Evergreen Chinese Takeaway in Southampton

After several visits - you never get what you ask for. Said no mushrooms, it was on the receipt, got the food, full of mushrooms! They give priority to phone calls ignoring the customers in front of them. 10p a bag which the food gets put in. If you take your own bag they struggle! Food isn’t cheap either. We’ll not be visiting again.

Ordered our takeaway and picked it up . It was all in a plastic carrier bag that was tied up . On returning home and opening the bag got all the contents out and found a bug on the bag of food inside . I phoned them as we both didn't want to eat it after this and was told it was a warm night and it probably flew in the bad that was tied up while walking across the road home . Absolutely the last two times we have tried this place it's not been acceptable never ever again . It's about time it was checked out by the scores on the door team

Simply the best Chinese around always great food and fast service. have the duck with pancakes it’s great, sweet and sour king prawn the best, and house special chow mein can’t be beaten,.

BAD SERVICE!! Ordered over £50 worth of food and three dishes were wrong. Chicken chow mein was prawn, sweet and sour was Chinese style sauce and satay chicken looked like sick!! Called up to tell them this once we got our order out at home to suggest to come back and get the right ones, and let our other food go cold when it’s your fault?!! NEVER ORDERING AGAIN

Heard that there has been a change of owners here. Really impressed, as the food was very tasty. The service was good too and ready on time. Thank you.

A surprisingly decent Chinese takeaway. All of us enjoyed everything we ordered. Really quite impressed for the location.

Hemos comido aquí varias veces y la comida está bien. Mi única crítica es que la carne crujiente NUNCA es crujiente, lo que me molesta porque es masticable. y no hacen los flacos fideos ARROZ. ¡Que son excelentes si eres intolerante al gluten! !

Gran mejora en la calidad de la comida desde mi última visita. El menú se ha ampliado y parece que el servicio ha mejorado, ya que no me impresionó después de que adquirió un nuevo propietario. Tenía un muy buen pollo al curry y arroz frito con huevo. ¿Sigues con el buen trabajo?

I have always said this is the best Chinese takeaway in The Waterside area. Have been using this place for ever since I can remember, and have never had a bad dish. It has just changed hands, which is a real shame, so will have to see if the food standards are the same?

Not been to this Chinese before so thought I would give it a try. Big mistake. Firstly when my other half tried to pay he was told he could not use a card, cash only. Then another member of staff said "you know that you have been here before". No we hadn't. My other half then went and got some cash and paid. Having then brought this food home ideas not amused. Firstly the container was leaking, secondly the food was not very hot and finally was not very tasty. Definitely will not go back again and would not recommend this place at all.

Ordered from here out of necessity. Food was ok, but as the area has little else to offer, had to be done or starve. Portions were ok

Decided to stop in while passing by on way home from Falcon Hotel on Friday night . Although it was close to closing time served without question. The owner is always amiable and the food really is rather good! Reasonably priced means I will return time after time! If you want a decent local Chinese meal to takeaway you can do a lot worse!!!

Love this place for Chinese best to collect as delivery can be slow need to employ some one that understands on phone as lady can be rude at times but probably stressed
