Not quite a Chinese takeaway or a chip shop. Needs to do one thing or the other but do it well. Nice and friendly, good value but food not that great. Sorry evergreen.

The staff here are 10/10 very lovely people and I have never had a bad meal from here. I have tried the Chinese food here, and it was very nice. The £18 box I ordered was amazing value, and the food tasted good and fresh. The chip shop side of things is no different if you want proper chippy chips this is the place for you. The chips are 11/10. Honestly cannot recommend this place enough!

Their bento boxes are massive, filling and worth every penny. And their sushi is an absolute steal, some of the freshest sushi around here. Amazing to have a local takeout in more Japanese food than just Chinese

Order every week sometimes twice from here food is always amazing but tonight over 2 1/2 hrs wait for delivery when rang they still couldn't tell us how long we would be waiting very disappointing as the food is always amazing

Very tasty Chinese food. One of the best Chinese takeaways in Rushden. Would definitely recommend this place. On top of that the staff is very friendly, chatty and welcoming.

Absolutely delicious! Opted for some items off of the Chinese Menu. The food arrived quickly, was piping hot and I could not fault it. The meat was so tender, the curry had the right amount of spice and fragrant notes, the fried rice was divine and fluffy,. Special chow mein was beautiful, with the most tender meat, including the pork. Will definitely be back 😋

Very nice food served by friendly staff will visit again

Superb... 2 older gentlemen recently taking over and the food is excellent. We particularly enjoy their chips.... The way chips should be, had several dishes from here lately and the chicken curry is really good..... Delivery is quick too.

Delicious food. Usually we go for fish and chips but tonight we tried the combination box A - packed with really tasty Chinese food and very reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

1st time visiting, parking near was not a problem, friendly staff, had battered sausage, chips and mushy peas, chips were nice and chunky and we're really good, if I had to pick fault it would be with the battered sausage, the batter had retained a bit of oil, mainly because they cook to order which was sorted by rolling in kitchen roll, other than that would recommend a visit, can't comment on the Chinese menu, but will try at some point, update : been back several times , the quality of food is great and is getting a popular little chippy would still recommend a visit and you can make your own mind up.

Wonderful place with very good sized portions, very big fish and chips very well fried. The Chinese food was excellent and tasted really good full of flavour and prepared very quickly. Fresh food and friendly service 😊. Value for money.

I was looking forwards to trying out this takeaway as it's just up the road from where we live. Unfortunately the fish was soggy and pale, i like mine with a crunch, same for the battered sausages 😔. The chips were nice though.

Lovely fresh cooked cod and chips. Clean premises and nice staff

First time visited since moving nearby 6 months ago, was hoping to make it my regular as so close. I ordered a small cod and chip from the friendly lady serving and made conversation about my security dog which looking out of my car window. The server put my order in box and I added salt and vinegar myself, she also put a sausage in for my dog which I thought was a nice gesture. I sat in car to eat and unfortunately although a good size portion of chips they were overdone and dry, the fish was probably a child's size but I did order it and it was very nice. The dog enjoyed her treat and thanked her for it. I will visit again, as it was close to closing time and put that down to chips not being the best. But great staff, service and spotlessly clean with outside seating.

To start this off evergreen fish bar is being run by new people and they are absolutely amazing their prices are a little on the medium to high end but the food is worth it their small chips look and feel like a large so for the price you pay it is honestly worth it I'd recommend going down with the mrs and the kids for a treat and try it because it's honestly a nice little place to get food from

Fish & Chips was nice but the fish was not much bigger than my fist. I remember the fish being twice as big and actually the real shape of a fish. Looks and tastes much better then ;-)

Under new ownership. Fish and chips are really good quality, always very fresh. Good prices. 2 benches to sit and eat on outside. Very friendly service.

Just ha lrg cod on it's own and was extremely happy and I am fussy with fish but couldn't fault it will definitely be back I'd like to wish you good luck but I don't think you'll be needing it

Paid 180 for chips could not eat more than 50pence worth serving up lunchtime rejects this is the reason we all stopped eating here gone back to the old days DONT EAT HERE

Just ordered regular chips, 1 sausage & 2 pots of curry sauce & it was the best tasting I’ve had in a long time! Lovely people will be back again 😊

Great value, however, the chips were overly done, to the point that we could only salvage a couple of decent chips out of each portion. Shall be frequenting either Lord's in the high street or The Red Cafe opposite Asda.

(Evergreen under new management) got two large chips one sausage 2x battered sausage one for the dog 2x saveloy and curry sauce very nice chips just the way I like them well done on your service today we will be back again and again 👍😁

Very disappointed. Asked for chow mein. Received something unediable on noodles. We rang stated we received wrong order. Was told it's Cantonese chow mein. Also my vegetable spring rolls was awful. And chips were mainly black. We've eaten from evergreen often until they were shut for some time. This is the first order since reopening. Very disappointed as evergreen was a fab Chinese. Wouldn't recommend or order from evergreen again 😠😠😠😠

Has a Chinese menu as well as a chip shop menu. Fish is usually cooked to order. Chinese food ok. Staff are really friendly. Cash only.
