Been in for lunch a few times. This time got the chicken shish which was cooked to perfection. Great stop for some real food with a relaxed atmosphere. Good portion sizes too.

Unfortunately not the best place you can visit. Communication with clients leaves much to be desired. I was unpleasantly surprised that the chief of staff communicated with the visitor so disrespectfully.

Lovely cafe for a coffee or snack!

Absolute disgrace of a place. Do NOT recommend. Waitress was loud and rude to customers and was loud and bossy to the other waitress. Myself and my son both had macaroni which was served cold- twice! The waitress was putting her bare hands into the grated cheese and pasta to put them into the bowl to microwave them. This place is absolutely minging with low standards of hygiene!!

The owner of the Restaurant was incredibly nice and the food was super delicious. The whole restaurant looks to have been freshly renovated and has an open and airy concept. Great for fast and good food. The location is good and right in the city centre. Would definitely come back.

We met here for an event. Although we agreed in advance for soup, main course, soft drink and dessert, they said they would charge extra for the drink and that they could not serve the dessert because they could not make it, but they charged us full price , £18. The food was the worst I have ever eaten in terms of price/performance. The main course was boiled meatless spine and bulgur pilaf.

We stubbled upon this wee cafe very fortunately. The prices and food were amazing. All freshly made infront of the house. Such a nice welcoming atmosphere, very family vibe. Like sitting at your mums table for lunch. The portions were massive and we couldn’t finish our plates but we gave it a real good trip. Must try comfort food, we all fancy that now and again.

Quick, convenient, reliable take out. Pretty good fish and chips and the halloumi in the halloumi salad was delicious.

We called in for a light bite. The staff were nice and friendly. They even allowed us to bring the dog in. The service was quick and the food was good. We would definitely call again.

Brilliant place! Excellent food at great prices. My personal favourites are the breakfast rolls, the pepperoni pizzas and the macaroni cheese, which are exceptionally good. Great atmosphere, and very friendly, approachable, helpful staff. Also, they always have wonderful atmospheric music playing in the restaurant, which adds to the top quality vibe here! Their live music nights are a great experience too. Deserves more than 5 stars IMO!

We were so happy last night to eat here! We felt so welcomed and loved the tutrkish mezze. Order from the black menu, you won't be disappointed! Live music on Wednesday so we will be back! This place is so much more than fast food.

Had breakfast and lunch here on a day trip to Dundee. Good for a cooked breakfast and filled rolls. Great coffee too. They also have Turkish menu which we didn’t try. Very handy for the bus station.

It was ok but i will not be going back the food was average and i didn't get what I ordered and when i went in before i sat down i asked do you take card payments and the guy said yes so when i went to pay for the meal the said the card machine doesn't work 🤔 likely i had a ten pound note enyway im not going back if enyone is thinking of trying the place take money with you and doing expect great food cos your not going to get it there.

Went here for lunch today. The food was amazing. The grilled lamb chops were excellent and the Angus burger was very good and full of flavour.The staff were also very friendly. Will be back next time I'm in Dundee.

Amazing food, pleanty of choice on the menu all homemade recipes and genuine ingredients. The staff are easy to talk to the setting is very inviting. The food is premium quality. Always walk away happy! 👍

Found this little gem hiding not far from the Wellgate. Food was cooked to order and since then my husband has been back on his own. When you enjoy the food you will always return. Also do takeaway but love sitting down to eat.

Good place to get food. Normally order online and sometimes get pizza on my way home after work. Quick and efficient plus affordable!

Visited last Saturday(1/2/20) for breakfast with my wife and son. Ordered three Scottish breakfasts. The food was terrible. Everything was deep fried appart for the bacon which was cold, and the fried egg which was destroyed. Could hardly eat any of it, and don't bother with the toast as they spread it with that horrible cheap spread rather than butter. The only thing(appart from the bacon) that was not overcooked was the black pudding which appeared nearly raw so we didn't eat that either. We could have compained, but thought it would make no difference so are advising on here instead. I would suggest avoiding at all costs.

Ordered from just eat for the first time. One of the few places open on Boxing day so fully expected them to be busy but it doesnt excuse the food quality which was awful. The panini was half empty and soggy, the chips were greasy and rubbery they could be bent in half without breaking and the salad was brown and soaking in grease from the chips. Popped in here for lunch while shopping in Dundee.We both had macaroni chips and salad .It was freshly cooked and huge portions and very tasty We also had mugs of tea and it was all served by a very friendly waiter The price was very reasonable and I would certainly recommend it

Good (but not great) food at a fair price. It's never going to get a michelin star, but by the same token you aren't going to leave unsatisfied. The Scottish breakfasts are excellent.

I went with my 2 friends and we loved the food and drinks and the staff are really helpful. I have been in many times with my friends and family and highly recommend efes :-)

It's okay, either a hit or a miss. Sometimes it can be really good and other times it's like the chef/staff couldn't be bothered. Decent prices, but not the first choice for myself anyway.

Excellent breakfast and burger definitely go back

Walk past Efes corner and smell the odor of old cooking oil. Their extractor fan drips congealed fat onto the stairs of a disgusting doorway covered in graffiti. You get the feeling you and your clothes are going to take on that rancid smell. It's right beside a taxi rank too. Makes you cross the road to avoid walking down that side of the street. Food/Customer Service/Interior Decor and Price all decent enough.

This place should be a Dundee institution – great corner site, opposite the Wellgate; interesting and varied menu; cross between an American Diner and a Turkish/Mediterranean kebab shop; plenty of veggie options; retro decor... but the service!! The Cook did her best to cover for a waiter who urgently needs training. A Diner has to be fast and friendly. The waiter was neither. Food WAS good though (Sunday breakfast), so with a bit of work on customer service it could be a gem. Here's hoping

Decent burger, does the job, cheap and cheerful. Although my wife wasn't mad on the burger seasoning which was a bit Turkish kebab-esque but I enjoyed it. Might be a nice place to go for a quiet breakfast.

Food wasn't good which was a pity as staff friendly and nice American diner look.

food's nice, lady sighed at the chef as we walked in felt like an inconvenience to the lady. Ordered a milkshake was told when ordering would take a while, the food came had half our breakfast before the drink was ready only for it to sit on the counter for 7 minutes before I went up and got it the waiter apologised but nothing from the lady and no straws either wasn't a great experience let down as the place looks great and was far better last time I was here.

Just popped in on off chance on way home ..wanted something to take away...anyways asks for cheeseburger and got asked if wanted just normal or homemade with chips sat on bus eating this and I can honestly say was spot on just cooked to perfection and taste was spot on too ..one happy lady

Went in for a quick snack, placed order, n waited after 15 minutes I asked how much longer it would be only for them to realise they hadn't even start cooking It!! Wasn't even that they were busy, only about 4 others waiting, once food came I wasn't that impressed, pretty tasteless toastie n hot dog was awful won't go back
