We recently hired the upstairs room, for a joint birthday party. This venue is ideal for hosting groups of up to 40 people. The owners can't do enough for you. The buffet was lovely and they were on hand all night to help with drinks. There was plenty of entertainment too - in house karaoke even an option. Would highly recommend and not budget busting either.

That place was a total disaster! Freezing cold with the doors open, and those burgers were like cardboard, missing half the stuff they promised. We had to beg for sauces, and they came way too late. The BBQ wings were a joke, no sauce, and they served them after we finished our mains! The staff seemed clueless. Such a shame, the old owners were amazing , but now it's a total letdown. Place has hit rock bottom.

Fantastic place and food, I'd booked on the old website so there was no actual booking made but they accommodated us, good selection of food and drinks.

The "smoked chicken" tacos used tasteless boiled chicken, they got my po boy order wrong, they overloaded both dishes with bitter vegetables, the "cajun" chips are aggressively average, and the drink prices are truly ridiculous (£2.50 per can! Insulting!). The po boy, wrong as it may be, had tasty shrimp and soft flavourful bread which did fill me up so while I am not terribly displeased with that I don't think I'll be adding 'The Smokin Duck' to my regulars.

Amazing venue. Great and varied selection of drinks and food. I had home-made chicken tenders and katsu sauce for starters and spicy gringo for mains.

We had my husbands surprise birthday party and they are amazing. From start to finish they did everything they could to help me organise it. Nothing was to much trouble and then on the night the food and service was outstanding. They constantly checked on things and kept asking me if everything was okay. Definitely would recommend them for parties or just for food as you won't be disappointed.

Really enjoyed my night here. Informal dining with a nice atmosphere, good selection of beers and cocktails and a fantastic menu of American inspired food. Service was excellent and the people who work here are really nice and pleasant. Will definitely visit again, next time for breakfast.

Myself and 5 friends all had great meals, fantastic menu, great vibe and friendly staff that were super attentive.

I feel really bad giving this review as the staff were lovely and have a great selection of food but there was so many little burnt bits all over my food. I think they need to clean the pots and pans. I think for £10 for pancakes and a few bits of banana is a little bit steep too.

First time going in for Sunday Lunch and it exceed expectations, amazing food great value and great staff

Been looking forward to going but sadly did not live up to reviews. Plus points WONDERFUL attentive staff such that you did not want to raise an issue with, good value drinks, decor. Poor points Food I was served was Luke warm (a pie and it wasn’t busy so no excuse) meat too hard needed more braising & overfaced with too many chips and very overly done roast carrots. Pastry topping was good. Too much food on the plate, sometimes less can be more. Disappointing and sadly I feel is trying to be too many things to everyone. We thought it was tapas but that wasn’t available. Perhaps a bit more clarity would be helpful regarding the menus. Although I didn’t book I’d tried to look at the menus before but there was no evening menu on the site. I hear breakfast is amazing so might have to try that next time

Lovely gem in Alsager, our favourite local. Fantastic Sunday lunch/tea time treat. It's small but super friendly. Best to book to grab a table. 2 cocktails for £12.

Went here for the 1st time tonight and wow! The food was so good! Full of flavour, definitely a 10/10 Lovely feel to the place, owners were amazing too. Can not wait for our Christmas do in a few weeks! Would highly recommend a visit.

Absolutely awful! Just had a takeaway my breakfast was one of the worst I’ve had normally amazing but if you get a takeaway apparently they don’t care my “toast” was still bread the breakfast was stone cold and I had to put the sausage in the air fryer because I wasn’t convinced it was cooked it was the whitest sausage I’d seen. Don’t know what’s happened but don’t think I’ll go bk after that for a £9 breakfast it was very disappointing

A bit of a let down. Was such a nice restaurant/cafe but the food wasn't as good. My partner had the vegetarian pancakes breakfast and LOVED IT!! I had the vegan full english and only enjoyed the hash browns and sausage. the mushrooms were full of herbs and spices and ruined it for me. a big lump of spinach and cold beans. As well as having lots of flies hovering around my food. We ordered tea and it came in a mug already poured with milk, no tea pot...(i hate this) i was confused with this. I couldn't touch my tea as it had old coffee stains drips on the side as if it wasn't washed properly. the sugar next to us had lots of empty sugar sachets and old tissues with food on. Was shocked with the bill though, was really cheap for what we had. I wouldn't be apposed to returning and trying something new as my partner really liked it.

Went last night for the 1st time since moving to Alsager 2 years ago. We've been missing out! This place is ace, great staff, fab service, brilliant atmosphere, great range of drinks at reasonable prices. A sort of Mediterranean vibe in my opinion but brilliant whatever. The lady serving us was lovely and made the night really comfortable and welcome. I'll be back!!!

I'm originally from Alsager and this place opened after if left. I however popped in for lunch today and was very impressed with their offering. I had the Chicken Burger, my Wife had the Chicken strip's, we were both very impressed with both the quality and quantity. I'll definitely go again when back this way.

Wow ***** Buffet Thank you so much to Heather and Nick for the incredible buffet you provided for our wedding party. You catered for 100 people but I think the it would have been enough for 200. What a spread you put on for us even the vegan menu you provided was a hit. Thank you again and we can’t wait to come in and have the bbq sharing platter.

What a cracking venue , food was amazing . Staff were extremely welcoming very polite and the menu selection is amazing , nice to see local craft beer on tap as well , only thing letting it down was the local loud mouth lingering at the bar making a nice Sunday afternoon lunch not so . The atmosphere was ruined by the foul remarks and bad attitude . Food portions were extremely generous and the restaurant it self was delightfully decorated, just let down by one customers behaviour

Hard, burnt fried eggs and sausages, hash browns like rocks, I would have expected much better, especially given the price.

Brilliant for family breakfast! Their pancakes were nice and fluffy combined with their maple syrup. Biscoff hot chocolate was amazing, highly recommend. Staff were super nice and very accommodating. Would recommend this place to start your day with some good food!

Unfortunately the table and handrails are very sticky. But the service has improved.

Called in on Sunday 16th July at 10.45am for breakfast. We had been once before a few weeks earlier after a recommendation from one of my customers (Mot testing station) really enjoyed it . However on our recent visit we were told we had to book, there was two of us and at least four empty tables . The staff were different from our previous visit. We were disappointed and shocked that you had to book for breakfast. Oh well we went along the road and had a lovely breakfast each and a few cups of coffee.

I wish I took pictures but I was too invested in the food and drink. The food was unreal. I had the Jurassic pork and my wife had the Mac and briskit sandwich. Tender, tasty, lovely. Everything was freshly made and we will absolutely come again. Friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. We had a couple of drinks each and a nacho starter. Came to just under 60 quid. Very reasonable

I recently had the pleasure of stopping by 'Ey up duck' for a scrumptious breakfast, and let me tell you, it was absolutely fabulous! The place has a really clean and cosy vibe. The service was top-notch! The staff were super friendly and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed throughout my meal. I truly felt taken care of. The food. Wow! Not only was it served quickly, but it was also beautifully presented. And let me tell you, their classic breakfast is the real deal! The bacon was perfectly crispy and super tasty sausages. They gladly provided oat milk for my tea, which shows how accommodating they are too. All in all, my experience at 'Ey up duck' was incredible. The combination of a delicious classic breakfast, friendly service, a cosy atmosphere, and their willingness to cater to individual needs made it a memorable visit. I can't recommend this place enough, especially if you're looking for a fantastic breakfast spot with a welcoming vibe. You won't be disappointed!

We had an evening meal here a few weeks ago which was lovely and decided we wanted to try the breakfast. We had some friends come up to visit from Kent. We know the place is quite small and due to its reputation can get busy. So we phoned to check for availability and they kindly agreed to squeeze us all in. The breakfast was lovely and there was more than enough to satisfy your appetite and get you fueled up for the day. I would definitely recommend either an evening meal, breakfast or lunch. Great place and really friendly service.

Slow service, the owner was lovely and compensated however. Food is just average. The staff were lovely and friendly though. Ok as a one off, sadly I probably wouldn't return.

My wife and I decided on the spur of the moment to visit this restaurant. It is in our home village and very convenient for us. We were very pleasantly surprised to see how well the small unit had been laid out and were greeted by a very friendly and enthusiastic member of the team. Once seated we ordered a simple basic meal each and waited whilst the meals were prepared freshly. The rest is simply explained by the fact that we were very pleased with everything about the place and left well fed, well pleased and determined to return at some point. Excellent place, excellent service and excellent food, thank you!

Four of us had a fantastic breakfast/brunch cooked for us yesterday and the service was great from Heather and the team. Quality produce and well made/presented. We shall definitely be back to try the varied evening menus they do too. Best brunch in town

Being for breakfast this morning the food is out of this world I had the breakfast burrito what a meal it's that good I had to book for next Monday the staff are so polite n friendly

Used to love this place, but since the change of management the food just isn't up to scratch. Portion sizes are good and great drink choices, but the food just doesn't sit right. Stodgy, too salty. Strong taste of tarragon in gravy which overpowers all the other flavours and completely ruins the meal.

Decided to book in for a Sunday lunch after reading some other reviews. Really happy that we did as we were served a great Sunday lunch. We all had starters, myself going for the mussels which didn't disappoint and were well presented and very tasty coupled with a nice portion size as were the other starters. We all went for the giant Yorkshire pudding which contains all other elements of this amazing lunch, parsnips, carrots, broccoli, red cabbage, roast and mashed potato and stuffing. The veg was cooked perfectly for us, still having that little bit of bite, nothing was overcooked and it was all piping hot and tasty. By far one of the nicest Sunday lunches that you would possibly compare to one of your own, but without the effort of cooking it yourself. We will be back for this again and to try out some of the other items on the menu.

Not just the best Sunday lunch but the best meal I have ever eaten! Two of us went and shared the Sunday lunch platter and it did not disappoint there was a mountain of food brought out from melt in your mouth meats, beautifully seasoned vegetable and the gravy was just incredible - they even packaged up the food we couldn’t finish so we could enjoy it all over again later on! The place was spotless and the staff were so friendly and welcoming which created a great atmosphere. I will be recommending Ey Up Duck to everyone as there is not a fault to be found!

Brilliant place, friendly, excellent food and fun. The small plates with a group are great, a bit of everything, after all variety is the spice of life. And also alcohol.

Loved this - came on Asian night (by accident) and had delicious food: pho broth and pad Thai , 2 courses for £15. Couldn’t fault it. Nice friendly ambience and staff too, and clearly valued by locals. Also, loved the wallpaper!

Come along to Pie night every Monday! The pies and accompaniments are spectacular! A delicious home cooked meal incl a drink for £10. The team are a lovely bunch too, and go out of their way to make sure you have the best experience!

Lattes, delicious bacon baguettes and Mississippi mud pies for take away.... Highly recommend. Had several orders from here. You should visit.

Our first visit and we will definitely return. 6 of us arrived for brunch and all left incredibly happy and full. The staff work extremely hard to make sure everything is right, always with a smile. There’s no rush, everything is served freshly made to order and piping hot. We started with coffee which was as nice as you can get and then moved onto brunch. Everyone ordered something different and all chose well! Thank you, we will return for more!!

Couldn't fault the food or service. Went for breakfast, and it was delicious. If I could make one suggestion, it would be to have a supply of marmalade to be able to offer with toast. This obviously isn't a deal breaker, hahaha, and I will definitely return.

Food is fantastic, great themed food nights. Asian night and Tapas are so good. The staff were ever so friendly and the service was really good. Had a great time, would thoroughly recommend going here. Was busy in the evening so it would probably be best to book. Great range of beers on too and cocktail happy hours.

Wish I could give 6 stars!! Tried the Asian menu tonight and just WOW amazing!. I don't think there's nothing these guys can't put there hand to whether be it Asian , Tapas , American smokehouse or the like. Super friendly staff in a quirky little restaurant with a great atmosphere that also do fab cocktails Try you won't be disappointed, highly recommend

First and last visit. Our table was near the back door and to say it was cold is a understatement. The rear fire escape was open for some reason and the cold wind coming through was ridiculous. Asked staff to shut, but she just shrugged. The food was tasteless and over cooked had a pork dish that was like eating through a old shoe. Pulled pork was just chunks. Much better places locally to eat.

Can't fault this place. We always get a lovely greeting. The food is delicious and recommend the cocktails and coffee. It has a quirky atmosphere which we like. We prefer popping in for breakfast or lunch or coffee and cake

I don't know if this place has changed hands but went today for Sunday dinner. Service was awful, waited ages even to be asked what drinks we wanted and the food took ages! Had a tiny amount of chicken on my Sunday dinner and I do not know what was on the red cabbage but it was awful :( Please start doing coke or pepsi on draught, the bottled ones are flat and tasteless. Kitchen looks unclean. Just a very unprofessional environment, for example putting the noisy Dyson hoover on when people are eating. Not a good experience. Suggest the whole place had an overhaul. Standards have dropped a lot.

Free car park just around the corner. Very welcoming. Drinks were good quality. Menu didnt have a huge choice but had some unusual dishes that I haven't seen elsewhere. Order was taken at the table and didnt take very long. Every dish we had was beautiful. Even spilt the bill for each person when asked. Will definitely come back again.

More a café bar than a restaurant, I thought, but a nice place all the same. About 10 of us in for brunch and the waitress working alone looked after us well. Thought I'd try the Canadian Veggie, not sure it would work, but it did. Would definitely return.

Not our first visit as we live locally. Loads of choice on the menu . However it was cold inside the restaurant ( kept my jacket on) and when the food arrived that was cold within minutes. Staff friendly and helpful . Disappointing

I’m super fussy about my Sunday roasts but wow, blown away! Best nut roast I’ve had, vegetarian friendly, the dream. Friend had the giant Yorkshire and was in love. We will be coming back

Very disappointing visit today. Had seen advertised on facebook there was space for breakfasts, and drinks around the bar all day. Was walking past and thought I would pop in for a coffee and sit at the bar, was not expecting a table or food. I walked in and the 2 ladies behind the bar greeted me, I said that I would just like a coffee at the bar when they were ready. They told me that it would be 20 minutes wait, just for a cup of coffee. It is a real shame because I have usually had such good experiences at Ey Up Duck. I understand places and people are busy but I ended up going elsewhere instead where they looked just as busy. Sadly felt let down on this occasion.

Eyup Duck is my favourite place ever! The food is amazing, the staff are lovely, the restaurant is so cute. Sanitary products are provided in the toilers which to me is a great touch! Would love if they delivered to me in Butt Lane though :(
