Well worth a visit, friendly staff and decent food at reasonable prices

When I entered this place, it was love at first sight. I asked for a small breakfast and I was given an incredibly cheap price. When I tried the breakfast, that was the first time in my life I experienced true flavour. I would give the food 100/10, the service 15/10, and the friendly atmosphere 10/10. This is place is a must- visit.

A very nice and cozy place. My companions and me, after landing in Birmingham, went to El Cantina Cafe for lunch before our long travel to Middlesbrough. Despite we got late, because there were ten minutes left before closing, they were very kind and welcoming with us, and the sandwiches that they served us were absolutely delicious.

Ordered a full English with bread and butter looked nice on the pictures! What I actually got was full English with (Toast) Deep fried sausage with the skin all shrivelled! Over cooked baked beans! Cheep chopped tomatoes, Toast was warm bread with butter soggy. 4 staff literally walking round joking with each other couldn't be bothered to get my order correct! Couldn't be bothered to bring breakfast over ! Also brushing the rugs in shop with a broom dust going everywhere!!!!! I won't ne back.

Been here a few times. Very friendly atmosphere and the food is even better. I can be fussy about food, but literally can not fault anything. Absolutely delicious special breakfast.

Go there for breakfast when I'm going fishing out that way always a very good breakfast friendly staff & cheap.

Great traditional breakfast and friendly staff. Other food looked good as well baked spuds with plenty of filling choice. The place doubles up as an Indian restaurant in the evening.

Good grub classic cafe all at reasonable prices

I ordered the steak and onions baguette from this place. On the picture was a beautiful looking, filled to the brim baguette with onion rings and steak. When I took it back to my office I noticed it looked nothing like the picture. I would describe it as two bits of meat that looks like cooked dog ears covered in half cooked onions. Not to mention it tasted like dry liver. The only reason I gave this place two stars instead of one was because the bag of crips that came with it wasn’t of date.

Stopped here for a bacon and sausage baguette. I took it away to eat later. I opened the bag and the baguette was a part bake baguette that wasn’t cooked. It was just a doughy baguette that tasted vile. My concern now is I had a couple bites of this baguette and now I’m thinking I’ll get a dose of food poisoning. For a cooking establishment I would avoid this place. I called up to complain I was offered a refund and I got a sincere apology. I’m not fussed about the cost which was £3 the apology meant nothing to me. What sort of idiots serve part bake baguettes not realising they need to be cooked. Totally shocked🤮

No small breakfast is £4.25 In using tea or coffee and 2 toast or bread and butter. Good food good value

twice in a row now my order was incorrect and for the very high prices they charge, the portion size is pathetic. once I can forgive but I will not be risking wasting my money again. Very poor

Nice cafe with friendly staff. It's essentially a truckers cafe, but don't let that put you off, there were high end business men sitting around us eating sandwiches made by the cafe. If you struggle to find it, use Royal Spice instead. It's the same building.

My husband introduced me to this cafe in 2001 and since then I always look forward to Saturday mornings when i have my breakfast at this cafe. Great banter with staff and customers. First class sausage & egg toasted sandwich.
