Fabio's Express in Sunderland

This is my absolute favourite takeaway! Ive been a regular for a while now, and the food is always amazing. I recently tried their Sunday dinner, and it's by far the best I've had in a long time. Highly recommended!

The food was delicious and huge. It’s the first takeaway that has filled my teenagers (bottomless pits). Definitely will be ordering again. Sons Pollo Inferno was unreal (best chunky chips) and the chicken wrap was so big I could only eat 1/3.

Very nice quality food and great portion sizes.

We have never had a bad meal from both italian and Sunday lunch. Can be pricey if not buying in happy hour however food is restaurant quality so its worth it. Portions sizes are huge especially kids meals. Delivery always quick

“Do you want some pasta with your oil?” Ordered 2 Carbonaras… swimming in oil, had to drain it off in the sink.

delivery driver was horrendous. they got lost and rang for directions which is absolutely fine however, they refused to say where they were making it impossible to direct them. took my husband walking the streets to find him!

Know it was new year but not the usual standard I expect/get from Fabios. Garlic bread was missing - didn’t bother reporting it as didn’t expect to get another one delivered in time to eat meal. Prawns and mushrooms were nice but bread they were served with was rock hard and not edible. Mains were ok, steak fine, chicken a little dry, chips were luke warm. Desserts had been put in with hot food so tiramisu and cheesecake were just melted messes.

There's been a few times now where we've ordered food, it's been marked as delivered, but never turned up. They don't answer phone or texts either. Had to get a refund through Just Eat. Won't be ordering from you ever again.

over an hour late..then missing main meal.rang said would bring straight our.still waiting 40 mins later and still has came. spoiled whole meal with my family.had to eat the food that came as was getting cold.but no lasguna.

Waited 2 and a half hours for delivery.

Still hasn’t arrived. You expect a delay on a New Year’s Eve but it’s now 1 and a half hours late. Can’t get through to the restaurant.

Over an hour late, pasta has spilt in the bag, carbonara was very oily, potato skins were cold!

Pre ordered food for 9.30 pm, received a message saying order will arrive soon at around 9.45 pm, still no food so called food hub (apparently on the business line) as the live chat was a 4 hour wait. She called the restaurant then called me back and said the owner will call me (they didn't) but I told her I just wanted a refund. Was referred to live chat for this, order arrived at 10.30 pm (presumably made after the lady had called as whem she called back and said it was being prepared) told the driver we had requested a refund and we went taking the food

Food was tasteless and bland. Then we have all woken this morning with diahrea and bad stomachs. Won’t order from here again. Tried calling but not open

Booked with 90 minutes in advance however still super late meaning food had spoiled and was cold upon arrival.

Never again. Ordered for 7pm didn’t arrive until 745. Worst takeaway ever, tasteless and burnt , definitely wound not recommend this

Ordered two Parmos both were burnt, tried to cover with sauce however all you could taste was burnt

So the food is lovely, really great Italian takeout and doesn't overcharge for what it is. However this particular order arrived very late, and very cold. Yet after calling to let the restaurant know, they immediately sent another one out for free. Can't ask for much more than that.

Order was on time, didn’t hear me door and the app kept saying my order was delayed, called the restaurant twice was advised they were sending new one, didn’t turn up would like a refund

Horrendous take out service. Disgusting g attitude from owner when my food was not delivered refused refund. No thought of customer. PLEASE RETHINK ORDERING FROM THESE FOOD SERVICE THIEVES..

Our favourite restaurant quality takeaway. Food was beautiful as always but delivery time really let them down this time. From ordering to delivery was 2 hours. This is very unusual for Fabius as usually quick delivery.

I ordered the salmon which is described to come with baby prawns in a lobster bisque. I was already eating when I realised the sauce was full of mussels and squid. It would be lovely but I’m allergic to molluscs and had a reaction. Usually impressed but to not have mussels and squid in the description is really concerning.

mash used to be buttery but not now, also they applied pepper to veg which should be optional not forced, was still OK but used to be much better for alot less money when it come to Sunday lunch here

garlic dip was missing from potato skins and the chicken kiev was swimming in butter sauce (did not read menu correctly so my fault) on the plus side the cheesecake was gorgeous. I'll stick to my usual of Pollo Pepe in future

Food is absolutely amazing, delivery took some time however so worth the wait and very apologetic at the door. This is the second time we have been and both times food was delicious. Can’t rate highly enough. 5 stars.

We have used this restaurant many times, and every time the food is early or on time, never late. The food is always piping hot, delicious and plentiful.

The burger bun was so hard it couldn’t be eaten.

I ordered takeout so can't speak for the atmosphere, but the food is a step ahead in quality and flavour. The pizza was nicer than any of the takeout places I've used around the area. The delivery guy was cool too. I'd add a photo, but the food went down too quickly.

I never leave a review and the fact that I am shows how raging I am ha! The whole order was wrong. Pizza wrong. No starter, dessert or extra sauces. Potato skins sent instead of chips. So disappointed!

all the carbonaras had a awful taste to them. and the caesar salad, all we could taste was a awful sour taste, croutons were just chopped bread. wasted over £50 to only eat the chips & potato skins. food was binned and had to make something else which was disappointing.

Always early and prompt delivery, can’t express how tasty every sauce is meat or pasta my personal favourite is the Diane it is gorgeous, extremely fresh meat and taste is above and beyond! Better than most Italian restaurants.

Sunday Lunch delivered to you door is to die for 10/10

Had the chicken with peppercorn sauce with veg and shared a garlic bread with cheese. I literally inhaled it, it was so good!!!

Ordered some food took 1hour and 30 minutes to come! Food finally came order was wrong! When we rang up the woman on the phone tried to call me a liar and her attitude was absolutely disgusting. The proceeded to put the phone down, when I tried to phone back she would not answer the phone. Tried to phone off my husbands phone and she answered again with the worst attitude ever I honestly don’t know how she has a job because the was she speaks to people is a joke! Will not be ordered from here ever again because of this reason.

Ordered a Sunday roast delivery two and a half hours ago and still not arrived. When I called to ask when it would be delivered the woman on the phone was very rude and said she couldn't understand me and hung up, called the second time and was told it was on its way but still have not received my meal, called the 3rd time and once again was told it was o its way but still no food.

We ordered from Fabios on Saturday evening for delivery. We ordered a chicken wrap, carbonara and a garlic bread. The food took 2 hours 15 minutes to arrive and when it did eventually arrive, it was barely warm. The food on a whole was average. The chicken wrap was just okay. A lot of garlic sauce and not enough chicken, in my opinion. The carbonara was tasty, but rather oily. The garlic bread was nice and very strong.

Take out only. Very good Sunday lunch. We've never tried their Italian food.

First time ordering from here and it’s safe to say I am absolutely horrified and will NOT be returning. To begin, I found the woman on the phone to be quite abrupt. Went to collect and was just told what I owed no please or anything. I then asked if I could pay by card. I was ignored. A few moments go by and she came out with “ I told you like I’ve told everybody all day it’s cash only” she most certainly did not. But then proceeded to the pull the cash machine out when I’d said I wouldn’t have came had she said that as I don’t have any cash in me. Asked for garlic in our carbonara instead got chicken which tasted like it was 3 weeks out of date. Didn’t taste like a carbonara at all. Picked all the chicken out and tried to eat the rest but was completely put off. The minute I put the food in the car there was a strong perfume/sweet alcohol smell coming from the food. When I got home and opened the box of chips it was coming from them. I have no idea what was put in them but the taste and smell of them was horrific. The ingredients, meat especially needs looked into and I think they need to do better than the chav they have representing their buisness. Zero customer service skills at all!!

Always been a regular here, every week usually! Cajun pasta is my regular order; however, recently I haven been unable to finish my meal as the chicken has had a horrendous taste. Not just a one off either, happened twice in the space of 2 weeks. Not sure if they’ve changed supplier or I’ve just been unlucky to have to portions with terrible chicken. Hopefully they manage to fix this issue, as the food is usually delicious…
