This is my must-go/must-have place for fish and chips if I visit Swansea. Definitely one of best fish and chips I have ever had for a quite long time. The food is freshly done while you wait in the shop and it is hot and fresh! Fish is super fresh (you can taste a bit sweetness) with the crunchy batter outside, just so perfectly done! The chips are so tasty and I do love the sweetness of the potato, just so nice and to be honest, so far this is one of my most favourites (I am quite picky on how chip is cooked). The scampi, definitely worth a try, so tasty! The Irish curry is the best combo/compliment to eat with, the spicy is not too hot but just right! The portion (is huge compared with the price I paid back home) for the price is very economical friendly. The staff there are so nice and friendly. Overall, I highly recommend this place and definitely deserve a visit back if you give a try!

This place is amazing. Been going here for years now, the owner, Lovely is a great and friendly person, always love to chat with him, same with his employees, all generally friendly. The food is excellent, and is probably the best you can get in Swansea. Not to mention that the prices are very competitive and cost effective, especially considering the portion size, amazing value for money. Overall I would definitely recommend!

Great value fish and chips, large portions. Fish is always cooked fresh. Staff are friendly. We went to Hiks today as colwyn is closed and having work done to the shop, and were very disappointed! I can't see what all the fuss is about with Hiks. The Fish was dripping in fat, and was half the size of what you get here! And the Fish wasn't even skinned! How this is rated as the best chippy I don't understand. Please if you're going to hiks think twice and try Colwyn avenue instead!

We have recently found this fish and chip shop. We have a few local very local intact. This chip shop was the first one open towards the end of the first lock down, of course I went there. Amazing everything cooked fresh , amazing friendly staff claire and jack plus the owner sorry forgot hos name . A really good portion of food and agood variety of choice . Of course course freshly cookedfood. Thank you .

Love colwyn chippy have been a customer since the 80s. The cod is amazing and you always get very generous portions especially the chips

Definitely worth a visit to this fish bar. The staff are polite and friendly, the place is spotless. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are good. We had fish and chips. We had to wait for our food but only because they fry the fish when ordered which means they are fresh. They also put the fish in a box rather than wrap it in paper which means you still have lovely crispy batter when you get it home which doesn't come off when you unwrap. A great place to get food, well frequented by the locals.

Had friends from outside the UK visiting and took them along to try a proper fish and chip shop. All went well until getting home to find the food we ordered wasn't all in the bag they handed us. I did see them prepare our orders, but there was another person waiting for food, and I think they packed the wrong things. It seemed accidental, but meant I was without a full meal for one of my guests. (I'd be mark this lower, but had many good experiences there in the past, and everyone does make mistakes from time to time when busy.)

If you like huge portions at reasonable prices then this is definitely the place for you! Here they serve fish and chips, burgers, sausages, battered sausage, rissoles and now awesome kebabs! Recommended!

If you enjoy good quality traditional fish and chips this is the place to go. Always excellent high standards, good range of food available and the owners are always really helpful and keen to ensure you get exactly what you want. They even go the extra mile to help! If you're visiting Swansea, it's worth seeking this one out! Used by my family countless times and will continue to be a firm favourite!
