First time visiting beautiful location and food was excellent (large portions) and good value in my opinion. It was extremely busy and staff were run off their feet. Ordered from the specials menu and it arrived in ten minutes I was amazed. Top Tip read the menu, click on the QR code and order yourself voila food arrives excellent. I will definitely be back..

Shown to seat by older lady, waited 20+ mins for someone to come take orders. I held up menu to draw attention to the older lady and with a sharp tone to her voice she shouted yes ok get you somebody now. I felt like walking out. Food was good, dessert was beautiful but I wouldn't go back with her attitude. Maybe recommend customer care training as someone definitely needs it.

I booked a surprise afternoon tea for my besties birthday last Saturday and I can say that this experience was fantastic from start to finish. We were met by Lorraine our host who showed us to our table. We got lucky and where placed by the window with a beautiful view of Strangford Lough. Lorraine chatted through the tea menu and said she would be back with the soup. Beautiful veggie soup came out and Lorraine ever the brilliant host asked if we wanted a photo. Small touches. Then the savoury cake stand arrived. Everything was delicious. Curried popcorn (a favourite), pinwheels, savoury pastry and sandwiches. Then the delicious dessert cake stand arrived and wow! Candyfloss, macaroons, mini éclairs, scones (with cream and jam) chocolate fondant and chocolate cake. We sampled some of these and took the rest home as a treat for our other half's. Amazing service from start to finish. Would thoroughly recommend. Theme : Mad Hatters Tea Party

Was at Harrison's this morning for breakfast. While the service and the food was lovely, the place could do with a clean. The seats were covered in crumbs, and the child's high chair was caked in food. A little more attention in these areas would have made such a difference to our experience. Would think twice before returning, which is is a shame as it's a lovely place.

Beautiful setting. Staff that appear to be always busy. Food - non existent. We placed our food order and drinks order just after quarter to one with the drinks delivered shortly after. At quarter past two we asked where our food was to be told that they would check. No one came back to us. No food was delivered, yet lots of other tables had gotten their food. Offered to pay for my sparkling water and got an apology of sorts and the water free. Service was abismal, especially as we had travelled from close to the North Coast on a recommendation. Won’t be back in a hurry.

Having travelled from near the North Coast on a recommendation, we went to the restaurant around 12.35pm on the 5th May 2025. We waited a short time and were told ther may be a short delay due to the numbers. We took our seats and ordered the food and drinks shortly after a quarter to one. The drinks arrived shortly after whilst we waited, and waited, and waited. Until quarter past two when my wife went up to ask about our food order. My temper is short at the best of times, but like the egg timer, it was about to run out. My good lady was told that they would check, but again no one came back to us. At 2.25pm, I had had enough, went to the till to pay for my drinks. I said our food had not arrived at which I got a half apology and a free bottle of water. Lovely location. Staff that run around taking orders. No food or explanation is given. I’m glad I left when i did as I was getting angry. We had hoped for a nice relaxing day and good food. Harrison’s, disgraceful way to treat customers. If you don’t have the staff to ensure that everyone gets what they order, then someone’s head should roll. Poor is an understatement. I won’t be back.

A Delightful Dining Experience at Harrison’s of Greyabbey On May 5, 2025, we had the pleasure of dining at Harrison’s of Greyabbey, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Outstanding Food The chicken burgers we ordered were nothing short of spectacular. Juicy, well-seasoned, and served with a perfect balance of fresh toppings, they truly showcased the kitchen's commitment to quality. Each bite was a testament to the care and skill put into their menu offerings. Top-Notch Service The service was impeccable. The staff were not only efficient but also genuinely warm and attentive, making us feel welcomed and valued throughout our meal. It's evident that the team takes pride in providing a memorable dining experience. Charming Atmosphere Set in a picturesque location with views over Strangford Lough, the ambiance at Harrison’s adds to its charm. Very disappointing. We choose a seat at the window rather than sitting outside so we could appreciate the view. I was really put off by two cats that were wondering around on the outdoor patio, it made me wonder if there was a problem with vermin. The cats jumped up onto a table which hadn't been cleared of food and they began to scavenge the left over food. Several of the staff came out but didn't chase the cats away. We won't be back.

A bit disappointed the other day we went to Harrison’s myself I opted for kids lasagne as I thought the large lasagne would be massive. Lasagne came this wee tiny bit in bottom of a tray with 1 bit garlic bread and about dozen chips. Yet they charge £10.99 for KIDS LASAGNE!! My husband had the chicken goujons 4 on plate with bit coleslaw and chip on side £17.99!!My son who 2 had portion chips (very small portion chips) £4.50!Also 2 soft drinks total bill was £40.11. It is so OVERPRICED for what it is won’t be returning in a hurry! Views are stunning, staff friendly but for a family it’s far too Expensive!!

Extremely disappointing. It was 3:45 and we were looking for somewhere that would still be open for a coffee. We clicked on the coffee icon at Harrisons and were told it clsed at 5.00 So we drove 15 minutes and queued. The family in front of us were ordering 3 teas, two pavlovas a chocolate egg and a fruit square (I remember because it took so long) When it came to us the staff member asked for our table number, I said we had just arrived for a coffee. He said ‘sorry but the kitchen closes at 3:30” I said that the info on Google maps said 5pm. He said that that was the shop bu kitchen closes at 3:30. I said we don’t want hot food just coffee and a pastry. He said “No, everything is closed”. There were people behind me wanting to pay and I was so taken aback I didn’t want to create a scene, but realised I should have asked “how come the family in front of me were ordering teas and pastries?” I know it may be possible that they had eaten earlier and had a table (although they looked like they had just arrived), but it doesn’t explain how they can get tea and desserts at 4pm but we couldn’t get a coffee and a slice of rhubarb tart that was just sitting there in the display cabinet? We had wasted our journey and received no satisfactory explanation as to why they couldn’t serve us. If there had been a good reason we would have accepted it, but very disappointing from Harrisons and extremely poor customer service.

Been a few times and always good & food lovely. Unfortunately we had my Mum with us for Mother's Day lunch last fri. My mum had the small portion of fish & mash while my husband had fish & chips. I had a burger & chips. My husband just cut the fish in half and found a hair. Manager was very responsive and apologised and said it would be deducted from bill. I had almost finished my meal & there was a hair on my plate. Again manager was called. Offered us something else but I'd had enough. Two meals deducted from bill. Thankfully my mums was fine. We left and called to Cuan in Kircubbin for tea & traybakes which was lovely.

Quite possibly the best burger I've ever eaten. We were working in the area and called into Harrisons Restaurant for lunch. With no real expectations I ordered a beef burger with bacon and brie off their lunch menu. Boy was I pleasantly surprised. The burger was large and tasty and clearly made from the very highest quality beef. It was dressed with fresh, crispy salad and a delicious dressing all wrapped up in a super fresh, soft bun. It was served with an ample portion of dry crispy home made chips. The views are stunning, service was quick and staff were really friendly. I cannot wait to return and sample something else of the menu. The only difference next time is that I shall really try to leave some room so that I can sample something form the tempting line-up of sweet treats on display :-)

Went with friends for lunch. The lasagne was sadly not available which was s pity as 3 out the 5 wanted it. However ordered loaded chips and big disappointment. They were frozen french fries rather than chips and the chicken pieces were as dry as the Sahara. Didn't enjoy them at all and left the meal. It is very pricey for what you get . I know it's a popular place but over rated would be my honest opinion . Too expensive for very average food which as I've mentioned was dry as sticks and not as described on the menu.

We went for a family celebration here as we knew the place and were sure of the standard of food, however this was not the case this time. The bacon on chicken stack had a blue mark that looked like mould. This was pointed out to management who swiftly removed the offending item, they came back a moment later and informed us it was not mould, only ink from the marking of the bacon rind and posed no risk. I have been cooking a long time and have never seen the marking on the rind of bacon permeate to the meat, and were it a bleed of ink the meat marking it would have been more than a dot. The manager only offered this explanation and did not offer to refund the item. After seeking the manager out and again speaking with him he agreed that this meal would be removed from the bill. I do not feel that the customer service was adequate, the manager should have offered this resolution without prompting, no-one wants either mould or ink on their bacon. An apology and instant offer to remove from the bill is the least I would have expected. I am normally happy with the service and food here but this experience has marred that somewhat. I do not expect something for nothing, but I do expect management to immediately accept responsibility for an obvious problem.

After 20mins I asked again, there seemed to be confusion with us moving outside wirh different table number, she said that it was on its way, after another 15mins asked another waitress who was outside serving, eventually got out tea and coffee after 40mins. I was tempted to either just leave or make it myself. The waitress staff were all very nice, although I got a filter coffee instead of an Americano. Went to pay and mentioned to Mature lady on till about delay and wrong coffee and she replied "at least filter is cheaper". Not right answer at all, probably won't return as found this reply from lady on till very rude, maybe if she had even said sorry about mix up. The waiting staff are all very lovely.

We visited on a random Saturday and it was truly amazing! The food was tasty and super filling with very reasonable prices. Plus the gorgeous view and super friendly staff. It's a great spot for the whole family as they sell things for home, garden and loads of things for kids. Helen the shop manager , thanks for your kind and warm welcome and will be back soon again! Salam and hossam

Amazing proper Norn Irn breakfast! Lovely place with great staff. Not very cheap but then again quality doesn't come cheap.

We had a friend visiting so we made a 2 hour round trip to Harrison’s on the recommendation of a family member. Despite the interminable rain, it was just a joy! The waitresses were friendly and accommodating, the food was sooo good (and you can select exactly what you want for your fry on the website if you choose) and the view was just fabulous. Unlike Ashvale Farm where we would go locally, we were at no point urged to vacate our seats, despite the queue, as it does take me quite a long time to clear a plate! I had the French toast with extra banana and maple syrup and it was just divine. All others at the table really enjoyed their too (including my husband who couldn’t decide so he ordered two breakfasts - then moaned all day because he’d eaten too much 😆!) I was slightly disappointed by the grumpy man in the shop who wasn’t particularly helpful but then we didn’t go, to go to the shop. We will definitely be back to the restaurant though- thank you all for a wonderful morning!

A buzzing place with a lovely view; would have preferred, though, if the owners had arranged for a blue sky the day of our visit.

I visited this place after 4 years and it has gone down hill. We had to be asking for butter, sugar and they had almost no food available. The plate was almost empty… just loads of bread. Also we had to change our choices twice. A shame! We love the place but felt disappointed after our last visit.

Went for a spontaneous family meal and the staff were so lovely and accommodating to my mum, who is in a wheelchair. The only fault I have is that it was relatively busy and their tables for 4 are rather small. All in all, a lovely experience.

I purchased a loaf of Wheaten bread here yesterday, the first time from this shop. I cannot believe how poor it is, it's nothing like the wheaten bread I have known all my life (I am 70) and grown up with here in Northern Ireland, it's more like a fine cake, it's bland, without texture and too sweet. I won't be buying this again and do not believe it's a good example of this staple NI food

This place is very busy but we got a table. Staff say they are always busy so that’s a good sign. They don’t have an alcohol licence. It has an adjoining garden centre which means they attract a more “mature” clientele. Food was adequate but nothing special. A nice fry up for me was good, a chicken and broccoli bake for my wife was rather tasteless but well prepared and my daughters loaded chips which was chips with chicken lumps on top. No cheese. Good friendly service seeing how busy they were.

Called in for a late lunch, the restaurant wasn’t busy. Ordered pie of the day (waitress informed me it was chicken & ham) however, a slice of meat pie arrived, the meat was hard to chew but the carrots and mash were good. My friend chose the fish and chips, average portion. There was a very strong odour in the restrooms, they would need deep cleaned and freshened up. I’m afraid I wouldn’t recommend taking visitors there.

Had a beautiful SENIORS lunch today. Gorgeous pate, delicious soup both served with toasted ciabatta as a nice change. Ample roast chicken dinner for the men, good portion of fish goujons and fries, and the BEST caesar salad ever. WILL BE BACK!
