Falling Down a Mountain in Highland

Lucky find right by the road, stopped and parked under trees by cute stone building. Courtyard tables outside and comfortable inside dining tables. Great coffee and delicious homemade cakes. Variety of local giftware to purchase. Clean toilet facilities. Very happy we stopped.

Great cafe. We stopped for lunch. Menu a little limited but very good quality and Coffee excellent. (Much better coffee than a local bothy).

Stopped for lunch. Menu very limited! I had a toastie which was soft and soggy. I would say it had been microwaved! The latte was barely warm with very little coffee in it! I told woman it wasn’t hot and she offered to microwave it! There was no apology! I wouldn’t waste my time stopping here!

This was the worst place I’ve been to in a long time. Toastie was not a toastie it had been made in the morning then microwaved the cheese was on top and well as inside with ham, bread became doughy because of the microwaving. Coffe was weak and tepid would not recommend to anyone so sorry.

Great little place to stop for a bite to eat. Toasties were spot on. Lovely views from the window and plenty of seating. Definitely stop here for food or even just a coffee or refreshing drink.

I would give this place 10 stars if I could. Soup is incredible, toasties and sandwiches are the best In the Highlands. It is owned by the loveliest couple. All the staff are fab.

It’s been 4 years since our last visit and during this time the business has changed hands. I am pleased to say the excellent selection of home baking and tasty hot snacks continue to be served with with a friendly smile. We enjoyed the chicken and cheese toastie followed by a blueberry scone, both choices delicious. Coffee was superb too. Highly recommended.
