2 waitresses, picked a random seat and one of the waitresses came over, tried to take our order, didnt understand the group on voucher option but smiled and nodded then got someone else. The other waitress came over and seemed to not have time for us though there only being about 6 people in the entire building. The wine is poor, im talking vinegar, tescos Spanish Red for £3 is better, tried to drink through it, left half a bottle. Pizzas are poor, ordered pepperoni and a four stages, to think this place is known for its Pizzas is bizarre. The Barrel Boulangerie up Hoxton street do better pizzas for 1/4 the price. Iv been to this place for a work christmas party a couple years ago, was not impressed then either. Id put money on this place being closed in a couple years. Go to Flat Iron down the road. A woman by us seemed to be having similar problems and ended up getting food taken off her bill.

this is an amazing night of old school house classics, i was entranced by the music, definitely worth a visit on a Thursday night

We were visiting the Shoreditch area from Canada and this great bar was directly below our apartment. It was a fantastic find! Great music, chill atmosphere, great service and drinks. We didn't have a meal there so can't comment on the food. Everyone was super friendly. I'd highly recommend it for a night out in London.

In a very part of 'it' London, this probably wasn't it. Bar service was rather sluggish, my barman was too busy talking into his wrist on his shiny Apple gadget and sadly too busy to pour my beer. Food was ok but again service was rather disappointing.

We went to Far RockAway yesterday for a double birthday celebration. A few of us had been before but most hadn't. Initially, upon arrival we were disappointed to find out that the table we had tried to book during the week wasn't booked, we were concerned during the week as the communication was lacking when liaising with one of the girls via email. Luckily, we met bar girl/awesome hostess called Timmi. She took over and went and got Kerry - who seemed to be manager and they really took control and were incredibly accommodating. I can't stress how impressed we were with the level of customer service shown by these 2 ladies! Not all the staff had such people skills but luckily these 2 helped make the night what it was. Timmi could easily be a hostess at a top prestigious London venue and Kerry would make a great customer service manager for any company! It was a busy lively night - they screened the boxing, then when that finished the music started and the night really got started! Great Garage music with a mature crowd (yay!) And happy smiley people just loving the vibe. Not pretentious like many bars and the atmosphere was great. We will DEFINITELY be going back next time we hit Shoreditch! Thank you Kerry and Timmi for rescuing then making our night!

Me and my mates came in the restaurant for a bite to eat, and was seen by this beautiful waitress, if I remember it was Chloe? Not 100% sure though,she served us brilliantly and always had a fantastic smile on! Thank you for a great time would recommend this place to all my friends

I didn't have a meal here, however we come to the venue for a party with a few friends on a Friday night. Security is really good and the decor is vibrant and unique. The venue is massive with quite and loud areas so its an ideal night for everyone. Can not wait to return!

There with business trip. Tesco also had a big party on. Despite the recent reviews I was impressed! Direct bus back to Paddington. Service was discreet, sweet potato chips, regular fries, loaded nachos with hummous(!) was great. Hawaiian and Marg. pizza had delicious thin smoky crisp, slightly charred yet chewy delectable bases, Pizza Pilgrams and Soho Joes are in the same category :)No ales though on tap, only Blue Moon and an Icelandic one (which is good). Beers, Bud and Sol came in buckets with bottle openers built into them. They were warm at the top, beers were cooler as you drank them. Massive projectors for sport where handy, image due to projector was a little blurred, I blame the manu.

We decided on Far Rockaway because we fancied going somewhere laid back and casual, and the food menu on the website looked ok. On arrival we were told the menu had been changed, and the food itself was terrible. The service was good but we will not be returning

My friend had booked a table for a group of friends to eat, drink and have fun because she was attracted by the places quirky interior. After about 10 mins we were met with extremely loud music from a speaker very close to us in what was clearly an eating area. We asked them to turn it down twice (because they turned it down and back up again within the space of 10 minutes) but they eventually told us they had to keep it turned up because there was a dancing area in another section and there was only volume control for the whole place. It made it very difficult to talk among ourselves or communicate with the staff. A friend ordered a burger which was disgusting and the chips had no flavour at all. I would have preferred McDonalds chips over their attempt at them. I myself ordered the bbq chicken on chips. The chicken was vile, resembling the tasteless rubber chicken you would defrost from Iceland's...lovely. I eventually went to the toilet and was met with a toilet with a lock that didn't work, water all over the floor, a tap that didn't turn off and taps that didn't turn on. So all in all...don't waste your money here because they clearly only invested theirs in the decor.

Stopped by on a Sudnay afternoon to watch a football game. The bar is spacious and offers a few big screens to watch sports on, but the atmosphere and general impression of the staff, food and service is mediocre at best.Only one type of beer on tap and the rest of the bar is poorly stocked. The staff also seemed to be more interested in each other and their friends than paying customers. We ordered som snacks, they were okay, but this is not a place you want to spend your money. Wish we had a better plan for watching the game in Shoredtich this afternoon.

Went to watch the match with my boyfriend and his friends reserved a table in front of the big screen . We were greated at the door by the waiter ( dark hair cute with a sexy thick accent ) the food and drinks were amazing will be back. 10/10

You walk in and you are instantly met with the smell of grease. We had a table booked and no one met us at the door . We had to hunt around for someone who then couldn't tell us where our table was . No one told us if there was table service , so say there waiting for ages. We flagged someone down to ask if there was drinks table service and they said no- fair enough, asked if there was food table service and he said, don't know I'll have to ask! What is this!! He's the waiter! Took 10 minutes to to get a drink at the bar despite being empty . The waiter just stood on his phone most the time when he should of just got behind the bar!! Got to paying and they said they couldn't give us a bill and the woman was all very rude . Said she couldn't let us pay for what we each ate so to save agg, one of us paid for everyone.Will not be going back again and would recommend to anyone. Food was okay, nothing to rave about. Awful experience!

Organised a group of friends to come out to Shoreditch for my birthday, booked a table and to be honest most of my group was more interested in the shots of alcohol and getting the night started than the amazing huge pizza's that came out. Service was fine and everyone in there seemed nice and down to earth. Dress code is quite relaxed and good to see that everyone is just up for having a good time to my favorite music genre... Garage!! We will be back soon!

Was on a bit of bar crawl round Shoreditch and was trying to watch the Liverpool Vs Manchester United game, went to a few pubs that had the game on but had very small tv's and no atmosphere, stumbled then down curtain road with the boys and could see the game on lots of large screens. Was given warm welcome and decent banter from bar staff, few beers and some pizza job done. Will be back soon.

This place used to be so cool. Came here for a drink tonight and first of all the bouncers asked the guys to take their hats off "for the cameras"??? The bartenders were so rude, Coke was out of syrup, they refused to accept what we were telling them and just argued with us. Won't be coming here again. Also, I thought it was a "rock" music kind of place. They are playing house?!! So confused with skateboards in the ceiling....

Good fun place with nice sofas to relax on. The decor is amazing, skateboard decks on the ceiling and good art work all over. Bathrooms are full of bands stickers and the roof is covered in vinyl records. Good music and two bars. Really enjoyed the visit.

I went here for a meal, was told our section had been given away. So we had to loiter while they made a makeshift area for us. The food took over an hour to come and when it arrived looked like it was straight from your local Iceland - Not even a bap, but a hovis/Kingsmill bread roll and a Birdseye burger. The waitress made some mistakes with our order and argued "someone's avin it!" It was sent back, she stormed off and then failed to return for another hour with the rest of our food. Complete waste of time.

My 43 year old sister was visiting me in London with her friend and wanted somewhere "for a bit of a dance but not full of kids". After much research I decided to try the Wham 80-90s night at Far Rockaway so booked a table through their website for 8.30 thinking we could eat and then have a bit of an old school shuffle. Glad rags on, rocked up through a heaving Shoreditch to see a big hand written sign saying "private party". The message was reinforced by the bouncers who directed me to the "other entrance". A similar sign informed me that it was a "private party" and two other bouncers told me to "go to the other entrance" if I wanted to speak to the manager. Why I would want to wait 10 minutes to have a frustrating conversation with a manager is beyond me so we left, with two very disappointed 80s loving women. No phone call. No email. Nothing to bother them about but a big deal to us. This is the second time I tried to go there. The first time the hostess said wait 10 minutes for a table. Which we did. Then as she pointed us into the restaurant, the waitress just tutted and said there are no tables and she didn't know why we had been sent through. Total shambles

Charged an entrance fee for a major sports event but didn't even provide the commentary.Surly, slow, incompetent bar staff who became aggressive when questioned. Stopped serving food before the event even started but allowed some but not all customers to go outside and bring back in food.

I was at Far Rockaway last Saturday night for their Halloween Party. I ordered drinks on three occasions and was served by the same girl. Every time she served me she couldn’t of acted more unimpressed, but I remained polite throughout, not to worsen the situation. On the third time I was served by her she owed me change, and she said she needed to get the coins from another till, so she headed to another bar area. She was gone for about 5 minutes and when she came back she said that she didn’t owe me any change. I then told another female bar staff member about the situation, and then the original girl said that I threw a drink at her. I couldn’t believe it, I had to ask her to repeat what she said because I thought I may have misheard her which I hadn’t. The original server just stormed off, and then I was left explaining it to the second girl, who was equally nasty and rude. Eventually the second server quite aggressively gave me my change. I was absolutely devastated. Shoreditch is an amazing place, with much better bars than this, and better service. I will never return, neither will my friends who were also appalled by the situation.

Had a great night on froday , LOVED the wham theme great bar staff, so friendly , foood was fab me and my friends shared a 18'Pizza its was would tell anyone to go here im going back next friday xx get your dancing shoes on x

Went to a Halloween event here and it was amazing! Everyone was in fancy dress even the staff. The place was packed but a good atmos was flowing and the bar was efficient and polite. The place has tons of unusual art on the walls which really added to Halloween. Would defo like to visit on a general night!

Went here for England v Wales RWC match with friends. It was rubbish! We waited well over 40 mins for a few beers. The bar ran out of wine glasses, the kitchen closed for food orders (at £22 for a pizza it was probably a blessing in disguise) and the Estrella was off - at least three people brought back pints in the 40mins I waited. I felt for the bar staff as there clearly weren't enough of them but with some simple management (serving discounted bottles in one bar, moving staff to the other bar near the TVs) the situation could have been easily resolved. The place didn't need to be cutting edge or serve fancy cocktails, we just wanted some beers and to watch a game and it couldn't even manage that. Pathetic - avoid

Normally a decent bar with a lot if screens - but England vs Wales World Cup rugby game showed up as if this bar had not been aware in advance. They ran out of beer on tap, white wine and bar snacks ... But this was the least of our worries as staff tried to oust us out of our seats mid way through the game. Obviously reserved seats take priority - but not only had the reserved seats not been indicated by the traditional sign - staff on arrival 2 hrs prior to the game had been unable to indicate which tables were taken. Bar staff did their best with the chaos which ensued - but there was a complete lack of management or customer service - resulting in a stand off between those who had arrived early to save tables and those who had reserved in advance. Neither party was offered compensation or incentive to move 20 mingles into the game ... But the explanation of 'we're too relaxed to put up reserved signs' was offered. Overall it is a bar with lots of potential - but horribly understaffed and critically mismanaged. I wouldn't return.

I went to the Far Rockaway on Friday night and had an absolutely great time. I booked a table in advance and when I turned up the table was all set out with sports decor and some 80's props due to the event that was held there that night which was a really cool touch! Due to the rugby the bar was extremely busy but even though it was overly busy we was looked after from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The food and drink deals were very affordable and the pizzas were loverly. I will definitely be returning the next time I'm in the area! :)

I'm not one for writing bad reviews, however I feel the service here was beyond repairable and will most certainly not be going again. We were here for a friends leaving do which she's booked a table in advance. This was the only thing they managed to achieve. Our table was ready and waiting for us when we arrived and we were anticipating an enjoyable evening. After waiting an age at the bar to order a drink and some food we sat down expecting a slight wait due to the number of people as there was a rugby game on. After an hour there was still no food in sight and a few of the party had gone back to the bar to find out what was going on. Although paying one groups order "hadn't gone through" and they claimed to now be out of pizza. By the time they got round to the rest of us we were told they were no longer serving food. A manager came over to discuss this and told us we would have our order in 10 minutes (we had ordered a burger with fries and potato skins). My friends burger arrived (with no fries) and my potato skins came however were not the filling I ordered. We were so hungry by this point we ate anyway although the food was cold and we weren't given any cutlery or napkins. Cue VERY messy hands eating loaded potato skins cutlery-less. Whilst back at the bar again to get a refund on the missing fries we overheard a conversation between another party and the manager regarding their missing order and the fact that the manager wasn't willing to give them a refund even though there were no pizzas left and the kitchen was now closed. Eventually they received some of their money back but not the full amount and upon them questioning this the manager requested security to remove the party from the premises. The bar was very busy due to the rugby, but as it was advertised showing the match it should have been anticipated that it would be busy and food should not have been advertised if they weren't going to be able to cope. Although our issues were (somewhat) rectified, the wait we had and the fact we had to rectify this ourselves was appalling and not even an apology from any member of staff. I don't think I'd go back here again even if I didn't have to put my hand in my purse. Plenty more places to go with MUCH better service!

This place is a hidden gem of Shoreditch! Tucked in the middle of many restaurants and bars on Curtain road this place incorporates the artistic Shoreditch streets within it's walls. The place is a treasure trove for art, vintage band posters and bars lined with skateboards! We were seated promptly and served by a Lady that was all smiles, we ordered 2 cocktails in the Happy hour deal which were a bargain! 2 long island ice teas for £5.95!!!We also ordered a pizza as our waitress made a bet with us that we wouldn't be able to finish it due to it's size (I'm a sucker for gambling) and so I took the bet. We ordered just a margarita. Whilst waiting for our dinner our waitress brought a metal stand to our table and explaned that was to hold the pizza dish! Oh dear.... would I doon be eating my words?...... Our pizza arrived and it was huge! It was one of the only times I had taken a snap of my food. Needless to say it was beautiful, the base wasn't too thick but not too crispy either, it was lovely and soft in the middle with just enough bite to the crust. Throughout our waitress checked to make sure everything was well with us. Needless to say we took the rest of the pizza home with us. Will definitely be going here again soon!

We went here for my neices birthday and when we walked in the place was deserted. If we hadnt have been starving we would have gone elswhere! We all ordered milkshakes and a variety of different burgers. The food was well below average to the point where my sister actually couldnt eat hers at all. Once the food was served the service became non exsistent but when we did eventually get the bill, they had included 10% gratuity which we had to ask to be removed as they certainly hadnt earnt it. Will certainly not be returning.

My burger and chips were amazing! Probably the best I've ever had. However the people I was with were disappointed. Get curly fries not normal fries. The normal fries were not nice at all! The place was empty on a Saturday evening. The staff asked us to leave as they wanted to change the room to a more of a 'bar area'. Even though there was nobody in the place. Also we had to wait for nearly 50 minutes for our food. The staff were also rude and didn't even understand what we were staying. I have never written a bad review on trip advisor ever!

Perfect place for after work in the city, located in shoreditch this place serves up good American grub and has a decent list of cocktails to wash it down with after in the bar. Friday nights they have happy hours on cocktails up until 8pm which makes it good value for money and there was DJs playing 80's and 90's music all night - grab your friends and head down for a good night out :)

Came here for dinner after work to celebrate a friend's birthday and have a leaving do. Great service, amazing hotdogs and burgers! Definitely worth a visit and even the door man Raff didn't mind being our official photographer for the night! Happy days ! :)

Came here with a friend for some drinks and had some snacks, overall I have to say the place is a very nice quirky bar to have informal drinks in. The staff are lovely and we had exceptional service. The drinks are good, very good quality brands stocked and the cocktails are nice.

Turned up here last yesterday afternoon with friends, as this had been recommended on some best American diners in London site, and it was a short visit!We stood for about four minutes while the bar staff chatted amongst themselves, only to then be greeted with "ummm...we're closed?" Not sure why those sort of bar guys have to take on that holier than thou rising patronising questioning type lilt to the end of their sentences, but this chap was highly skilled in the art of it nevertheless.Luckily there was 'The Diner' just up the way which had, shock horror, polite staff...what a surprising, welcome anomaly in this day and age. Honestly, just go to 'The Diner'Far Rockaway, train your staff in the ways of human communication on a human level for goodness sakes.Can't review the food as there was none.

Me and some friends came to Far Rockaway last Saturday night for my hen party. My friends had come to Shoreditch to check out potential venues a couple of weeks beforehand and clearly thought this place was worth coming back to, and I was really glad they did!When we arrived the place was pretty quiet, but we were able to commandeer a large corner sofa for my party which was great. Our waitress was super sweet and attentive and couldn't do enough for us. The Margaritas were delicious and as the night went on we decided to have a bite to eat as well. The food was really tasty we thought and certainly did the job. The music wasn't so loud you couldn't hear yourself think and at the end of the night we were able to split the bill which made things much easier.The decor is really interesting and cool. I loved all of the skateboards which covered the ceiling.By the time we left, the place was quite busy, but at the same time it is so big that you never felt cramped. I thought it was a great way to end my hen party, and would definitely like to come back again next time I am in East London!

Super friendly bar staff food was ok, really did not like the 3 projectors playing MTV rocks though the actual music was pretty good. one of the walls looked like they've bought the entire back catalogue of jacknife posters ( great rock n roll art work) but not much imagination. The toilets were definitely on budget ie printed album covers straight off the internet some such poor quality you can't even read them! I was there about 6.30 on a tuesday it was pretty empty, would like to go again when its a bit busier.

We booked this place for b day party and we had good time. The place has a nice vibe and staff were super friendly. The area we booked comfortably fit poeple- standing and sitting which is great so everyone can catch up. The music was slightly too loud for my liking too early at night but overall you can have great night with friends.

Dined here as part of a large group of friends on a Saturday night. Great looking venue of a great size. They had big screens showing the football so good if you are into that kind of thing. We had a massive table in a great location. The staff member appeared friendly and efficient so no complaints there. All in all it was an ok experience, I just did not feel like it was amazing. Maybe because it was a Saturday but the music was too loud for conversation over dinner and they turned the lights so slow I could barely see the menu let alone my fellow diners. This was fine for after dinner but during it was quite frustrating. The food was ok but not amazing. Priced for the area but I would have expected better. The pizzas are large to share but tasted basic. The cheese on the cheesy chips was cold and did not go well with the chips. Probably a good place to go for drinks or to have a quick meal beforehand. I would not recommend to go for a formal dinner if you want to talk to anyone.

Had a night in Far RockAway last week and it was great. Great food, service and vibes. Would definitely recommended for a birthday or celebration. Several TVs, two bars and more than enough seating. Ideal for an evening of drink n food.

I organised a small party for 16 people at Far Rockaway and I was pleasantly surprised with the whole experience. I was a bit reluctant at first after reading the reviews here, however it seems like the management have made improvements as the staff were friendly and attentive. Everyone really enjoyed the food and complimented the choice of venue. We had the entire back lounge reserved for us and the minimum spend wasn’t much at all. I can definitely recommend Far Rockaway for group bookings. Thanks to the management and staff for a great evening!

I held my fiancé 30th birthday with Marvel and DC comic theme as they had Marvel and DC comic section as well as miniatures along with American theme, pizza etc. Most of us were deaf and the staff were excellent and very accommodating to our needs. The food was great, music was funky. Everyone had a great time and commented on the food. The only gripe I would have is the inflexibility on how we meet the minimum spend, I had to pay in advance for everyone and then ask people to pay upfront, whereas other places would accept that the party organiser would pay the difference if the minimum spend wasn't met. However everyone was happy to pay upfront so it all worked out at the end. The spicy chicken wings are so hot that they blow your head off, so be warn but the pizzas and BBQ chicken were yummy and so was the cocktails!

Came here with a group of about 20 friends for my birthday on a Friday evening. I had booked in advance and we were given a great space on the far side of the bar with several sofas, a foosball table and another games machine! There were also smaller tables for food and drinks to be placed on, and the layout made it a great place to both sit down and chat with friends. The decor is also excellent, so many great skateboards/sculptures/works of art to look at! We had a mix of the large pizzas/burgers which were great for sharing, but you would really be coming here for the atmosphere as opposed to the food. The only disappointing thing was the fact that Far Rockaway is now under new management, so their cocktail/food menu has been noticeably slimmed down from what I initially spotted on their website - manage your expectations as they only do margaritas/simple cocktails! There is also a £20 minimum spend per person for large groups which is easy to reach but a bit of a hassle. I would however come back again as it was definitely worth it!

Cocktail-night out with the girls and it was quite early for a saturday (since we were working on sunday) but the place was crowded. Despite this the service was good, we didnt eat but had margaritas (the passionfruit ones were lovely!). The place was surprisingly big and supercool, I loved the decor and all the posters of different bands and festivals. The roof was filled with skateboards and the walls with different styles of grafitti and paintings, typical Shoreditch-style. My favorite thing about Far Rockaway was definetly the music (and free entrance)! Highly recommended to young adults looking for a night out with good music, food and drinks. Although now when I think about it, I think my dad would really enjoy this place aswell..

Went for dinner last night with family. Place was busy, waitresses friendly but there was a slight language barrier! Took ages for drinks to arrive, we could see them waiting at the bar, so close yet so far. Some of the food arrived shortly after but the chips took forever to arrive and staff seemed curiously reluctant to provide ketchup! One lot of chips had been forgotten and the water we ordered we eventually gave up, despite reminders. One of the waitresses asked if all was ok and my husband told her on the contrary, she offered a free round of drinks and apologised. We ordered one dessert to share between us all, it took forever to come and had obviously been sitting there for a while as it was partly melted! The decor is amazing and the staff are helpful but it was let down by the slowness of service and lack of attention to basic details such as getting the order right. The magaritas were amazing, the food itself was satisfactory but nothing special, perfect for a hangover or for mopping up alcohol during a heavy night. However the worst thing about the place was the stench of cooking fat and onion on our clothes and hair, this place needs better ventilation or some serious air fresheners! Not sure if we will return anytime soon.

This place is worth a look just for the decor inside, every part of this place has been covered in wacky art or posters or old LP's. The food was really nice, pizza was huge! and very fresh, and the drinks were decent too, although wish the cocktail menu was bigger, we were told they're now only specialising in margaritas (although they were tasty anyway). What made it for us was the DJ, he played a great mix of old and new stuff all night, not so loud we couldn't talk amongst ourselves.Waitress was incredibly friendly and attentive. Would go back, especially with a big group or special occasion.

I had dinner with a group of nine here in November. My friends and I were looking for a place we could really sprawl out and have some good, glutenous food, and thats exactly what we got here. Solid drinks, our waitress was nice. But the food was fun, tasty and absolutely huge - I was not expecting our pizza to be that big! Overall the experience was great - I will definitely go back with more friends, this is a super fun venue to go to with a group.

I'm struggling to find one redeamimg feature of this place. They didn't have our reservation, but it was ok as only one other table being used on Saturday lunchtime (I guess we should have gou the clue then). We then had a drink at the bar, with the slowest bar man ever. They had run out of some of the starters we ordered. They brought the main course up before clearing the starters. 3 of the burgers (out of 5) we ordered were basically raw. We sent 1 back and it came back 10 minutes later even less cooked!! All the staff strugle to speak English (although they all knew the phrase "its not my fault") In fact our waiter told us it was the chefs fault, to quote "he is the worse chef I have ever known.

I can only assume the good reviews on here are written by the owners.If you cannot even cook a burger and not serve raw meat not once but twice I think you are in troubleAvoid at all costs..

We went here following a recommendation from a friend who had been a few weeks before. We had made a reservation, but given the time of day we were there (Saturday lunchtime), it was obvious this hadn't been necessary as there were not many people around, but this did mean we were allowed to sit wherever we wanted. The decor is fun and quirky and would definitely make a great background for photos (if that's what you're into). There are also various big TV screens around the venue. The atmosphere was relaxed and the waitress serving us appeared friendly and polite. We came for cocktails and lunch. I had the Peanut Butter Cup which was delicious and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is a fan of peanut butter or Reese's cups. It was nice to see quite a few vegetarian options on the menu. I chose the vegetarian hot dog. Unfortunately the main dishes will only come on their own which is a bit of a let down with the price so we had to order sides separately. The hot dogs were fairly generous but I would have preferred the hot dog to have come with fries included rather than having to order them separately which is why I rated 4/5 rather than 5/5. But overall I would recommend Far RockAway and I would visit again (the desserts certainly sound worth trying!).

We found this place by accident and were happy we did. Great variety of beer! good service. Awesome vibe and the design of this place is crazy cool. I would definitely visit again.

I went there after a football game with a group of girls, they were able to seat us quite quickly on a Sunday evening and the service was really friendly and welcoming. The whole atmosphere was really chilled and relaxed, the many decorations on the wall definitely make it a good place for pictures. We got seated around a small area where it was quite closed off which was amazing, and the comfortable sofas made it a really good relaxing meal after a tiring day. However, the food itself wasn't really up to standard, there wasn't really authenticity in the mac&cheese or the rack of ribs, and the portions for the drinks were rather small for the price they had charged. All in all, it was a good atmosphere, but maybe for a drink rather than food?

My partner had booked a space here for a surprise engagement party and boy was I surprised. It has to be one of the best nights out of my life. We had a whole section to ourselves (which included the football table) and table service. The food was incredible and the drinks were amazing. The whole group were loving the cocktails which were some of the best we've ever had. The bar staff were so friendly and just on it. For how busy it was in there you never had to wait for drink. We stayed all night until we were dancing out the door. Thank you Far RockAway you are awesome.

Came here with a few friends for a birthday, we reserved a lounge area, and had a few drinks and what felt like a tone of food. The portions are amazing. The pizza's are massive enough for 3-4 people, and the ribs are crazy.Really love the space, the decor is amazing, really decor and the sofas are so comfortable, will be going back.Staff were friendly too.

Been to Far Rockaway a couple of times and its always been really good from the food to the atmosphere. There are big screen TV,s around but they don't introduce. And I just love the big sofas were you can just relax and had chat and a drink. Well done Stuart and your team keep up the good work. I will definitely be back. !!!!

this place looks really cool, the art work is amazing, the drinks are not to bad. the bar man made me a great old fashioned. which even though sounds easy, so many places make them poorly. So that was a good start.For a birthday venue the place just never got exciting, not many people were coming in. it was pretty dead all night... as we were the main group in the venue we went up and asked the DJ to play some old skool hip-hop or a bit of dance and RnB to get our group in the mood to have a laugh. The DJ's response was... "If you dont like the music you can leave" HOW RUDE IS THAT!!!! totally uncalled for especially as he was a very poor DJ who couldn't mix a track. For the managements benefit we came on the 06/09/14.

Order the red red wine. Basically sangria on tap, pepped up with amaretto. Is delicious. Dessert cocktails also fab. Trashcan pizza was good, burgers no better than average. Decor is fab - they have realy made an effort with all the board decks, comics, artwork and scribbles. Massive place - big bar, comfy armchair seating, dining area (that was never more than 1/4 full on a Friday night - in fact the whole place was surprisingly empty) and service was reasonable. Overall, a good experience but I have no plans to return.

Huge place, tons to look at inside. Lots of Americana, including thousands of comic books. Interesting pizza toppings - Pizza's come either as 1 slice or a huge 18" (about 8 larger slices) so go for one extreme or the other!

I had dinner here with my partner recently thinking this would be a great place to get American food but was sadly a little disappointed. The sliders that we had as a starter (buffalo wings, Mac N Cheese Spring Roll & popcorn shrimp) were really good and came out served on a skateboard which was fun. I went for a burger as a main course which was really disappointing especially for an American restaurant, very bland and served with 'pub' chips not fries as advertised. He had a hot dog which he said was "ok" and was much better than my burger. The service wasn't great, it wasn't that busy when we arrived but we had to ask to have our food order taken and then again when we wanted a second round of drinks and then again to have our table cleared & get our bill. We didn't bother staying for desert.The atmosphere was a bit odd, it looks like it should be a really fun place but it felt a little staged. none of the staff appeared invested in making it an exciting place but there were several groups in that looked like they were having a good time. The bar area looked more interesting with a huge selection of drinks but we'd had enough and moved on somewhere else for drinks after dinner.

Had a great meal, very relaxed and service was brilliant. Food is very nice and reasonably priced for the size of the portions. Server was very nice and helpful, could answer all of our questions. Would definitely recommend this place to our friends and will be back for sure. Restaurant has a great buzz, even on a quiet Sunday evening. Great Shoreditch Restaurant!

We loved it! Such a great area full of restaurants but this one was decorated quirky, cool and gives you a great vibe.

I loved the decor and interior of Far Rockaway, but the food wasn't great. I came here with a group of about 14 and most of us had left food on our plates at the end. I had a bland chicken and bacon burger, which consisted of a piece of chewy bacon and a breaded chicken escalope (certainly from frozen). The fries are crinkle cut and very clearly from a huge frozen bag. The burger was inexplicably smothered in both mayo and what tasted like a spicy tomato pasta sauce. The £2 guacamole I ordered as an extra topping came in a little pot at the side, but it tasted weirdly sharp and badly seasoned so I hardly touched it. My friends felt similarly about their burgers.The side dishes we ordered for the table were pretty good, particularly the zucchini fries and the corndog bites. However, if we hadn't ordered these most of us would have been pretty disappointed with our lunch.The restaurant looks good but that's about it. A couple of good side dishes don't save a plethora of disappointing and from frozen mains. If it gets full, this place must make a killing: its prices waaaay exceed the quality of the food. I could probably get a better burger from Iceland.

Far Rockaway is a terrific club in Shoreditch. It has a contemporary decor inspired by Americana and Rock n Roll music. This is first and foremost a club with a restaurant in it. The food is upscale pub grub, the was well done. Drink service was very solid, even with a good crowd there, and the drink options were quite solid. The decor and atmosphere is what makes this place. It's a little unique, but the combination of well-made, upscale pub grub, music, and decor comes together quite nicely. Do not expect an upscale dining experience, but do expect a great time if this is the type of place you are looking for. I experienced none of the service issues mentioned in other reviews, either at lunch, or when we came back later for drinks and appetizers after a long day of meetings. I will come back.

I recently went to Far Rockaway with a friend, we hadn't been before and we most certainly won't be going again! We sat down and after about 10 minutes a waiter finally came over and we ordered our drinks, I ordered a glass of red wine and my friend ordered a white, when the waiter finally came back after yet another 10 minutes, we were shocked to see the wine glasses contained but a dribble of wine, and not nearly a full 250ml glass like we'd ordered! We asked the waiter if we could have a bit more in our glasses as they were not even a quarter full, and he started laughing at us and told us we'd have to buy the full bottle if we were so 'thirsty'.At this point we would have left without food, but we had already ordered food with another waiter before our 'drinks' had even arrived. when our food FINALLY arrived, my order was wrong! As a vegetarian I had ordered the Il Tricolore, but instead received one with pepperoni and ground beef! Straight away I told them my food was wrong, and that I ordered the Il Tricolore, and I can't eat this as I am vegetarian; once again I was laughed at and the waiter told me I'm obviously not vegetarian as my friend was eating a meat one! I explained that this was outrageous, I hadn't ordered this pizza and would not be eating/paying for this pizza! Another waiter came over and insisted I had ordered this pizza and it was too late to change as this was had already been cooked and prepared.At this point, me and my friend both asked to speak to the manager as it was getting crazy, we had been there over an hour and still hadn't eaten, and now had the wrong pizza sat infront of me. The manager came over and asked me what pizza I'd ordered, I told him it was the Il Tricolore, and he said he was sorry but on their notes it said I'd ordered the Rockaway Hot. I explained that he must have written it down wrong then! I was not offered the correct pizza as apparently it was 'too late to change my mind when the pizza had already been cooked.'Me and my friend paid for our dribble of wine and left without bothering with the pizzas, the manager shouted at us as we were leaving to pay for the pizzas, but we weren't about to pay for their terrible service. I felt bad for my friend as his order was correct, but he too was furious at the awful customer service, the way we had been laughed at, and how long we had been kept waiting! Instead we went to Prezzo's and had a lovely meal, on time and with good customer service.We will never be going here again, I was left upset and furious by their terrible customer service, the way they basically called me a liar and insisted I'd 'changed my mind too late' about my order which was THEIR MISTAKE! The wine was awful and not even a quarter of a glass full, and their waiters and management were rude, aggressive, sarcastic and uncaring. I would have never expected such terrible service from a restaurant in such a central high end location. I Will also be complaining to the trading standards agency about their terrible service.

The decor is cool and I thought the refurb on this large space would make a nice addition to Curtain Road when it was being built... unfortunately I've never enjoyed my time here. The service is ridiculously poor, so I'm not sure how they think hiding a service charge on your bill is excusable. I was here once with a group of friends on a quiet weeknight, yet our food still took ages and the server even pushed my friend out of his way to deliver drinks when there was more than enough room for him to go around. £14 for a cold veggie burger is a joke when I can get a better one next door at Hache for £8. We requested they remove the service charge as we went to the bar for our own drinks due to lack of service, and they would not remove it. My friends have had similar incidents here where extra drinks have been added to their bills as well. With so many choices in shoreditch, put this one at the bottom of your list!!!

I visited for my 4th time tonight and that will be the last. On my first visit last month I went to Far Rockaway for after work drinks with several work colleagues. After ordering our drinks a lady came over to our table and told us we had to leave after our drinks as the resturants electricity was shortly going to cut out (something beyond their control). As an appologie the lady gave me and my colleagues 50% discount cards for us to use in the future, an unlimited amount of times, lifetime discount on our food bills! All we had to do was register our cards. As I live directly opposit the restaurant/ bar I thought this was perfect, and very generous of them.I returned a week later with a friend. We orders 3 sides between us and a few slices of pizza's each. It was O.K, I was glad we had the 50% discount as I wouldn't really pay full price for what it was. When it came to paying up the discount card appeared to not work, the till wouldn't take it. The waitress apologied and said she would call her manager over. The manager came over, attempted to swipe my member card in the till and told me, in a rather snappy manner "it's not registered, you have to register your card to use it".. I told the manager that I had registered it, i registered it the same evening that I was given the card, a week ago. He sharply snapped again "well you haven't registered it!".. I assured the manager that I was not a liar and proceeded to pull out my phone, go on to their website and log in to my account, that I had REGISTERED. I held the phone in his face showing him my registration. He finally piped down "oh right o.k, well I don't understand", he said. No appologie. 50% was taken off the bill. We settled the amount plus a hefty service charge.I went back a week later with another friend. I had a salad, they had a burger. It was nice except the drinks took ages to come out and we had to ask for them twice and whilst waiting for our drinks another waiter came over and asked "have you ordered your drinks yet?"... "Yes, we have ordered them twice" I responded. Obviously they don't communicate with eachother.This time my discount card worked, no issues, we paid the bill and left.Tonight however.. Me and my partner visited Far Rockaway around 6.30pm. We had a side of chicken wings each and two slices of pizza each. We ordered our drinks and 10 minutes later our drinks still hadn't arrived. A waiter came over to take our food order - to which after taking he asked "have you ordered drinks yet". We explained yes we have, about 10 minutes ago. By the time the food came out the drinks had only just arrived, but whatever, I have already accepted that the service is just non existent here. When it came to settling the bill the waiter told me that my member discount card wasn't working. I explained that this had happened before but on my last visit it worked. I asked him to try it again. Whilst he went off to try I saw the manager over in the corner speaking to him, the same manager that snapped at me the other time. The waiter came back to the table and explained that their card reader for the membership cards is not working so I would have to pay full price!!I went on to explain that I've had this same problem before but the manager sorted it last time and manually altered the bill. It's their fault, not mine, I didn't understand why this was turning in to an argument. The waiter said "well the manager isn't here tonight so there is nothing I can do". I told him I knew that he was lying as I just saw him talking to the manager in the corner. "No he is a different manager, he can't do anything!". I was in total disbelief at this point. The same man who claimed to be the manger last time who managed to alter the bill for us before was now hiding away whilst the waiter was lying to us telling me that he's not here!!I told him I was not paying the full amount, the card worked last time and the time before you manually took it off. Why couldn't you sort it this time. He went away. In this time another waiter came over and said "do you want the bill". They really have no idea what they're doing!Anyway, the waiter came back again, looking very embarrassed. He said there was nothing they could do - I have to pay the full amount. I begrudgingly paid the full amount - minus the service charge. Which resulted in me getting a very dirty look! I will never be coming back now. I was going on a weekly basis but I will now ensure that my colleagues and my friends do not step foot in there. Rude, incompetent and a manager that lies and hides away when there's an issue. Absolute joke.

The place is quite big and looks quite nice but the food menu is very poor.We ordered 2 pizzas, they were just ok, not a lot of choice in the menuIt is not a pizza place it is not a burger placeI wouldn't go there anymore unless anything else will be closed it the area

Celebrated a friend's bday here on a sat night. Prices are shocking even for London - £1 for a dash of soda. Unbelievably tried to charge 12.5% service charge for table service for drinks only!!!! When we didn't pay this (already sneakily added to the bill) the server came back to us to question us on this if we were sure. .. later came back and told us his manager said that if we didn't pay the extortionate charge we would have to go to the bar. Thanks very.much, on top of the rip off prices we will now be walking the 20 yards to the bar for our drinks - the place was mostly empty at 10pm...Only plus is the nice decor.Waste of money, effort and time. There are much better places in the area...

Not sure if this was bad timing but we visited the restaurant at about 5:30pm on a Thursday and were seated quickly. There seemed to be rehearsals with a singer, which meant that we heard them sing the same song again and again, each time with the volume increasing and no-one checking to see the customer's reactions. We understand that practise is important but it was very difficult to hear across the table, as well as the waiter, and listening to the same song sung more than once. Food was fine, arrived quickly, thought the 12.5% tip was quite a lot. Might try it again at a later time.

We visited as a treat for my son's birthday. The decor is very well thought through and done well. The food is typical American comfort food. The milkshakes were excellent. The waitresses were friendly and attentive. I will definitely visit again.

The restaurant/bar has some real funky décor and even the toilets have the same theme ....staff are really great and there was never a wait at the bar even though it was busy .the food was ok, more of a snack than a meal, but that was all that was needed ....worth a look if you are in that part of town

My daughter chose this place for her birthday treat. It was 3pm so it was empty, the food was really nice which is why 3 stars but the service was laughable. The place was empty but wait staff just did not seem interested. We got the wrong bill how they managed that when we were 3 of 7 people there I cannot understand. The cocktails were OK just ok nothing special.Would I recommend this place? Probably for the food and maybe on a different staff shift where they actually are aware of the customers.

Visited far rock away with friends, we intended moving on after a drink. But the place was so welcoming and atmospheric that we ended up staying for the whole evening. Only leaving after finishing an amazing pizza the size of a dust bin lid, and a few bottles of excellent wine. The service was attentive and friendly and yes, indeed, Sally is a bundle of joy. I will defiantly be returning.

The interior of this place is out of this world and very tasteful.We were met by a really friendly waiter who sat us at our table.There is a great selection of beers and cocktails and we found the menu very affordable.Our food was presented very promptly and I was blown away by the fish stew! I would also suggest that you try the nuclear chicken wings if you like a challenge but be prepared to fight the spice!Once we finished our meal the waiter kindly showed us around the premises, we checked out the recently decorated private room and were given loads of information on the 600+ skateboards decorating the bars and ceiling.This place has such a good vibe and you'd miss out big time if you don't give it a try!

Me and some friends went here on a random night out and had a great time. Definitely worth a revisit. The pizzas were fantastic, they're quite large and more than sufficient for two-three people. Although a bit on the pricier side of some of the sides and smaller orders, the food was really good. The ambiance and music was great and the staff were friendly, particularly our server Sally, who was a bundle of joy. The only knockdown on this was that they didn't have a great selection of ciders, but the cocktails were fine enough. Would definitely revisit this place.

The interior of this Dinner-Lounge-Bar is fantastic. Great ambiance Street Art. We were very well served by a very friendly staff. Bar excellent. Meals are origingal, tapas served on skateboards. Good quality. You can eat late at night !!

The cocktails were amazing, the interior of the restaurant is absolutely fantastic i loved it, there's so much to look at!! Food was lovely too and not as expensive as I expected.Definitely want to go back here. Service is brilliant.

Good location in shore ditch, New York watering hole decor. Food was poor - cheeseburger was awful and the pecan pie was somehow burnt (???). Drinks were very expensive (14 quid for a class of Pinot ??). Service was laughably inept with multiple servers coming in 30 seconds, then voids for 50 minutes. Good sports watching

Our group experienced, categorically, the worst service I have experienced at a bar in the world. I just couldnt believe it. Our group was served by multiple inept staff, that could not speak an acceptable level of english, forgot our orders, mucked up our orders, blamed other staff for not being able to help us. It was a real shambles having table service but having to wait 30min for each drink. These issues did, however, distract me from thinking about how average the rest of the place is. No soul, crap atmosphere, not cheap and definitely not what you expect from the area. There are dozens of better, more interesting places right outside. Dont bother

Went there for my birthday and the drinks were great but then we had the food and it all went downhill. You expect much more for the price you pay and I've been to New York a few times and the food is nothing like what they do. New York is a million times better, it was just so simple. Place does look amazing so go for drinks and the atmosphere
