Perfect place!! Loved the food and the people were so friendly and nice! Fine selection of wine, I can really recommend this place!

Had a really lovely birthday dinner here with my partner. Some of the best service I've received in London. Waitress remembered our choice of water, brought a drinks menu whenever we looked at her as if she could read our minds. To top it off the foods really good too! Low-key, anchovy toast was the highlight. Highly recommended & can't wait to go back

The food was like "tapas" style. Not bad ;) The fries, reeeeeally nice. Overall quality was good. Bread and Cheesecake were excellent ❤️ Nice atmosphere

One of my favourite restaurants in London! The cocktails, wine, service, and food are all top class. The menu is incredibly versatile and always offers an amazing dining experience - it's the perfect spot to visit with a few friends and share a couple of dishes. I must give a special shout out to the steak—it's absolutely incredible!

Great pizza, excellent desserts and lovely staff! 11/10 I’m mostly reviewing this so I remember to come back. Get the pistachio ice cream and cheesecake, such a good combo 🤌

One of my favourite spots in London! All of the dishes are sublime. Elliot’s strikes the perfect balance between fine dining and just delicious food that everyone wants to eat, like mini pizzas, roasted potatoes (chips) and cheese puffs 🤤. Been twice now and it never disappoints, the waiters are also super friendly and attentive.

Chef’s Kiss. The food was exceptional. I enjoyed every dish. My stand out favourite was the beef carpaccio. The service was also fantastic. Elliot’s might just be my new favourite restaurant. Overall this was a truly magical experience.

Excellent variety of share dishes reflecting the use of quality ingredients limited only by the imagination of the chef.

Second time visiting Elliott’s. Perfect weekend stopover after roaming around Broadway and Netil market. Wood fired pizza is to die for. All the staff was super nice. Already thinking about my next visit

Great food, customer service rather disappointing. I was left feeling embarrassed for a very simple request - staff spoke as if they were superior and as if I was asking for something stupid. I’d rather pick a restaurant where I won’t be laughed at. Despite the good food, I will not be returning or recommending this place to anyone.

Delicious. Steak and Trout were lovely. Foccacia also lovely. Chocolate mousse as dessert was a lovely surprise that we both enjoyed a lot. Carpaccio of tomato probably too expensive for what it was. Service was friendly and approachable. Like another review said, its classy but not stuffy at this restaurant.

Both the steak & pizza were amazing. Best steak I’ve had in a long time. Service was also great.

Scammers / bad management. The food here is nice, but definitely not cheap and our visit left a bitter taste in our mouths. Came for my friends birthday and all spent about £115 each. But the management/ service really need to get thier act together! They didn't take the booking deposit off the bill and 2 weeks later and they've not returned the £300 deposit! Now they are claiming we didn't pay the whole bill although they can't figure out by how much and we think we might actually have over paid as the server had become very confused. In my opinion it was their job to check the bill was paid before we left and returned the deposit immediately. The Birthday boy has now had the awkward job of getting everyone to go through our bank records and we are being asked to prove we've paid! Useless and rude customer service, we won't be going back after this ordeal 🙄

Not as pretentious as I expected from Hackney, was actually really good food and service. Really varied menu, would recommend.

I had a great time. Great food, good vibe. Billy on front of house is a wondeful dude and one of world's axe throwers (unrelated) Only improvement is that the small plates , whilist delcious, are a touch overpriced however their wood fired mains are a delight and the wine menu is excellent . Alex the waiter is an an absolute dude

Elliot’s had been on my ‘to visit’ list for a while. Never found quite the right moment before tonight and really not sure why. From the experience this evening I am gutted I have not been before, this definitely will be a firm favourite from here on it and I will be back. Great food (vast range of pizza toppings was a find surprise) great staff, lovely atmosphere, awesome decor, relaxed vibe yet still something special. Not fussy or fancy but classy. The waiters were all friendly with great people skills - honestly not always a given these days. Thanks for a lovely lovely evening.

Never disappoints! I always find the set menu to be a lot of food so go for it if you’re hungry otherwise a la carte is the way to go. Highlights were the beef tartare and the bread this time.

Firstly our drinks, mine in the photo (raspberry sour) was 90% foam! To charge £12 and deliver this is pretty poor, if this was a pint of beer you’d refuse to pay! Another table got the same drink and it also looked like this, so it wasn’t a one off error! We ordered the tomato carpaccio which to be honest was 6/7 super thin slices of tomato with a few croutons on the top for £16!! The same can be said for the pizza which was probably an 6-7 inch pizza for £18! The flavours of the food were really lovely, I’m not trying to take away from that, and the place was busy so it’s clearly popular! However it was incredibly expensive for the portion sizes, and I know people will say oh it’s the quality, which I don’t mind paying for however I think these prices even surpassed that excuse!

I recently dined at your restaurant and had a fantastic experience. Here's a breakdown of my visit: Overall Rating: 5/5 Pizza Carbonara: - Comments: The pizza carbonara was exceptional—truly something out of this world. It was flavorful and perfectly cooked. Steak: - Comments: The steak was also superb. It was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. Tiramisu: - Comments: The tiramisu was just okay, but considering the overall experience, it didn’t detract much from my enjoyment. In conclusion, this is the best Italian restaurant in the neighborhood. Highly recommended!

Very good food, brilliant wine list. Although, atmosphere in the back room was a bit lackluster, too cramped with other guests leaning back over our table. Would definitely recommend trying to sit in the front room or even outside.

Definitely my favourite spot in east London, I'm surprised my name is not engraved in the bar counter. Cheese puffs, anchovy on toast and flat bread with trout roe and sour cream is a must, let's not forget the rhubarb mezcal margaritas (slaps)!! The cheesecake... I mean never disappoints🔥

Really nice spot for a dinner especially from 8.30pm. Our starter dishes were really tasty especially the anchovy pizza. I ordered the wood grill monk fish which was perfectly done but the crust was unbearably salty and I decided to push through instead of sending it back but it really ruined the dish for me. Partner got the lamb main which was also oversalted but not as much as the monk fish.

The service was good. Very delicious starter or small plates… however, when the main dishes came out, everything went down hill… we waited 40 mins for the main… and nobody checked on us? Maybe it’s normally for fire grilled? But the taste was really not good… the beef was way too salty and the fish didn’t take on any flavour from the sauce… so after having a really nice starter then got the horrible main courses was just a roller coaster ride

Good food, bad service: Food was overall good, with some dishes that were great like the bavette for example. However the service was unfortunately bad. We had late lunch on Easter sunday, it was 2 of us and asked to be seated in the more confortable table that had a bench, however they wouldn't give it to us as the table was for 4 people. When we flagged that it was already 4pm and the restaurant was pretty empty, the manager replied: "it's going to fill up pretty quickly". Needless to say no one else came into the restaurant between 4:00 and 5.30pm which is when we left.. disappointing attitude as they could have easily done us the favour of giving us the bigger table.. also no one said "bye" when we left, as all servers were busy chatting between them at the bar (that's more of a minor thing but adds to the overall 3 star review for service).

The ingredients are fresh and high quality but the dishes they’ve created with them are lacking in flavour. For these prices everything should be a lot tastier!

I got charged £14 for tiny espresso martini, with the beer and service charge it came up to £24, which is a joke. Liked this place, but will probably stop now.

Some of the food is great, and there are lots of things to like about it (quieter back dining room, service from waiters) but for example, the wait to be seated at entrance and the pricing of dishes being all over the place was disappointing. Ultimately, for the total bill amount we could have had eaten somewhere SO much better, even within 5 minutes of here.

Consistently just so good! Imaginative, varied food always. Lots of super tasty options for vegetarians. Superb cocktails and great wine choices. Exquisite space. Excellent vibes.

Really nice atmosphere and good service. The food was good but our party agreed not worth it for the price (I.e £15 - £18 for a small plate) - have had bigger portion sizes and on par dishes for cheaper in London. Perhaps worth it if you want to do a boujee pizza night.

2nd time at Elliots but probably the last. Good, attentive service. However for the price and the portion sizes (small) you expect top quality, yet most dishes - especially with fish - were quite bland / not properly seasoned. The cotechino was a highlight, though (but again, very pricy).

Oyster mushrooms with egg - one of the most delicious dishes I've ever tasted. Respect.

Great place, pretty black and white. You get what you're given and nothing overly fancy. Visited with my brother. Can recommend the aroncino, the sirloin steak and the mushroom pizza, all great. The only dish that was meh was the scallop and langoustine ravioli, lacked some umph. Overall great experience though.

I'm a steak lover and my wife is vegetarian. Food was awesome for both of us. Deffo coming again.

Everything seasonal, everything wood fired. Choose your fish or meat by weight, and they’ll expertly cook it for you. I loved the straightforward vintage decor and the ambiance.

Nice location, great staff and tasty food with a great combination of flavours and fantastic presentation. The price point of the dishes however is quite high and although the prices are likely in line with the hackney area, it was a little bit on the bougie and fancy pants side.

Amaizing food and even better wines and drinks, the staff is super warming and Alex is a superstar.

Lovely local restaurant without tourists ;) The cook put love and effort in his dishes. Had the Radicchio, Ribeye & chocolate mouse which were all perfection in taste & style.

Not a brilliant experience. The food was OK but the portions were tiny for the prices paid. The waiter could not provide my daughter with a simple dash of blackcurrant for her vodka because it wasn't natural.... Blackcurrants were natural last time I looked! The service was also hit and miss for a lunchtime with hardly anyone in the place too. Won't be back to this one.

We were just blown away. A party of 15 isn’t easy to handle but they nailed it. Here is a copy of the email I sent to the manager: “On behalf of everyone just want to say a HUGE thank you for last night. Honestly we’ve never had such amazing AND WARM food (the potato bread was just wow), great wine and cocktails and impeccable service for 15 people all at once. Your staff were quick, attentive and had a great attitude. Was also super nice to be sitting in the restaurant and not in a separate room. Such a good vibe.“

Quite possibly one of the best meals I’ve had this year. The servers were lovely & helpful, and food was fantastic. We shared a mix of plates across the snacks, smalls, pizza, and finished up with steak.

Every dish was a delight - could have just feasted on the anchovies toast all night and would have been happy! The room loud and boisterous heaving with excited energy.

Some of the food was nice, good wine albeit overpriced but the worst thing is they serve an intentionally undercooked calzone which is fairly dangerous and quite unpleasant.

Great produce executed perfectly. Potato flatbread, Tuscan sausage and pizzas were highlights.

I had heard so many nice things about this restaurant and was very happy to try it… I was not satisfied at all. Service was incredibly slow, it took 3 hours to receive the entire course. We asked for wine and when they brought it we had finished already all the dinner. Food was okay, mushrooms were good. The rest was just another hipster centre European meal. Stracciatella had no flavour and the pizza was full of cheese (and check the size!!!) Bavette was hard as hell and definitely didn’t need any blue cheese on top. The spaghetti alla chitarra were okay but definitely not worth the price, nothing was worth the price of being sitting on high stools with the jackets on the floor (no hangers) and grumpy waiters. Not gonna go back.

The food was absolutely delicious, everything we had from the bread, pizzas, sides & dessert were amazing! The service was top notch by a lovely Italian guy who was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Only small minus point would be that the pizzas are advertised as 10", but are far closer to 8", sometimes size does matter! Would recommend this place to anyone wanting a beautiful food experience 🤩

Slow service but very very delicious!

First visit today - pretty good food can’t really fault it other than the rigatoni being incredibly salty. I feel this new trend of “sharing plates” has become a way to just overcharge customers. Sharing plates used to be a good size so everyone can, well, “share.”These are small tapas plates charged as if they are full portions so you’re being ripped off for what is a couple of mouthfuls at best. This kind of menu always invites the waiter to upswell and claim it’s not enough too. Incredibly expensive for what it is, but the flavours overall were very good. I’d probably only go for a snack and glass of wine, not a meal. You’d have to spend a fortune to fill up.

Eliots in Hackney is an absolutely incredible restaurant ! I booked a table for 10 for my birthday dinner and we had the set menu and every single bite was delicious and enjoyed by everyone ! Service, atmosphere, wine and cocktails were all amazing and there wasn’t 1 complaint from anyone in the group! Thank you so much for such a memorable night and for being so accommodating ! Can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu, the T-bone steak and the pizzas are a must! Perfect for casual or special occasion, very excited to be back

Incredible food. Attentive staff. Lively atmosphere. My partner and I went here for the first time on a lively Saturday night. The menu was amazing, so many wonderful sounding options we wanted to order the lot. We asked the waitress for her recommendations and they did not disappoint. Isle of Mull cheese puffs are a must. We also had a delicious tomato salad. Unfortunately didn't have room for desert but they looked fantastic. Great wine selection too!

I am giving 3 star (although it deserved 5 for the soft crab pizza). It was spicy, yet sweet and delicate. Such an unexpected triumph of flavours. For the rest, it's OK but I would no travel from central London to go there as it's not worth the hype. The other pizzas or I'd say "pizzette" as they are very small, were good but not as good or interesting as the crab one. It's a nice hang out if you are in Hackney/Mare street but it felt a bit too pretentious in the offering. It offers some very peculiar Italian regional delicacies (ciccioli) and I'd say a pan European menu that felt a bit too shoehorned. Our server was really really nice. However, some other staff I spoke on the phone was really rude as they didn't read previous email correspondence. Go if you are in the area, but don't bother to travel there on purpose.

Really great neighbourhood restaurant, yes it’s “small plates” but one of the few places that I think this actually works. Anything from the wood grill is divine (even if it’s just the charred cabbage? side that used to be on)!

I been here twice. First time it wasn’t too bad but the pizza its definitely undercooked. Tonight’s experience its been follow by a long waiting for the food when the place was almost empty and the rest of the tables already finished their meals. Steak waiting time 25-30minutes when it’s middle raw and it supposed to be 4-5 minutes cooked. The most ridiculous moment was when they bring the most sad and poor salad that cost £14 and it’s literally four leaves of green, 3 pieces of cucumber and 4 of half radish… service slightly rude and passive aggressive.

Not only is the food EXCEPTIONAL but the service is amazing. I felt so welcomed as soon as I walked through the door. I would highly recommend this place. The outside area is beyond marvellous as you can take in the atmosphere and enjoy the incredible aura. We will defo be back.

I’ve been to Elliot’s a few times but this was by far the best meal I’ve had here. The trout was a highlight - it was paired with a gorgeous sweet tomato broth and was cooked to perfection. We also loved the garlic butter Calzone - a must order! Other dishes were great too such as the courgette with green beans. Great service too!

Took the boyfriend for his birthday dinner to Elliot’s as a fun surprise as it was his name as well. Very glad that the dishes were very delicious and the cheese puffs were to die for! Only downside is I wish there were discounts for people who are called Elliot 🤣 Nevertheless I would definitely come back to try the wood grill stuff!

Love the tallageio and brown butter pizza. It's something you have to order whenever you come to this restaurant it is the be all and end all. It is a signature dish. It is a MUST!

Food was very good, friendly service but not particularly efficient with items forgotten or wrong delivered to the table on several occasions. Cake fee charged as we brought our own cake (fair enough) but no plates or a knife provided. At near on £100 per person including service charge you would expect slightly better. Would definitely recommend though

Elliot's was very nice. The ambiance was nice and the food and drink was very good. We were disappointed that quite a few things were unavailable from the menu I.e. steak. Overall a good experience and family celebration. I would recommend a visit.

Everything about this restaurant is great

There are venues with character and there are characters with a venue… ANTHONY from Cork, you are a gent. You amplify everything and thank you for being you. Top place, cannot recommend it enough.

Great menu, with really thoughtful dishes, shouldn't be an issue for most people to find great stuff here. Tip, if booking ask for tables in the front of the restaurant rather than back area.

Can't get enough of their pizza dough and egg mushrooms. Seriously one of the most consistenly good Italian inspired joints.

Loveeeee!! Amazing food and service always.

Walked in for late lunch - got a table near the front door during the beginning of dinner rush. Waiters stopped only a few times throughout the dinner, and it was unclear who our waiter was in first place. We got the steak and it was steak in a puddle of “peppercorn” sauce that tasted like cheap steak sauce from a bottle. Are you familiar with Sloppy Steaks from the Netflix show I Think You Should Leave? I thought I had stepped through my television set when this was served to us. Is it Elliot’s fault that I hated the steak? No. Their tomato salad was amazing, so was their Negroni. But when asking the waiter why the steak was so off, they said the menu clearly said with peppercorn sauce. They removed it from the bill but it was very awkward. Again, partially my fault for hating the steak and expecting a more traditional serving. I tipped to cover half the cost of the steak but whole experience was off, service was confusing, and it was the worst meal I had in my two weeks in London.
