Friendly owners, great hot drinks and a good relaxed atmosphere.

Food is simple but nice (had an avocado toast but no egg). The moccha was delicious. Its great to see another coffee shop opening in Cardiff bay.

Bought an iced coffee with oat milk and caramel syrup - cost £4.30 which I felt was a lot (all prices have been scrubbed off the board.) Unfortunately I think the oat milk has either been sat out of the fridge or it is off, as the drink has a very bitter taste and the milk is separating and sitting on the top.

The staff there is very friendly, the food and the drinks are very nice

I came today and was served by a staff whose name I got but shall not mention here. She was very rude and bosy. Needs to learn to be more polite and calmer. My friend and i came here thinking there would be some good vegan options with the big vegan sign outside. I asked this staff what vegan milkshake option she has and she says the vanilla. I heard her and she repeated it 3 times before I could finish my question. I then asked what goes with the milkshake does it have vegan cream and she says no. Disappointed that you don't have vegan cream for your milk shake. Then I asked if the white hot chocolate is suitable for vegans and she says yes. I asked again is the powder used for the white hot chocolate suitable for vegans and she said yes. I asked for if there was oat milk and she said no. So I asked for soy milk. Then told my friend I like oat and Soy milks. Apparently later your staff thought this was rude and told me aggressively. How is my personal preference of drinks an offense? Unacceptable for someone to say that. I had the meal deal of the salad, crisps and drink. Apparently me asking if I could have a juice instead of the carbonated drink also your staff thought was rude. Again how is a preferred option rude or offensive? The meal was very boring and bland. The braised kale had it's rough stalks left on it. I'm not certain if her behaviour was hostile as both my friend and I are not Welsh. She told my friend that two of the Mrs Crumbs were vegan when they contain eggs and milk. It's written on the packs which my friend only noticed after she purchased and consumed it. We trusted your staff and she miss led her. She never apologised when raised with her instead of looking at the ingredients on the packs she goes and fetches 3/4 messy disorganised files with loose papers to verify. She takes the file at the back and returns them. It shows according to her that it had no milk. We pointed out the ingredients on the package itself states eggs and milk as an ingredient. She argues that the manufacturer gave her the list. This made me loose trust on if the white hot chocolate was suitable for vegans in the first place. All there in those files is hand pen ticked boxes which she can easily go at the back and tick them. She lost our trust and she lacks integrity. She speaks over you, raises her volume and dismisses what you say. Very hostile behaviour. What would I like, an apology would be nice, improved vegan options, improved organised allergen/ingredients list for each item, staff trained to be respectful and polite.

Overpriced and my panini had a long cobweb on it .... I don't know what else to say.

£3.90 to have my tongue burned by an overpriced flat white. Not sure on the quality yet but it doesn’t bode well. Update - Average coffee quality.

Was out in Cardiff Bay with my daughter and her friend. We were looking for somewhere to have lunch and happened to see this place. Really friendly staff, good menu and prices and the food was lovely.

Very average coffee, very overpriced (£3.50 for an okay flat white). Not sure what a laboratory has to do with the making of the coffee there

Well I can’t say the ladies server were rude... but more the service was non existent. No please, thank you, hello etc. The sandwich I ordered looks like it was made by a bear. There was little chicken in the sandwich just semi stale bread that was in several pieces and lots of salad. I genuinely expect a sandwich like that to come with an apology. But no, not even a “thank you” or a “have a nice day”. I would strongly recommend the owner invests in some mystery shoppers because my experience was poor and I won’t return. The 2 stars is for the coffee which was delicious!

A lovely coffee shop that offers a range of hot and cold beverages, food, cakes and snacks. The prices are a little on the high end but worth paying. Great location, especially when working in the area. Definitely recommended!

Nice coffee shop with selection of cakes

It might have changed a bit by now. I used to pop in regularly on my way to work. Some of the staff members took quite a long time to get a coffee made, but they tasted great once done. The decor is nice - brick interior with low lighting. There are "patio" doors that open up into the street in the summer. Nice.

First time visit to Cardiff. First place we visited. Great options for drinks and cakes. Enkoyed the first freakshake. Reasonably priced as well.

4 of us Popped in here for a coffee last early last Friday after a long drive down to Cardiff , great coffee and excellent service from the girl behind the counter!

Stopped off after the Cardiff triathlon to have a well earned coffee it was a great blend well made. This is a unique coffee shop right by Cardiff Bay.. Lots of homemade cakes too and fresh juices. Windows open so you can see out and enjoyed watching the elite triathletes cycle pass.

Nice decor, good coffee and cake.

I really liked the quirky décor in here, especially the wall containing pictures of the Bay. The teas and cake we had were also good, especially the Nutella cookies. We visited on a snowy day and were told the place would be closing in 20 mins, which was fair enough, but we did get a vibe that we were a bit of a nuisance and this did spoil the experience a little.

I've been in here a couple of times now. The atmosphere is always very relaxed and the staff are lovely. There's a huge variety of cakes on offer and the slices are huge. I had coffee cake and a latte which was really nice. The sofa by the window is cosy and I got a nice bit of sunshine as it was directly above the window. The price was also really good. Would recommend :)

Quiet, cosy, and delicious coffee!

Ahh for a decent coffee. Some places the coffee is so insipid. This place is great. Double shot cappuccino and a simple home made mars rice crispy tray bake. Fabulous. Quirky decor, vintage furniture and nice and cosy. Will be back!

Cakes are delicious, some home made. Great range of hot and cold drinks... the retro decor makes this coffee shop a great place in the Bay and a welcoming change from the modern bland shops around the Cardiff Bay area. I also visited on a hot summer day when the bifold windows were wide open. What a great place to relax over a coffee, definitely worth a visit when in the Bay area

Disappointing. Thought coffee would be amazing but it was average at best! Black Americano was weak with no crema on top :(.

No professional staff. Kids pretend to be baristas but they only students with really basic skill.
