We wanted to go for a nice breakfast before our flight and Et Voila looked nice. We ordered the eggs benedicte and the full English breakfast. Most things were really cold. The hollandaise sauce was very sour. The service was kind of cold and some parts were not correct. The place was really cold, probably the only place in London where I kept my jacket. The service lady was delivering the food in a jacket. The food came very late for some people after the others had already finished.

We stopped here for breakfast on our way back to Kings Cross. I wasn’t expecting to have a Scottish breakfast, however it was really nice and the coffee is good. The inside is nice and quirky and it’s obviously a family run business. Recommended.

Went today for brunch and we had fluffy egg florentine and fluffy egg with bacon on crumpets. The lady explained how to make fluffy eggs which was very helpful. Washed down with Bailey latte, unfortunately no more Bailey left or I'd have several as it was lovely...she kindly told us there was no music because wifi was down but it was cozy by the fire but beside us we were the only table occupied.

We wanted to go for a nice breakfast and Et Voila looked cozy. We ordered the eggs benedicte and the hollandaise sauce was very sour. We didn't finish it, it made us feel nauseous the whole morning. We suspect the orange juice wasn't fresh either. French breakfast was okay, but not fresh either. Fried eggs were okay, but can't do much wrong with that anyway. Definitely overpriced for what we got. Would NOT recommend.

The prices are very reasonable and cheap for London however the service is terrible! Our food had been sitting in the food lift for I don’t know how long and the woman making the food came up and said to the young waitress the food had been sitting for a while and why did she not serve it. The woman who made the food apologised and served it herself but by the time it reached us it was cold. I told the young waitress it was cold and she said yes because it’s been sitting in the lift because i did not hear it, no apology. There was no offer of a new breakfast or to heat it up. I advised I could not eat it because it was stone cold. The only offer I got was to put it in the microwave behind the counter. I heard the microwave finish but she ignored it and continued whatever she was doing even thou she was right beside it. I had to go up to the counter eventually and ask for my breakfast and again it wasn’t any warmer. The bacon was undercook therefore I did not eat it and the fried tomatoes was 2 cherry tomatoes cut in half and cold. The eggs and mushrooms went a greasy watery way as they do with her putting it in the microwave. The toast was made at the counter and was more like warm bread. It is worrying when toast cannot be made properly in a cafe! We then sat with the dirty plates in front of us until we left approx 40 minutes after finishing. The waitress was cleaning empty tables but did not clear our plates for some reason? If the food was hot and the toast/ bacon cooked more this would have been a good breakfast, pitty the service was terrible and ruined it.

At 2 Acton St Kings Cross and just across the road from Travelodge Royal Scot you will find the most delightful French cafe/restaurant - et Voila. Open for breakfast, lunch and (most days) dinner, this cafe serves delicious, freshly made food prepared lovingly by the owner from scratch. Whether you’re in the mood for an English breakfast (available all day), decadent crepes with salted caramel or are ready to try the day’s special (always a treat) you won’t be disappointed in either the food or the friendly service.

Walking through London looking for something to eat for lunch before catching a train from St Pancras, and I happened to walk past this place as it was advertising a student lunch deal for £5. Initially I hesitated, thinking I could just get a Subway or something at the station. But, obviously, "think locally" prevailed; in this case, unfortunately. The meal wasn't bad, but in no way could I have called it good either. The student dish of the day was advertised as seafood pasta. I wasn't aware until I received mine that chicken was a form of seafood, but if it worked then it would be forgiven. The problem was that it didn't work. The service was really friendly when I ordered, and though I was waiting longer than I would have expected to for a "dish of the day", I had the time to spare just about. The food arrived lukewarm, which is weird for a daily menu only an hour after opening, and what's even worse, it was packed so badly that half of it was out of the container and spilled in the bag it had been packed in by the time I opened it just outside the cafe. It's a good thing, given this, that there was almost no sauce on the pasta; it was like it had just been stir fried like chow mein with some chicken and some prawns except with European herbs. Speaking about the prawns, they were served with the shells still on. When I'm eating gourmet pasta in a fancy restaurant, this is only just barely appropriate; so for when eating street food that I take away in a cardboard box and eat one-handed with a fork while I am walking, how on earth could any chef thing shell-on prawns would be a good idea? It got a bit sickly towards the end, so I threw away the last quarter of it. So, the service was friendly, and I can believe that the normal cafe is authentically French from looking at the rest of the menu and the way they greeted me. However, based on the daily menu takeaway, it would barely have been worth it if it were half the price of the student offer. The 3 star rating is based on the friendly welcome, but if it were just the food, it would have just been a 2.

I’m a regular here and usually like this location. The staff are mostly friendly and it has a cozy vibe. You can sit by the window and overlook Finchley Road. Unfortunately today I had a bad experience with Georgia who was training new baristas. I scanned my Nero app to pay and was shown on my app that the payment went through. Apparently it hadn’t gone through on the till so Georgia made me show her proof of payment on my app and on my credit card statement but then argued with me that the payment was shown as pending in my Amex app, which it always is as it takes a few days for the merchant to claim the transaction. When I said that I wasn’t willing to swipe my card again and be charged double she made a rather rude comment “the payment hasn’t gone through on our end, so you’ll just walk away with a free coffee” and insisted I swipe my app again. She did give me a receipt noting that if I was indeed charged twice they would give me a refund on my next visit, however I am rather disappointed by customer service. You would think that staff would care less about a potentially free £3.55 coffee than losing a regular customer. I will not be a regular anymore at this location.
