The eggs florentine was somewhat disappointing for the hefty price. Two eggs were both with solid yolks and the sourdough underneath was more of a over-toasted shard than an actual slice. I was hungry afterwards.

What a gift this wee cafe is. Not wanting to endure the long queue for a mediocre breakfast at the travelodge, I spotted Em's across the road. I had poached eggs on avocado with sourdough. Eggs were perfectly cooked and it was a super breakfast withy great coffee. My friend had the veggie breakfast with a meat sausage - she said the combination of the humous and the avocado was amazing. The best humous she has ever had. Em's is a wee treasure.

We had landed into town off the early morning flight and knew we had a busy day of shows at the Fringe ahead of us. Em's Kitchen was just the job for two Scottish breakfasts to set us up. Service was friendly and quick, and we definitely had our fill. Recommended!

I came here for brunch. I had french toast with Nutella and banana. It was very nice, but it did not feel me up as much as I wished; perhaps I should have ordered more to accompany it.

Coffee was good. I was able to get a decent gluten free meal and my wife said her food was good but not great. The food was not good enough to get 5 stars but I would eat there again.

After seeing my son off on the marathon, we knew we had at least 3 hours to kill so we headed off for breakfast. Our favourite cafe in the area was queued out the door and up the street as usual so EM’s Kitchen it was. I had tried this place before in 2018 and enjoyed but thought it was time to try again. I wasn’t disappointed. The place was definitely different to what I remembered as I sat in tables at the front of the shop which were no longer there. We were sat through the back next to a set of external doors and served quickly. All food was really well cooked and of good quality. I had the Scottish Breakfast which was very nice. I would certainly eat here again.

Found this gem of a restaurant that had a terrific breakfast! The service and food were both very good. Only thing that was disappointing was that did not serve alcohol at that time in the morning even though they had mimosas on the menu.

Came for breakfast and all enjoyed our meals. The avocado toast was outstanding and my son highly enjoyed the traditional Scottish breakfast.

Overpriced coffee (£3.80 for a latte and it wasn't even good! as expensive as in the airport) and the place doesn't have internet connection for customers! Not recommended at all

The tiny cafe at the back of the chocolate shop makes a lovely range of hot chocolates!

Great music, great cider, the food is as good as vegan food gets if you are into it and still very good if you're not. Nice people

Pretty good. Very friendly staff and a nice shop connected to it where you can get fresh fruit and veg. Plenty of options including vegan. Nice options for small children too.

A traditional friendly bar. Good choice of beers, spirits and wine. The bar staff are lovely people and make you feel welcome, the locals are friendly too. Enjoyed spending time in there.
