Nice enough place, loads of different pots, mugs plates, jugs and bowls to paint. But the staff there are so glum. They don't seem like they want to work there at all, so unfriendly and they barely help you. They drone on and sound so bored when they are explaining things to you. Also the hygiene doesn't seem to be great ethier as they don't clear or wipe down the tables. They also dont seem to clean the plates ethier. There are just stacks of dishes on the tables and no one lifts them. And for the price of what you pay for everything it should be better.

This is the 3rd visit in row we have visited here and had to sit at a dirty table. No dirty trays being lifted. I asked to speak to the Manager and she came out and heard my complaint . A couple of minutes later, the young girls who were waiting were talking among themselves and pointing in our direction. After finishing, we left and the dirty trays were still sitting at our table. By the way , these dirty plates were from the previous customers. Very poor hygiene and customer care. Disappointed to say the least.

Really lovely visit with mum and two neices - lovely atmosphere with other family groups, couples and a group of women from a church. Every one was busy and clearly enjoying the creative energy with several staff members available to fix artistic blunders and offer advice - should out especially to Adam and Julia! The pieces are expensive, but considering the final products can be used for years, it's not too bad. (We have plates and jugs in very regular use for over about a decade now!) Didn't have any refreshments this time, but we do call now and again for just a coffee and a mooch about the shop to see what's on offer, and recommend the scones especially.

A really lovely visit here yesterday. Great fun decorating the vase I chose as well as enjoying very good coffee and delicious homemade sweet stuff! Big selection of premade items to paint, bowls, dishes, vases etc. These are then fired and glazed and can be collected 7-10 days later. No artistic talent needed as a huge collection of sponges with assorted shapes are available , even kids can take part. A delightful way to spend an hour or two!

We used to go regularly before Covid and it was lovely. I don’t know if it has changed hands or if it’s just all new staff but my goodness the staff are now really unfriendly and unhelpful. There used to be staff dedicated to the painting side. We arrived and there was no one in the painting section - went to the only staff there (at the counter) and explained we had a booking - she just stared at us and said ‘okay’. That was it😂. We stood awkwardly until another member of staff came over and told us to just pick a table and paint! I don’t think any of the staff smiled the entire time we were there. We spent over £100 and it was as if we were inconveniencing them! The selection is much smaller than it used to be and it is very expensive. We really enjoyed the activity - but it was very much help yourself. Such a shame - it used to be lovely.

It's quite an unique experience according to me and the feeling of crafting something on your own leaves you with a heart filled with pure joy. You might find the prices of the items on which you try your hands on to be a little expensive but the experience perhaps makes it worth. There are assistance on the floor along with a little demo by the friendly staffs. There is one cafe at the site as well. Parking spaces could be a little tight on busy days.

We managed to squeeze into the last session of the day and so glad we did. The staff were very friendly and gave us a demo in painting our chosen items. The prices of each piece are written on the bottom so no surprises. Given the process that has to go into making these pieces and the work that goes into the finished article we thought the prices were reasonable. We are also having ours posted home for postage cost. We had a fantastic afternoon here and we will definitely come again when we are over on holiday again.

We then picked up the pottery the following week and had lunch, very expensive and not very nice. The panini did not much filling and for the price was not good at all. We're both very inexperienced with Pottery and it was very easy withe the Sponges they provide. You pick what you wanna paint and everything has a different price which at first seemed a bit steep to me but that is all you need to pay, the entire service is included and most things are about £20. Highly reccomend to anyone looking something different. There is also a cafe that's decently priced and the coffee is really good. I will definitely be back.

I was part of a socially distanced hen do in the gazebo at the weekend - it was really well catered for, especially in these trying times. We were accommodated outside, and were told to wrap up warm (needed on a wet Saturday), but the gazebo was stunningly decorated and spacious. We were able to paint and chat, as many painters were solos or in pairs inside. It was a fairly busy day, but we were checked on. Phil even came and helped us to finish off; he chatted to us all and was able to fit in some finishing touches, like stripes on mugs and teapots or edges on bowls and plaques, to suit our pieces. Will recommend, both in better times and in socially distanced times. Will be back soon!

I visited Eden Pottery recently to buy 3 takeaway scones which totalled to £6 as a treat for a socially distanced coffee afternoon for my elderly mother in her back garden. This is extremely overpriced for scones regardless of whether you sit in or not, but the fact that I was taking them away to eat at home, made it even more ridiculous. Far too expensive for scones. To top it of, the person who I believe is the owner of this place, told me very rudely to step away from her as I was too close. Of course I understand the need to distance at this time, but she could asked me to step back and been nicer and more friendly about it. It was very rude considering this is new for everyone and it can be easy to forget. I won’t be returning anytime soon.
