Encanto in Hertsmere

This was out first meal at Encanto, and we were not disappointed! We had a series of tapas - all of which were very authentic, fresh cooked and well presented. We then had grilled chicken and broken eggs and ham.. also excellent. The wine was great - well chilled white rioja. The waiter was professional and efficient, and made sure that all was well paced and comfortable. I think we were surprised how quiet the restaurant was - but suspect the football was probably responsible! So good to have such a good Spanish restaurant locally now...

First visit but definitely won’t be the last! Great service… have a couple of allergies which they were so helpful with.. couldn’t do enough to make sure I was catered for! We had the prawn and tuna steak skewers. Lovely! Tried a white Rioja… also very good! Will be back!! Thank you to the staff on Friday 14th June!

Lovely tapas in the heart of Potters Bar. We've been a couple of times and have worked our way through most of the tapas plates. The gambas (prawns) are a favourite as well as classic padron peppers and patatas bravas. All washed down with the white rioja. This is a great spot for a relaxed and delicious meal out, we'll be back soon

Fantastic food with a fantastic server. Gave us a free birthday treat aswell. 100% recommend to any tapas lover or enjoyers of Spanish cuisine !

Amazing food every time, and always excellent service. The seafood is especially good - I love the octopus and my girls swear by the prawns…

Garlic prawns (£9) very average and 3 tiny sardines (£5.50) okay, but barbecued meats (£38.95!!!) awful. Everything was covered in unappetising black grit/rub which made all meats (pork belly, rabbit and chicken) taste the same and masked their own natural flavour. Half rabbit was a meat free rib cage and a small over cooked leg, pork belly very fatty, chicken overcooked. Positives - service was friendly and straw fries the highlight of the meal. Madri lager £8.50 a pint! In summary, the two of us came away very disappointed and £100 lighter! Vastly better options out there at more competitive prices. Will not return.

My first visit and I was really impressed. The staff were really friendly and a great menu. Had the specials of tapas to share and then the paella- wonderful. Good drinks menu too. Will definitely going back. Thanks to all the staff.

This is a massive improvement on Algarve which was there before. The food is authentic Spanish & is served with a smile & a thoughtful chat. Denissa is a lovely lady & is attentive & smiles throughout. Well worth a visit!

Local restaurant and made a wonderful change from the usual on offer. Staff were friendly and attentive. Sangria was great, tapas and mains were plentiful. Had a desert and a barraquito which pushed us over the edge but was well worth it 😂. Planned to walk home to walk it off but got as far as the cab station ! Bill was reasonable and will definitely be returning soon.

We were really excited to try a local restaurant and pleased to see a recently closed restaurant had reopened. The service was patchy, and it wasn't really busy. The menu is ok, the drinks ok. Everything was fairly slow. We were told they were waiting for a coffee machine, when we tried to order coffee and brandy. It all seemed a little ameuturish, we were disappointed. Shame ,we wanted it to be really good as its a local restaurant. We liked the prawn, tuna kebab, but had to send the lukewarm mussels back. A few tweaks and it could be really nice. Up your game pls

We went to Encanto out of curiosity it turned up to be very pleasant visit, there was four of us we all ordered different dishes we were all satisfied with what we ordered service was very attentive price is very fair I can and will highly recommend, we will be going back soon. 🙏
