Its a nice place and the pottery painting is fun, however the staff make you feel like an inconvenience. Cant say that about all, however we walked in, were ignored by 2 staff and the third disappeared. I don’t mean this in a rude way at all, however it was just really unprofessional and we felt like an unconvinience to them. Its a really nice place however this really just had a big impact on the overall experience

Now, really only a restaurant/ coffee stop, the pottery seems to have been cut back. Some pieces we wanted are no longer available.

Overall we were disappointed with our experience of pottery painting at Eden pottery. Firstly we stood for 15 minutes when we arrived and were completely ignored by the staff, I had to go right up to one to ask what we do/where to sit as we hadn’t been in years so weren’t sure. The staff were completely disinterested and unhelpful. We were already halfway done our pieces by the time we got given a demonstration, therefore affecting the quality of our pieces. The selection of pottery on the day we went was extremely poor. We went with the intentions to paint a side plate as that would keep costs low enough, but the only options were £40 jugs, or bowls, the only cheaper options were mugs which we didn’t want as don’t drink tea or coffee or decorative letters which were useless to us too. Our total for 3 people was £120 and for the service we got it was far off being worth that. To top it off we were told in 7-10 days we would be contacted to collect the pieces, I rang today on day 13 to be told they were ready, I believe if I didn’t ring they wouldn’t have bothered.

Nice enough place, loads of different pots, mugs plates, jugs and bowls to paint. But the staff there are so glum. They don't seem like they want to work there at all, so unfriendly and they barely help you. They drone on and sound so bored when they are explaining things to you. Also the hygiene doesn't seem to be great ethier as they don't clear or wipe down the tables. They also dont seem to clean the plates ethier. There are just stacks of dishes on the tables and no one lifts them. And for the price of what you pay for everything it should be better.

This is the 3rd visit in row we have visited here and had to sit at a dirty table. No dirty trays being lifted. I asked to speak to the Manager and she came out and heard my complaint . A couple of minutes later, the young girls who were waiting were talking among themselves and pointing in our direction. After finishing, we left and the dirty trays were still sitting at our table. By the way , these dirty plates were from the previous customers. Very poor hygiene and customer care. Disappointed to say the least.

Really lovely visit with mum and two neices - lovely atmosphere with other family groups, couples and a group of women from a church. Every one was busy and clearly enjoying the creative energy with several staff members available to fix artistic blunders and offer advice - should out especially to Adam and Julia! The pieces are expensive, but considering the final products can be used for years, it's not too bad. (We have plates and jugs in very regular use for over about a decade now!) Didn't have any refreshments this time, but we do call now and again for just a coffee and a mooch about the shop to see what's on offer, and recommend the scones especially.

A really lovely visit here yesterday. Great fun decorating the vase I chose as well as enjoying very good coffee and delicious homemade sweet stuff! Big selection of premade items to paint, bowls, dishes, vases etc. These are then fired and glazed and can be collected 7-10 days later. No artistic talent needed as a huge collection of sponges with assorted shapes are available , even kids can take part. A delightful way to spend an hour or two!

We used to go regularly before Covid and it was lovely. I don’t know if it has changed hands or if it’s just all new staff but my goodness the staff are now really unfriendly and unhelpful. There used to be staff dedicated to the painting side. We arrived and there was no one in the painting section - went to the only staff there (at the counter) and explained we had a booking - she just stared at us and said ‘okay’. That was it😂. We stood awkwardly until another member of staff came over and told us to just pick a table and paint! I don’t think any of the staff smiled the entire time we were there. We spent over £100 and it was as if we were inconveniencing them! The selection is much smaller than it used to be and it is very expensive. We really enjoyed the activity - but it was very much help yourself. Such a shame - it used to be lovely.

It's quite an unique experience according to me and the feeling of crafting something on your own leaves you with a heart filled with pure joy. You might find the prices of the items on which you try your hands on to be a little expensive but the experience perhaps makes it worth. There are assistance on the floor along with a little demo by the friendly staffs. There is one cafe at the site as well. Parking spaces could be a little tight on busy days.

We managed to squeeze into the last session of the day and so glad we did. The staff were very friendly and gave us a demo in painting our chosen items. The prices of each piece are written on the bottom so no surprises. Given the process that has to go into making these pieces and the work that goes into the finished article we thought the prices were reasonable. We are also having ours posted home for postage cost. We had a fantastic afternoon here and we will definitely come again when we are over on holiday again.

The pottery painting was really enjoyable but the staff need to learn how to speak to customers. We were told we would get a demonstration, this last 20seconds and was not very helpful. the people running the studio really couldnt not be bothered and really need to learn some customer service. We then picked up the pottery the following week and had lunch, very expensive and not very nice. The panini did not much filling and for the price was not good at all. We really enjoyed the painting but would find somewhere else to do it as the whole atmosphere of eden pottery is just so infriendly.

My daughter and I took our 2 grandchildren aged 5 and 6 there as a birthday treat - one chose a plate and the older one chose a bowl. They decorated it with sponge cut outs dipped in paint. The pieces are left to be put in a kiln and we collect 7-10 days later. Prices are quite expensive about £18 for plate and maybe £22 for the bowl. Afterwards we had coffee in coffee shop - some lovely buns and cakes to choose from. U cud even just go for coffee or lunch if u dont want to paint a piece of pottery

Went here for a date day with my partner and its one of the best dates we've been on. The staff are very welcoming and helpful, the space is very bright and cheerful. We're both very inexperienced with Pottery and it was very easy withe the Sponges they provide. You pick what you wanna paint and everything has a different price which at first seemed a bit steep to me but that is all you need to pay, the entire service is included and most things are about £20. Highly reccomend to anyone looking something different. There is also a cafe that's decently priced and the coffee is really good. I will definitely be back.

I was part of a socially distanced hen do in the gazebo at the weekend - it was really well catered for, especially in these trying times. We were accommodated outside, and were told to wrap up warm (needed on a wet Saturday), but the gazebo was stunningly decorated and spacious. We were able to paint and chat, as many painters were solos or in pairs inside. It was a fairly busy day, but we were checked on. Phil even came and helped us to finish off; he chatted to us all and was able to fit in some finishing touches, like stripes on mugs and teapots or edges on bowls and plaques, to suit our pieces. Will recommend, both in better times and in socially distanced times. Will be back soon!

I hadn’t been to Eden Pottery for many years since I moved away from NI. I have many of their items in my home which I love. Went today in a small group and how disappointed I was. The main focus seems to be the coffee shop now and there was quite limited stock to buy. I think it was the owner (if I remember correctly) who I asked if they had products elsewhere she was so unfriendly and rude. Even when I bought 2 beakers and ordered 2 she didn’t become any more polite or friendly. Terrible really gone downhill. We didn’t use the cafe

I visited Eden Pottery recently to buy 3 takeaway scones which totalled to £6 as a treat for a socially distanced coffee afternoon for my elderly mother in her back garden. This is extremely overpriced for scones regardless of whether you sit in or not, but the fact that I was taking them away to eat at home, made it even more ridiculous. Far too expensive for scones. To top it of, the person who I believe is the owner of this place, told me very rudely to step away from her as I was too close. Of course I understand the need to distance at this time, but she could asked me to step back and been nicer and more friendly about it. It was very rude considering this is new for everyone and it can be easy to forget. I won’t be returning anytime soon.
