Eureka in Liverpool

We came here to celebrate my birthday. The food was amazing & the staff were very welcoming & attentive, they make visiting this restaurant a special experience. Thank you 😁 for a lovely afternoon.

Really gorgeous food in this lovely restaurant. We went early evening and easily for a table. Served by a lovely, friendly waitress. We chose the gorgeous Greek bread … which was sooo lovely - along with humus and taramaslata for starters then the spinach and feta filo pastry slice. It was all served with a lovely salad, homemade chips and plenty of rice Really recommend for a very affordable and tasty meal in a lovely setting

Would just like to give a big shout out to all the staff at this restaurant. We went last night 30 of us for a birthday celebration. We had the best night . The staff did a set menu and everything was delicious. All the food came out hot and there was plenty of it. I can't recommend this place enough especially if you have a large party. Thank you so much for all your effortless hard work and making a memorable family night xxx

Had my Birthday Meal there yesterday 25th Feb..I must say..all staff excellent and very polite and engaging..the food was excellent..Great variety..service excellent..nothing too trouble..Great view of the chefs working away..Will be back again soon...promise..x

Best value for money and food in Liverpool

COLD PLATES - why do they spoil things by serving food on cold plates? Which means the food goes cold very quickly - have mentioned this on last two visits and the waitress said 'oh yes other customers have mentioned this' ?? So why don't they do something about it then? Food was nice - however, they usually have an 'early bird' menu, but decide to only offer Al a Carte menu (full price) because it's Valentines ! So, bit of a rip off, as we didn't know this before we went. The meat is always gorgeous, but barely enough chips and rice between two people. I'm afraid they also have the worst hummous I've ever tasted.. it's very very slimy -- can't understand the Greeks getting hummous so wrong.. no texture at all? This is a very old, establish restaurant in Liverpool - but 'could do better'.

Ruined my 30th Birthday Celebrations for myself and all my guests! Rude, arrogant, snotty and abrupt staff!!! And the management were in even worse!!!

Visiting my boy and went for food. There was a 60th party on so lots of singing and dancing added to the fab vibe. Food was great and good value too.

Not a review of the restaurant - it's always fantastic, can't recommend enough - so much as the behaviour of one of the customers we were sat in front of tonight which appalled me. I overheard a woman mentioning that her food was "tough" to the waitress (these things can happen in restaurants I suppose), but how she spoke to the waitress was really quite disgusting. Apparently this lady has a daughter who frequents the restaurant often and said she would take her food home (in the free boxes provided to her by the restaurant no less) as evidence to show her daughter the alleged "tough" food, and made a point of telling the staff this while also refusing the discount on the bill which was offered to her. The waitress was incredibly polite and apologetic, explaining that they've been short staffed due to absence, and somehow managed to remain composed and polite while dealing with her (I wouldn't have!). Well I have to say you should be ashamed of yourself, there's a right and a wrong way to bring up food issues with a restaurant and that certainly wasn't it, and a woman of your age should know better. What kind of nasty person makes a point of saying to staff you're taking food away to show someone how bad it is? The staff really couldn't have tried harder to make it right and you threw it back in their face. I hope you see this and realise what a show you made of yourself, and if you do dare leave a review we all know what kind of person you are and to ignore your pettiness. I've been going to this restaurant with my family near enough once a month for maybe 3 years now, the food is always lovely, and I should know as I've nearly worked my way through the entire menu! If I was to criticise anything it's that I wish you had more Greek puddings, as I really miss galaktoboureko from when I was on holiday in Rhodes. :) Favourites are the Fish Medley and Chicken Skordo. Keep up the good work, Eureka! x

Had lunch here as a family of four. 2 courses for £15, really good value. Food very fresh. The meatballs and chicken kebab is highly recommend. Kids enjoyed theirs and was also very good value. Deserts were excellent, cheesecake with salted caramel ice cream. Half carafe of lovely house red was also a bargain at £9.95. Will definitely come back soon, fabulous.

This is one of my FAVOURITE places to eat! We come here all the time as the food, service and atmosphere are all amazing. I couldn’t recommend this place more if you are looking for a authentic experience at a Greek restaurant!

Table for 11 booked. Arrived and all set up ready. Great service from lovely friendly staff and as for the food, we'll you will have to try yourself as don't want to spoil it for you. Drinks ordered and served through meal without an issue. Overall I give 10 out 10 for everything.

This is the second time my wife and I have eaten here. The first time was back in 2018. It is still amazing with an awesome staff and a friendly owner. We came here with my daughter and her little family. My wife and I ordered a bottle of La Pintora wine from Chile. I started with an amazing bowl of lamb soup with orzo. I had never seen a lamb soup on a menu before. My wife and I split a platter of monkfish, which was perfectly grilled. We also ordered a side of briam, sautéed vegetables, and an order of Loukaniki, grilled Greek sausages. I liked it, but my wife thought this was little more than hot dogs. My daughter and her family went with an order or briam too. They also had hummus, beans, fried zucchini courgettes, fries, rice, and plaki, which is mixed vegetables in a tomato sauce. The owner presented my granddaughter with a free dish of ice cream. She devoured it! If you like Greek, you will love this place.

We came here last Sunday and we had a great meal, the restaurant was pretty busy, but still a good atmosphere, the food was very tasty and fresh, the service very attentive and kind, we had the koftades, dolmades, and anfelia and the sausage I don't remember properly the names but all was tasty, the meal comes with chips, salad and rice and the portions are generous. Everything was tasty, I didn't munch much on the pork since it was very heavy. But the rest is was worth it, we will come back.

Really nice food . The best Greek food we have had so far in UK . Tasty generous and good quality freshly made. Friendly staff . We found them as we were in an air b&b just up the road and it was a few mins walk away so off we went . Really worth it .

I came across this restaurant by chance whilst in Wavertree and am so glad I did. My family and I enjoyed a really delicious meal here. Great choice of food, all freshly cooked and generous portions. Friendly and attentive staff and lovely atmosphere. Prices are very reasonable for the high quality food. I hope to visit again!

Enjoyed a fabulous family bank holiday Greek meal today at the wonderful Eureka in Wavertree. Great food , attentive and thoughtful service and wonderful atmosphere. We had a great time and it didn’t cost the earth. Winner but don’t just take my word for it …go along yourselves and you won’t be disappointed .

This is a vibrant noisy fabulous place to enjoy the best Greek cuisine. Terrific atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome. Our first date was at a Greek restaurant called Antoni’s on Hardman Street 44 years ago where they served the best Afelia. It has taken this long to find an Afelia as good. Our friend the lamb chops. Terrific. This was the first of many visits, guaranteed.

This place is amazing! Consistently good Greek food, I always get the Dolmades. But everything on the menu is brill. Always busy, and good at catering for disabilities, I just wish it were closer to me. Don't let this gem pass you by. Fantastic for meat lovers & vegitarians will e spoilt for choice .

Best Greek restaurant you will find. Lovely restaurant, great staff and absolutely delicious food. Been going to Eureka for about 25 years and have never been disappointed. Whether it’s having a few bottles of wine and the mezze with friends, or a family lunch (with babies) it’s always a brilliant experience. The quality and quantity of food, especially the meat kebabs, is unbelievable! Would recommend to anyone xx

We normally come here, the food is always lovely, we went for a few family events and the service had lacked majorly there are foreign ladies who are extremely rude and condescending, they had a stinking attitude they where absolutely vile!we won’t be coming again!the food was still nice but when you go you want good friendly service not rude disgusting attitudes! I would avoided if you want to be treated like a paying customer!!!

This has got to be the best mousaka , rice , freshest salad..lamb kebab we have ever had..we without a doubt will return..my daughter was at your restaurant on Friday and recommended we go..thanks for making us both very happy...♥️

See update below: This is a gem of a Greek restaurant. We had the lamb kebabs, kleftiko and afelia. Absolutely gorgeous. Fab service and the staff were very friendly and helpful with my mum who has dementia and is very particular about what she will eat. Reasonably priced. The outside area is lovely on warm evenings. Go there this summer and I'm sure you will love it! Update: a new afternoon two course menu for £12.90 starts this week (March 2023) with many of the usual favourites available, if you get there after 6pm you'll miss out! Check with the restaurant which days of the week are included in this special menu to avoid disappointment.

Eureka, your food and service is exceptional, on our second visit during a busy night you still served us amazing food, and a big thank you to Charles, a credit to his customers, a lovely polite gentleman, who makes the whole experience delightful, I'm returning just to see his smile.1😉 The food, wine, service is warm and inviting. Meals are of exorbitant proportions, fresh, taste how they should taste, delicious and juicy. This little gem on Picton Road, well worth a visit!!!

Had a lovely mixed kebab , first time I have had Greek food, my wife chose lamb kleftiko which she really enjoyed, will definitely be going back, staff are brilliant super service and very reasonably priced, if you haven’t been then get yourself down here it’s fab

OMG ...we used to live in the Eureka when it was in Myrtle Parade. We had many a crazy fantastic night there. George and the wonderful Tess ❤️❤️❤️ who looked after us and our kids. So we have rediscovered a brilliant restaurant again. So happy...

We were really looking to this meal but unfortunately did not live up to expectations. I felt a frosty reception from one staff member as I can read on reviews this was not just felt by myself. The food was average and not very great...

The place was riddled with flies getting in our food. The food wasn’t anything special and Tess’ attitude was just as cold. Poor quality food for high end prices.
