Lovely food, lovely staff and atmosphere. Go on a Friday or Saturday and you will listen to Ken who sings and plays soul. A treat!

We booked for an afternoon start at 1:30 pm and there was so much food, we left around 4:30pm and didn't need any more food till breakfast the next morning (a few nuts and snacks with drinks at home in the evening of course) as we were so full! This is my local Mediterranean restaurant, so I go here again and again. Every visit I bring new friends and they are always happy with the food. My recommendation would be the meat sharing platter for 2 as it comes with just about every kebab, Chicken and lamb Shish plus Kofte, and enough starters to share between 4 people, costing around £25 per person for this spread. Then if there are 4 of you, the other 2 can easily share your meze (starters) dishes as the bread is lovely and soft and fresh warm with lovely seeds to give it another flavour level. Our friends said they were quite full after the starters alone. So my friend and I ordered the shared platter, girls ordered some other dishes with meat and Aubergine which they said were also amazing and looked nicer than ours as their dishes were swimming in juicy sauces. There was no room for pudding, but the owner served us some fantastic fresh Baklava with our coffees and treated us like royalty and very attentive. Love this place. If you want to have a meal that has plenty of food and you have a healthy appetite, then this is the right place!

Been many times to this local restaurant. It’s very good and always full. They cook very good. Everything is tasty and very delicious. The stuff are friendly, well coming, fast and professional. They have a nice rear garden and also nice terrace. It’s reasonable priced. Fridays and Saturdays they have live music and belly dancing 💃 I recommend this place

Came for a late lunch for the MIL’s birthday. Food was delicious and priced appropriately. Service and attention was brilliant. The MIL uses a walking stick and was able to easily navigate around the restaurant including to the toilets which are now all downstairs. Staff were extremely attentive and knowledgeable, I have allergies to nuts and sesame and I was able to trust that my food choices were safe. Was quiet at 2pm on a Saturday which surprised me, I love the atmosphere, music, decor etc and will definitely be returning.

Lovely birthday meal chicken shish was delicious and complimentary liqueur what more could you ask for !

We went here Sunday for my mums birthday, I have to say food was excellent, staff very welcoming and would fully recommend, thank you for a great afternoon, five star service. 👍

I had the chicken shish plate, comes with salad and buttery rice, delicious - the chicken was so tasty. The staff are really nice, attentive and welcoming. My colleagues and I have been here for lunch quite a few times.

3.5 is the score I'd give them but seeing as I can't, let's work with 4. Food was nice and well priced too. I liked the atmosphere, nice lighting, lovely music, nice furniture and all. Some of the food could have been a bit more savoury, then again I suppose they aren't used to catering to people with my very spicy palate. They made me a mock tail from some powder in a sachet. At the very least, they shouldn't have let me see that lol. Olives were the free starter offered and olives are not for me at all. I think they should stick with the garlic bread, which as then added on for free to my meal order anyway. It would have served better as the free starter/appetiser. Finally, the waiter forgot my order of icecream for dessert, heck he wasn't taking notes when I made the order so I'm not surprised. I didn't complain either, saved me 5 bucks and I was already proper stuffed lol. I'm all, it was a nice experience. I'd ve happy to drop by some other time for a meal

This is a true wonderful experience. This restaurant made you feel so welcome and the decor gave the place such a cosy ambiance. The staff were so friendly and then the live music began, such lovely tunes played by the guitarist, he had such a good voice, he wasn't too quiet or too loud, just perfect. The menu had so many choices even for a vegetarian like me. The food was amazing and so delicious. Then we had a surprise belly dancer, who was very talented, she even managed to encourage my girlfriend up to join her. What a night!! Thank you

Great place to eat. Have vegan options as well . At the weekend they have a live singer who plays the guitar and a lovely belly dancer !

Absolutely horrendous and will never go back. 5 of us ordered 5 different dishes which was ok but we've all been up all night with bad stomach's. In fact 20 minutes after leaving and going to a pub down the road we were in and out the toilet. There's obviously a huge hygiene issue here as all 5 dishes were contaminated with something. After looking on the gov food hygiene website I can see their last inspection was 6 April 2022. Maybe the council need to go back ! I gave the service one star as we were rushed and a 12 year old boy was bringing us our alcoholic drinks. Seemed a bit strange.

It’s really bad experience tonight, submitted order at 5:30PM, order supposed to arrive 6:10 to 6:25PM, rung 6:25PM regarding order and been told waiting for driver ? 6:45PM rung again and been told that order will be arriving but order arrived at 7:00PM, very cold and smajee, time on receipt order left 6:10PM , it’s not only this but the attitude is rude and disrespectful over the telephone which hurt too, they do not have how to speak with customers, rude harsh and don’t have manners just put

Where do I start... I'm going to be really honest, this was my first and last time here. First off we were promised a live music which turned out to be more on the lines of mumbling some lines. The atmosphere was drab and non existent. The food was cold and tasteless. Most of my friends that went (12+) we couldn't finish our meals as meat was uncooked and carbs (rice / chips) were still frozen. We paid £30pp for a belly dancer, live music and a set menu, which is fair enough. The belly dancer was outstanding as always and was entertaining. Couldn't say the same about the service and fixtures. We asked for water a number of times and was then presented with a plastic water bottle which wasn't very clean with tap water and was told to share this across the table. We were not impressed. The reason for this was they had run out of jugs (btw no-one had jugs) or food for that matter. Timely delivery of food, didn't exist. We got to the restaurant at 19:30, we had some drinks caught up ordered. Starters came out at 20:50. We then entertained by shouting in the kitchen and what seemed to be a disagreement between all staff, other diners at this point started walking out without eating anything as they had waited so long. Then at 21:57 we were graced with our main meal which was half hot half cold. Rice was pretty much frozen, meat was hot but as mentioned before, some was uncooked. Not too mention the smallest lime in my 'strawberry daiquiri' which has literally no taste. We you can tell from the pictures these were not happy customers a lot of food was left... Yes a plastic container for my sweet and sour sauce instead of the promised aioli sauce. Bearing on mine the whole time we sat with our coats and scarves on as the AC was turned up so high our hands were turning blue. In conclusion, if you want to pay through the nose for cold, uncooked and unfriendly stay them please come enjoy (sarcasm).

Enjoyed a lovely meal for my brother's 59th birthday. We were a group of 8 and most had never been here before. Food, service and atmosphere was fantastic. The singer that was also performing was amazing and so was the belly dancer. A thoroughly enjoyable evening had by all. Thank you.

7 of us visited Ephesus again for another birthday celebration. Lovely atmosphere, being a Monday in November we thought it may be a bit quiet but there were plenty of people in there. Lovely food all round. Chap who served us was efficient, friendly and really on the ball all evening looking after all of his customers. Very attentive. Been here a lot and will continue to support this superb restaurant. Well done and thanks for making our special evening so successful. We'll be back.

Went for a meal here on Saturday evening. Food is always fresh and well cooked. Service is excellent and the atmosphere is great. Ken the singer and guitarist adds to the mood. Had a belly dancer there too. Great night.

You know you’ve landed somewhere that impresses you when you make a video of your food, (I mean, do we do that these days)? And say to each other: Come to Ephesus and forget you are in Orpington for a while. We’ve only been living in Orpington for 10 years and never been here. We were so glad we’ve put that right as this venue, with its Turkish inspired food, complete with live entertainment when we came, transports you via all your senses to your favourite Turkish holiday destination. We are both blind and came with our Guide Dogs who were also made very welcome. The staff were more than happy to spend time reading the menu out to us and we felt that they were very aware when placing what we had ordered in front of us, telling us where things were positioned and making sure we had all we needed. Nothing felt like too much trouble to them. Prices are very reasonable for a restaurant which not only provide quality food and service but, throw entertainment in for good measure too. Again huge thanks to all the staff and the lovely lady in particular who spent time with us, happy to read out the menu. Fantastic!

I've been here a few times and each time the food has been fantastic and the ambience lovely. On weekdays and Sundays the atmosphere isn't very loud so perfect for catching up with friends and family. The staff took great care with regard to my allergies, citrus and gluten and were able to assure me the food involved no cross contamination and so it was coeliac safe (I've never been sick after eating here). The staff were all really knowledgeable about ingredients in their food and really kind and helpful. Definitely recommend!

Booked for mothers day lunch. They were great with my food intolerances. Decor and ambience is great, however we were disappointed with the food. It was all so bland & unseasoned. Maybe we picked the wrong things, all had fish!? My prawn cocktail starter, prawns were obviously from frozen, tasteless & full of water. Same prawns, only cooked on fish platter main, that my son had. Good size fresh, sea bass though!

I ate here on a Saturday night with a friend for my birthday, food was brilliant, we had the sharing mezze dishes. So much if it, we couldn’t finish it and took some home. I had wine and a cocktail, both very tasty. Live music & belly dancer was a fun touch. Would highly recommend. Reasonably priced.

I booked table a week in advanced for mother’s Day and asked for quite table out of the way if possible and they said yeah it’s fine table will be ready for you at 6pm on Sunday and we confirmed it on the day, when we arrived there was no table ready spoke to manager who tried to sit us in the middle of walk way when we asked can we sit somewhere else as there were few quite tables available he really rudely said if you don’t want to sit here then leave. That was absolutely disgusting behaviour from manager he ruined Mother’s Day for us then we left, we will definitely not be returning to this restaurant ever AGAIN.

Booked for Father’s Day. Extremely dissatisfied! We waited very long for our starters and even longer for the main course. What was worse, we have all ( 6 people) experienced extremely bad stomach ache afterward . I will not be going back!

I booked a table for myself and four friends for a Christmas get together with the expectation of lively night with belly dancer. The food was ok, there was no atmosphere whatsoever but the worst of all it was freezing cold. When I complained the waiter bought out two small heater which were completely inadequate. It completely ruined the evening!!

Delivery was 25 minutes late. Food is delish, but serving is a lot less compared when dining in. Missing Bulgur with meat lovers.

We’ve just had our first takeaway from here and it is the first of many. The food was amazing and so tasty. It was clean and fresh. My husband had a mixed grill and I had the chicken shish. Cannot recommend highly enough.

They've got rid of the set menu and don't give bread anymore at the start. Small things like that make a big difference. Will not be going back as there are better value Turkish places on the high street and close by.

Ordered a lamb casserole and was very disappointed. The "sauce" was mostly water without any taste.

We have ordered from Ephesus quite a lot but the last few times it has been disappointing. We ordered hummus and tarama as part of our order and we were given two small pieces of bread to go with it. Usually there would be at least four bits of bread. The rest of the food was good but not up to its usual standard. Don’t think we will order from here again.

Food tastes great but we ordered 2 fish lovers and only got 1 fish and what I thought was only 1 set of the other stuff (calamari whitebait etc) in one box, when we called saying we think they forgot our second fish lovers they told us no its 2 for 2 people to get 1 set and you can't order 1 fish lovers. So for £42 effectively you only feed 2 people. I did call back and was emphatically told that I am mistaken it costs the company £17 for 1 fish and I should contact just eat if I have a problem. Turns out just eat don't have a phone number any more. I will update when I hear back.

Food was all over the place when delivered. Two items had leaked in the bag. On top of that it did not taste very nice - bland and undercooked in places. The haloumi was like rubber. Not impressed and won't be ordering again.

We love eating at Ephesus but we won't do delivery again. The hot food was cold and soggy and the cold meze had slid around the large foil tray and was all mixed up together. The taramasalata was particularly runny and unpleasant. The rice that arrived with the lamb ribs honestly looked like leftovers, with sweetcorn and chickpeas in it. When did you stop making your own falafel? That manufactured one was over cooked and completely dry.

The food here is always amazing for me and the real care in the presentation is amazing also. Was glad to try out dishes I haven't had in a long time like Kleftiko which was so delicious.

Was really nice but the second time we’ve ordered a mixed meze and they haven’t put in the whitebait. The food could of been hotter as well but I get that with delivery that doesn’t always happen.

Ordered for mother's day, mixed grills were very good and large portions , lamb beyti again was tasty and good sized portion and iskender was again very tasty. Food arrived piping hot and will certainly be ordering again.

Really good food, well priced and large portions! Only one thing is that the salmon was a bit dry, but thats the only thing I could fault. Looking forward to trying other things on the menu...
