Envy Vegetarian and Vegan Eatery in West Lindsey

A terrific Vegetarian/Vegan eatery with a lovely selection of foods on the menu. So spoilt for choice it’s difficult to decide. The eatery is very clean and staff are delightful. Check opening times before visiting

Love that this cafe is a small ind and the staff are lovely. There is a fabulous fresh smell when you walk in from the salad bar. Very nice surroundings and very clean. Don’t like paying extra for soya milk however especially in a veggie cafe. Would like to see more variety on the specials board and maybe an update to the menu. Also it can be very very cold. Wrap up warm I’d visiting in winter.

Love the restaurant the food is amazing don't miss meat. The staff are the friendliest ever Everything we have eaten is fantastic. The Christmas dinner was fantastic

I popped in today for a quick drink and cake I got a delicious beetroot cake with a very nice latte coffee

I’ve been reading some of the other reviews and it does make me chuckle when I read ‘I’m not a vegan or vegetarian but still loved the food’. Because vegetarian and vegan food is not tasty? Vegan food is the best because it can be delicious if cooked by someone who knows what they are doing and it is guilt free. No animal suffered and died for a meal that is over in 15 minutes. Service here is impeccable and the staff lovely and friendly. I would visit more often given the choice but due to the restricted opening times it isn’t very often I am able to. The food was lovely as usual. I chose the vegan burrito which had a bit too much white rice in for my liking and not enough of the roasted veg and red kidney beans (carbs on carbs as my husband calls it) but I still enjoyed it and will make sure I order something else next time. Whilst the core menu is great it might be time to change it a little as regulars might get fed up of the same options each time. There is a lot of choice though even for vegans. I would prefer if they were 100% vegan but I also know they would lose some of their non veggie and vegan customers if they did. Shame they’ve stopped opening late on a Friday night also as we would have liked to have come one week but can’t afford to go regularly. It’s fab that they have some cheaper options on the specials board such as soup etc. As not everyone can afford £8-9+ for a main. Will definitely be back sometime next year. Popped in for brunch today and my wife and I both had the mushroom, shallot and herb pannini with a salad to share. I had a large americano and my wife had a diet coke. Couldn't fault it. Everything was bright and fresh and obviously cooked to order. Felt really well looked after.

Went for lunch and was very pleased. Great food and friendly people in pleasant surroundings. I had the jackfruit and it was delicious.

A very pleasant cafe with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Lots of delicious healthy food choices. I would prefer it to be wholly vegan, personally, but it's still a lovely place to be. If I have one criticism, I would rather not be charged extra for soya milk and would also prefer a choice of plant milks for coffee (eg, oat, almond, hazelnut). On the whole, a wonderful little place.

Love this place for fresh, wholesome vegan food. I love the pita wrap with crunchy salad and falafel - so tasty! Always lovely, friendly service too.

Another visit to this excellent eatery offering fresh and tasty veggie food at reasonable prices. We shared the vegan pizza and the homemade lentil and vegetable soup with warm bread rolls. The meal was delicious and the dairy free chocolate milkshake, espresso and Americano hit the spot as well. Little things can enhance a dining experience, such as the good quality cutlery and the fresh carnations on every table. The owners and staff were very welcoming and friendly and it was so heartening to see all the other diners enjoying the lovely veggie and vegan menu options.

Wasn’t aware this place existed until a friend recommended it for lunch and a coffee. What a lovely little place with a great menu and good service. I’m in no way vegetarian or vegan but regardless the food was beautiful and it was a change. Will come back.

Brought my son who was dubious about the concept. We shared the Meze platter which was very good. Amazing lemony hoummous. No room for dessert so took home a selection of cakes for later. Very attentive staff and really clean restaurant. Highly recommend as does my son! Only complaint is that the toilet was very cold.

We love it here (as does anyone vegan from the surrounding area) but don’t manage to visit very often, maybe twice a year due to the opening hours. Took my vegan daughter for her birthday (I’m vegan too) and my other daughter and her boyfriend who hadn’t been before. We all ordered vegan and bought puddings to take home. 2 falafel pitas, 1 vegan pizza, and 1 moussaka. The fresh orange juice was lovely! We were all stuffed but the kids popped to the ice cream shop and we brought pudding home. Can’t wait for the next visit! By the way the 2 of the party that hadn’t been before really enjoyed their vegan food. Great service too!

We'd heard good reviews about this place, so decided to pay it a visit. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent, ditto the portion size, which is a rarity for vegetarian food providers, most of whom seem to believe that veggies are stick insects with tiny appetites. The staff were friendly and always ready to help. It was a delight to be able to choose anything on the menu and to not have to worry about hidden meat, such as vegetable soup made with chicken stock! My only complaint would be that it is only open for lunches, not evening meals.

My brother took me to Envy for lunch today. He is not a vegetarian but thought it would like it. We both had the most delicious lunches. He had a vegetarian burrito and I had a pita with nutty mushroom filling. I am quite fussy and didn’t want a lot of the salads, but the staff were super accommodating and still made my pita full and tasty. The coffee was really good, and the cakes were delicious. They had a great menu with many choices, different from the usual cafe food.

Fantastic selection and amazing quality of food. The atmosphere is lovely and all the staff are very friendly, we would definitely return again. Even my dad, the biggest meat eater I know, said that the food was exceptional. I had the falafel salad and he had the burrito, both were delicious and the cakes which we tried were also great. The perfect place to visit for lunch,even if you're not vegan or vegetarian.

The atmosphere and food was brilliant. And the staff were the most friendliest people I have met in a cafe. Definitely a hidden gem in Blyton. Must go to cafe! We will be visiting again very soon!

The food and cakes are amazing. Something for everyone. Not being vegetarian myself I was a little unsure at first but once I'd tasted the food it was a different story. The staff are wonderful, hardworking and friendly.

Our first visit was one of being seriously impressed. As a vegetarian it was a lovely change to be spoilt with choices. Obviously, you dont have to be vegetarian to eat here and I would recommend giving it a try to be pleasantly surprised with the variety of choices on the menu. The food was delicious and extremely well presented. This really is worth travelling to.

This is the second time my daughter and I have visited envy and this time was just as good as the first, from the moment you walk in you feel welcome as it has such a lovely atmosphere. My daughter choose the falafel wrap and I had the nutty mushroom cutlet salad, both dishes were excellent in taste and portion size and you have a tough decision in choosing what to have from the menu as everything sounds so good and then there’s the specials board! We were both full very full afterwards so we couldn’t fit in any cake but luckily you get the option for takeout as well so it would be rude not to try the cakes also . This place just couldn’t be any better, Lisa and Lyn and all of their staff are so friendly and we look forward to our next visit.

A lovely place for lunch (even if you're not a vegetarian or vegan). Offers a range of cooked dishes, wonderful salads and a home made soup of the day. They also have a range of vegetarian and vegan cakes.

This was our first visit for my husband & I, We are not vegan/vegetarian but after spotting the sign for this Eatery we just had to try it out & it certainly did not disappoint at all. The service the food the place itself & the owners was truly excellent! I will from now on call it my "Happy Place" I highly recommend a must visit even to all You meat eaters out there give it a go, you will be very happy indeed that you chose well. We saw this wonderful eatery advertised in the Lincolnshire magazine and thought we would try it out , and we were not disappointed. The cafe is presented well homely atmosphere and very welcoming. The choice of food is middle eastern based and so tasty. There is a good choice from the menu and the portions are very generous. I had a falafel wrap it really was good with a big selection of salad to accompany it. The staff were friendly and efficient and the service was quick. Everything on the menu is very reasonably priced we will definitely be going back again.

Met a friend here for a coffee. I arrived early and so had a piece of flapjack with its corner dipped in chocolate. When you see them at the counter you find yourself thinking”Pick that one, it’s got more chocolate on!”. We were able to leave vehicles there while we rode off for a 20 odd mile bike ride and returned to have coffee and yes, another piece of chocolate covered flapjack...well, I did. It tasted so good it stopped me feeling remotely guilty.

Daughter is a vegetarian verging on vegan but I am a meat lover. Since this eatery is vegan then there is a huge choice for her ethical values and enough on the menu to tempt me to "be good". Wraps are huge ,fillings varied and satisfying. For myself I have enjoyed pasties and burritos.

We were thoroughly impressed by the wholesome and delicious lunch we enjoyed at this attractive eatery. The falafel salad and the nutty & mushroom cutlet pitta were nicely presented, flavoursome and satisfying. Thankfully we had just enough room to share the individual homemade rhubarb pie and ice cream, which was lovely. Little things can enhance a dining experience, such as the good quality cutlery and the fresh flowers on every table. The owners and staff were very pleasant and friendly and it was so heartening to see people of all ages enjoying the excellent veggie and vegan menu options.

Visited with a friend who had been before , neither of us vegetarian . Had the pasty , chickpea , potato and veg , with gravy , mint sauce and mushy peas , it was so tasty . Service was really good , very friendly hosts , as my son is vegan took home some cakes and nutty sausage rolls . We all loved them . Would definitely return.

only one of our party is a vegetarian, however, we decided to give it a go .. very friendly staff, busy little place.. A small menu and a specials board serving hot and cold selections.. we all chose a different main course.. I had the nut cutlet salad bowl ... it was delicious .. very fresh and zingy .. while the other members of the party chose the falafel wrap, falafel salad and the moussaka ... service was not to long and they were very friendly.. when the meal arrived I did think the nut cutlets looked a bit small but I can honestly say I struggled to finish it ... the salad had plenty of flavour and content ... my only gripe ( and it is a small one) there seamed to be too many tables for the space .. difficult to get seated without disturbing other diners.. we were not the only ones struggling with this... all in all I would highly recommend this little gem of a place and will be returning.

We went to Envy on Saturday on the recommendation of a friend, the food was superb, I thought there was a really good choice and the food was home cooked and delicious, portion sizes were big and price was average chain pub priced so very reasonable. It is only a small place but there were a few customers so a nice atmosphere, there were a few families with young children and provisions for children looked to be good- chair booster seats and good colouring in/activities to keep them entertained. I was happy to see a children’s menu too with good choices. Our teenager could not find anything of interest but is extremely fussy so settled for potato wedges and a home made milkshake, and was happy with both these. Well worth a visit and was lovely to see it is clearly a family business.

What can i say keep going back to Envy because it is so good, everything so fresh and clean

This is my favourite place to eat Vegan food and what a pleasure it was to return today to take my husband for his first visit and find the place packed to the rafters. As a vegan it feeds my soul to see so many people enjoying healthy, cruelty free food. I had the most amazing Signature Pitta today, followed by Peanut butter and Oat tray bake. It was really difficult to choose though because as always I wanted to try everything. Can't wait for my next visit.

We have been meaning to visit for a while and what a tasty treat it is. So much vegan choice. The pasty was lovely as was the “sos” roll and the soup. The salads looked fresh and inviting and a nice range of cakes too.

Visited today with my husband. I am vegetarian, he isn't. Had the most enjoyable, tasty salads with nutty and mushroom cutlet and quinoa & pinto bean pattie respectively. The whole experience was perfect from the lady taking our order, to the chef coming out to us with our meals. The restaurant is delightful and quaint as are the surroundings. My husband was really impressed with his meal and we bought some to take home. While we were there we observed what other diners had chosen and everything looked truly appealing. We will definitely be returning.

Visited for the first time & will definitely be back again! I would recommend, nice service & the excellent food that you can tell they take pride & effort into tailoring to customer needs I can highly recommend the falafel pitta it was delicious with lots of different flavours in each bite. My husband had the Quorn Chilli with potato wedges which was nice and for pudding Apple pie & Ice cream which was scrumptious! Well worth a visit

Had an excellent lunch here What a change to not have to scour a menu to see if there is a vegan option All the food looked very fresh and colourful i ha the curry and my son had the chilli not disappointed Got to keep going back to try the rest of the menu deserts are jummy too Even if your not vegan or a veggi you must give it a try Even the coffee is good Staff very helpful definatley going again

First visit and it exceeded all expectations. It was brilliant to be able to choose a vegan meal without checking everything that's in the ingredients. Not only were the staff really friendly and helpful the other diners were welcoming. We took away cake as we were too. Full to eat it there. Loved the whole experience. Will definitely go again.

Visited Envy for the first time today for a Christmas lunch with colleagues and friends.

Wow! What a gem to find in our home village of Blyton. We had falafel pitta bread which we couldn't finish so the owner put what was left in a container for us to take home.

Love this cafe! Went on the spur of the moment and wasn't disappointed. Lovely staff and delicious food which is good value for money. Will be back. Just wish they were open a bit later on a Saturday.

Our family visited this restaurant for Saturday lunch and found it light and airy. The choice and quality of food was excellent and we were not disappointed with the portion sizes either! The proprietors were both friendly and welcoming and the service quick and efficient. The whole experience was a textbook example of how a restaurant should be managed. Although our daughter is a vegetarian, the rest of the family are not but we all found the choice of food tasty and wholesome and we will certainly be visiting again.

Called in as we were passing for coffee What a gem of a place very clean staff very friendly was on our way to visit family so lunch was pre arranged elsewhere, but definitely going back to eat the food looked delicious, one of our visitors from Canada said it was the best latte she has had in her 3 week s over here

First impressions are always important and walking into a clean tidy and well appointed space with good quality tables and chairs is a very good start. The service was very good and the staff polite and cheerful and were only too willing to be of assistance when I needed needed to know more about the menu. The food was amazing, freshly prepared and full of flavour. I had a pitta and it was really filling. Next time I shall try the cakes as they looked delicious but I just didn't have room today! It was so nice not to be hassled or hurried and so we stayed for another cup of excellent coffee. I will certainly be visiting here again and also be recommending my friends to try it.

Late birthday get together with friends. We all had afternoon tea, simply the best one we have had to date and believe me we have eaten our way through quite a few! Sandwiches, crisps, vegetarian filled wrap, nutty filled pastry roll, coleslaw, 3 different types of cake, scone with clotted cream and jam, with pots of tea aplenty.There was so much to eat that we all took our cakes home in containers kindly supplied by the owners. A little dearer than some of the other afternoon teas but worth every penny. Remember I always say "you get what you pay for".

As a lifelong vegetarian I expect to look at a menu and find one or two, or sometimes if I'm lucky three, veggie dishes. To go here and look at the menu which is entirely veggie or vegan was fantastic! Husband is a dedicated carnivore but bravely entered this meat free zone. We had a mezze board and a large mushroom and nut cutlet salad and shared them. The mezze board was great - two kinds of hummus, falafel, salads I didn't even know the names of and pitta bread, along with a tiny amount of something beginning with H which is made from ground sesame seeds and has a lovely sweet flavour to finish with. Every mouthful was a taste explosion.

We popped in here for some lunch on Wednesday after having seen the sign outside when we had previously driven past.

Popped in for a coffee and treat on a sunny Saturday. Lovely new place, needs frequenting. I had the gooseberry pie with ice cream and it was seriously yummy. Blyton is well worth a visit not least for the Ice Cream and the local pub and now for Envy too. Could I ask for one thing though, add some curtains or rugs or similar to soak up some of the echo?

Had a quick bite to eat as we have been meaning to pay a visit since it opened but as we are at work/school all week we didn't have chance as it closes at 2.30pm on a Saturday. Wasn't disappointed! Lovely and clean and fresh. Gorgeous smells of fresh tasty food as you walk in. Really enjoyed it! And vegan cake!!!!

Called in on spec as my daughter is vegan ,but we are carnivorous ,but were both veggies for ten years. It's in a lovely classy setting ,clean n chic , friendly but not pretentious. I was not expecting the quite expansive menu ,we all had falafel wraps ,n drinks that were not for the faint hearted,filled with the freshest favours your palate can take. Amazing morrocan tabouleh etc . Me and my wife will definitely be returning to sample the cake. The passion in the kitchen shows ,as does the fresh flavour of homemade ingredients

First visit to the lovely new local café, excellent ille coffee, variety of other drinks available. Lovely selection of different savoury ideas on the menu both hot and cold. Also great for a coffee and cake. We had a lunch of gluten free wrap with falafel and salad all fresh and tasty , and herby mushrooms on toast. Perfect for a quality tasty lunch. Friendly staff and pleasant surroundings. And did I mention cake , a variety of cakes available again with GF option . Will be back again soon.
