Worst chinese takeaway I have ever had in my life , My usual place was closed so I decided to look for a new one were I seen this had not had reviews. The fried rice was tasteless , the satay chicken skewer sauce was inedible and didn't taste like satay sauce at all. Had a wierd smell to it. The prawn crackers was stale. The salt and pepper King Prawns was soggy and covered in five spice not your typical salt and pepper seasoning like other takeaways use. The pancake roll was bland and soggy. I will 100% be avoiding this place from now on. Waste of money! My usual takeaways are regent and long hua, maybe give them a try , far far better quality.

Always enjoy the curry sauce from here. Staff are professional, alround good service

Lovely food, all fresh and hot. Only thing we weren’t too keen on was the sweet and sour sauce. It was runnier than we were used to but still edible.

Bought a takeaway there yesterday, 17 June 2022. Have to say that the food was dreadful. It certainly was not fresh, and some appeared to have been prepared days earlier. It was far below expectations of a decent meal. It went in the dustbin. Ugh!!!

Really poor. Don’t use a Chinese that can’t get mixed starters right. No sauce with the ribs (more fat than ribs) no sauce with chicken skewers (really tough) and prawn crackers like rubber. Awful and won’t be using again

What can I say about a take away? Good quality, tasty, well cooked food. Large portions too. Polite service from the owners and staff. Not overpriced either. One of two in Willerby, both equally good, but parking is more available here. My first choice if I don't feel like cooking.

Nice enough to eat but the foil trays are never full to the top, food is sparse compared to the sauce, only thing accompanying the meat is a peas and onions combination which is a disappointment and a one off used in the area as most places include mushroom and peppers (never peas). Chips are on the light side too unfortunately. Such a shame as the curry here could be so much better with a few pence extra spent, the prices are good but I can see why now, a false economy.

Tried This Chinese twice everything is cooked with loads of msg makes your stomach bubbles also there is Zero customer care ,the food wakes you up in the middle of the night definalitly won’t be going back the place does not look clean .

Ordered a standard saturday night take away. Plus points. Delivery was half hour, which is what i was told. The ribs and special chow main was decent. The big disapointment was the 1/4 duck. The sauce was ice cold. The pancakes were rock hard it the middle , making it impossible to separate. So they all tore. Big big disapointment, given i chose this place based on reviews. The duck itself was dry. If i had to guess, id say this was a left over frim yesterday.

Indifferent Chow main and ribs were ok. Delivery was good. The 1/4 duck was appalling. Pancakes rock hard in the middle, so all tore when trying to separate. The sauce was ice cold and the duck was so dry. Overall, not as impressed as other reviewers were.

I use this chinese weekly, 100% recommend - lovely staff, lovely service excellent food - I’m vegetarian and they cater fully and dont lack on flavour as I’ve experienced with other takeaways! As usual, thanks so much!

Best Chinese take away in Willerby!

I have only ordered a few things from here, I was not disappointed at all! The chicken chow mein (wet) was delicious, packed with meat and veg. They only offer the thicker egg noodles, I prefer the thinner rice noodles. Chips are from frozen, I prefer from fresh. Pancake roll (x1) is packed FULL of bean sprouts, with small amount of meat, no other veg, very bland.

Religiously use this Chinese and have for years! lovely staff and lovely food, highly recommend, I’m vegetarian and there’s many options to choose from and they’re always happy to taylor an order!

We have used this takeaway for many years. Every single time we have ordered, the food has been hot, tasty and fresh. The delivery driver, Jamie, is a polite young boy who is always smiling and chipper. Every meal we have ordered has always impressed us. We would highly recommend this takeaway to anybody in the local area!

But they need segregated vegan options. No meat, no eggs and No dairy

My family and I had a fantastic meal from Empire House this evening. Really nice people. Superb value for money. The size of the portions are remarkable and the menu had everything you could wish for. I would recommend this takeaway to anyone.

My go to Chinese takeaway. I have tried numerous starters and mains but my favourites are the salt and pepper chicken, duck pancakes and crispy chicken with chilli and garlic. The duck has great flavour and is very tender. The food is always cooked to perfection and is always on time. I have never had a problem with their food and I would definitely recommend for both collections or home delivery. Amazing food and great staff!!

Didn't ask for delivery address so had to ring back. Told 50mins. Hour later rang up told 10 mins. 2 hours later went to bed starving. Waste of time wish they hadn't littered my post box with their menus that they don't deliver on

Ordered a couple of meals for delivery. There’s an extensive menu and my review is only based upon the chicken curry and the Hong Kong sweet & sower with boiled rice and chips. There’s no internet site so we had to phone and pay cash on delivery. The order was taken efficiently and arrived within the stated time (30min) and the chap who delivered was friendly and polite. Although perfectly wrapped and steaming hot both dishes were very wet. They had tasty ingredients, the chicken being nice and tender but the very thin sauces weren’t very attractive and we poured off most otherwise it would have been like eating soup! Once the sauce was reduced the quantity of the ingredients was revealed to be quite meagre. Still enough as a sensible portion but the containers could be reduced by half if the dishes were thicker in consistency. Not a great first experience and it’s put us off trying another meal from Empire.

We have collected food from here an£ had it delivered a couple of times. Every time the food has been excellent value with good portion sizes and very good quality food. The delivery service has been very efficient and arrived exactly at the time requested with very little extra charge.

I only have positive words to say about this takeaway, their food and service is amazing! I am a regular customer and they honestly never disappoint; they have generous portion sizes and a wide range of food on offer! Their prices are also extremely good value for money. I decided to post this review after trying their new limited edition ‘munchie boxes’, I hope they decide to continue as it was incredible and only £14.50 (portion was shared between 2, however could easily be shared between 3). Give this place a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Best Chinese in the area. Service is quick and the food is brilliant. The price is cheap compared to other Chinese take aways in the area. They will deliver. The menu is large and there are plenty of specials. We use this Chinese regularly.

Me and my partner recently moved to Willerby and had Chinese for tea on Friday. We ordered crispy chilli beef, noodles, salt and chilli ribs and chicken balls. (I asked if I could have lemon sauce instead of the usual sauce that comes with chicken balls.)

Empire house is a lovely chinese take away in willerby. Staff very helpful on menu choice. Very efficient service. Quality food, reasonably priced. Possibly a little over salted? Chicken chow mein and Peking duck were delicious.

Horrendous, that bad I am writing a review (which I have never done before for any other restaurant, pub or hotel etc) The mixed appetiser was drowned in oil, the quarter of crispy duck was pure fat no meat, they even got the chicken fried rice wrong! I rang them to complain (rather than do this) spoke to the manager who would not accept any criticism at all & was very defensive, asked if I would like a refund, which was not my intention of ringing but replied "yes, I will get it out of the bin"...response "no you should have complained before you ate it"....go figure? ..not sure how that works...?! Star rating less than zero..

One of the worst takeaways I've ever had. The noodles were just starchy slop and the Singapore fried rice was bland. All the food was poor quality, bland, tasteless and a waste of money. Really bad all round.

He estado buscando un buen chino alrededor un rato ahora Hessle y este es en Willerby, tostadas de gambas ordenados (un poco cocidas), pato crujiente, llanura chow mein, curry y arroz especial, especial carne crujiente con salsa por separado. Toda la comida sabía muy bien, pero lo que realmente me hizo feliz fue el Chow mein. La orden fue correcta, £27. No sólo es culpa de los 80 era que, sin embargo, esta mi caliente porque la distancia a entregar.

Optamos por aquí nuestro llevar siempre fue cerrado. El rollo de primavera de verduras era muy agradable, creo que las verduras congeladas no era fresco. Las gambas al curry salsa tenía una buena, pero las gambas eran la mitad de tamaño de lo que estamos acostumbrados y mucho menos. En general está bien, pero sólo si nuestra costumbre no está disponible, no será un visitante habitual.

We have ordered from here on a couple of occasions now, The food is lovely the Beef curry nice tender pieces of beef, food is always hot on arrival and at a reasonable price, Delivery is always before the estimated time and brought with a smile from the driver.

Si lo que buscas es rollos de pancake que saben como solían demasiado atrás en la década de los 70 y 80 años, entonces prueba este lugar, son buenos. Si sólo había un poco más camarones y quizás algún cerdo puesto sui generis dentro que sería perfecto.

Very good takeaway have used it on numerous occasions. Good selection on menu and the food has always arrived hot (including the chips) Pizza's excellent with normal takeaway selection, but the menu is more varied than a lot of other takeaways. Delivery time is quick, must admit it does help when you only live 4 miles away, Pleasant delivery guy is always polite and wishes you a good meal. Would recommend it

Hemos usado este lugar durante muchos años pero comenzó a usar una alternativa hace un par de años después de tener una comida regular desde aquí. Volvimos a utilizar este lugar hace unos meses y en cada ocasión hasta ahora la comida ha sido muy bueno y caliente, no hay nada peor que luke cálida comida china. Generalmente nos pre ordenar y recoger y está siempre listo cuando llegamos.

I'm confused why would they tell me one price on the phone and then ask for a different amount when I turn up to collect?I will admit that the food was worth more then what they asked anyway... But it's just the annoyance - what if I brought the exact amount out?!

Always confirm the price on the telephone when ordering a delivery but when they arrive they always have a higher price. It really annoys me and when this happened the last time, I was fed up of it and they were willing to take the food back over 50p despite me giving him the amount they quoted on the phone. Despite this, the food is excellent so we do order regularly

I Went here the other night and ordered the beef curry with chips and rice and it was really enjoyable.It would of been perfect but the meat wasn't absolutely amazing and maybe i should of sampled the chicken curry instead.Overall it was ok and well worth a visit!I would go again and sample some of the other dishes off the menu.

Excellent food, we usually have a home delivery which usually is within half an hour. Pleasant cheerful staff and food hot on arrival.

Not huge fans of Chinese food in our house mainly because we have had so many bad experiences, but we had friends round and they wanted to eat Chinese so we tried here. It was really nice I got a chow main and hubby got a beef and mushroom curry, it was nice and we actually ate it all. Still not my favourite ( prefer) Indian but if we ever fancy Chinese I will definitely go here again, good quality food and service.

Love the fixed menus from this place, take all the hassle from ordering and give you chance to try food you wouldn’t normally order. Price is reasonable and the food has always arrived piping hot!

Empire House is simply the best Chinese food this side of China and at a great steal for the price. The staff are so accommodating with your orders, friendly and generally have good recommendations if you wanna try a new dish. The delivery is fast and the food arrives pipping hot. Some meals I've tried are; Chicken curry (has a real good kick to it if you know what I mean), Garlic Chicken (perfect for those who want the best of chicken and garlic, could eat it every day), Sweet&Sour Chicken (is a tangy treat) and the tofu is simply divine. It has and is and always will be my Chinese takeaway of choice. Somehow it always has you coming back for more! Trust me, give it a go!

The food is to an excellent standard and the service is just as good, always greeted with a smile and there is such a friendly atmosphere amongst all the staff when I go and collect. My local Chinese takewaway that I have used for years I felt deserved a review. The service is always quick, reliable and friendly. The food is generally of a good standard but sometimes the curry sauce, although tasty, can be rather too thick and gloopy. The prawns are also sometimes a little overcooked and hard. Overall though, a good place if you just want a meal delivered quickly and you know what you want - the menu is extensive but I've been a bit disappointed when I've tried some of the different meals under the heading of "chefs specials". The chips and gravy are always very nice!
