Such a cozy atmosphere with delicious pizza and nice coffee! Definitely a must to visit!

I recently had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant that offers a wide range of options. We decided to try the giardiniera pizza, and it was absolutely delicious!!! Our waiter, Aieman (hope I got that right!), was wonderful. He took the time to explain the menu options and recommended a dish based on our preferences, which made our experience even more enjoyable. The customer service was 10/10!

The atmosphere was amazing but I dissapointed about the how poor the menu is. You do not have any options after 11 AM for breakfast not even granola.. I could only get some leftover pastry’s and coffee. First we sat somewhere and they said if we are not staying at the hotel actually we cannot use laptops in certain places which is not make sense. They do marketing for this place for laptop free study/work area but you cannot use it everywhere. There are limited seats for the ones who would like to work and it is a self service you need to go to tills for ordering food or drink. I feel like the atmosphere and the service level and menu was not aligned with each other. It is a shame since the architecture is stunning! I only suggest to having a coffee in this place it is very good. 👍🏽

We came here as its announced as a great place to work with a laptop. Everywhere thats available to seat are refrained from using your laptop if you are not staying in the hotel. There is only one full section that you can use to work if you are lucky. When you seated somewhere and want to order they notify you that someone will come and take your order and when ypu asked them they say its self service. Once you want to order they say you can only order 1 thing from the menu as the others are not available to serve. What kind of lack of customer service is this? The only thing that works here is the interior design. Really regretful of coming here, dont suggest anyone

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at the restaurant, and I am incredibly grateful for the exceptional service provided by Ayman. He took the time to thoroughly explain the menu, ensuring that I felt confident in my choices. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the buffalo wings—they were out of this world! I can't recommend them enough for anyone visiting! Thank you!

Me and my partner went for a drink and some food on a week day . The venue is absolutely gorgeous , staff was friendly and service focused , the food was really good and well presented and the wine we got recommended was spot on. We will definitely be back soon .

I came to Eve about a week ago. The service was excellent. Patricia took care of us, recommended us food and drink and even took the time to have a lovely conversation with us. My son have a gluten intolerance and Patricia was very helpful and understanding with him. The place is beautiful, and cozy. The pizza was delicious and the atmosphere spot on. Definitely will came back with my kids and husband, and other times with my friends. Thanks for a lovely evening Patricia!

So I went to this really popular cafe that I saw everywhere on social media and was so excited to come here because I'm not from London. So imagine my surprise when I receive a very rude request from a server/waiter telling me to move or leave because I was using my laptop. I was very confused as everyone else in that cafe except for maybe two were using a laptop. He asked if I was staying at the hotel or if I was only a visitor, probably because he did not want to be rude to a hotel guest but instead rude to a visitor. He was wearing a cream baggy shirt and had messy brown hair. This was really disappointing because it put a very bad taste in my mouth about coming here again.

worst service ever, took ages for an iced latte (we decided to leave so told them never mind just to see it wasnt even being made anyway...) even the poor waiter was apologetic. dirty table didnt even get cleaned. good decor tho 🤷‍♀️should pay the waiter more for having to apologise constantly on behalf of others not doing their job ...

Their Proper Slice collab is soooo yummy. The pizza had the perfect amount of dough, sauce and cheese. Service was top notch (thank you Alessandro). They are very accommodating to diverse dietary needs. I reserved a table in advance and asked for halal in my reservation and they had plenty of halal options available for me as I arrived. Vibes were immaculate, great atmosphere. The music is groovy and the interiors are lush. Overall I had a great meal and oh, the dessert is really fresh too. I had the cheesecake.

I had a great experience here. The atmosphere is fantastic and I received excellent service from Leanne. I am confused as to why so many other reviewers are complaining about not being allowed laptops. I, for one, am glad that my dining experience wasn't ruined by the tapping of people on their laptops.

It's the first time I have tried Eve's breakfast menu as we usually just come over for evening drinks with friends, but it was absolutely fantastic. Thank you Leanne for brilliant service and recommendations :) Will definitely be back :)

Pretty good place for chill afternoon.

An unexpected pleasure, an incredibly charming environment with gorgeous decor, a great selection of wines (thank you Leanne for helping me give Sauvignon blanc a chance!) and a beautiful patio!

Used to be a cute co-working space, but they’ve recently implemented a no-laptop policy and sectioned off an area fit for about 5 people in total where laptops can actually be used. Laptop area was all full when I stopped by (of course) so even after ordering lunch I was told I couldn’t use my laptop despite the fact the rest of the cafe was virtually empty. Can no longer recommend this as a study spot, which is a shame because it was truly enjoyable while it lasted.

Visually the place is beautiful, love the conservatory aspect perfect feeling of being outside but your inside. Nice vibe. But in terms of the service not great.., staff more interested talking amongst themselves rather than serving the customers… also they charge 75 p for alternative milk which is rather steep especially if you have to choose this option as your lactose intolerant, cappuccino was okay abit small and not very hot. It’s worth going for the interior, staff need to improve.

Was debating writing this but I haven’t been able to stop thinking about my experience. Came in a few weeks ago and witnessed a manager being so rude talking about the employees ( overheard them call him David) absolutely disgusting the way he spoke about some of the people working there, I’m not sure what was going on but despite the situation no one should be treated that way, I used to come here all the time as the decor is beautiful and so is the food but after witnessing him talk about employees I don’t want to give any more money to this company. Such a shame as every interaction I’ve had with the people working there has been lovely and I have only ever been treated amazingly by the staff

Highly recommend! I absolutely loved the Shakshuka here and the service was so lovely. Ayman was oh so kind, he helped us choose our order with no regret and we all loved his recommendations!

Not bad! The food wasn't life changing but was decent. I think the highlight of this place was the vibe which was more on the cozy side (a good thing). If you're looking for a low key, casual Mediterranean dinner this is a decent shout. The service is pretty good as well!

Beautiful restaurant with live music, unfortunately, despite the amazing effort from our waitress, our experience was not the best. The reservation was made for 7 people however when we arrived, the restaurant did not have our booking, the table was then arranged in less than 20 minutes near the music stage. Even though it was too loud and we had to shout to hear each other, it was a nice table with replaxing music. The service however was incredibly slow, we waited so much for the main course that we almost lost our appetite. Also, the menu is not extensive therefore we expected no issues with the plates. After we ordered, we were informed that they only had one rump steak left and no stonebass. This left us very disappointed as few of our friends were on a diet and they could not eat anything else, so they ended up having raw vegetables and rice... I made the waitress notice that the cauliflower and the chicken were two different dishes however it looked like they mixed up everything in the fryer since we hade it mixed up in one plate. The food itself was good but nothing special. For the price we paid, we were looking for something authentic, which did not happen. We paid around £50 each and some of the people from our group ended up having just veg and rice, how sad..

Sadly I had a negative experience here. I came in this morning as I wanted to try EVE's café for the first time. I ordered easily enough, and the server asked me if I was eating in or taking away, to which I answered eating in. After I sat down, I shortly got back up to ask if the table could be wiped down as it was dirty. However, the server then said to me 'i think the cafe seating is for hotel guests only', even though she had just invited me to eat in, and despite the signs on the tables that clearly show that the café is open to the public. I thought the issue was going to be resolved when a manager nearby corrected the server and informed her that it was open to the public. However, then the manager basically shoved me out into the garden (essentially: 'have you seen our garden? It's really really nice, you'd love it, go have a look, you've got a jacket on, go, go enjoy yourself'). I went out into the garden but it was very cold and I was the only person out there - not very pleasant. This led me to think that maybe they prefer just hotel guests in the café after all, even though it was completely empty (but again the signs on the tables state otherwise). Ultimately I was made to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I will not be back. Edit: I reached out to EVE following their response to my review but received no response.

Chef are you having a laugh? What took you so long to cut up some veggies and arrange them with hair in it that I had to pick out my food. Baba ganoush was mediocre and so was the hummus but I was too hungry by the time the food arrived so I ate it. Please do better because I've had store bought hummus/Baba ganoush better than this. The waiting staff are super nice and friendly and overall a great calm cafe for reading or work. Have lost me with the food.

Kitchen (at least the new menu updated 2 weeks ago) is very boring. I got fish, grilled fries and cauliflower. Well, i would have cooked it better in the apartment i have stayed in the same building. Ambience is nice, but this is an advantage of Ember Locke, hardly the restaurant has something to deal with it. Good for not a foodie person perhaps, but i left with a bad/ruined good evening mood. I finished the dinner just because was too hungry. Was hungry, so decided to dine in the building i stayed and not to search for the place to eat. Well, one bad decision for today.

Came to the cafe on Saturday, 27th April 2024. After my friend and I found a spot, I went up to the counter to order drinks and pastries. I waited for 25 minutes to place my order, waited at the counter for another 25 minutes to collect my order. I ordered 2 hot chocolates and after waited for 25 minutes, I was given 2 lukewarm chocolate drinks. I ordered a quiche, a brownie, a chocolate cookie and another pastry (cant remember the name). The staff wanted to put the pastries in a takeaway bag for us to eat them at our table. Asked for a plate, “we ran out of plates” and I paid £25. I insisted of having those on a plate and waited for another 10 minutes for that. I honestly sympathised with the staff as he was the only person behind the counter to take orders, to make drinks and to heat up the pastries. I tried to be patient but the manager should be more considerate and notice the long queue and the long waiting time. I wasted almost an hour to get my orders and just to be disappointed. The ambiance was good but the service was terrible. I won’t go again. Sorry for leaving this review.

We were misled by a viral video that it is study friendly. In reality there is a small area where you are allowed to use your laptop. Of course it was overcrowded and there were no free seats. I would suggest a visit if you plan to just eat/grab a drink.

EVE has implemented “laptop-free zones” for non-guests in 2/3 of the café. I would not recommend this café for coworking anymore as there is not nearly enough space to accommodate non-guests, while guest-only laptop zones are left mostly empty. I used to love coming here before the laptop-free zones, as the food is good and the atmosphere is wonderful. However, I will now be finding a café that is actually suited for coworking.

Beautiful trendy cafe w stunning interior and tasty coffee perfect for anyone interested in that. My criticism is that the service in the cafe part was not amazing (bar staff were very nice) and the drinks came in plastic / paper cups even though we had a table which ruins the nice experience and makes it feel a bit cheap and not the “treat” experience we were expecting Definitely a place with 5/5 potential!! 🩷

Love this place! Came for brunch, but didn't have a booking, however Lucinda made us feel very welcome. Erin was our server , super friendly and made sure our dietary needs were taken care of- the food was amazing. Cant wait to come back soon!

Very beautiful place and ideal for remote working or studying. Sadly, they have now put on a sign “no laptops allowed unless you stay in the hotel” and multiple waiters keep coming to check on you

EVE was one of the best brunches I have ever had in London. The decor and the ambience of the restaurant is 10/10. The food is beyond tasty and all 3 courses were well balanced. The service was amazing, the staff was just the right level of attentive and very friendly. The cocktails were delicious and plentiful - highly recommend getting the bottomless cocktail menu which was such a good deal! On top of all of this, when we visited (on Saturday), there was a live jazz music which made the whole experience divine.

I’m so confused by this place, I’ve been a couple times and the first time the service and the food was terrible but the second time the service was lovely and the coffee was much better. I wonder what the management is like as the staff don’t seem entirely happy to be working there. The interiors are ridiculously beautiful which doesn’t match the quality of the food and service.

It’s a shame that this review is not reflective of the better experiences I’ve had at EVE- but basically, if you’re someone who’s looking for a quiet place to browse your laptop while having brunch (like at any other cafe in town), this is not longer the place to go. Unfortunately myself and many others who enjoyed the good food and coffee whilst browsing the web are unable to do so anymore. Having only enforced the laptop free rules maybe a month ago, the establishment should advertise that so others don’t arrive thinking they’re going to an ordinary cafe to be productive. Thinking I would sit in a very uncomfortable seat by the door without a “laptop free” sign, one of the workers (I think she was a manager) came over and rudely said “there are signs this is a laptop free zone”. I proceed to walk away while she FOLLOWS me around the restaurant and does the same thing as I attempted to sit down. I was confused and pointed out many others were also using laptops in the area- and she says “well I’m assuming they’re guests”. If she had simply mentioned “all areas are a laptop free area” or “we’re currently at capacity” from the start- instead of following me around a place I’ve been to many times, that would have been more appropriate. However, the condescending tone employed by the lady manager was highly unacceptable, and unfortunately will not be returning under these new conditions. Nonetheless I think the establishment needs to be transparent with the application of the laptop free areas. Especially when the cafe is well known as a great place to work from.

Food and service was really great, i had a wrap followed by some pastries which were fantastic. We had to sit at the bar which was fine - but this was because when we arrived every table was taken up by a somebody with a laptop. Literally every table. Most people had their own water bottles and weren't even ordering from the café. What a shame. Nice place though.

This cafe is so beautiful and perfect if you’re remote working or wanting to study for a few hours. If you get there when it opens it’s so quiet and peaceful before the crowds arrive, which is great. The coffee was great, and they had a few gluten free options for myself (cookie & cake). One thing to note is that laptops are only allowed during the week I believe, not the weekends.

Went to grab a matcha and some pastry they have a nice mushroom danish that I 100% recommend and a nice vegan pistachio pastry Yasmine at the coffee bar welcomed us so well and recommend us as well where to visit ill say the only negative point is to find a sit some people sit here for a long time without ordering anything and take up space for others when needed

Great brunch menu and atmosphere! The band gives such a nice touch, although as some comments in here, it can get a bit loud and conversations get hard to be heard. The salmon dish was divine!!!! Overall a great choice and friendly service

Lady at the cafe counter was extremely rude. I just simply asked if the latte wasnt meant to be 3.7 ? She says no because of service charge. I have never seen a place charge service charge for takeaways so I asked her “even for takeaway?” She said “well yes”and then we paid. When she finished our drinks she didnt say anything and just smashed them on the counter. I said thanks she didnt say anything. This is unbelievable to charge takeaways customers with service charge and even more if the service is rude.

Dreadful place. As other reviews have pointed out, the place is full of 20 somethings just sitting there on their laptops and with cameras on little tripods placed on the tables taking up all the seating. They are not even drinking or eating anything. The staff were surly and acted totally disinterested. What's the point of allowing people to take up all the seating if they are not actually buying anything or they've already had their coffees ages ago and are just sitting there using their laptops to go on social media?

Cafe The decor is very aesthetic, but that's as good as this place gets. I have seen this particular spot advertised online as a great study area. Therefore, I came with the intention to study. I opened my laptop and went to order a coffee. I go up to the cafe counter and the male barista was rude and disrespectful. He was having a "side" conversation about how people are so annoying and can't read the "no laptop" signs (there were no signs), obviously wanting me to hear the conversation. He ignored me until he finally decided to look at me and ask what I wanted to order. He was rude again. I'm aware that he might've been having a bad day, but it sucks having that directed at you. I would've preferred him telling me kindly about the no laptop rule instead of insulting me in hopes that I'll hear. If you're reading this, you work in hospitality. Fake a smile if you have to, but this was your choice. Not my problem you hate your job. **This is only about the cafe. The restaurant was nice and the server was really kind.

I ordered a vegan wrap and they gave me one with cheese. I didn't realize until halfway through once I started to feel unwell. So expensive and an extremely unpleasant experience. Would not recommend if you have allergies.

Got turned away! Came in to do some work on a Saturday and was told I wouldn't be allowed to use my laptop as they have a "no laptop policy on weekends" despite there being at least 5 people in the cafe working on their laptops! Why was I singled out? Definitely pretentious and didn't feel at all welcome. Would not go back.

Came into study as that is what they have advertised the area as on social media. And a gentleman came over and asked us to come off our laptops, as they have a no laptop policy on the weekends which has not been advertised. I had said where can we go as I have travelled an hour to come here, and he said it’s not my problem. My advice is don’t advertise it as an area where people can study if you can’t do that, even on a weekend. Also the coffee is horrible and the cafe team are rude and miserable, they didn’t even say hello when I came up to order a coffee.

I visited cafe with my sister at the weekend. That was a great experience. Barbora served us. She was very kind and smiling all the time. Her cappuccino was delicious. We will visit this cafe again.

The interior was just gorgeous as the space was filled with eclectic paintings, sculptures and furnishing. It is also well lit as it’s designed as a conservatory and lets the natural light come in from all directions. There are also many cozy booths, sections, and most importantly SOCKETS throughout the whole cafe. We stayed there throughout the whole day and there was NO MINIMUM SPEND. Pastries prices range from £2-£8, Drink prices range from £2 - £5. Lunch Menu was based on Mediterranean plates and wraps and we had ZFC Fried Chicken in Zhoug Mayo which was £10. All in all, it was the perfect space as the space felt relaxed and it was not loud so perfect to take calls or meetings in. One of the cafe's I actually keep coming back to so highly recommend. I visited this coffee shop for the first time on Saturday and I was surprised by the pleasant service and also the nice seating, I ordered matcha latte that a kind waitress Barbara prepared and was delicious, I will definitely come back here😊

I Visited Eve last week for dinner with my friend and apart from struggling to find the restaurant at the start, everything else was amazing. The service was excellent from the waiter Ayman, he was so friendly and warm and was excellent all night. The food was also unbelievable, the Stonebass was by far the best thing on the menu. Would definetly come back again and would highly recommend.

Visited the place for food. They only offered set brunch menu that barely had any choices - one gluten free dish out of the entire 3 course menu. They didn't let us order from a la carte menu! Ice coffee served in plastic cups lol Coffee shop only had 2 pastries available, and nothing gluten free. I wouldn't come here again to dine, but the place itself has a nice decor and its a cute spot to get coffee and work/catch up.

- Upon our arrival, we were not greeted by any of the staff members, which felt unwelcoming. - We were initially seated at a table, only to be told shortly after that it was reserved and we had to move. - We were not offered still water and had to request it ourselves. - The service was slow; we had to wait for an hour for our main course to arrive. Additionally, there was a long wait for our appetizers, and our drinks were initially forgotten. When the drinks did arrive, they were served in paper cups, which seemed out of place for a dine-in experience - People sitting next to us who arrived more than an hour later than our arrival received thier iced lattes in a proper glass before we got ours in paper cups. - The staffs appeared to be more engaged with one another than with guests, leading to a lack of attentive service. - We noticed disparities in service timing, particularly with desserts being served to a table that arrived after us, but at the same time as ours. On a positive note, we did find the band's performance enjoyable despite the volume, the restaurant's decor was quite appealing, and the quality of the food was good.

Wonderful experience in this hotel and special thanks to Yasmine at the coffee bar.

Eve is a beautiful spot but the food was average and expensive for what you get. The staff were welcoming but not really on the ball, not collecting used dishes, spilling some of the dish when putting it down on the table. Style over substance.

Very nice Restaurant/ Bar area, sat down last Friday evening for a drink with a friend. Staff are super friendly, they had DJ on who was playing some awesome tracks. We later had pleasure of hearing the band play from the Restaurant - awesome. Sadly on this occasion we already had dinner reservations somewhere else, but from what we could see the food looked super nice. The atmosphere and vibe that we experienced will definitely bring us back, and we can't wait to try the food!

Delicious food. Full of flavour. We had a selection of small plates. Lovely setting. Great service. Only downside, live music volume too loud. But they turned it down when asked! Would go back.

Incredibly good food, with great attention to the complexities of the flavours, especially with the vegetarian dishes. Really impressed!

Great experience at Eve. The interior is beautiful, all of the food and drinks we ordered were delicious, and they we very attentive and considerate of dietary requirements. We left the restaurant happy and full, and what we paid seemed entirely reasonable. I hope more people discover them and they get a bit busier!

I’ve only been to the cafe not the restaurant. Very friendly staff and cosy atmosphere. My main feedback is that the music is extremely loud around where the couches are near the garden to the point that I was uncomfortable and had to leave after 15 minutes (maybe that’s the point?). The pastries are also stale so they need to be stored in a way that preserves freshness.

Le restaurant est situé au rez-de-chaussée de l'hôtel Ember Locke. La déco est sublime, couleurs et codes du moment, un vrai plaisir pour les yeux. La carte est très méditerranéenne, cuisine Libanaise, avec goût et libre interprétation de grands classiques. Un vrai plaisir pour les yeux et les papilles. On sent un vrai plaisir du chef et de son équipe. Choisissez un plat que vous connaissez ou laissez vous porter, plaisir assuré. Une seule envie, séjourner dans l'hôtel lors de notre prochaine venue. A noter un superbe arrêt petit déjeuner pour ceux que cela intéresse. Il y a de la place et on prend son temps, contrairement à d'autres adresses du quartier.
