El Pescador in Swansea

We visited Swansea for 2 days on 1st of April and we got there by luck, looking for a fish and seafood restaurant and the name gave us the hope, and what a brilliant choice! The food was beyond amazing and the service was perfect! A young girl called Carys helped us choose the perfect starters and mains and she made us feel special, she even found the right options for my very fussy 12 yo son. She basically deserves a medal for he most trained waiter I met so far. For me El Pescador is maybe the best restaurant I've been in UK so far. If I'll visit Swansea again it will be for sure for this place. Thank you Carys, and the best compliments to the chefs for the brilliant food they made!

Came here with the family for my 19th and it was amazing the only bad part was not knowing exactly what I wanted from all the options and there was something for everything. Carys really pulled the experience together making sure we all felt comfortable and welcome, ensuring we all had everything we needed and left satisfied with smiles on our faces.

El Pescador Restaurant in Swansea is a seafood lover's paradise! During our visit, we dined here three times and were consistently impressed. Amazing fish never had any fish better (I had swordfish was Devine) beautiful views over marina and great atmosphere inside - waitress Carys was brilliant quick to help and gave recommendations was lovely and had a beautiful smile - waiter mark was also very helpful and served us. Wow what a great restaurant - the food was amazing - we could have eaten it three times over! The starter was gorgeous pork bites - the main so well cooked and deserts irresistible. The service from Carys and Mark was perfect - attentive but not too much and just the right pace. Perfect night and this just might be our favourite restaurant- we will be back

Waited quite a while for mains, had pan seared scallops and they must've been sitting under heat lamp for so long the tops of scallops were crusty burnt. Sat in the sauce for so long half the scallop had stained red. Worste seafood ive had in a while. My mother's snapper & prawns were cold and only having 4 new potatoes 2 of them had black spots. You'd hope paying so much money for food, the little amount you get you'd hope to be on point. Unfortunatly this time not. However the starters were great, but I feel everywhere we go the starters are always great. You can't mess that up.

We’ve been to El Pescador a few times now and it’s always so lovely. We’d not been in a few months so we decided to come back and it did not disappoint! We were served by the lovely Connor who was really attentive and friendly always checking up on us and asking if we needed anything. Will definitely be coming back!

I was staying on the marina and spotted this as I drove in and took a look. Sandwiched between the marina and the beach it has a great location. Friendly creating from staff on a busy Friday night. Atmosphere was lovely and very friendly even as a solo visitor. I went all fish for my menu as it was so fresh!! Beautifully cooked and will defo be having chips with paprika again!! 😃😃 would defo recommend.

Thought my husband and I would eat at this restaurant after going to see a show in Swansea Arena. Ideal position on the marina within walking distance. On arrival was greeted and taken to our table by a pleasant waiter. Ordered our drinks and food quite quickly. Had olives and garlic bread to share which were delicious. My husband had the lamb with Canarian potatoes and I had the chicken. Food was tasty and hot and really enjoyable. As I put the last forkful into my mouth a waiter came over and took our plates away without asking if we had finished! Then a female waitress named Carys came and gave us the dessert menu before I’d even swallowed my food. She realised that I was still eating and apologised profusely when I complained. Everything seemed rushed even though we still had over 3/4hour left on our 2 hour slot. A couple on the table next to us who arrived around the same time didn’t seem to have the same problem! It’s was such a shame because we really enjoyed the food. Looking back at other reviews there’s a bit of a pattern in others saying the same. Management need to look into this as we left feeling rushed and ended up not leaving a tip as we normally would.

Visited with my family brilliant atmosphere and service and even better food had the pork belly starter which was perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. For main had a perfectly cooked tuna steak which tasted fresh and also have to mention the oysters best I've tasted in swansea. Special shout out to Terry, carys and josh for making the night incredible brilliant service all round also noticed the owner helping out and being a real team player lovely place will visit again.

We visited El Pescador as a group of friends & family for a birthday lunch on a Saturday afternoon 30/03/24. We booked the restaurant a few weeks in advance just to be sure & it’s a good job we did it was fully booked on the day. We were shown to our table near the window with great views over the marina. The table was in a good position & quite roomy so plenty of room for all of us. The staff were very friendly & attentive without being intrusive. The food was excellent especially the fish. The serving staff at our table were Carys & Mark both of whom were extremely professional & helpful. One of our party asked for 0% lager & this was no problem at all. The food was of the highest quality & good sized portions. The restaurant specialties are fish & steaks but other meals are available & there is a specials menu too. I can highly recommend El Pescador to anyone.

Lovely meal, great quality and cooked to perfection. The lamb and beef literally fell apart. Atmosphere was spot on for a bank holiday weekend. Big shout out to our waitress Carys who went above and beyond and more importantly kept my wine glass full! Even took a few photos for us after our meal. She is a credit to the restaurant.
