Elaine's Tearoom in Lancaster

I would highly recommend this lovely team room. It is tucked away but well worth the journey. The food is excellent, the staff are very friendly and the prices are great. I always have a trip for breakfast when I am in the area with my family.

We’ve spent some time in the area but had no idea this place existed until a friend took us. We had sausage and mash in Yorkshire pudding, and gammon. Both were really tasty and good portions. Our friends said they’ve always had fantastic meals here too. Service was pleasant and the price was good. Will happily return.

This was our second visit to Elaine’s and we were looking forward to it, but we were sorely disappointed. The woman who served us was unfriendly, we had to ask for cutlery as none was provided and we weren’t asked if everything was ok with our food (although people at other tables were). When she came to take our plates away, that’s what she did. We weren’t asked if we would like anything else. We left then and we certainly won’t be back. By the way, the food itself was tasty, but over-priced.

After driving down a very winding narrow road we came to our destination Elaine’s Tea Room and what a treat in store. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and welcoming to my friend’s dog too. There was lots of parking nearby. The food was amazing with a good choice including Vegan, Vegetarian and Gluten Free. We all felt really comfortable in there Andi our Waitress was friendly, patient and kind. It was packed when we walked in then Gradually died down. I don’t hesitate in giving it 5/5. We will be returning soon.

We’d planned a long walk from Clapham to Settle with a stop at Elaine’s before the final stretch back to Settle. We both ordered the breakfast with some changes to it and were given extras to make up for this. Both were delicious set in a great, friendly atmosphere. My son and I never tire of this wonderful place and are always guaranteed a great meal

The second time we have eaten here. Last time was postitive - this not as much. Coffee was dreadful - very very weak. Either someone doesn't know how to use the machine or they are being stingy with the coffee. Food and service were fine but I'll probably try somewhere else next time.

What a gem! Stopped for a coffee but ended up having lunch. Elaine’s has a fantastic range of GF and vegan meals and cakes -I was amazed by the selection- so much better than most places I have encountered. The ladies were so understanding and great with our anxious mutt. The chips are out of this world-proper home made😁.Big thanks for a fab lunch!

Called in after a wonderful session at Settle Falconry...we simply wanted to have a snack while loitering in these stunning surroundings! Waiting to be seated it occurred to us it was a busy Sunday lunchtime (our time with the birds of prey had over-un!) so we made our excuses and left, to have a waitress quickly follow us to say we were very welcome to have whatever we wanted! She quickly found us a table and we were speedily served with a delicious toasted sandwich and chips (the ham was especially good) and an excellent, well filled bacon and egg roll. Everyone around us was clearly enjoying appetising Sunday lunches...we will make a point of returning another day for a full meal, followed by a walk in this spectacular craggy setting.

I’ve stopped off here a few times previously but I’m sad to say , I was disappointed. The coffee was weak and lacked taste while the the Bakewell tart was also lacking in flavour - there were no almonds . This was left on the plate

Welcoming tea room after a long hike. Lovely staff and perfect hot chocolate. Pretty decor, stunning photos and local paintings on the walls. Facilities clean. Can recommend. They are open till 16.30 seven days a week.

Got recommended this place at the weekend. Thought I’d give it a try. Great cafe. Got the fish and chips and they were spot on. All home cooked. Delicious. Staff were friendly and efficient. Will definitely be going back next time I’m over that way. Thanks for a great service.

Excellent visit for lunch There were eight of us and cafe was busy but we were served quickly and efficiently by friendly staff. Simple meals e.g eggs and chips but very tasty. Ample parking in adjacent farm yard. Very reasonable prices Will certainly visit again

Called on Christmas eve to collect pre-booked take away Christmas Lunches. Took home, re-heated on Christmas day, and we both thought it was excellent - tasty, ample, and easy - saved a lot of work and was as good as creating it ourselves. We felt it represented very good value for money.

Disappointed with breakfast, the bacon seemed to be deep fried and was hard. The sausage tasted cheap. Egg was overcooked. For the price I expected a much higher standard. The service was good and the cakes looked lovely and I would certainly go back for coffee and cake. A little gem of a place in a lovely setting. Such a shame about the breakfast.

We’ve been to Elaine’s for a bite to eat several times but this was our first visit for Sunday lunch. It was very busy so I’m glad we booked (recommended for a Sunday). We both ordered the roast beef dinner which was exceptional. Lovely home cooked grub. We had room for a sweet so I had lemon cheese cake and my wife had plumb crumble. All washed down with a generous pot of Yorkshire tea and we had a take out of cake for later.

What a little gem this place is. If you're walking nearby, be sure to drop in. Remarkable range of food available and it all looked fantastic.

Have been here a few times on our walks for cake and tea,today we had a roast for four followed by dessert, it was the best Sunday roast we have had anywhere ,plentiful and the beef was spot on ,and it was reasonably priced so 10 out of 10 from us .
