Had heard good things about this place but I was very disappointed with my experience. This place very definitely did not meet expectations.

Ordered online through menulog. An hour and a half later order had not been finished amd I was then lied to by menulog saying they were on their way yet it was still being made according to the next person. Got a refund and never received anything. Do not order through this place

We had Nepalese dumplings and vegan curry. Both were exceptional; amazing authentic flavors-Strongly recommend to visit if you are in Christchurch.

Good turn out early on at the friendly Woolston Sports Bar for pints of DB Draught and games of pool. Everest Indian Restaurant brought flashbacks of the Nilesh Palace visitation the same month two years prior, a small, mostly takeout focus place (could do with a clean and spruce up) with no alcohol license. This time, quick thinking from JB and MD resulted in a couple of boxes of Kingfisher presenting themselves at each end of the table. Service was understandably slow, but they were relaxed, mostly remembered who had ordered what, and got all the food out in one go. Food was excellent, from the onion bahjee to the garlic naan and the cashew chicken (highly recommended by the fellow Indian countryman at the liquor shop next door). The mixed platter was spot on, naan was super light and crisp, and the Nepalese goat (so they say…) curry was full of flavour. The wholemeal Roti were the best had in a long while; the chicken momos amazing – is like a Indian Curry in a deep fried dumpling. Pint of Guinness at the Oak n’ Ferry with a couple of the locals propped up by the bar topped the night off.

I ordered one meal to pick up. The food was delicious. The young woman doing front of house was pleasant and friendly. Great customer service skills - she is a real asset. Thank you.

A hole in the wall restaurant tucked in a few metres off Ferry Road. Good quality Indian food, dine in or take out. Speedy service. Popular or take out food.

I visited this Woolston venue based on positive online reviews. I had a lunchtime takeaway. I appreciated the fact the chef made the curries spicey as requested! The rogan josh had a good portion of lamb. The garlic naan was huge and delicious. The mushroom and cottage cheese entree was a first for me, and I loved it. The richness and oiliness was broken up by the fresh vegetables. Reasonably priced mains. I would go again, as the menu is extensive and I want to try more dishes!

Everest in Lyttelton is great; one of the best Indian dining experiences in Christchurch. With this in mind we thought that we would try the Woolston branch. The food is really poor. Starters are reheated - mixed pakora that is mainly potato fritters and a rare appearance by a piece of cauliflower. The accompanying chutney had lost most of its flavour from being watered down. The mains were miserly to say the least. "Hunt the chicken" in a generic, overly sweetened sauce. The Madras was sweet enough to be served as desert; definitely unlike any Madras I'd ever tasted before. Save yourself the grief and head on over to Lyttelton and give this outpost a miss.

The meals here, whether take away or dine in are by far the best Indian meals I have had. Lots of vegies and great chunks of meat. Sometimes when I have been to some Indian takeaway places you get a few pieces of meat drowned in sauce but here there is plenty of veigies and meat with tonnes of flavour.

I order a Indian meal for lunch while driving to the restaurant, it was ready in no time. The meal was authentic and full of flavour. The portion size was small but reflected the price, it was more than enough for lunch. Open 7 days a week 4.30 to late, lunch every day except Mondays. Try the lunch special. they have another branch in Woolston also.

I dined in the Parklands site a couple of weeks ago and it was lovely. The service was attentive and professional and the curries delicious, esp the lamb handi. I don't live close to an Everest but I would certainly make the trip back again.

A cosy atmosphere, the best of the prezzos! The loviest staff with delicious food and beautiful decorations. Such a shame it is closing, it will be surely missed, has always been the one to go to for birthdays and special occasions! Thank you to Jane and all the staff.

We called in for a breakfast on a weekend morning and they were very good to seat us all, 6 and a pushchair . A nice table and a great vibe. All the staff were very attentive and friendly too. The atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming. We all ordered a breakfast and drinks. The Full English was “warm” and really just mediocre. Bacon was very tough too. .
