Em's Coffee in Barnet

Have been here quite a few times and generally it has been good. Today was terrible. Eggs were served cold and had to be sent back and remade. The porridge had something in it that looked like the remnants of an omelette or a pancake. Sent it back and got a fresh one, which was ready immediately so clearly from the same batch, and it had the same little yellow eggy bits in it. Sent it back. They didn't seem to care that I not actually had any breakfast, and did me a whole big favour not charging for the porridge, but charged full wack for everything else. No goodwill at all. I said they should at least have made the coffees complimentary but they weren’t interested. I wont be going back - 1 lost customer!! Actually 2 because my friends won't be going back either. I think its under new management, and going downhill!

Lots of drinks to choose from. Friendly people. Best cafe in ware. 5 star service and helpful on every visit I have been here

They are hilarious, they stop doing sandwiches at 3 because they say they need to get ready for tomorrow. Seriously??? Service is awful but location is great

Arrived on a Saturday morning, alot of empty seats and about 3 members of staff around but not one of them came over to seat us! We had to find our own table and get out own menus!!! The food was good, but the staff make you feel as though your a nuisance to them! ZERO customer service whatsoever!

Lovely cafe with lovely food and waiting staff. Will definitely be back. Was a shame that getting the bill took so long. Gave up and paid cash in the end which meant the tip was lower than I would have paid.

Rude and unfriendly management. I felt like a nuisance from start to finish and there was not so much as a smile from anyone. Even my son asked why they were angry with us.

My friend and I were really looking forward to a cup of tea and coffee together having not seen each other for a while. When her tea arrived, the milk was obviously sour with white bits floating all over the tea. We asked if we could change it which the waitress did; the same thing happened again as they obviously used the same milk. The staff made us feel like we were just being a nuisance and were annoyed with us as they were busy but an apology and offer of another drink would have taken 30 seconds! Then they tried to charge us for the undrinkable tea!!

Sat on an outside table in the sunshine next to a number of busy tables. The odd waitress came out to every table but ignored us. Eventually, I caught the attention of a miserable faced server and politely asked if we could have a menu when she was finished with her table. We're now sitting on a table with a collection of other people's coffee on a dirty table watching the server I had just spoken to go to the table alongside us to take a food order. I foolishly thought we would get our menu but the girl took them away, replacing them in a holder on a wall! People all around us were being served and having been ignored for 10 minutes we got up left

Waited over hour and half for food. We kept asking and they kept saying will be out in few minutes. No drinks or water offered while we waited . After many false promises and dragging things on the food came out only to be burnt and inedible. Complained and they bought out replacement items for the burnt food but again same burnt food came out. No apologies at all. Basically left food ,paid bill and walked out .

4th November 2021. Group of 2 ladies. The coffee ☕ shop is a cozy noisy local-neighborhoody homie little place. All personnel were polite and friendly. Furthermore, it has a large selection from brunch. Sweets and savory ones with simple tastes and no exaggerations.

You are spoilt for choice in the area but Em's is an excellent option with good quality food at reasonable prices. On a fine day there is lots of outside seating. There is plenty of choice on the menu to suit all tastes. The Service was prompt, friendly and efficient. The food itself was fresh, tasty and came in generous portions.

Gordon Ramsay once said idiot sandwich but when he stuffed that woman in-between 2 slices of bread he couldn't possibly imagine a restaurant or Caffe as bad as her cooking. Firstly the food was very burnt and had terrible mouth feel, my lettuce had a stalk in it and was utterly terrible and dry. The chips I mean nachos tasted horrible I mean they literally tasted as if they where taken from a packet oh wait we are opposite a Tesco probably where they bought the nachos. As well as this the helper aka waitresses was very rude and inconsiderate and very mean, hurt my feelings, also put too much ice in water and also might if spat in my drink. After I concluded my terrible meal I was squirted repeatedly by a cleaning chemical witch I now know I am allergic too. As I was leaving the crazy owner women hit one of the employees in the back of the head. Would not recommend it is the worst place to ether eat food ever.

Had a great brunch at Em's and they were happy to go 'off menu' for the kids. Lovely food , good value and service

We came here for a late breakfast. The coffee is good though it could be slightly richer. The breakfasts were very good. I enjoyed the eggs, bacon, hash browns etc. The service was prompt and friendly.

After spending the morning having coffee at Em's and working, I was about to order lunch. I was then abruptly asked to leave as I had been there for more than two hours as they needed the table even though I wanted to order lunch....

A lovely friendly cafe serving a delicious range of food. We had Eggs Benedict and ciabatta with mozzarella, pesto and sun dried tomatoes served with salad and crisps.

Food is lovely and fresh. Waiters are so lovely helpful. I am going to this cafe every Sunday with my family and never seen any bad thing from here. The vibe is amazing. I recommend people visiting this place
