Lovely little tea room. Very nice food and the cakes looked fantastic although we did refrain from those (being diabetic) Good service, really helpful with food intolerance and although there was a mix up with the order (which we didn't mention) everything was first class. Would recommend if you are out that way.

We ate a really great vegetarian breakfast, with proper vegetable sausages (rather than a fake meat offering). My hot chocolate tasted just like a melted chocolate bar (purple wrapper). Our dog was welcomed in the same warm & friendly manner as us; tge staff were all so lovely. The food is delicious and the items for sale were really tempting too. A wonderful start to our day, thank you :)

My wife had a hot chocolate that she said tasted like melted chocolate & was delicious; & my late was smooth & nicely un-bitter. I'd definitely recomend a visit!

Four family members had a delicious lunch yesterday, as always well cooked and served, at a very reasonable price. With recent cost of living increases everywhere it is amazing that you can still get such good quality food in lovely surroundings at such good prices. Well done to all who make it so welcoming and enjoyable. See you again soon.

Came across the tea rooms whilst biking in the area during covid tier 3 restrictions which limited the experience to take away only, which turned out to be stunning. Without thinking we sat outside on picnic tables which we weren't permitted to do under the restrictions. We were quickly asked to move but in such a polite and apologetic manner that our eviction was a conversation starterCoffee was superb, toasted teacakes were stunning. Will be going back. Despite tier 3 limitations, there were cycle racks to use which is a huge plus when trecking in the area. Massive thumbs up to the lovely owner.

read the reviews and thought we would have a drive out (about 1 hour from derby) on saturday (10/10/20). arrived, went in and was met with silence,no greeting whatsoever. we stood there like lemons. surely in these difficult times where small business's are crying out for custom and money they would be going out their way to make you feel welcome - not here. after about 4-5 mins we was shown to a table - no talk from the member of staff - nothing. a very small limited menu just pinned to the wall at our table,so a guessing game by us - is this the menu,do they come to the table or do we have to go to order food - nothing. WAKE UP staff or you may do that when you have to close with job losses - whats wrong with people.ordered food arrived after a while - nothing special, miserable staff. paid, not asked if everthing was ok - nothing again. poor owners/staff. wasted journey. will never return.

Called in here for breakfast and was not disappointed. Having visited a few times we had not been post Covid 19 and we weren’t disappointed. A well laid out and spotlessly clean cafe. There were dividers between tables and tables were all spread out. Staff kept their distance and cleaned regularly. The breakfast was lovely and at first glance looked small but was just right. I think we may order some additions in future as noticed black pudding on the menu so would add that one on next time. The toast was gorgeous, hot, well buttered and just lovely.

We booked for lunch - to build our own "afternoon tea" depending what caught our eyes, what a great idea!It was a rainy day, so we started with a couple of lovely toasties and an ale for one of us ... then followed up with scone & cream & jam and a pot of tea. To finish off we had a large slice of almond bakewell tart and an amazing peanut stack (chocolate brownie, peanut buttercream & crunchy layers all topped with peanuts & caramel). The sausage rolls looked great, the biscoff millionaire slice looked really tempting but we couldn't manage another morsel so headed off full & happy into the rain for our 4 mile walk back.Excellent service, good spacing & cleanliness and very tasty food.

Went during an Eat Out to Help Out day so very busy. After being seated for 15 minutes had to go inside to remind the staff that we had arrived for our pre booked afternoon tea. Cleared this had not been communicated to the kitchen. We had reserved an outside table. My seating position overlooked the bins. Sort of ruined the experience so asked to change tables. Not the fault of the tea room but the property next door also had the builders in so was not the most tranquil atmosphere. The afternoon tea itself was decent as opposed to memorable.

The owner, who has a rescue dog came over and broke up the sausage and gave it to my Sisters dog. Such a friendly team of staff and the owner was so interested in our dogs up bringing. The tea room is situated in the centre of Eyam and you can sit in the window area of the tea room and see out over Eyam village. The owner prepares and cooks all the food and the menu is ‘plain and simple’ No high priced dishes here, just plain honest wholesome food. Ideal for Dale walkers to enjoy.! We rang the tea rooms the day before to enquire about vegan options and the owner was very helpful and interested in how to cater for a vegan diet. The food was delicious and we felt very well looked after. Thank you!

What a fabulous tea room. Indoor and outdoor seating.... cream tea is super fab. Plain scones available as well as fruited...clotted cream served cold brilliant on the warm scone... proper china tea cups... decaff tea available for the other half!!! she'd reccommend the peanut butter and caramel cake... in fact she brought extra to bring home for the family.... Provided the new ownership don't change it too much it's a definite five star place.

Called in at the Eyam Tea Rooms after a long walk. Really polite, friendly, helpful staff, easy, atmosphere, nothing too much trouble and a good lunch. The Derbyshire oat cake with cheese and mushrooms was delicious and the Ploughman’s my partner had was a ‘proper’ Ploughman’s and included a slice of fruit cake. Would definitely head here next time we’re in the area.

Visited Eyam 30th June whilst staying at Stonely Middleton for the weekend. I am allergic to gluten, intolerant to dairy & vegetarian so follow a vegan diet when out to be safe. We made a bee line for this cafe as we researched on trip advisor for vegan & gf which this place advertises and we were very disappointed. There we lots of option for gf & a separate gf menu but hardly anything for vegan. NO vegan cakes either gf or normal. Lots of gluten free cakes though. All I was able to have was a baked potato, no butter as no dairy free option & topped with baked beans. It was very dry. They did have soya milk so I was able to have a latte but the first one they bought me was made with cows milk. Luckily I hadn’t had any when they changed it realising their mistake. I was offered tomatoes & mushrooms on gf bread but seeing as I had just had that for breakfast, I didn’t really want it again. I really just wanted a coffee & a cake like the rest in my party.

A great menu of sandwiches, jackets potatoes and breakfasts, but save room for the cakes and puddings! The best thing about this place though is the staff. Definitely recommend this place.

I visited these tearooms with my daughters on Friday 24th May. I have been to other tea shops in Bakewell, but Toscas is by far the best. We had afternoon tea for three of us, we sat outside in the court yard. The afternoon tea arrived and there was lots of lovely cake and sandwiches, beautifully presented, and our host friendly and gave us a warm welcome. We really enjoyed our afternoon tea, very civilised, we will defiantly be visiting again. In fact we will have a day out to bakewell just to visit Toscas .

Lovely venue for a mid morning brunch, limited seating but such a pleasant cafe.

Fantastic cafe, the icing on the cake (no pun intended) being the birds feeding next to the window. The staff are friendly and efficient and the the food is of a good standard and reasonably priced. I can't understand the few negative reviews, maybe some folk have unfeasibly high standards/expectations?

Friendly staff, generous, well cooked breakfast. Highly recommend. We'll definitely call again. Dog friendly too which is a bonus.

I was really hoping for the wholesome, home cooked food that the price tag promised. The bean casserole tasted like a tin of baked beans with a whole load of dried sage stirred in. The salad could have been bought in a bag at Asda. I won't be going back.
