A wonderful local gem in Oak Park. Always wonderful service and food! I typically go for tacos, cause I'm super basic, but their menu has a wide selection of very authentic Mexican food and dishes..

I ordered online through Uber Eats at around 12pm on a Saturday, understanding it can be very busy in store, I was happy to wait for a while. However at this moment it’s been around 2 hours since I placed my order, and all I see is that it keeps getting pushed back. I have attempted to call their phone, and it says that the line is constantly busy. I left two voicemails and still haven’t received a call back or contacted through where I ordered. I started my order at 12:15pm, and at 14:50 I still hadn’t received a response. I decide to check their website to see that they’re closing at 14:30, yet they still haven’t cancelled my order. From what I can tell, they accepted my order, completely forgot about me and then took my money and did nothing about it. I am currently talking to Uber Support to try and receive a refund but they’re just as useful. Won’t be ordering here again.

Place has really started to drop off in quality. Used to be so good. Now they can’t roll a burrito, they started skimping on meat quality/quantity, and it’s just become so inconsistent. After coming here for 5+ years, I won’t be going back.

Drove from Sheffield to give Boss Burrito a try, we arrived at 1 o’clock to be told there was no tacos left which was a shame but having seen good reviews of the quesadillas and burrito we were still very optimistic. First the burrito was disappointing the rice was too mushy the only options were which meat to have whereas I’d usually expect options like jalapeños, refried beans, pico de gallo, soured cream etc. the quesadillas are absolutely huge, tasty and piled up with meat for £8.50 they are a bargain as they are more than big enough for two to share. The only issue with the quesadillas was that because of the amount of meat they are difficult to pick up and kind of fall in to mush. I’d prefer if the quesadillas had a bit less meat but a bit more cheese as the cheese was completely lost in it. If I was ever in the Hull area I would call again to try the Birria Tacos that I hoped to try today but I wouldn’t travel all this way specifically to visit Boss Burrito again as there is much better Mexican street food available in Sheffiled.

This place has the best tacos around. If you want tacos in the oak park area please visit this place

If anyone thats bilingual is looking to work here take my word and don't, the owner mistreats his employees and doesnt even pay well, besides you'll be seeking theraphy after being mentally exhausted from all the mistreatment food is decent but honestly theres better places:).

The reason why I'm giving this review it's because my friends work in this place, they have been suffering alot with the owner, he bullies them and fatshames them for no apparent reason, there's times where I go in and he talks bad about me, yes the food is amazing and all but him treating his employees like this is not okay, my friend has been working here for 5 years now and he apparently fired her, for no reason at all, he not only talks bad about my friend but about our friendships as well. There is so much I wish I could say here but I hope someone realizes that it's not okay for a grown man to talk bad about someone who is helping you build your business like this, please don't support someone who is bullying minors and employees.

Owner fired my friend who had been working for him for 5 years with no reason. He had always made the place a hostile work environment. He talks about his employees bodies, insults and is a chronic liar. He thinks he's on a higher pedestal because he owns a business. Don't go here. He is the worst.

I've been eating their food for 15 years. Their food is authentic and delicious. The owner/cook reminds me of my Dad who was an excellent cook as well. I recently had a 70th Birthday party dinner and I had Boss Burrito to prepare steak and Chicken tacos with Beans, rice, guacamole, and veggies for 100 people. The food arrived on time and was hot. It was so delicious and everyone enjoyed their food. I've had several people that were at my party to visit the restaurant since then. Thank you 🤗❤️😋😋

Have been going here for over 5 years and they have never switched up their recipes. I appreciate them so much for their food service and warm dine in space. Has better prices than the el tio #2 on lake. Sorry not sorry!

WOW! I really fancied a proper burrito for lunch and not from a fast food outlet where there is no character or flavour to the food! A quick google search pulled up this little food outlet in the indoor trinity market in the old town! its been a long time since i have been in here and its changed so much! We ordered 3 different meat filled burritos and we all enjoyed them. They were well filled and contained lots of meat! All the burritos were freshly prepared to order. You are given an electric buzzer which indicated your order was ready so you can sit and chill. The burritos only cost £5 each and for the size of them i feel this is a bargain! We did also try the Jarritos Mexican cola and to be honest for £3.50 I wasn't impressed. I'd recommend either a normal coke or a different flavour of Jarritos if your feeling lavish. The service from the lady was very friendly and helpful too Overall a very enjoyable lunch and plenty of dessert places for pudding!

I used to work in Oak Park and went here for lunch quite a lot. Small restaurant but the food is very good and the prices aren't bad.

What a perfect store. Many cultures of food, candy, and spirits. The staff is all the most friendly. The baggers are helpful loading my bags because i walk so i need the weight even. The have great quick meals for someone maybe needing lunch, flowers for your loved one, great dairy and fruits/vegetables. The meat section is a little small but with current prices, i couldn't see expanding. They even has a nice new cheese section. They have an excellent frozen food section for the nights you want dinner prepared a little faster. Their store beer, reasonably priced, very good.. Thank you

I visited the Boss Burrito restaurant tonight purchased the vegetarian taco dinner to go. When I arrived home sat down to eat my food everything was lukewarm to cool and the guacamole was not fresh. I called the restaurant and spoke to the daughter. I explained to her that my dinner was not hot and fresh reiterating my comments above. Her reply was the beans and rice are kept hot. I repeated that I live 10 minutes away and my food was not fresh , not hot, and the quacamole was not fresh. Her only response was I’m sorry. Not once did she offer to replace the meal .Not once did she offer a refund. Not once was I offered a satisfactory solution. Not once did she offer to do anything for selling a bad meal and it’s not even 6:00 pm the restaurant does not close until 9:00 pm so there was no reason not to make up for such bad service tonight. The parents’ English may not be fluent but the daughter speaks fluent English so I’m very disappointed with the response and attitude I received of this family business having no problems taking my money and selling me food not up to standards tonight from Boss Burrito. But more importantly as a 70 year old senior citizen who was looking forward to a delicious hot dinner tonight i was not given the courtesy nor satisfaction of this family correcting their error with a simple and small gesture to just replace the meal but I never was afforded that courtesy.

This is small exceptionally clean mexican restaurant in downtown oak park. Their burritos and taco are the best around. Their prices are very reasonable. I go there when i want high quality tasty mexican food. It is prepared quickly! Parking is nearby but sometimes difficult to find a space

Tried Boss Burrito at Trinity Market today and it was possibly the best burrito I’ve ever had. The value for money is INCREDIBLE (£5 for a massive burrito, what more could you ask for?) and the atmosphere in the market was a nice change of scenery for me. Thank you for a lovely meal!

Boss Burrito Trinity Market. Steak Burrito absolutely amazing. A solid slab of slow cooked beef brisket. Zero fat gristle or stringy bits. Just end to end flavour. So tender. Only downside if I'd known I couldn't cut this slab of deliscousness with a wooden knife and fork I'd have asked the lady to cut it in half before she wrapped it. Or just eati if from the foil without fully unwrapping. First proper trip to the Foodhall inside Hull Trinity Market. 10/10

Burrito was small and it was mostly beans even though it was steak burrito. Not going back. Price was alright though

The first name for them fits them like a glove . They even take special request to make that burrito taste and look how you want it. Oh, and I can't forget to give a shot out to the nice young lady who works the front and knows me and my buddy's name, making us feel welcome!!

No place to sit while you wait for your food

Don’t order from Postmates and this restaurant. They will wait until the very last minute to cancel your order. I placed my order at 8:03pm only to have them cancel my order at 8:58pm. Either they don’t care about these things, or they need to change their ordering windows.

Hole in the wall Mexican food that's saucy and delicious. The tortillas taste super fresh and they have a very friendly staff!

Order a takeaway today for 3 people, got a bit of everything twice and I can’t believe the size of the portions. Very tasty and it came within 45 minutes. We’ve got enough for our Sunday dinner left for tomorrow. Great value spicy and tasty just like Mexican food should be.

Service was quick. However. overpriced for the amount they serve. I had enchiladas and it lacked salt, tortillas appeared under heated and hardly any meat. The rice portion was less then 1/4 of a cup, they gave me more lettuce then rice and beans. Very disappointed. Will not return. The orchata was good. I love me mexican food and I even enjoy taco bell. So I am far from a picky eater. So for me to give them 2 stars for a good orchata drink and quick service, is sad.

I meet with friends this nice place from time to time! This is the best place to eat. I go to this spot at least once a month. The meals are of high quality, the staff is polite and the price is reasonable. I like meeting in this place to have a nice dinner.

For fresh, quick Mexican food Burrito Boss beats out several other Mexican restaurants in OP when I’m looking for authentic street food. I love the poblano taco, salsas are very good...in general the food is made with love and care. Nothing fancy but genuinely and consistently tasty food.

I don't know if the food was good. I called, was not only rushed in placing the order but was also yelled at, so I said NEVERMIND - THANK YOU. ( I could still here the loud woman yelling as I put my headset back on the receiver. So, I went out of my way to drive to Cicero and get some yummy food for my coworkers and myself from El Indio. Go check that place out. The food (and service) is great there.

Greatest Taco Place in Oak Park! When you walk in, it seems really small, but the atmosphere really makes up for it. The place just oozes out a feeling of authenticity and makes you feel really welcome as well. Now lets get onto food. The food is some of the best Mexican food I have tried to this date. The food is priced very nicely when compared to the quality of the food you are given. The drink selection is great and has a nice variety. Love how they make their own drinks when it comes to Horchata and etc. Overall really great, 10/10

Given that there are typically two people working there, I can't figure out how they make my food so fast. The chile relleno tacos are Amazing. Cheese-chile explosions with each bite. All the other food is great. I love this place.

The customer service was horrible, I believe the customer that is face to face should be a tab bit higher priority than the customer over the phone. I’m standing therefore rudely getting interrupted mid sentence for minutes at a time while she took phone orders. Secondly the tacos were tasteless and the shell was extremely soggy. I would not recommend this place.

If you have never been, you need to go. Staple Mexican place that is always great. There can be a little bit of a wait/line because it's popular and they cook to order. Worth it.

I try to talk to a manager and they didnt let me. and they were rude. The food was horrible and nasty I would never come back.

Picked it up for lunch and my wife really enjoyed it. She tends to be fault picky, but was a fan of this place. Not greasy at all, with decent size portions. I enjoyed the red hot sauce more than the green, which is usually the opposite. Not because the green wasn't good, but because the red was THAT good!

I ordered the green enchiladas and flauta dinner for the first time. They were both delicious! I have ordered the tacos and taco salad in the past and those were good too.

I only had their tacos so weigh my opinion in light of that. The tacos were small and without much flavor. I drenched them in the salsa on the table. The pricing was high for what I got, probably reflecting the cost of rent in downtown Oak Park more than the food itself.

Good food in a casual atmosphere. Counter order restaurant with limited seating. Enjoyed steak burrito, steak tacos, pork tostada and guacamole. Good flavor all around. The pork was especially flavorful. Might be a bit pricey for counter order, but you get a lot of food.
