Best taco place you can get Taco Bell ain’t got nowt on taco loco best crispy quesadillas I’ve ever tried

You order and there is always something that has run out like drinks or sauces. I payed just under £10 for a taco salad and they charged me for extra sauce. I could’ve had a three course meal for that price...

Visited today, and a warning sign should have been that it was nearly empty whereas next door was crammed (reason we went here as next door Greggs was so busy). Service was a little slow, even though there were only me and another waiting. We received our meal and sat down at a very dirty table, but we cleaned it ourselves. The food was ok, but a bit tasteless. The water we bought out of the fridge wasn’t cold and nowhere in the restaurant was a price for any drinks. One other thing that put me off was over the edge of the serving counter was a girl chatting up one of the staff and slouching all over the counter, poor hygiene. Won’t be returning and by the look of things probably the same idea everyone else has had after one visit.

Visited yesterday with my friends. Service was good. The food was yummy, fresh and filling. Price is reasonable.

Poor and slow service, rubbish, tasteless food.never eating there again. The staff have as much enthusiasm as a snail on steroids !!

Small but perfectly formed applies to the place and their menu. Great, delicious food (spicy fries are amazing) and staff are friendly and courteous. Good prices too. Yummy!

This review is a reminder to myself not to go back here. The food was awful. Really bad. I felt unwell afterwards. Nothing tasted fresh or even nice. The nachos were stale. The sauces were poor. I’ve been twice now and forgot about the first time. Writing this review will help me make a better decision next time. ( no complaints about the staff or the venue. Just the food. Cheap and nasty.)

I stood waiting in line behind the person who was being served........20 mins it took for this lass to put nachos in a medium tray and put some ground beef on it! She could not have cared less that she had a line of potential customers waiting! She moved the pace of a snail! We are a family of 3 adults and 2 children who were waiting to order “a large order” I stood there for 20 minutes and waited for her to serve the person in front of me, I waited and I waited and I waited...........to be honest all I wanted to do was ask her if there was a problem and why she couldn’t move at the pace of a normal person! The more we waited, the more fed up we were getting. I mean putting nachos in a paper tray isn’t a long job and this girl was completely with it and capable of doing the job. Absolutely disgusted and in the end we walked off. We were here 12.05pm Monday 8th October.

I'm a huge fan of burritos so I've been looking forward to trying El Taco Loco for a while now. They do tacos as you would expect as well as quesadillas and burritos with cajun v=chicken, spicy beef, pulled pork and veggie. I plumped for a regular spicy beef burrito which set me back £3:95 and other than the temperature I enjoyed every bite.

Small portions, bland food and expensive! More food in the taco shell itself than the filling. The beef was cold and watery, almost no flavor in the sauces or toppings themselves.

Popped in for a bite to eat prior to a visit to escape room and all of 5 of us had meal deals, one went large. Bill came to £27 and we left full. You get to choose your filling, whether you want a taco, nachos or a burrito, and then extras like cheese, sour cream, a choice of 3 different spicyness of salsa, salad, guacamole, jalapeños. Rice and beans. All can be made vegan by choosing the vegetable filling (done in fajita seasoning), with rice and beans plus salad. Just miss out the cheese and sour cream. The fries are spiced and gorgeous! It gets messy eating the burrito so you end up using loads of serviettes. Would recommend this for a quick meal when you’re in a rush. Really tasty!

Very bad service, when you review them and give suggestion to improve, they just delete your review off and also block you off from their facebook. The pulled pork buritto was extremely salty like a whole tub of salt has been poured over it. It has been like this for a few times where they just ignored me and blocked me off without providing proper explanation. This is the first time I've dealt with a company which has such as bad customer service. Worst customer service plus worst food, avoid!

This place is crap it needs major improvement. We got Nachos with a supposed to be "sour cream dip" this tasted like shop brought yogurt. Seems that the restraunts sunderstanding of sour cream is yogurt. The Nachos were disgusting stale and had no flavour could have done ourselves better by buying a bag of cheesy Doritos to be fair. We also brought burritos which tasted soggy the bread doesnt even get warmed properley and juice was dribbling all over the place! The mild salsa looked like some tomato and onion salad and had no soft and saucy texture. This was not a nice experience when we went to ask for a dollop of the other salsa we were asked topay 50p this place acts like their cheap sauces are as precious as diamonds imported from Africa.we were sat next to a holr in the wall stuffed with blue roll, this made me feel sick. The staff are not attentive and do not bother cleaning the tables and chairs properly - very unhygienic!!

I go here a lot and most the time it is really nice, when at its best the food is great and so is the service. Sometimes it does let itself down with some disinterested staff and food not fully topped up so get the dregs so to speak. 9 times out of 10 though it is really nice which is why I keep going back and I’d rate it so highly.

Came in to see that menu has changed and you can get regular and large now, thought the regular would be as it was before; was I wrong. Regular burrito, fries and a can, 4.99 sounds good until you realise the burrito may as well be a quarter of a burrito!!! I ordered the chicken burrito and must have been the smallest amount of chicken I have ever seen, about 5 grains of cheese, I don't like beans but no offer of an alternative. Can I have sour cream please? 50p for half of a small container must be about 20grams worth! The company must be the stingiest I have ever come across. Charge you extra for things as small as a spoon of sour cream dribbled on the top of the quarter of a burrito! Seriously not impressed. "Churros with Caramel dip" No cinnamon even though I asked and the dip again, a quarter of a very small tub. After one churro the dip had gone! Ask for more? 50p 😂😂😂. Honestly you would think that sauce or dip cost this company an arm and a leg. I cannot express how poor this place is, honestly. I'd rather eat a fresh snail from the mountains of morocco smothered in onion gravy and served to me with a side order of unbaked slugs smothered in their own juices, rolled in cinnamon with a side order of sour cream that I didn't have to pay 50p for!!!!!!! Avoid 😳🙈 This is for the taco loco in at st Stephens although I found this one I be equally stingey with their portions when I went a long time ago. I admit, I am a fool for thinking it may be different

very nice and like nothing we have had before. went whilst on holiday in hull. if we ever go to hull again, we will defo pop in again

Reasonable price of £4 for a burrito, Chips and a drink which I thought was good for a food court. Had no problems with "cold bland food" as someone said earlier

I popped into the food court in prospect centre for a quick lunch as it advertised a range of food options from burgers, sandwiches, Mexican, rotisserie chicken, pizza and pasta. What i found was disappointing A sparse food court where the Chinese is no longer there ( dispite being advertised in the main shopping centre) and the pizza/ pasta place and rotisserie chicken place were closed. My options were therefore burger king, a generic sandwich shop or El taco loco ( Mexican). Disappointed by the choice I opted for Mexican which I love but wish I hadn't. I ordered nachos which were stale with microwaved cheese on them. They had also ran out of guacamole ( which I was only told at the end when my order was made) and the salsa was bland sludge ( despite being told it was medium hot). When I complained about the lack of guacamole which was listed as included the server did check the fridge but said they had run out. No offer of a replacement item. The pulled pork I paid extra for was sparse, bland and cold. Weirdly though I was given chips ( which were cold and inedible) because a meal deal was cheaper than the tacos and drink alone. When did Mexican food come with chips!!! I think El taco loco needs to learn what Mexican food is meant to taste like because this certainly isn't it.

Was my first time here and the service was good but the food was a let down for me with the price. The food was lukewarm to say the least and the sauce which i expected to be hot seen as its a mexican was a mild salsa to my taste.. and tht was the hottest sauce.. can do better.

We fancied something different to eat and thought we'd give El Taco Loco a try, although the staff were friendly and polite, I don't think they sold/explained the products to us very well, even after we'd ordered our food I wasn't exactly sure as to what we were getting. The food was fine, chips were delicious and for afters we had churros and dipping sauce which were divine.

Food tastes nice, but extremely tight when it comes to portion control (same at other El Taco Loco's). It is pretty obvious that the staff have been trained to precisely measure portions (eg chicken must be a level cupful etc). It has put me off returning to be honest. If you make someone feel that they have had a good meal, they will return more!

Been here a few times and haven't been let down. The staff are great and the food is great. Fairly expensive for a quite bite though.

Visited the Prospect Centre Food Hall and decided to try El Taco Loco for the first time. The food was excellent and the staff were really polite and helpful. We shall certainly be going back for more.
