Fabio's Bar in County Durham

Fabio’s unhinged night is only the second club to acknowledge the queer population of Durham (not so much so as to become a gay club) and yet, it is dominated by heterosexuals and, exists in a heteronormative paradigm, Queer people get fetishised, served on a platter for commercialisation and still FORCES those same people to queue for over 60mins despite having a PAID for ticket. Avoid at all costs - awful awful awful place.

Ace little restaurant when we arrived there people are queuing at the top of the stairs, which I don’t normally do and would have left but a lad said this is nothing they normally queue down the stairs. We only waited five minutes and we were led in to what was a typical old school Italian with bistro chairs etc, all I can say is go we had mixed antipasto which was the largest ever then pasta mains with a bottle of wine and a beer under. £60 all of which was bang on.

Good for a small club, good bar prices if you manage to find your way to the front. Accept suggestions for songs. Best night out in Durham

Those stairs accessing the place are dangerous. How this bar got a licence to serve alcohol with a dangerous means of access is beyond me. One member of my family lost his life because of those lethal stairs.

I attended the restaurant with 3 friends before we went to the Cathedral. The food was delicious and the portions were very generous. I would definitely go back.

Probably a good atmosphere when there’s people in. But the cocktail are bad a zombie isn’t a zombie here and for £5 the rest isn’t Worth it

Such a good vibe! Dance floor and bar downstairs and seating upstairs. Super friendly and efficient bar staff. Good selection of cocktails and great music!

Nice bar, outside patio is good. Live music too and DJ in other room. Good night out.

Un bon lieu pour les cocktails, mais surtout pour la jam session du dimanche soir d'où émergent de jeunes talents.

Entertaining and fun atmosphere

There were a number of flights of stairs to reach the venue. It was worth the climb. Good sized bar , great tunes good drinks selection. Cocktails were great.

For years this place has been my favourite place in Durham. Cheap drinks and good music.

Bruschetta was really good. The steak was medium to well done and very chewy. I had asked for medium rare. The hot chocolate fudge cake was good. Overall fairly enjoyable.

Lots of stairs and kinda hidden. The bartender was so friendly and drinks were nice. It's a nice space to hang out in after dinner downstairs.

The third floor probably wasn't the safest place for a bar but... Yaknow... It serves drinks.

After almost getting my knob out in the bar and smashing my foot jumping down the stairs it was easy to forgive that they didnt serve redbull.

Great bar for a night out. Small and unique, with a great atmosphere. Located on the top floor, it can be difficult to access for people with disabilities.
