Me and my boyfriend came here for his birthday and got the steak tartare for starters which was amazing and the t bone had a main and it was tender like butter! Shout out to Rodrigo for his amazing service ❤️ really recommend

While looking for somewhere to eat for lunch came across this restaurant and decided to try it out. We had the set lunch menu and had a very nice starter (garlic mushrooms) and two perfectly cooked steaks (En Steak cut and rump steak). The staff were attentive and friendly, and the food was tasty, well presented and fairly priced.

Amazing food! Tried wagu and was well worth the money. Absolutely fabulous service especially from our waiter Marco who looked after us perfectly. Will definitely visit again

Great evening at En Steak Birmingham, great food with good choice of options, supports dietary requirements, extensive choice of drinks, nice ambience and attentive staff. Didn't feel rushed. Nice location on the waterfront. The steak was just as good as other steak restaurants in Birmingham and reasonably priced.

We were lured into this place by the 2 courses for £17 lunch deal which is served up to 5:00pm. The rump steak I had was a cut of good meat perfectly done to medium rare, sealed on the outside but still with a bit of blood in the centre. But the surprise was a good Ceasar salad. Such a simple dish, but very rarely got right in this country. At En Steak they realise it is all about the dressing and that the purpose of the leaves is to hold the dressing and that the other ingredients are there just for contrast of taste and texture. An overall very satisfying experience and ridiculously good value. Will definitely return some evening for a full price fillet.

Warm welcome and excellent service from Zante and Tommy for this solo woman of a certain age. Perfect steak (Hereford fillet, rare), chargrilled veg and passion fruit panna cotta. Thoroughly recommend.

Amazing restaurant, beautifully decorated / dim lights. The menu is superb! We had the huge rump steak (which was to die for!) and the sirloin, both well cooked. The cocktails were yummy - only £6 each because we went on a weekday. Customer service was exquisite, Zanete was more than helpful, friendly and polite; 5 stars there for sure! I really wish I could have had the same experience as the other people who've left such positive reviews, but unfortunately my experience was much worse. The restaurant is a little tucked away and upon arriving, although we'd booked over the phone with a particular person who assured us our request to be seated in a quiet area was fine, we were just plonked on a table right next to the bar. It is not possible to get a table in a quiet area; there isn't much space for tables and the music is quite loud. There was also a really strong smell of raw meat which we couldn't ignore. As it was quite cold we were seated right next to a portable heater, and even then we could feel a gust of wind whenever someone came in or left. It took a while to order, both drinks and our food, as there only appeared to be 1 person taking orders for the whole restaurant on a saturday evening, and others just bringing items out. These things alone made for an experience which wasn't particularly pleasant, however the biggest disappointment was the food. We both ordered filet steak and honestly what we received could have come out at a Wetherspoons. Watery steak with artificial looking grill marks and no real flavour. I really didn't expect to pay so much for such poor quality meat that genuinely looked like it had been sitting in a water bath all day until someone ordered. Not what I would have expected at such a highly rated establishment. On top of this, after waiting a ridiculous period of time, I was able to order a side of roasted vegetables. There was no description of this and I admit my fault in assuming some sort of green ensemble but instead it was a plate of very limp, unseasoned and again watery looking peppers and aubergine or zucchini. I ended up asking for it to be taken away, again after a long wait, without even tasting anything as it didn't look appetising at all. I believe we were still charged for the dish at the end, as well as an enforced gratuity or service charge, which I didn't feel was appropriate given that the service we received was in no way worthy of gratuity. I sincerely hope that mine and my partner's experience was a one off, as I would love to actually enjoy a meal at this restaurant but nothing I've seen shows that may be possible.

Wow, the best beef ever. 2 chateaubriands to share and one rib eye with all the trimmings for 5 of us. Fantastic service. As good as it could be. Will definitely return.

Well, we have been to this restaurant a few times this year but thought that tonight's needed a special mention. We entered and had a warm welcome from Tommy as usual, but it appeared that other than the chefs he was on his own. However, given the service we received and the speed in which we received our orders you would not have thought so. He was Maitre ď, waiter, barman and manager all at the same time, and managed brilliant with atleast 10 others covers being seen too as well as us. As usual the food was amazing and the cocktails just went down way to easy. I absolutely ove this place.

We went as a family with 2 kids (11 & 13). This was one of the best experiences we have had out. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Tommy was fantastic and the Portuguese barman was awesome. The food was delicious. The nibbles went down really well, the steaks (fillet & Rump) were cooked brilliantly and the cocktails were amazing. They went above and beyond for my husband’s birthday and we would def recommend. We were too busy enjoying it to take photos.

Visited this restaurant to celebrate my son's birthday.I increased the table from 4 people to 8,it was no trouble ,when I phoned the Manager was keen to help. We had a great evening good food and cocktails,Tommy our server really looked after us and when I told him one of my Sons had a nut allergy he was very diligent in checking everything was ok for him. Will definitely be back.

Dinner was Divine, ambience was perfect and service was spot on. We were very well looked after. Staff are very friendly and approachable. We had cocktails which were very pleasant! We ordered nibbles of sweetcorn riblets, chorizo and cheese croquettes to share followed by the Chateaubiand to share 600g medium rare for two which was perfect size and cooked to our liking. It came with a side of fries and salad as well as 2 butters and 2 sauces! We also had some vegetables which was a pleasant surprise! We ordered the side of Mac and cheese which was also delicious. Definitely recommend and will be back to visit there again! We had to shoot off to a show afterwards but staff were very understanding and settled the bill very swiftly!

Absolutely fantastic our late lunch was turned into such a wonderful experience! Tommy was FANTASTIC!
