Family Pizza in Tendring

Not had a pizza from them in some time. I can only guess that the person making the pizza used to work for Domino's or pizza hut. The pizza was dry as a bone, so little tomato base that you couldn't even see that it had been applied. Very disappointed as previous pizzas have been great.

We ordered a large pizza this evening but unfortunately 😕 it was quite cold so was very disappointed as we often order pizzas from you and normally their okay, I rang to mention this to you but the reply I got was (it was probably left out for a while as we were busy) in a rude tone! no apologies or anything and the woman just hung up, I'm very disappointed with this tonight especially the attitude as I was very polite on the phone to you too pizza wasn't cheap spent around 20.00 not happy really.

Our family has been ordering from this place for years. Never an issue or a disappointment .great choice, great ingredients, well cooked and served. Always fast delivery of really hot food. Price wise, they're always fairly placed!

Working away and staying on a caravan park. I went off other reviews to order from here and I’m so glad I did the pizza is beautiful. It arrive quickly, hot and full of flavour. If you’re in Clacton I recommend this place

I walked into the shop saw Ryan behind the counter he was a very nice young man asking for what I want he was very polite to me when I was ordering and the food was amazing.

The best pizza in town, pizza is 10/10 absolutely full of flavour piping hot incredibly cheesy and best value for money, always comes within half hour and the staff are friendly and polite , I go here every time and the guy always knows what I want, proper New York pizza.

I never leave bad reviews as I don't think it is fair and we actually use this company often for our family takeaway nights and we have even ordered for parties however sadly once again our order has been delivered wrong. We won't be using the company anymore and will go to a reliable company. This is not the first time part of our meal has been forgotten about actually probably the 4th, we called up and asked for the rest of the food we ordered and within 10 minutes this was apparently sent out and we are still waiting an hour later. We have been given the wrong food and the majority of the time we have had to call up due to food being missing from our order! We have just phoned up to be told our order has been delivered to us and we had the correct food, when we described the front of our property they have realised the food has gone to the wrong place...again not the first time.

Made an £84 pound order food arrived freezing cold and very well done (burned) delivery driver tried to shame us in making such a big order like they don't want want to make money??? Won't be ordering again such a shame as we have heard good things

I normally don’t give bad reviews to small businesses but felt that I need to for our experience last Saturday. This pizza restaurant is one of our favourites because of their delicious pizzas. But last Saturday, one of our orders was a Chicken Feast. When we received our delivery, there was ham in all of our pizzas including the Chicken Feast. And we called to complain but the woman on the phone was just “sorry”. Now this might not be a big deal to others but for those with allergies or for us with religious reasons, this is not acceptable. So this is to warn others that you need to be very specific of your orders with them. Our order specified the toppings but they still got it wrong. So be careful guys. Who puts ham in a Chicken Feast pizza anyway?

Had two thin crust pizzas tonight which weren’t up to standard. They had soggy bottoms and couldn’t seperate Into slices as usual.

mediocre food. pretty sure i got scammed considering it said 1.5 litre bottle of soft drink and ended up getting 2 cans. wouldn’t recommend.

Family Pizza has the best pizza In Clacton! Always 5 stars! Great value ! Fresh tasty toppings ! Love the pizza base , I always buy the deep pan. Friendly and Fast delivery service, I have always been happy with the food, We would usually buy one of the deals until a couple of times the chips were rock hard so we stopped ordering the chips but the pizza was always awesome, until tonight we ordered deep pan but it must of been thin crust we received ? it was like cardboard the crust was nearly burnt and hard the cheese and base was cold and really rubbery. For the first time I was very disappointed, I am hoping they were extremely busy or something?

So we order 2 pizzas they come wrong they also come really flat and hardly any cheese.this was after the price increase which they eventually put back down again.so we order the following day and just explain wrong order and make a point of saying please get this one right.so it comes thin crust we asked deep pan and they try to trick me with flavourless ham instead of bacon .there pizza dough looks like it's been driven over by a steamroller. This business has gone down hill

Great pizza at a great price, staple go to within the area with super fast delivery! However, the £4 price increase on the any size pizza as of late is a shame.

I live in London and have wide access to many pizza places. This place is better then most pizza in London. They deliver super quick and the pizza always comes fresh and hot very quickly.

Since my mate told me about his experience with Family Pizza, they have been my family's default take away option. They have a good range of pizza's, fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked each time, and kitchen staff DO pay special attention to any special instructions. I'd definitely recommend their chicken strips. Seriously they are crispy, juicy, fried to perfection! Their chocolate chip cookies? Delicious! They're also really good value compared to Domino's or Papa John's. Best of all, they deliver fast. I mean REALLY fast. I think at one point I got my food within 12 minutes of ordering online!

Moved recently from Thurrock somebody recommended Family Pizza so thought we would try . Well it didn't disapoint its the best pizza and garlic bread we have ever had not greasy could eat all of base . Will definitely be our new local takeaway thank you 😊

Ordered 2 pizzas and one arrived wrong. Rang to complain and lady on phone was fine, arranged a replacement, and told us to keep it. Delivery driver was very rude. They asked to see the incorrect pizza and take it, then complained we had eaten some of the incorrect pizza "because there couldn't be anything wrong with it if we had eaten some" but failed to understand it wasnt what we ordered therefore not as described. Failed to apologize for mistake or give any kind of customer appeasement, ie. Sorry for the inconvenience. Very Rude for customer service industry. The customer is always right! We do not pay good money for such poor service or to have people with such terrible attitude on our doorstep. We will not be using this pizza place again after this appaling treatment. You have lost our custom! Our family and friends will no longer use your company either after witnessing your delivery drivers attitude through our open windows.

The Pizzas 🍕 & cookies 🍪 are unreal... so much better than the two national pizza delivery places. Unfortunately the nachos are poor they are microwaved and have too much mozzarella on them.

During our 25+ years of living in Walthamstow, London, we had had our share of pizzas from all the big names and the not-so-big-ones! Having moved to Walton-on-the-Naze towards the end of November 2020, my wife and I ordered some pizza from The Family Pizza Company today. We didn’t know what to expect but we were taken aback by the sheer quality of the entire meal deal! The pizza was SO VERY GOOD, and most importantly it was hot!!! - it was the best pizza we have ever tasted!!! The salad was tastefully done. The chips were lovely and hot. The staff taking the order over the phone was friendly and cheerful. We couldn’t have asked for a better quality pizza deal in every way. The best pizza I've had for along time . I normally order from pizza hut with a 50% discount. Family pizza clacton were cheaper without any discount. All 3 pizzas we had were tasty fresh with toppings right to the edge. My wife normally leaves the dry edges but all was eaten and no waste. Brilliant service so all in all 10 out if 10. this is a revised review disgusted got a pizza for a deaf person who lives in a flat said they was at place and standing on street knocking on door then took 17 minutes to get to place they was out side how. Not even on CCTV at flats disgusted and the same driver who took it to wrong place last time

Ordered a pizza at 3pm from the website, the ETA for delivery was 40minutes, the guy was here at 3.20pm, really quick and brilliant service, and he was very polite and helpful! The pizza was lovely, ingredients were fresh, not frozen and they use mozzarella instead of some generic misterious cheese like big multinationals. Finally i had a pizza which tastes like a real Pizza should! Word of a true Italian! Thumbs up to Family Pizza Clacton, will surely order again!

Loved it, service was impeccable really helpful lady helped us make our decison, as we were bickering over what toppings to have. She sorted us out with her tip for a half and half and she was really friendly and her smile was very welcoming. Pizza and chips were lovely.

Just do not ever order from them online, they will scam you by charging your money and forget to deliver your pizza or it will get delivered 2 days late. Disgusting

Really nice pizza most of the time. Their policy when they make a mistake leaves a a lot to be desired, whom am i kidding. A f...joke. Ordered two pizzas, one was wrong, phoned, they declared the mistake. I said going to bed, the nice lady on the phone said they would replace but credit or replace another time was holding no promises from her. (manager absent at the time) RIGHT she was. Phoned them the next day and thought i was being fair in i'll order another pizza and you replace your mistake. No. No fairness. no compromise, no customer service. If you order hope they get it right!! or i hold no liability that its edible!

Ordered pizza at 16:43 it arrived and hour and a half later. Then I went to open box of cookies I ordered and found them all burnt and unedible spoke to them they said they would refund cost of cookies but didn't. Will not be ordering again. Stay away from this one there's loads of other good ones out there.

Ordered a can of coke as part of my order and PAID for it. When order arrived it wasn't there so the driver said he would come back with it...but he never bothered to come back. Wouldn't order again as id be worried about what else id pay for without getting it.

Never order late, specially if you use as a last resort, because they will take your order, confirm it, and then let you down. I work late and wanted some food, but it never came along, THNAKS!!!!!
