El Burrito Mexicana in Derby

Yesterday i ordered the food which was tasty and nice recommend everyone to visit there.

Always love getting the Mexican burrito, and great service:)

Waiting over 2 hrs for food isn’t great phone number doesn’t ring

i ordered classic Mexicana burrito this evening and the burrito was very tasty and fulfilling. really recomend to try their burrito.

Missing items. Supposed to be sending them out, doesn't really make up for everything being cold by the time it gets here, if it gets here. Quality not great. I pay for a service, I expect what I paid for. This is ridiculous. Avoid Avoid Avoid!!!!

Food was amazing, quick service as well. About time that derby had a good Mexican place 2 eat. Affordable also, seriously try it.

It's pretty good, as much as you expect from a burrito place. My biggest things is the 2 times I've been I've asked for nacho cheese instead of salsa but have been ignored, I've been charged normal price so I'm not overpaying I just really want some cheese 🥲

Best burrito I've ever had. My go to place for the 3 years I lived in Derby and haven't found a match since in any city or country. Brought my friends over from Norway and they were SHOCKED by how good it was. Beyond recommended!

Ordered a delivery rodeo deal for 2 and nacho burrito for 2. It arrived by pushbike late and cold. It was soggy, there was no beef in it It was all rice I took pictures of the poor quality but nowhere to upload them. The food was appalling even the fries were over cooked and inedible. I don't know how this restaurant survives serving food as bad as this. Total waste of 34.72 recommend you do not order from here save your time and money!

After not delivering our food last night due to delivery guy going to wrong address the manager called me today to apologise which I very much appreciated we decided to have the order delivered today and when delivered it was hot and delicious I accepted their apology as mistakes happen but the way they resolved the problem was 5 star so thank you to them I will certainly be ordering from them in the future

One of the worse burritos I have ever had, pretty much everything was wrong with it.

Oh dear, another good idea poorly executed in Derby’s travesty’s of take away businesses. Food was nearly cold when it arrived, and had to microwave the Burrito’s (cracking start) and lacking one of the most quintessential of items for a Mexican food item: Salsa! Making the food taste very samey! Chicken nachos had a tiny serving of cheese sauce on covering maybe 5 of the chips, the chicken actually WAS cold on the nachos, the cheese was mozzarella?!? All with no salsa. (We ordered extra which would have saved the day slightly, but got a pot of Jalapeños instead) The chicken Burrito’s (x2) were supposed to have all sorts of things in them, squeeze of lime? Nope! Salsa? if there was we couldn’t find it! It’s quite shocking what people/businesses get away with when the customer doesn’t know what a good version of different food should be. Trading standards should be notified for a diff description on the website. All this made for actually, what was an exorbitant price in the end. Should be ashamed to call this Mexican food. Wouldn’t recommend and CERTAINLY won’t be buying from there again.

Travel all the way from Nottingham just for the classic chicken burrito Mexicana hands down the best in east middlands will recommend & have brought it for a few of my family members services was on point & always friendly if you’re ever in derby stop in and try their other dishes i’m sure they’re just as delicious 5🌟

Food is amazing and the service is outstanding..

DO NOT COME HERE the people behind us in the line were served first even though we’d said we had a bud to catch. my food was described as ‘cheese nachos’ but the nachos were spicy and it was cheese sauce but this was never specified. we were over charged by £4.90, when we told them this we were only given £4.70 back. the cheese sauce and cheese burger contained CHUNKS OF PLASIC. not only this but the person preparing the food was using both his hands but only one was gloved.

Best in Derby! Need to visit. The owner Vikjinder makes the best buritos. Yum yum

I often come here for lunch, the burrito tastes good and it's at a reasonable price. Would recommend!

BBQ burrito was delicious and reasonably priced! When my food was messed up, they fixed it very fast and politely. I’ll come here again.

It's a kebab shop that happens to do burritos. The burrito I had was incredibly bland, only flavor was a vague spicyness.

I like their burrito and quesadilla.. The only issue is they have same fillings for both the items.. And thats a little disappointing.. Cleanliness needs to be worked on! The table tops are all normally sticky sticky and that's a little bad! The best part is that They also have halal options which I think is nice for the halal meat eaters! I normally go for the vegetarian options and they taste really nice! They do student discounts as well!

Come here every time derby play at home as I travel from Nottingham. Food is amazing and reasonably priced. Must try if you haven’t.

About 3 pieces of Donna on top of the order, I rang to ask why she was rude and said that’s the portion size wait until next time we deliver more! Well won’t be ordering again ridiculous never had a problem usually but have now!!

Ordered the chicken chips and cheese,Cold chicken with bones in it where their shouldn't have been, cheese wasn't melted also ordered nachos and cheese but save your money as nachos were stale one of the worst experiences for 9 quid.

I went here a couple of weeks ago for the 1st time. I had taco's for the 1st time and they were quite yummy. Would definitely go back again.

Ordered two burritos in store at 19:02. There was no one else ordering at the same time and the store was empty. It took over 15 minutes to serve my order. I presume they were so busy with online orders that I had to wait. Had I known the store didn't serve in person customers straight away I would have gone elsewhere.

I would really recommend you the el burrito because the food is good quality and the workers there are nice as well .

I've been frequenting this food joint ever since it's inception in 2018. The experience has been really Good, Always a Great spot to get Good food, which is well prepared The prices are reasonable and the portion sizes are definitely bigger, compared to other places. Had a quick & friendly chat with the cook. Very welcoming & warm environment. Clean place and smelled Good. For the delivery option-something to take account into is that there is a delivery window of one hour (mentioned in Their website). Buen apetito.

Supreme quality food. Highly recommended. Ordered for a family of 5 including a vegetarian and a fussy eater, and not one complaint. Nothing left. Something here for everyone!

Stayed in the premier inn across the road and got this for dinner. Huge double cheeseburger with bacon, large cheesy chips and a breakfast wrap for £15, super fast service and lovley food. You get what you pay for, yes its not michellin star restaurant food but it fills a hole 👍

Popped in for lunch while in town - grabbed a burrito, chips and 2x burgers. All freshly cooked. Tasty. Will return.

Worse food and service ! Apparently the jalapeño bites aren't cooked at all due to an assumed leakage of the cheese filling or so I was informed by the staff. Also informed that although the burrito was cooked, again was informed that due to the adding of salad this had brought the temperature down to zero and not there concern. On complaint, was immediately met with hostility and ambivalence to our concerns and was informed that due to the food being handed to us, that they were unwilling/unable to provide a refund regardless of my consumer rights and regardless if I was satisfied or not. Save yourself the journey!

Ordered via uber eats. Worth the wait after a hectic day. The portions were generous and everything were good and tasty. The meat on kebab and burrito were full of flavour. The jalapeño and soft cheese were a perfect complement. Highly recommended. Will definitely order again in the future.

Such a delicious barbeque bacon and chicken burrito 😋. Loved it. Everyone have to try it.

Got dinner while on holiday. Not mexican taste for all the Mexican food. 🤣 Bland and tasteless Chips and chicken wings are tasty though.

Took over an hour to arrive, once arrived it was cold and soggy.

We tried you for the first time tonight and it sure won't be the last! Really tasty, piping hot and delicious, delivery was over an hour but it was worth the wait! Thank you.

Really good Mexican food. I really love there burritos and there B.M special burger. Always arrives pipping hot. Long delivery time mostly so order in advance. They do tell you the delivery time will be around 1h so don’t be surprised

Not fresh ingredients, burrito pita was raw, the lamb was from kebab meat. This has nothing to do with Mexican tradition photo.

Very nice people! They made a mistake and quickly resolved it and gave me a free cookie with it, the food was super good too!

Chose the Hot Punjabi Burrito and was very pleased. Got it made just as hot as I wanted. Go there hungry because the portions are huge.

It was a walking past "give it try" decision. Glad I did. The Steak and Cheese and Spicy Chicken Burritos were both enjoyable. Tasty and a decent size. Reasonably priced too.

Food here is normally great, at a reasonable price and a good variety of food to order. I will however mention about the cheese sauce, it's very hit and miss. Sometimes is perfect, and sometimes its sour and vinegar'ey. Its genuinely inedible when it's the latter. Overall though, great place, this is why I have given it 4/5 Stars on this occasion.

Ordered a burrito. Chicken and 3x extra steak. It was so tasty and fresh. The best burrito I've ever eaten. I'm now a new regular customer going forwards.

The food is brilliant, but they NEVER get your order right. Make ur own burrito would be the best option if they would be nice enough to make it actually right. Also be prepared that drivers are not carrying change with them.

Order took 2 hours to arrive (nachos, tacos and a soft drink), no apology from the restaurant. If the restaurant was struggling so much then my order shouldn't have been accepted in the first place.

Staff was very polite and added extras onto our burritos for free. But the facilities were a bit greasy and the salsa they use is too sweet and gives the food a strange taste.

Food was great and a good price. We sat in to eat as it was raining though and it was absolutely freezing with the radio on absurdly loud!

Wouldn’t even give it a 1 star but can’t leave a feedback without any I don’t usually do feedbacks but ordered from here last night and didn’t even get our food waited an hours then got in touch with them and they said it’s not even been prepared yet will be about another 30 or 45 minutes partner said he will just get a refund and they said no so waited another hour and tried ringing again and they kept ignoring the phone still didn’t arrive so my partner went down there and asked for a refund and they said they couldn’t give 1 cause it was through uber eats u have 2 get in touch with them

One of the best Quesadillas I've ever had, Meaty zesty and juicy!! With the lime, sour cream and all the works it was fantastic... Also recommend the Cheesy chilli fries too, to be fair I have been impressed with everything on the menu... Food is of high quality with fresh ingredients and made to order, fantastic value for money!!

Best burrito I've ever had..had the grilled steak although the steak was a slightly chewy still better than the rest ... even though they are halal they dont advertise it which is a shame as it's really worth a try

My favourite takeaway in derby, healthy, speedy, nice staff and reasonably priced.

I was the only person in there, so not busy and took a minute for staff to acknowledge I was there. My wait had earned me the service from an unenthusiastic and unpassionate gentlemen. The food I had chosen was the veggie option burrito and had specified no cheese, which he had accepted. After receiving the food and returning to my vehicle, much to my dismay I soon realised there was cheese throughout. I'm shocked at the inability to process one simple request, in a particularly unbusy period, and especially when it is concerning a common allergen and people's health. Unfortuneately I never got a chance to return the food or give them a chance to rectify the issue. But its a real disregard for health and safety in an industry where you are directly serving food to people, hence my rating.

They have brilliant burritos, but the opening times arent correct online or on the door of the restaurant.
