Can’t fault this place! Great location, friendly staff, and amazing food at a reasonable price! By far the best all round cafe in Bristol and I’ve been to most of them! Keep you the great work!

First time here. Happened to be passing and stopped for a snack. Fruit juice drink was delicious . I chose the orange/ yellow one. Don’t often choose vegan options but the sandwich was really good and huge. Would go back again .

I met a friend for lunch at Spike Cafe and we were both astonished by the wonderful salad bowl filled with every possible fresh combination of every grated and chopped food imaginable. The homemade hummus was divine and the toasted sourdough gave the perfect crunch to set everything off! Amazing value at £6 and the coffee and cake afterwards were perfection too! Well done Emeline & thank you - I’m telling everyone! 😀

I came here last week with a friend of mine and we enjoyed a lovely cup of tea and cake! She had the toffee apple cake and I had the amazing vegetable one - both of which were lovely! The lady behind the counter was lovely and the music and plants give the place a nice vibe :)

What a lovely cafe! Great welcome, friendly atmosphere, good music, loads of plants and simply delicious food. I had a mix of salads with sourdough toast, lovely dressings and topped with jalapenos and seeds. A difficult choice as the sandwiches looked wonderful, and even better toasted and the cakes were very tempting. Great coffee and the juice and smoothie combinations sounded amazing. Vegans, gluten free and dairy free are all well catered for. A lot of regular customers came in and it's obviously very popular for people in Stokes Croft some of whom stayed in to eat as I did. I liked Emmeline's ethical approach, you could ask for a glass bottle to take water away, the cutlery is biodegradable and the food was served in brown paper and cardboard boxes rather than plastic. A must for my next visit to Bristol.

I visited Emmeline with my daughter, we had a veggie sausage roll, tea, and a cinnamon bun. Speaking to the staff (who were great, funny, and helpful) we were told that produce is locally sourced and that as a small business they support other small holdings and businesses, this is something I feel is vital in the current climate of corporate industry. The food was incredible, it is easy to get carried away when you see all the amazing food, I also loved that there are plants for sale! Such an amazing little hub of creativity it makes the journey from the Midlands worthwhile - great name too!!

I love this little gem. Delicious food with a conscience. Hustle and bustle, quick and friendly service despite the queues and a chance to become a celeb in your own lunchtime by getting pap'd on the bench! Feed your belly and nourish your soul in this little corner or urban heaven.

This little cafe is one of my favorite places to take some time out in. It is a little bit of jungle calm in the Stokes Croft bustle. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about their healthy and ultra delicious grub and drinks. The beetroot juice blend sorts out and a cold quick sharp, (and does wonders for a hangover !) and I swear their hot chocolate has super powers. I just can't resist the sweet stuff too, the cinnamon bun is a scrummy wonder and my eyes boggled at the size of the giant jammy dodger ! I have as yet to walk out without a plant and my home is starting to look like a mini Emmeline...if only my own food tasted as good !

Popped in for brunch with a friend, had a delicious grilled sandwich and my mate had a veggie sausage roll (Feastie Boys and fabulous). Delicious coffee in the cutest cups! The cake selection looked epic but I managed to restrain myself and got some marshmallow Tunnack's for later!!! My mate was still peckish after her sausage roll, the lady behind the counter overheard and offered her some sourdough toast with peanut butter on the house. Lovely selection of plants made us feel right at home sat on the bench. Some cool gift items on sale too. A treasure of a treat.

This place is awesome. Well worth the stroll. Lush surroundings with plants and books to gander at. You can tell a lot of thought goes into the menu and everything is made with care and an understanding of flavours that compliment each other. It's refreshing to see such a healthy assortment too. It was a long deliberation but we had the homemade soup and toasted sourdough. So good! Next time definitely having a salad as they've got an array of dressings to help yourself to and they didn't forget the Salad Cream! Using locally sourced ingredients and supporting other independent enterprises, it was a pleasure to pop by and enjoy lunch in place that champions local talent. Unpretentious, friendly and helpful staff. They also sell the aprons they wear handmade by another local company. Highly recommend - get yourself down there. #shoplocally #saveourhighstreets #shopindependent
