EDO Izakaya in Islington

Tuvimos una comida realmente encantadora después de llamar a spec para ver si podían sentarnos sin reserva. Gran variedad de platos ofrecidos, y la presentación fue buena - con sashimi se sirve en hielo afeitado y decorado con flores comestibles, que recuerda a las comidas que tuvimos en Kyoto. Escogimos un plato mixto de sashimi (no había probado antes el butterfish, sin duda lo volveré a pedir) , rollo de araña, karaage de pollo, ebi tempura y deliciosas croquetas de camote. Todo estaba recién preparado y generosamente dividido - la calidad del sashimi es un punto culminante particular, así como la elección de sake y whisky japonés por copa. Nuestro servidor Jak nos hacen sentir muy bienvenidos y cuidados y no podemos esperar a visitar de nuevo! Sin duda traer amigos aquí que aprecian la comida japonesa, ya que estoy seguro de que les gustará el menú, la calidad y el ambiente.

Vine aquí por el cumpleaños de mi novia. La comida era fantástica y el servicio de Susan hizo toda la noche perfecta. No podría recomendar más.

La comida era genial, el servicio por Saif era maravilloso! Yo recomendaría los rollos. Sashimi era súper fresco y agradable también. Bebí un poco de Prosecco, fue genial. Felicité a Saif después de su servicio porque es tan bueno!

Nos sorprendió la calidad e ingenio de los platos. Totalmente delicioso. Nos encantó el peaje de atún picante. El sarro del atún estaba golpeando. Y los rollos de dragón miso iban a morir por ellos. También nuestro camarero Said era encantador, atento y muy eficiente.

Fantástica comida, sabores realmente interesantes, como berenjena al horno miso, sushi genial, platos de cangrejo. Comida muy bien presentada. Tenemos muchos platos que compartir, como tapas.

10 de nosotros tuvimos un almuerzo de celebración aquí. Pedimos cócteles a la llegada que tardaron 45 minutos en llegar. La comida era agradable, pero de repente las luces se apagaron, sin previo aviso, después de que habíamos terminado nuestra comida, que estaba claramente diseñado para deshacerse de nosotros. Probablemente mejor mencionar que cierras y te gustaría que nos fuéramos. Muy grosero y extraño, especialmente porque éramos clientes de alto gasto.

Disfrutamos de un encantador almuerzo del sábado. Habíamos comido sushi la noche anterior, así que fuimos por la gyoza, bao bollos y pollo katsu. Todo estaba delicioso, pero el pollo katsu era excepcional! Nuestra tercera visita y volveremos pronto.

Gran ambiente. El pudín estaba sabroso. El servicio fue genial. Personal amable y servicial. Definitivamente volveremos.

Buena comida, buen servicio! Volveré de nuevo. Grandes opciones vegetarianas y a los niños les encantó. Nuestro favorito era el Rollo de Dragón. Mochi muy bueno también.

We did the early-bird menu and the food was delicious. Huge portions, especially of the sushi which was very tasty. Raymond and our waitress (didn’t catch her name unfortunately) were very helpful and ensured we had a lovely experience.

Lovely to stumble upon this place last week and had a very delicious lunch of my own. Ordered their biggest sashimi platter then a fried chicken karage. Staff were friendly and efficient and food came fast. Totally enjoyed my experience there and reasonable price too!

Wonderful food and cocktails, particularly the vegan dragon rolls and Tofu Salad. Everything felt very fresh and tasty. Great service from Mushfiq who was really freindly and attentive!

Amazing service from start to finish. Food was excellent great pricing for big portions. Staff were super friendly and very attentive. Had the most lovely evening will 100% be back soon!

The food is very tasty here but the service on the day we visited seemed a bit under pressure- we had to ask to be shown the tasting menu which we wanted, courses arrived in a random order and towards the end one main came to the table 10 mins before any of the others- meaning one of us had to eat while it was hot and then sit and wait while rest of us ate. Cod dish (with a big supplement) arrived with no cutlery and 2 of the same mains arrived 5 mins apart as apparently the beef steak was slow roasting- it was steak and def not slow roasted. Maybe the kitchen was short staffed but for the price it felt a bit haphazard.

Amazing place! The food is insane (some of the best Japanese you’ll get) on top of that the staff are so friendly and welcoming! Can’t wait to go back!

Jamie & Pratikshya were amazing hosts! The food, service and overall experience was 10/10. The hospitality is brilliant and really adds to the enjoyment of this place. Must visit!

Amazing food and great cocktails. We had the Bao buns, salmon and prawn tempura sushi, gyoza all fresh and amazingly presented Jaime makes the best cocktails and he has a great personality Great atmosphere highly recommend this place Great value for money

This is quite possibly the best food I’ve ever had in a restaurant!!! We were a bit disappointed at first as we’d been told this place was fully vegetarian, but we both occasionally eat fish so it wasn’t the end of the world - and oh my god, were we glad we stayed!!! Everything was so delicious and SO beautifully presented, I think we took a picture of every single plate. The veg gyozas and the miso dragon roll deserve special mention - insane. Everyone working there is lovely and attentive, but we have to give a proper shoutout to River. You could tell he was really passionate about the place, particularly the cocktails, giving us recommendations and chatting to us. Thank you all for making it such a lovely evening - we can’t wait to come back :)

Beautifully prepared food (we had softshell crab, chicken bun and more), great whisky selection (at last discovered Suntory) and excellent thoughtful service - from Ri-vet. Recommended, and we'll be back!

Our server, River was very helpful, professional and friendly this is an amazing experience it's a good idea to bring family, friends and more! Definitely 100% I recommend the sushi personally I love the kimchi rice and chicken karaage. Gyoza was lovely - little kick of chilli was a nice surprise

We thoroughly enjoyed Saturday lunch at EDO Izakaya. It’s right up our street - cool interior, excellent ingredients, delicate and expert flavour combinations - and proud service from Mahin. We had a selection of ngiri, carpaccios veg gyoza, black cod - all superb. The sake mojito is a winner. We will be back. highly recommend.

We were here on New Year's Eve, it was very cozy. The staff were very nice and courteous. The food was fantastic. The sushi is highly recommended. I can only recommend it.

We had a great experience at Edo Izakaya. Having been to most of the Japanese restaurants that London had to offer, we would definitely rate it among the best. Great atmosphere and lovely staff (our waiter Pivet). Especially given the reasonable prices.

I am a big fan of Japanese food. Thought I would try it out and I was not disappointed. I ordered a variety of dishes and each one was better than the other. Our server Jak was great - attentive but not overbearing. I will definitely be going back.

Probably the best Japanese food I've ever had. The staff couldn't have done more to ensure we were happy and the cocktails are just divine. Would 100% go back and definitely recommend this place if your looking for a great night out with amazing food.

Came here one evening with a group of friends and we couldn’t have been more happier with the service and food provided. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and the food was amazing. Definitely would return again. Highly recommended
