Esquires Coffee in Waverley

Don’t believe the trolls calling out this splendid cafe. It’s well managed the coffee and food is excellent and it’s not possible for the disabled toilet to be filthy because it’s brand new practically and spotless everywhere.

Very expensive drinks, that when ready we’re just slammed down on the top by the young man who obviously couldn’t be bothered to mention they were done or say thank you, very rude service. The disabled toilet being the only one being used as top area closed off with cones was in a disgusting state so rather than use I waited, obviously not checked to often.

One of the nicest, best value for money cafes in Godalming. Have been here a few times, and whilst it isn’t cheap, i don’t mind paying more when the quality and experience is better than any chain coffee shops on the high street. I had a delish panini, there’s lots of choice, and it even came with a nice side salad and crisps. The choice of drinks and sweet treats is always lovely too.

Overpriced for one. Two coffees and two small pieces of cake = £17.00? And the wait! Ordering took no time at all (once you got past the girl serving who clearly didn’t want to be there), but the wait for the coffee to be made... There were four people ahead of us in the queue waiting for drinks, just one barista and it took 15 minutes for us to get our coffee. Utterly ridiculous. When it finally did arrive the coffee was very nice, but I don’t expect to wait so long I have time to evolve into a bird. The good coffee has saved you from a ‘poor’ rating.

We were served by Reuben. Lovely chap with a great smile. Service was of excellent quality along with the exquisite coffee. Lovely location - great place to be on such a wonderful day.

Hated every minute inside that building. Coffee tastes like egg. Sandwich was stale and I threw up when I got home. Rude manager also locked me in the toilet and when I asked to come out she threatened me with a butter knife. Hence why I have written this review months later as I was so terrified I fled the country. Never come here (it was also overpriced)

As we had Monday off work we visited Esquires for a relaxing coffee. Due to an oversight by the staff member at the till one of drinks didn't go through the till correctly. We were brought the first coffee and when queried I was told to go to the back of the queue to re-order the missing drink, leaving the first coffee going cold at our table. We felt this was poor service and said that due to this error the second drink should be complimentary. Having waited for this to arrive I again queried the wait and was told there were other customers to be served. We had also ordered pastries which were also not served to us at which point I complained about the service. The missing drink finally arrived but following this a member of staff came over to our table a rudely stated that the second drink was 'down to you' and to never come back to the shop again. After this experience we absolutely no intention of ever returning to this shop especially as there are so many nicer alternatives in the town.

Manager (i think) seemed very rude and obnoxious, on the till gave me a dirty look when i asked for a cappuccino, the rudeness put me off and ontop of that i had an overwhelming smell of cigarettes which was enough to ruin my food (cheese and ham toastie) which in itself was very mediocre and bland. rating 1/10 would never stop by here again.

Popped in today for a quick snack as my wife and myself needed a pit stop from a busy day in the heat and a air con rest spot was perfect Staff were brilliant and food came fast Food was good as well no issues at all with anything

Dropped in for a mid-morning coffee, part way home from a week at the coast. Only a short walk from the carpark it looked inviting. We were treated to a warm welcome and a very tempting display of sandwiches and pastries (we succumbed). The coffee was excellent, the pastries were fresh and tasty and it was all delivered to us at our table. So refreshing to be away from the chains. Great place, great staff, great coffee and food. Give them a go ....

I love this place. Great decor and fit out. Owners and staff always friendly, engaging and welcoming. Nothing is too much effort. The coffee and jacket potatoes are fabulous too.

The staff are so nice and know what they are talking about. They made it such a good experience! Incredible customer service, and obviously great coffee and food. It was a younger boy and girl that served me and they were lovely and made sure everything was perfect

I have been going to this branch of Esquires for several months now, usually on a weekly basis, although sometimes more than once a week, to meet a friend or two for coffee and for food and a "chill out". The staff have always been very welcoming, friendly and their customer service skills are great. The coffee is good, as is the food. I have already recommended it to several friends (and some had already been in and approved before I did so).
