Fresh food cafe / tajeaway side of deli’ is very poor. Asked about sausage sandwich and she went to fridge and out cane a tupperware box of cold grey pre cooked sausages. Urghhhh. Unbelievable. So I asked for a cheddar cheese sandwich and it looked like processed cheese slices. She put tiny bits of lettuce and tomato which had been wrapped in tiny bits of cling film. Urghh. I should have walked away. Go to Giddy gannet in St Monan and see how food is served.

Nice place. Excellent coffee. Very strong. I won't need any more caffeine for days. Situated on the main street near the green. Easy access to the beach and harbour for a stroll in this very picturesque village.

Visited today and was really disappointed first of all the coffee order was wrong and the when the sandwiches eventually came one was wrong but we had waited so long we just accepted it, ordered more drinks but we were almost finished by the time they eventually came , I had the BLT the bread was just cheap white sliced loaf half of which was soggy from wet lettuce , my wife had the egg mayo which she said was really vinegary that will be our last visit as standards are poor and service is dire.

My grandmother, not being pc savvy, asked me to post a review based on her and her friends experience, after being told of the criticism in a previous review. This is a small family owned business, being managed by a mother and son duo. There are times when there is only one of them, staff do need days off, and even if you do have to wait, they are always apologetic, friendly and helpful. The coffees are the best they have had, and the scones served warm with butter and jam, are to die for. My gran would rather wait a short time than be rushed through a conveyer belt establishment. As a group of friends, they love Elie deli tasse.

The food here is reasonable but the service was dire. Tables left uncleared and staff obviously under pressure. We were happy to have coffee and cake after finishing our soup but the server just wasn't in evidence and we gave up eventually. I really dislike giving somewhere local anything other than a good review but this place really needs to pull it's socks up. Sands in Elie ( now closed) was an excellent little cafe and its closure meant this place took over its clientele ( and its tables!) but it's nowhere near as good. I doubt we will give it another go which is a shame given that we are local and like to support local businesses.

Tried this cafe just after Christmas and thoroughly enjoyed the food and ambiance. The lady was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Food is freshly made, the baked potato with coronation chicken was delicious as was the homemade soup. The cakes not only looked amazing they tasted amazing too! Prices were very reasonable. Have visited again since and although much busier on this occasion, can’t fault the quality and service.

Dropped in for a quick Latte and scone and was not disappointed . Lovely coffee and a scone just out of the oven . The staff are friendly and helpful and there is a nice ambiance in the cafe . Not a large menu but from what I saw toasties are very popular

... as is its parent, the Elie Deli, just down the road. And, following in its footsteps is top quality, friendly service, and a very pleasant atmosphere. The coffee is very, very tasty and of a generous size. And I really liked the decor.

We stopped in for lunch. The cafe was busy but we got a table and ordered toasties and they were delicious. The staff were friendly and I would go back again if I was in the area. We bought ice cream and had a stroll to the beach - not to be missed if you are near Elie

Bought a great double espresso and slice of lemon cake as a takeaway option. Always good service and the staff are very friendly. I try to stop here when I can on my way to or from Perth. The Lemon cake was lovely with just the right amount of icing and had a sweet tangy lemon jam in a delicious sponge.
