Best afternoon tea ever! Great food, and service in a very relaxed atmosphere...

We had a friend visiting so we made a 2 hour round trip to Harrison’s on the recommendation of a family member. Despite the interminable rain, it was just a joy! The waitresses were friendly and accommodating, the food was sooo good (and you can select exactly what you want for your fry on the website if you choose) and the view was just fabulous. Unlike Ashvale Farm where we would go locally, we were at no point urged to vacate our seats, despite the queue, as it does take me quite a long time to clear a plate! I had the French toast with extra banana and maple syrup and it was just divine. All others at the table really enjoyed their too (including my husband who couldn’t decide so he ordered two breakfasts - then moaned all day because he’d eaten too much 😆!) I was slightly disappointed by the grumpy man in the shop who wasn’t particularly helpful but then we didn’t go, to go to the shop. We will definitely be back to the restaurant though- thank you all for a wonderful morning!

A buzzing place with a lovely view; would have preferred, though, if the owners had arranged for a blue sky the day of our visit.

I visited this place after 4 years and it has gone down hill. We had to be asking for butter, sugar and they had almost no food available. The plate was almost empty… just loads of bread. Also we had to change our choices twice. A shame! We love the place but felt disappointed after our last visit.

Excellent great location family run business

Went for a spontaneous family meal and the staff were so lovely and accommodating to my mum, who is in a wheelchair. The only fault I have is that it was relatively busy and their tables for 4 are rather small. All in all, a lovely experience.

Such a wonderful place to eat, wonderful staff, and people friendly, beautiful food and smaller portions for pensioners and children. X

Had the most amazing Christmas turkey lunch yesterday 💯 the turkey was perfect, moist and delicious, and all the vegetables perfect as well. Not to be missed!! A joy to be in such stunning surroundings, thanks to everyone. 👍♥️

I purchased a loaf of Wheaten bread here yesterday, the first time from this shop. I cannot believe how poor it is, it's nothing like the wheaten bread I have known all my life (I am 70) and grown up with here in Northern Ireland, it's more like a fine cake, it's bland, without texture and too sweet. I won't be buying this again and do not believe it's a good example of this staple NI food

This place is very busy but we got a table. Staff say they are always busy so that’s a good sign. They don’t have an alcohol licence. It has an adjoining garden centre which means they attract a more “mature” clientele. Food was adequate but nothing special. A nice fry up for me was good, a chicken and broccoli bake for my wife was rather tasteless but well prepared and my daughters loaded chips which was chips with chicken lumps on top. No cheese. Good friendly service seeing how busy they were.

Excellent place, friendly staff, delicious breakfast food. We love it here!! Edit: Coming back to reduce this rating like they have reduced their menu. Very disappointed this morning only one vegetarian choice for breakfast now and it sounds awful on the menu. We actually left without ordering as the other options my family liked are gone as well. Don't know why when changing a menu you make it worse then put the prices up. Sadly we probably won't be back after coming here for years unless the menu goes back to the same level it used to be *Re-edit* Back to its previous standard. Glad they sorted out their problems. Delicious food and great service once again.

Excellent food and service, cannot fault it

Recommended by a friend, lovely remote place that feels friendly. Food reasonably priced, was good quality and tasty. Only issue I thought was it was slow, 45 minutes to receive a burger. Also as a solo diner I ended at a table right at the entrance, made me feel very stuck out. I’d have loved a window seat in a booth. I appreciate though groups spend more and would be prioritised. Still, I would return again if I’m in the area.

Food were nice and service is quick. Friendly staff with a nice view of the sea. Outside tables and chairs available. Morrelis ice cream in small tubs available at this place. There is a small garden centre and gift shop and plenty of car park. Would recommend if you prefer a good meal after visiting Mt Stewart as its only 10minutes by car.

Four of us went today for lunch 😋 and it was absolutely 💯 gorgeous 😍. We were all totally amazed by the hospitality of the staff. You may need to wait in line as its so popular but the wait was really quick. We definitely will be back on our next day out as it was so on point 👉 👈. None off us had any complaints and couldn't rate everything highly enough. Food is to die for desserts are amazing 👏 and so much choice. Also loads off different drinks options.

A popular place for breakfast, lunch, dinner, teas and coffee. Great variety in the menu and food is very good - made to order. As others have commented, the views are magnificent. Frequently busy and sometimes a small wait can be expected. Overall, highly recommended. Staff are polite and very friendly. Has an adjoining farm and a gift shop which is well worth a look! Only gripe is the massive mark up on drinks. Over £2.50 for a bottle of 500ml coke and a bottle of Fruice is £2.45.

A very nice location with a view of Strangford Lough. The food was good too. We took our mother for her 86th B-Day as she had never been - she was quite impressed.

Lovely place, brilliant location, super clean with lovely staff. It is a little pricey, but very similar to local garden centres etc and the food is very good.

Went here for food today. The food was lovely and the staff were friendly enough. However I got a roast silverside beef dinner, which was £14, on the plate I got one slice of beef, mash, one roast potato, one Yorkshire pudding and some vegetables with gravy. My issue with this is the pensioners, which is like £9 is the exact same just no Yorkshire or roast potatoes. I really don’t understand how for a whole £5 extra I can get one roast potato and one Yorkshire pudding on my plate…. I’ll happily visit again, but won’t be ordering that dish if it charges an extra £5 for one roastie and one Yorkshire pudding.

It was a lovely place to eat food that suited "my sister and I as we are in our "80"ies smaller portions would have enabled us to enjoy your lovely desserts and it is very noisy and here are more of us living longer so maybe something to think about a quiet area for us oldies

Love this place. The gift shop is beautiful, everything is presented with style are love. The owners are always there giving it a personal touch and the staff are amazing, always have a smile and a wee chat. The cakes, pavlova (and Brie) are outstanding lovely ice creams for the kiddies. Couldn't fault it, the staff are so helpful and the food was amazing! Best haddock in batter I've ever had, and linzis chicken stack had her scraping the plate 😂 highly recommend this place, and the shop off the restaurant has a great collection of homely bits and pieces.

Had the philly cheese steak sandwich and it was probably the nastiest food I have eaten in a while, which became obvious as it arrived a matter of minutes after ordering it. Their food is far from fresh or good quality.

Nice view but the food was very poor, avoid the Philly cheese steak baguette, inedible.

Perfect place for a Saturday brunch. The view is amazing on a good day. Food is delicious, place is clean and the service is friendly.

What a great find! Had never been here before but lovely food with amazing views and really great relaxed friendly staff too despite busyness. We went for a late lunch, I would imagine it would be very busy at peak times. The whole garden centre was lovely too. Well worth a visit and we'll certainly be back!

Excellent I bought a sambuca Nigra "black lace" and a "blood of the Boyne "malus domestica. What I really wanted was quincho purple,but hey, another time! Owner very pleasant and helpful guy while being a good salesman.ive been before, I will return d.v.

Dire service. 85mins waiting time after giving order. No trimmings or veg in meal. Child's portion of chips as restaurant had run out of items. Abysmal experience! 👇

Great spot for views, cleanliness, space and friendliness of staff. We went for breakfast. We were disappointed that the chef couldn’t provide one of our party with avocado without onion in it as it is preprepared. Also disappointed in the sourdough bread. It didn’t have the lovely distinct taste of sourdough but was more like a mass produced, dry, dense pre sliced pan loaf, not like the usual rustic sourdough bread we’ve had previously. The eggs were all over cooked too. I think going for lunch or dinner might be better and would definitely return for this but wouldn’t choose to go there for breakfast again.

A bit of a drive to get too but on a good day the views are stunning from the restaurant. I was there for the Christmas dinner and got the roast beef. It tasted great but was a very small portion. 1 slice of beef, 1 spoonful of mash, half a spoon of mixed veg and a Yorkshire pudding with gravy. You could fit it all on a saucer minus the Yorkshire pudding. The pudding was a bit more generous. I had the same Christmas dinner at Romas in Ards earlier in the week with work which was cheaper, not so far away (for me), double the portion size with just the view missing. I wouldn’t be in a hurry to return to Harrison’s with better local options available.

Food was good and staff were excellent. However the dining area has no soft furnishings to deaden tsiund and even only partly occupied, the noise level from people chatting was intrusive making conversation at the table almost impossible.
