Called for a snack at lunchtime found there was a funeral wake taking place but was still very good service and the food was excellent 4

Went here for bike night for the first time. Travelled down from barnsley. We arrived late and a lot of the food had sold out (we did wanna mug folk for their pie and peas cos it smelt amazing). The lady in the kitchen kindly offered us another pie that had been left over from pie night which was equally as lovely. Staff were friendly and it was very busy with bikes. Prices were great. Drinks were really cheap. We will definitely be back.

Hidden inside this pub is a superb South Indian restaurant. Food is amazing and very knowledgeable staff who can advise on the dishes . Before your main comes out you get a smaller taster of the sauce so you can adjust the heat to your liking . It gets very busy and with only a few tables I would advise to book , you won't be disappointed 👍👍👍

I absolutely love this place, it's probably the best Sunday lunch I've ever had, so much so we keep returning week after week and it never fails, food hot and tasty, generous portions and the service is so friendly, it's also really good value for the quality of food.

Never had Kerala food before and I don't like very strong spice but the food here was very nice. We were given advice on the food and help in choosing which food to have. We will definitely go there again when in the area.

Everything I had looked great and tasted decent. Selection was a little limited for me. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Unfortunately the customer seated next to us ruined our experience with a range of poor behaviour. I ignored it in order to not ruin the experience for everyone else.

The Indian food is amazing at this place. Don't go expecting what I call English Indian. This is authentic Indian food and is made to order. It is the best Indian food I've tasted.

Only been to the bike night on a Tuesday. They serve chips, pie and peas from a serving hatch outside. But brilliant food and service plus bikes, what's not to like.

The Indian food is absolutely to die for. I've had Prawn curry and it was heaven on the plate 🤤🤤

Well another great visit to this fabulous restaurant. The staff are very welcoming & helpful with questions about the Kerolan menu. I was even brought a sample of the sauce for my beef shappu curry as I said I like spicy food - was there sufficient heat or would I like more! How very kind. It was 100% deliciously perfect with the Porottas & Chapattis. I'm new to Prottas - wow!! light fluffy texture with crispy aspects. I'd recommend you try these. My partner also delighted about his Lamb Biryani - I had a couple of spoons of this & visa versa of my curry hmm The pot of homemade lime & fig pickle is an explosion of delicious flavours - wow. I could have that, raita & porottas for breakfast even. It would start the day with a fantastic bang. All in all I can't say enough great things about the Alleppey restaurant Thankyou

Really good ambience and authentic tasty Kerala food. Customer service is appreciable .Highly recommended. A must visit place if you would love to taste authentic Kerala food.

A very nice traditional pub in a lovely place. Went with 2 friends for Sunday lunch. No menu, choice of 4 roast meats, food was delicious, good portion, came with carrots, peas, cauliflower, Yorkshire puds, roast spuds and mash with plenty gravy. Choice of Apple and blackberry crumble, or a white chocolate, Raspberry cheese cake. Large portions, both were so good. Dog friendly, and people friendly. Lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend it to anyone

Quieter than usual, was a tad overcast but not wet for bike night. Only downside was that they were not doing the usual food, and as a diabetic I was kinda relying on it being on.

Go here every Tuesday night for bike night and it's always great 80+ bikes ranging from old school to brand new HS2. Great home made food each time too.

The wobbly wanderers were here as guests of two friends who live locally. The Pub has a great oldie worldie style and is great if you want to enjoy peace & quiet . The pub has a good selection of beers & lagers. This wobbly opted for a glass or 2 of Old Speckled Hen. Heaven!. The pub is a little out of the way but well worth the effort of finding it!.

A nice village pub with very good food. They host a motorbike meet on a Tuesday night which does get very busy. You can see just about every bike you can think of there.

Went here tonight for a motorbike gathering it was a good turnout and a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Very pleasant people running the pub and a lovely village ,we'll definitely go again.

Such a lovely village pub. The food is wonderful. We stumbled across the elm tree by chance and have gone back many times and will continue to do so.

The Wobbly wanderers were here with two friends from the Bolsover branch of AAA (Ameteaur Alcohol Absorbers). The pub is situated in Scarcliffe not far from Palterton & Bolsover. It is a very quiet pub but worthy of a visit if you want a quiet night out. The pub has a good range of beers (especially Speckled Hen). This pub will be revisited soon and hopefully a more comprehensive review will follow.

They were holding the annual soap box racing. Had a well run outside bar . Great band on a outside stage after the race. Friendly staff and good atmosphere.
