I booked a restaurant for my friend's birthday, how could every dish be so bad. The potato bread I was looking forward to was extremely bad, and the two pieces of bread had more oil than I had eaten in the whole month. + Pizza, the bottom of the three pieces of bread was burnt. The mushrooms were the best, and the seasoning was very good. The dishes that I couldn't eat were all saved by the seasoning.

Everything we ordered, even the bread and chips, were necessary & memorable, and the staff was nice as well! Would recommend & return 100%

Went here on a date with my partner. Best roast we’ve had in London and we like to eat out on Sundays. We have the rib eye roast and the anchovy toast. Kavi was out waiter and he was incredible. Best service ever. Thanks Kavi ☀️☀️

Delicious food with a nice atmosphere. Perfect for a date. Highlight was the Oyster mushrooms and celeriac with egg yolk! Pretty good value for money.

One of my go to places for a special event or want to show off what Hackney has to offer. They haven’t put a foot wrong yet. Always leave satisfied and very Happy!

That was a 10/10 experience. The food was unreal, great atmosphere good vibesy music in the background, the drinks were great (unreal spicy margarita) and such good service! We got several small plates, snacks, a couple of plates from the grill and some sides between a group of 4 and the cheesecake at the end was the best cheesecake I've ever had! Would happily come back here it was lovely, all the dishes we had were so tasty.

Nice spot for dinner - had some small plates and a couple of pizzas. The small plates were delicious - cheese puffs, stracciatella and mushrooms were all very good. I had the Beef ragu, pancetta & parmesan pizza - it was nice, but a lot of cheese, just a little too much for me!

Came for an early dinner with a couple friends. Food was absolutely delicious but a bit on the pricey side especially given how small the portions were. But very tasty and truly enjoyed everything we ate. Highly recommend: straccitella, beetroot, cheese puffs, bavette steak and trout. Pizza was yummy too.

One of my favorite restaurants in Hackney! It’s nice but not too fancy or pretentious. The servers are always lovely. Cheese balls are to die for and cocktails are excellent.

We had a celebratory dinner in the green room with 20 friends and it was the most amazing experience! The team are so friendly and welcoming and really looked after us from booking through to the night. Everything was exceptional and everyone had the best time. Special shout out to Paige who was just incredible! It’s always a good time at Elliot’s and it was amplified as a big group which isn’t always easy - the room, the menu, the food, cocktails and wine were all just gorgeous. Thanks again for such an amazing night!

Food: Potato flatbread was not amusing and left a weird after taste. Pork chop was mostly fat and the sauce reduction didn’t really make an impact. Bavette & Chips were great! So were the cheese puffs. Wine: Not sure why they serve bottles of wine on Elliot’s branded bottles and customers can’t even see it? Hard to tell if you’re getting what you actually ordered or if you’re getting a wine they need to get rid of before it goes bad… Service: We didn’t get food on time, and there was no apologies or clarifications about why it was late. And then we got overcharged on the bill, for something we never ordered in the first place (and never received btw). FOH staff didn’t even bother to apologise - I understand they had a private hire that night, but it doesn’t mean you get to slack with the other customers. At least 8 FOH staff on the floor (that I could count) and we literally had to wave people down every-time we wanted to be served (and we were sitting at the bar). Atmosphere: Bar seats itself are great and comfy but to make up for covers everyone is quite squished on the counter which means no one is really comfortable. Overall: Food is great overall but service and atmosphere make it unworthy of a second intentional visit.

Good wine, great food. Beetroot salad, pizza, and you have to try the cheese puffs 🤣 We didn’t make a reservation so we’re sat at a tall table with stools near the door and under the speaker, but totally our fault, the rest of the seating looks lovely

Took an hour from when we got to our table to get our food. Had to ask. No idea what the issue was. Ordered 2 pizzas and the lamb. No starters. Can’t be that difficult surely. No apologies for the food taking so long. Then rushed out as our ‘time slot’ was up. Nice food and the waitress was pleasant enough but hate being rushed off the table, especially when the restaurant itself takes so long to serve the food. Not nice enough to return, plenty of other restaurants around.

Nice front of house staff and accommodated a last min reservation however the food was sub par.

Booked for 8:30. Was waiting for 30min to sat down. Took another 15 min to take our order while we have been given the menu. Acting in a way this is so normal and cool. But sorry this is not. Food is so nice. Had two small dishes. One 400grams steak, side potato, dessert and a bottle of wine. £133 total including service charge. Fair price for London. Also food came really on time.

Great food and service and had a lovely time here. Watch out for their strict cancellation policy though, you can book a table for 10, buy 8 bottles of wine and spend £1000 to still have that £25 charge added for the 1 person who couldn’t show up on the day. Yikes.

We ate vegetarian, the food was amazing! The service is kind and fun, although the dishes arrived a little too slowly and in addition the starters did not arrive together. I recommend the oyster mushroom dish, all the pizzas and the cheese cake!

Had a really lovely birthday dinner here with my partner. Some of the best service I've received in London. Waitress remembered our choice of water, brought a drinks menu whenever we looked at her as if she could read our minds. To top it off the foods really good too! Low-key, anchovy toast was the highlight. Highly recommended & can't wait to go back

One of my favourite restaurants in London! The cocktails, wine, service, and food are all top class. The menu is incredibly versatile and always offers an amazing dining experience - it's the perfect spot to visit with a few friends and share a couple of dishes. I must give a special shout out to the steak—it's absolutely incredible!

One of my favourite spots in London! All of the dishes are sublime. Elliot’s strikes the perfect balance between fine dining and just delicious food that everyone wants to eat, like mini pizzas, roasted potatoes (chips) and cheese puffs 🤤. Been twice now and it never disappoints, the waiters are also super friendly and attentive.

Chef’s Kiss. The food was exceptional. I enjoyed every dish. My stand out favourite was the beef carpaccio. The service was also fantastic. Elliot’s might just be my new favourite restaurant. Overall this was a truly magical experience.

Second time visiting Elliott’s. Perfect weekend stopover after roaming around Broadway and Netil market. Wood fired pizza is to die for. All the staff was super nice. Already thinking about my next visit

Great food, customer service rather disappointing. I was left feeling embarrassed for a very simple request - staff spoke as if they were superior and as if I was asking for something stupid. I’d rather pick a restaurant where I won’t be laughed at. Despite the good food, I will not be returning or recommending this place to anyone.

Delicious. Steak and Trout were lovely. Foccacia also lovely. Chocolate mousse as dessert was a lovely surprise that we both enjoyed a lot. Carpaccio of tomato probably too expensive for what it was. Service was friendly and approachable. Like another review said, its classy but not stuffy at this restaurant.

Both the steak & pizza were amazing. Best steak I’ve had in a long time. Service was also great.

Scammers / bad management. The food here is nice, but definitely not cheap and our visit left a bitter taste in our mouths. Came for my friends birthday and all spent about £115 each. But the management/ service really need to get thier act together! They didn't take the booking deposit off the bill and 2 weeks later and they've not returned the £300 deposit! Now they are claiming we didn't pay the whole bill although they can't figure out by how much and we think we might actually have over paid as the server had become very confused. In my opinion it was their job to check the bill was paid before we left and returned the deposit immediately. The Birthday boy has now had the awkward job of getting everyone to go through our bank records and we are being asked to prove we've paid! Useless and rude customer service, we won't be going back after this ordeal 🙄

I had a great time. Great food, good vibe. Billy on front of house is a wondeful dude and one of world's axe throwers (unrelated) Only improvement is that the small plates , whilist delcious, are a touch overpriced however their wood fired mains are a delight and the wine menu is excellent . Alex the waiter is an an absolute dude

Elliot’s had been on my ‘to visit’ list for a while. Never found quite the right moment before tonight and really not sure why. From the experience this evening I am gutted I have not been before, this definitely will be a firm favourite from here on it and I will be back. Great food (vast range of pizza toppings was a find surprise) great staff, lovely atmosphere, awesome decor, relaxed vibe yet still something special. Not fussy or fancy but classy. The waiters were all friendly with great people skills - honestly not always a given these days. Thanks for a lovely lovely evening.

Welcomung and inviting environment. Food was good looking and tasted ok but not memorable, quality was not aligned with the bill

Never disappoints! I always find the set menu to be a lot of food so go for it if you’re hungry otherwise a la carte is the way to go. Highlights were the beef tartare and the bread this time.

Firstly our drinks, mine in the photo (raspberry sour) was 90% foam! To charge £12 and deliver this is pretty poor, if this was a pint of beer you’d refuse to pay! Another table got the same drink and it also looked like this, so it wasn’t a one off error! We ordered the tomato carpaccio which to be honest was 6/7 super thin slices of tomato with a few croutons on the top for £16!! The same can be said for the pizza which was probably an 6-7 inch pizza for £18! The flavours of the food were really lovely, I’m not trying to take away from that, and the place was busy so it’s clearly popular! However it was incredibly expensive for the portion sizes, and I know people will say oh it’s the quality, which I don’t mind paying for however I think these prices even surpassed that excuse!

I recently dined at your restaurant and had a fantastic experience. Here's a breakdown of my visit: Overall Rating: 5/5 Pizza Carbonara: - Comments: The pizza carbonara was exceptional—truly something out of this world. It was flavorful and perfectly cooked. Steak: - Comments: The steak was also superb. It was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. Tiramisu: - Comments: The tiramisu was just okay, but considering the overall experience, it didn’t detract much from my enjoyment. In conclusion, this is the best Italian restaurant in the neighborhood. Highly recommended!

Very good food, brilliant wine list. Although, atmosphere in the back room was a bit lackluster, too cramped with other guests leaning back over our table. Would definitely recommend trying to sit in the front room or even outside.

Definitely my favourite spot in east London, I'm surprised my name is not engraved in the bar counter. Cheese puffs, anchovy on toast and flat bread with trout roe and sour cream is a must, let's not forget the rhubarb mezcal margaritas (slaps)!! The cheesecake... I mean never disappoints🔥

I was walking by late afternoon and dropped in for a glass of wine. Very welcoming place. Friendly and attentive service, and great choice of organic wines. Food looked good, too. Looking forward to going back.

Really nice spot for a dinner especially from 8.30pm. Our starter dishes were really tasty especially the anchovy pizza. I ordered the wood grill monk fish which was perfectly done but the crust was unbearably salty and I decided to push through instead of sending it back but it really ruined the dish for me. Partner got the lamb main which was also oversalted but not as much as the monk fish.

The service was good. Very delicious starter or small plates… however, when the main dishes came out, everything went down hill… we waited 40 mins for the main… and nobody checked on us? Maybe it’s normally for fire grilled? But the taste was really not good… the beef was way too salty and the fish didn’t take on any flavour from the sauce… so after having a really nice starter then got the horrible main courses was just a roller coaster ride

Good food, bad service: Food was overall good, with some dishes that were great like the bavette for example. However the service was unfortunately bad. We had late lunch on Easter sunday, it was 2 of us and asked to be seated in the more confortable table that had a bench, however they wouldn't give it to us as the table was for 4 people. When we flagged that it was already 4pm and the restaurant was pretty empty, the manager replied: "it's going to fill up pretty quickly". Needless to say no one else came into the restaurant between 4:00 and 5.30pm which is when we left.. disappointing attitude as they could have easily done us the favour of giving us the bigger table.. also no one said "bye" when we left, as all servers were busy chatting between them at the bar (that's more of a minor thing but adds to the overall 3 star review for service).

The ingredients are fresh and high quality but the dishes they’ve created with them are lacking in flavour. For these prices everything should be a lot tastier!

I got charged £14 for tiny espresso martini, with the beer and service charge it came up to £24, which is a joke. Liked this place, but will probably stop now.

Some of the food is great, and there are lots of things to like about it (quieter back dining room, service from waiters) but for example, the wait to be seated at entrance and the pricing of dishes being all over the place was disappointing. Ultimately, for the total bill amount we could have had eaten somewhere SO much better, even within 5 minutes of here.

Consistently just so good! Imaginative, varied food always. Lots of super tasty options for vegetarians. Superb cocktails and great wine choices. Exquisite space. Excellent vibes.

Really nice atmosphere and good service. The food was good but our party agreed not worth it for the price (I.e £15 - £18 for a small plate) - have had bigger portion sizes and on par dishes for cheaper in London. Perhaps worth it if you want to do a boujee pizza night.

2nd time at Elliots but probably the last. Good, attentive service. However for the price and the portion sizes (small) you expect top quality, yet most dishes - especially with fish - were quite bland / not properly seasoned. The cotechino was a highlight, though (but again, very pricy).

Great place, pretty black and white. You get what you're given and nothing overly fancy. Visited with my brother. Can recommend the aroncino, the sirloin steak and the mushroom pizza, all great. The only dish that was meh was the scallop and langoustine ravioli, lacked some umph. Overall great experience though.

I'm a steak lover and my wife is vegetarian. Food was awesome for both of us. Deffo coming again.

Everything seasonal, everything wood fired. Choose your fish or meat by weight, and they’ll expertly cook it for you. I loved the straightforward vintage decor and the ambiance.

Nice location, great staff and tasty food with a great combination of flavours and fantastic presentation. The price point of the dishes however is quite high and although the prices are likely in line with the hackney area, it was a little bit on the bougie and fancy pants side.

Amaizing food and even better wines and drinks, the staff is super warming and Alex is a superstar.

Lovely local restaurant without tourists ;) The cook put love and effort in his dishes. Had the Radicchio, Ribeye & chocolate mouse which were all perfection in taste & style.

Not a brilliant experience. The food was OK but the portions were tiny for the prices paid. The waiter could not provide my daughter with a simple dash of blackcurrant for her vodka because it wasn't natural.... Blackcurrants were natural last time I looked! The service was also hit and miss for a lunchtime with hardly anyone in the place too. Won't be back to this one.

We were just blown away. A party of 15 isn’t easy to handle but they nailed it. Here is a copy of the email I sent to the manager: “On behalf of everyone just want to say a HUGE thank you for last night. Honestly we’ve never had such amazing AND WARM food (the potato bread was just wow), great wine and cocktails and impeccable service for 15 people all at once. Your staff were quick, attentive and had a great attitude. Was also super nice to be sitting in the restaurant and not in a separate room. Such a good vibe.“

Quite possibly one of the best meals I’ve had this year. The servers were lovely & helpful, and food was fantastic. We shared a mix of plates across the snacks, smalls, pizza, and finished up with steak.

Every dish was a delight - could have just feasted on the anchovies toast all night and would have been happy! The room loud and boisterous heaving with excited energy.

Some of the food was nice, good wine albeit overpriced but the worst thing is they serve an intentionally undercooked calzone which is fairly dangerous and quite unpleasant.

I had heard so many nice things about this restaurant and was very happy to try it… I was not satisfied at all. Service was incredibly slow, it took 3 hours to receive the entire course. We asked for wine and when they brought it we had finished already all the dinner. Food was okay, mushrooms were good. The rest was just another hipster centre European meal. Stracciatella had no flavour and the pizza was full of cheese (and check the size!!!) Bavette was hard as hell and definitely didn’t need any blue cheese on top. The spaghetti alla chitarra were okay but definitely not worth the price, nothing was worth the price of being sitting on high stools with the jackets on the floor (no hangers) and grumpy waiters. Not gonna go back.

The food was absolutely delicious, everything we had from the bread, pizzas, sides & dessert were amazing! The service was top notch by a lovely Italian guy who was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Only small minus point would be that the pizzas are advertised as 10", but are far closer to 8", sometimes size does matter! Would recommend this place to anyone wanting a beautiful food experience 🤩
